Another quintessential Wellington cache I'm only just getting around to. Beautiful day to appreciate the view. Extended our visit and did a chunk of the Zelandia fence line as well. Found it okay. The cacher trail leads straight to it. All in great condition. Thanks for this.
Such a stunning spot with magnificent views. We have a perfect low wind sunny day. Thanks
tb drop We were looking at doing the crossing but weather was not in our favor so had these on the list to do at some stage myself hubby and dad, fantastic walk even if it was blowing a gail, as an added bonus the tunnels were open so we also went through, thabks for the placement and bringing us here.
No view today as cloudy and raining, but what amazing structure and the noise that the whirring blades make. Wouldnt want to be up here when Wellington gales really hit. Easy find, so pleased I could quickly sign, replace and then return to the comfort of the car.
We had a true Wellington windy southerly up here today, thankfully reduced number of muggles significantly! Awesome spot, thank you!

Great find a bit hard because of some gorse in the way but got to it in the end
Took me longer than I thought to find this one, but got there in the end. Very very happy I brought my gloves! Tftc.
Brand new cache! Awesome views and mtb ride
Thanks Hurricane Luke and agcnz for the cache in this cool location!

Thanks to lance_bu for a heads-up that the cache may be missing, it was indeed missing. Came for a walk to here this morning from home along the Zealandia fenceline in absolutely perfect weather, and the cache has been replaced in the same location. It is a camouflage-painted and labelled new-type 1-litre Sistema container with cache note and waterproof logbook inside a plastic bag. You used to be able to access it up a bank from below but there is now a lot of gorse on the bank - if you come to it from the other side your way is clear. The previous container here lasted almost exactly 6 years, let's hope this one does better. All good to go, happy caching!
Unable to locate hinted cache after searching for a while. Natural cover on bank has been cut back.
A new challenge has started for June, the hardest level being to finish the month with at least 20 individual days logged with a cache. This is going to be difficult… mainly for the fact that I’ve already cached-out most of Hutt Valley…
The weekends are a little easier as I can travel further afield. GeoHubby had asked if I could shuttle him and Miss 16 to the top of Polhill so they could 'send it' down the mtb trails, and upon checking, I was most glad to see that there happened to be this cache right near the drop off point.
The cache took a few minutes to hunt down, but we eventually got there, and all our names were written on the log. Thanks for the cache.

On a cycling mission with Gabzter13, got shuttled to the top by LL113 and UnicornLex (thanksss) found this whilst in the area
Snuck away again from the tour group to find this one. I added some swag. Nice size.
Had just attended a M&G event in the Parliament grounds, now out to find a few geocaches that I wanted to find. Thanks agcnz for the cache.
That took me a way too long time to find after searching both sides twice and puzzling out which side had to be the right one, I finally found it. Think I was too focused on the GZ which are a small bit off. TFTC
Think I followed the directions properly, but wasn’t able to spot it. There were also spiders, bees and thorns everywhere so that made it harder than I thought it would be lol
Its been a little while since my previous geocache find and so, after a brief check of todays weather forecast, I decided today would be a great day to get outside and find some more caches. I spent a few minutes looking at the geocaching map and I soon decided where I wanted to walk. I had planned myself a route which involved following the Tip Track up Hawkins Hill to the radome, then down past the Brooklyn Wind Turbine and back home through Newtown. It was my intention to find as many geocaches as practically possible during my walk without getting home too late. After running some errands in the morning followed by an early lunch, it was time to get going. I packed my bag with all the necessary geocaching tools- pen, tweezers, GPS etc. and started walking.

A great day walking in the hills! Started a bit overcast and a little spitting rain, but ended up a stunner. I was going to approach this one from the path below, lol. Quick find once I was on the right side! TFTC!!
First cache since little man #2 was born! Great find for a impromptu welcome back no pen but photo (remove if spoilers too great )
Oh tricky!
We thought it had a pen inside but it didnt so we weren't able to log in.

Beautiful day up here, the wind just going enough. After searching the obvious, expanded and easily found, TFTC
Down from Palmy for the night. Checked Google maps to see what random spots to visit and we ended up here! I actually worked at Meridian at the time the wind farm was first built so this brought back memories! After a false start we eventually found it. Thankfully the descent was less scary than coming up!! TFTC
"Concrete". Fantastic!
Had a fun drive getting up here. Should've brought some binoculars though.

We went by the windmill and followed the gps. When we first thought we found it we were on the wrong side of the little fence. But then when we went on the other side we found it! The small, steep hill was fun to venture down and we had to test with our feet to make sure we didn’t fall into a hole. When we got there it was squishy and we almost fell into a gorse bush! It had its own little slot in the ground just beside the fence post. We took a golf tee and left some rainbow fun thing. Loads of fun!
Stopped here for a quick check while walking around the Zealandia fence perimeter this afternoon. Cache is in excellent condition, no action necessary.
Found it on an absolute scorcher of a day, good location as it's possible to get it even with heaps of muggles about
I had headed up here for a nearby lab cache stage, and would be remiss if I didn't also collect this cache while in the area. Great views, but some patches of rain in the distance, and I soon headed back down, TFTC
What a great place! Couldn't look up to the blades without getting super dizzy! Sadly couldn't find the cache, but didn't have much time in between muggles either...
Thanks for the cache, agcnz!

Found not quite where we expected, but close enough. Fantastic views over Wellington from up here. Signed log and replaced where found. TFTC
Found it, but I stupidly forgot to bring a pen and there wasn’t one in the box. Rookie error from me there!
Day 19 - Labour weekend extended road trip - last day. The caching mojo is waning, so let's see where muggly hubby and I go before flying out early evening.
Hubby wanted to head up here - we were living in Mitchell Street in 1993 and could see the construction from our bedroom window. Yikes. 28 years!
Didn't often come up this way, and the info panel wasn't there when we did.
Thanks for the cache Hurricane Luke, adopted by agcnz

Found with aeshna_UK.Part of my effort to get back into geoaching and to clear my massive logging backlog! We'd been to Zealandia on a day off and came round this way afterwards. After admiring the views, I saw there was a cache nearby so took a quick stroll across for a straightforward find. TFTC!
I had parked my snail shell in the nearby NZMCA park and zoomed out to Pukerua Bay in my cachemobile to try and find a few caches.
Some interesting roads to get up here.
Cheers for the cache.
