Down from Whangarei in Christchurch for a while to visit our first grand daughter. Made time as well to get out and about finding a few caches, especially puzzles solved ages ago, to clear them off the list.A nice quick find on this one, once at GZ. Pleased to avenge the DNF from 2022, but unfortunately, no final puzzle piece in the cache now. TFT(P)C
Found a cache as per the hint but were a bit confused it says Buchan Park cache. Anyway we signed the new log sheet and replaced exactly as found. Sadly no clue for the final was within this cache. Thank you.
A trip over the dittecch and I'm in the land of the big white cloud. Yep, Made it to Christchurch and onto Dunedin for a week of caching. DAY Three, (24/10) yep, its the same crew of Bluewattle, Snickersallan, Wollaston and myself touring around town. Today we are doing a series of challenge caches, some solved puzzle caches and a few multis. It's a long drive to Diamond Harbour and Deep Gully Bay before heading over to West Melton and surrounds to get some of the eclipse series. Had a few others on the list as we passed by collecting some of Christchurchs cool caches. There are a few set target caches along the way. The are some amazing areas of Christchurch and I have enjoyed driving around and seeing the fantastic sights, thank you for showing us around. All logs were signed and all caches replaced as found. Thanks for the placements. At first glance we thought these were challenge caches, opps.
Touring around with a lovely group of Aussie geo friends for a few days in Christchurch, picking up some solved puzzles, and selected others on our to-do list.Enjoyed this one and the quick find once at GZ.Thank you, 8ManAfter, for another good hide.
Outnabout with Chamad, Snickersallan & Bluewattle on my first ever trip across the ditch. After a week of caching around Brisbane and at events last month with other Geo friends, I couldnt pass up the opportunity to hop on board for a NZ Mega adventure. Another great day for caching. TFTC 8ManAfter
Thanks for placing and maintain for our enjoyment Found with Snickersallan, Wollaston and chamadVisiting Christchurch for a few days before heading down to attend Geotora Mega
I came across this puzzle series last time I was in Christchurch and solved the first five when I got back to Palmerston North.Finding them is one of my aims for this trip.Having DnF'ed #1, I was keen to get as many of the others to try and solve #6.I found **a** cache at hint object at the solved coords, but it had a different name on the logbook, and no puzzle piece for #6 ---I won tickets to see [Lve](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Live_(band)) play in Christchurch last time they were in NZ (20+ years ago) but I couldn't make it to the concert (I still have the tickets!)They've come back down under and I'm not letting the opportunity pass me by again! With my work leave and (more importantly) my home leave approved, I flew down last night for the concert tomorrow night. Today I cached my way around Wigram, joining forces with ThatDarnBear for the afternoon. I managed to find caches for the last three missing dates on my Hidden Date calendar, which finally qualifies me for [The 365/366 Challenge - Manawatu](https://coord.info/GC7R80A).And this cache was one of them! [:X]All in all, an excellent day.
In Christchurch visiting the grown up kids. Had made a list of various D/T rated caches that I needed to find for some UK challenges. We enjoy this sort of puzzle. Enjoyed being on the bike once the rain stopped. Cache and log all fine here. Thanks 8ManAfter for the smiley
Trouve ! / Found it ! 4951me cache trouve.Merci 8ManAfter pour la cache 4951th cache found.Thank you 8ManAfter for the cache
Had a go last time on CHCH no joy. This time it was there. I am sure I look there? Thanks
Down in the Christchurch area with woolwood9. Thank you for the reason to visit this cache and location SL *tm/ww NZ**Good series of puzzles, the container was found well away from the hint but returned to it.*
Another day on my trip to Christchurch with tmann421.Bit of a slower day today but still many fun hides found.Signed logs tm/ww NZThanks to cache owners for all their efforts
Found with Gummi_Venus. I broke my pen probing around for this one! Turns out it was much easier to find than I was trying to make it. Found it shortly after, signed, and clue collected. Another high quality 8ManAfter puzzle. Ive really enjoyed doing these and look forward to final. Have a FP on me!
On a weekend caching mission to qualify for another GLSC licence.
Solved ages ago. A quick find of the well hidden cache at GZ just where the hint said it would be.

I'm from Paihia/Whangarei and I'm down in the South Island for 6 days with NZ_B on a geocaching trip. We signed the logs as NZL. I had a few goals for the trip and I was very pleased to achieve them all *50 or 60 puzzles for my diamond badge on project gc*40 caches to get to my 6000th find*some South Island minutes for a challenge*but mostly a clean out of my ever growing solved puzzle list.Monday we collected the windmill geoart on our way to Oamaru. Tuesday the focus was solved A2O puzzles, the sunflowers and other solved puzzles. Wednesday we headed back to Christchurch collecting challenges and more solved puzzles. Thursday's focus was the Smile series around Lake Ellesmere. Today it's the old Port Hills cache and puzzles in the Christchurch area. Again after a dnf last year I was keen to find this one on this trip. I was very pleased to find it today and I don't recall having any trouble locating it. Sorry it's been 2 weeks since I was down. I'm still catching up on my logging but my memory is fading. Thanks for another fun puzzle cache solved in March 2021
Team G0LD ( 0B80B8, Lis's crew & DaffyNZ ) on a caching mission to Christchurch. We had travelled down from Whangarei yesterday, so today was our first full day to get into it.
Solved puzzles were going to be the main focus of our trip. We had spent a lot of 2020 and 2021 solving over 400 puzzles, so we had a lot on our list. Thankfully the weather looked like it was going to play ball today, as caching in the rain is always just that bit harder.
Unfortunately another DNF here on this series that we were hoping to complete this trip. Thx anyway.

