Woops, forgot to log this event until svesh reminded us. Our first event and we had lots of fun. Thanks.
Ok, was only a short visit - but it was really good to see some fellow geocachers again. Thanks for this event and see you next year!

Sorry I was not able to attend today. My knee has not been playing nice after surgery. I hope it all went well....
Lots and lots of fun. Ryan won the male kids cache throwing event by being down on his knees and Tracey just aimed for Jim and won. (He made a decent target ) Met up with two other members of the family, one who geocaches and the other not, but we might convinve them yet. Many thanks Jim and Jill for organising another great event, always good to meet up with friends and put some faces to some names.
Great to catch up with those cachers I already knew, even better to meet several more that I hadn't yet met. I would suggest upping the terrain rating in the future though; I nearly pulled a hammy competing in the "throw a cache" competition! Cheers for the event cache!
Lovely to attend another event, and meet up with some more cachers!!
Nice to have a chilled afternoon in the park, and good to get out on the bike for a ride around!
Thanks for organising the lovely event! And have a safe journey back home when you go home, and a fun tramp!!

Nice event. It was quite a different event from what I'm used to since I'm from Sweden but it was very interesting.
#2857. Made a brief visit on our 7+ day. Would have been good to ave stayed longer to meet more of the cachers from AKL but we still had 4 more cache types to find; good to chat with those we did meet. TFTC.

Quicker than usual visit from just one of the team, with the other being the entertainer at home. Good to see everyone again.
[^][^][^] [red]2000[/red] [^][^][^] finds for us and what a great cache to make the 2000. Great to have another catch up TT, a fun time in the park for all.
Didn't do too bad in the cache throwing, but disappointing that Xena Commander wasn't there to defend the title he has held for two years.
Already looking forward to next years event.
Cheers M+S [:O)] (2000)

Unfortunately due to having to work today, only made it to the end of this event, but was still able to enjoy the sun for a bit and catch up with a few familiar faces. Will try to make a day of it next time!
Still learning how to geocache. Was here for a little while and decided to leave. I shall be back at the events later to meet cachers.
Bit late logging, but have been away ever since the event and only just got home. Great to see so many new cachers, and the weather held out as well. Always a bit of a gamble having the event on Boxing Day, but had to time it with our visit to Auckland.
The cache throwing competition showed some great throwing skills, obviously some people have been going to the gym and practicing!!!!! Keep up the skills, we will be back next year.
Thanks to everyone for coming along and helping make the event a success! Have a great 2012.

Thanks for letting us join in an event in New Zealand. Now we know what Chuck the cache is. We even got some prizes. Might see you again at some stage!
The last two years we have only been able to make the tail end of Tramper Ted's Christmas Event because of Christmas tree selling commitments. This year we were only able to attend the very beginning of the Christmas Event because of family Christmas commitments. Three Events and we've yet to witness the famed cache-throwing!
Enjoyed the chance to catch up with the Teds and a few familiar locals. Thanks.

Great to catch up with a number of other geocachers and especially with our hosts. Many thanks for organising yet again and this time from a distance.

Unfortunately turned up too late to indulge in the games but still ended up having a good old chat with some familiar faces in the sun. We were only here for a short time this year but it was good fun and look forward to coming back on time next year and making a full day of it. TFTE
As a new geocacher, it was interesting to discover how friendly Auckland geocachers are to new people.
I did enjy talking to the Wellingtonians, thanks so much for the tips for when we visit Wellington next month, looking forward to caching there.

It was good to talk to the Wellingtonian Geocashers, they were very friendly. Thanks for the useful tips for our future visit.
Thanks Tramper Ted for organizing a great event - my first.
I had a great time and loved the games.
Look forward to next year.
I did leave a TB on the desk but someone has already logged it out of my inventory.
Thanks.

We had 2 reasons to attend this event: it would count towards the 7+ a day challenge, plus it was a great opportunity to meet the locals. Only got the chance to talk to some attendees, but it was nice to connect a few familiar names with faces.
Looking forward to finding a few more Auckland caches while we are here (and while the weather holds!).
Thanks for hosting the event.

Thank you so much for holding the event on one of only a few days back in Auckland. enjoyed catching up with old friends and meeting new one. Also, having 'allowed' hubby to go golfing, I had the whole day to cache.
Arrived a little late, but enjoyed the trackable swapping, and cache nattering. G2 showed off his cache repair kit to Master and Miss Jacksonz, which was much appreciated. Ham sandwiches and frisbee in the sun - a great way to spend Boxing Day evening. Thank you Tramper Ted. (Number 5 of our 7 different cache types in one day).
Another great event put on by TramperTed, thanks guys. Hope this one does not indeed conclude the series of these events. Great to see some familiar faces and meet a few new ones, and a much better showing this year in the cache chucking than I've ever done before - all that gym work has been worth it!
Thanks again and merry xmas everyone, safe travels, and happy new year! TFTC!!!

great to attend the post xmas event. thanks to Tramper ted and Jill for organising it again. nothing beats good weather, company and food.
Nice to see how an event in New Zealand is like. Looking forward to see what "Chuck the cache" is. Never heard of that before.
We try to make it, but we can't promise anything.
If we don't see each other: Merry Christmas!

Sorry we're not going to make it this year. Merry Christmas and a happy new year with a prosperous haul of caches for everyone in 2012.

No secret Santa - cause its after the event so to speak. Sharpen your cache throwing skills though!
I go home to Dunedin for Christmas, but will be back home in Auckland perfectly in time for this! Although I am on call at work that day, but let's just hope nothing happens...
So as it stands thus far, I'll be attending!

Alas I will be in Christchurch this Christmas so I will not be attending, I was hoping to take out the cache throwing this year too!
Hi, my wife and I are new Temporal Anomaly Hunters in Auckland. We're keen to meet others and we have no other plans at present for Boxing Day. We'd love to join you at Cornwall Park, if that is okay. We'll also be at the 11-11-11 event so we hope to meet plenty of folk there too.
Not likely to get there I am afraid. Hoping nobody chucks any of my caches for practice- the problem is that the caches I most want to chuck are the ones I can't find which of course is physically impossible
Will try to attend, and bring Small, Micro ( and maybe Regular and Nano ) with me as well.
This sounds pretty good to us. Am marking it in the calendar and will look forward to it.

What a surprise it was for us when this event popped up. We will try everything possible to be there, at least for 1-2 hours (our parents are here for a visit).
