Found on our road trip from Melbourne via the Great Ocean Road to Goolwa SA
Day 2 of my road trip through the south west of Victoria... Colac to Warrnambool... with plans to find lots of caches along the way to help with a collection of different challenges I am working on... and generally have a great time!
Warrnambool at last... but my caching day was far from over. My target while I was here was to find at least 12 caches withing the City of Warrnambool to tick off one more LGA for the *12 Circuits of Victoria Challenge*. Wanting to get as many 's as possible before dinner, I was concentrating on caches in this corner of town.
Thanks **Kia1** for this cache and highlighting a little piece of Warrnambool's history that would otherwise be missed by many visitors.

Ocw the Bebes. What a lovely walk and nice history. Found the cache no worries. Tftc
Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to Kia1 for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

Found on a beautiful evening, decided to go on a walk with the fam to get this one. Lived in the area a long time, have heard about this area many times but have never visited so thank you. TFTC
Found both the containers, though none was hidden quite in-line with the hint.
Signed dry log and tried to let the other dry out a little. TFTC.

In Warrnambool and out caching with Pprass. Thanks for hiding and adding to our pleasure in exploring the area.
found on a wet and windy weekend exploring the Warnambool area on Melbourne Cup weekend 22 while most of the state was Flooding. Tftc
Took the school group because it related to location which we were studying in maths
Thanks found while out today exploring the Warrnambool coast line areas been an enjoyable day.
Incredible location - thanks for the walk! Attachment method no longer works so left as I found it. Tftc
Beautiful day after a rainy start to the day... loved learning the history of Grannys Grave TFTC
My friend and i were on a walk with my dogs and i looked on my phone and remembered that they're was 1 near us so we went and looked and after a while we found it a d put our names in zac and avi
Nice bike ride around to a lovely spot although Mrs did manage to make Doc fall off his bike. RIP Granny. TFTC. cheers.
I found this cache on a caching adventure out west by myself. Testing out the new van to see how it goes as a camper.
Today I would start at Sawpit Free campground, where I camped last night and drive home via Warrnambool.
Found the cache easily, thanks to a nice hint. On replacing it, the attachment felt loose. The cache was attached, but the attachment didn’t feel strong. I took it off and tried again a few times but it kinda felt it was just sitting there.

Claiming a find, Found the velcro glued to the timber exactly as the hint indicated. However no cache container or a log to sign, No sign of cache under the steps.
Last day in Warrnambool and still continuing our tradition of my wife off on a long 10+ km run, I took off caching. Today was to aim for some high favourite pointed caches and then Hopkins River.
Had a lovely walk from Point Richie reading about the history of Geanny when I couldn't see the view. The only people here went past just as I arrived and I was then able to see the cache after looking in a few places. Signed it at 7.40 am.
Thanks for the cache Kia 1

This was pretty cool. Had to wait a while as there were lots of people around today. Thanks for the hide.
Well, that took me longer than it should!
Co-ords were jumping a bit on my phone, but had it in hand eventually!

Found it. Was on ground. Could not find velcro. Placed back in position. Fantastic walk.
Took a while to find (even with the hint) but eventually located the hide. We’ve been on holiday to the area several times and have always intended to visit Granny’s Grave but have kept putting it off until today. Lovely views for a final resting place. TFTC
Coords were spot on and had cache I'm hand quick enough. From the lid I could tell it was supposed to be sticking to something but wasn't the case when I arrived. Logged and placed back where I found it. TFTC
An interesting bit of local history. Thanks for that and your cache. Location as per clue sans velcro.
Cheers

Took a bit of looking. Put back where we found, but no longer attached to Velcro
Wow couldn’t believe our luck. After loosing horribly so many times, we needed this win. Really gave us the encouragement boost we needed to continue on our hunts. We are coming for you river mouth

A quick find by Beavar, as the rest of the party finally caught up. SL at 1.54pm We stayed for a while to watch for whales and we were finally rewarded with sightings of a mother and baby. There were a small party of other excited watchers joining us for about 1/2 an hour. So glad we finally saw a whale or two this visit. #8107 TFTC Kia1
Lovely walk on the path. Pity there were no whales to spot. Took the TB with us to go east. TFTC.