Geo-Roadtrip in the South Island with TrinityNZ and JustlookingOO to collect some PWGT's and as many other caches as we can.Having just touched down in Chch there were two caches that we wanted to log before heading to our accommodation so that we could hit the ground running in the morning. I hadn't solved this one but signed the log 2/09/22, and have just completed the Sujiken puzzle tonight with Miss 17. She really loves sudoku and found this puzzle really enjoyable. The cache was a trickster to find. We were about to give up but I gave the area one last sweep and finally spotted it. Phew! Thanks for the introduction to the new puzzle, and the cache. I'll make sure I complete the other few puzzles in this series to collect the next time I'm in Chch.
I enjoyed this puzzle, the first of the series I’ve tried. It was pretty challenging and I was surprised I got it right first time Three of us are down from Wellington for a fun geocaching weekend, and called in here on our way to our accommodation. Even though it was dark, that’s no excuse for how long it took us to find the cache! Thanks for a fun puzzle and a fun find.
Was wondering where it was but luckily I had indiboo with me and her hand could reach a little further than mine! Glad to sign off another in the series.
Thanks for the cache, 8ManAfter

Nearly missed this cache container. Pays to have another look. Down staying with NosyNel for a few days; doing some caching and seeing the sites with her and Jude_E. TFTC 8ManAfter.
I loved solving this puzzle, the challenge is fun. At GZ, it was a different type of fun... It took three of fun to find it. Little cacher couldn't find it, despite the hint, Dad reported it as missing, and confirmed it was missing after extending a bit his search. I found it in a matter or seconds. Sometimes, our brains are really looking for different things. The logbook and container were fine, thanks for the hide.
Have solved them all now (and got number 5 all on my lonesome). A quick find here after a dnf at #2 yesterday. Many thanks for the kind of puzzle that I can solve 8ManAfter
I quite enjoyed these puzzles, I had never seen them before I discovered this series of caches. As we were fairly near this one we called by to see if we could find it and sure enough after a short search we did.
The log was signed and the cache returned.
Thanks for the puzzle cache and thank you for the smiley

Have got 4 of these sorted now, gradually getting to the hides to obtain the figures needed for the last one which will possibly lead to some unladylike language! We'll see. TFTC and the enjoyable puzzle, found with Coconuts3 today, who quickly put their fingers on the container.
We love Sudoku puzzles and enjoyed learning about these. Out with busy paws to pick up a few we have completed. Thanks for these new puzzles for us and the cache 8ManAfter.
Oh that's a first, I wrote a log for this puzzle when I solved it:
Solved April 2018. Got a bit of a craze on these after checking out what Isis had been up to.
A bit more scribbling on this page, the puzzles must be getting harder .
Today was the day to drop by and sign the log. Thanks .

Right, there's a good chance I'm an idiot for not seeing this last time. I'm going to blame it on the fact I would've been looking close to midnight and wouldn't have shined my light in the right place. Oh well, quick find this time. TFTC!
After a bit of a false start we reread logs and ended up with the cache - solved at home in Motuekaquite a while ago - nice to have the log signed - thanks for the puzzle and the cache
Solved ages ago but not had chance to claim. Had a little hiccup with co ords on site but a litle hunting and common sense gave us the find. Thanks for the cache.
Thought this would be an easy find after getting the green tick but it wasn't. Maybe I just didn't look in the right spot
STAY HOME, STAY SAFE, STAY SMART!

Today we walked up and put a hand on the replacement cache immediately, being very familiar with the location after the last visit. Many, many thanks for the prompt replacement 8ManAfter. We now have all the bits for puzzle 6. Just the thing to while away the time on a long haul plane flight in a couple of days! Thanks for the series. (BTW - given the new hide height, the hint should be updated.)
Although the coordinates are somewhat off, there is only one lamp post. We poked in every possible nook nearby, not just at the base. Given that there are a limited number of these, we suspect that the cache is missing.
Day 3 in Christchurch for the long weekend with the crew from Dunedin and South land. On the list for the day of finds to find. Found with KJR, Natalie247, CJ-Curry.. TFTC
With no Mega in sight for the weekend, a bunch of Otago and Southland cachers invaded Christchurch this weekend. Today I cached with Gadget169, K.J.R, and natalie247 to blitz our way through a bunch of caches in and around western Christchurch. Apologies for the C&P logs but I'll never catch up otherwise!
After the Smurf series and before catching up with the rest of the crew for a small handful of other caches, we made a quick stop off to this one. What a nifty idea for a puzzle - the others had it solved but I had to settle for making short work of it at home. Cheers!

In Christchurch for the long weekend with some of the crew from Otago and Southland. Today was spent targeting the eclipse and smurf series with Gadget169, Natalie247 and CJ-Curry. Mission completed and time to head back to town for a couple of night caches. Quick stop here along the way and a nice quick find. Don't think we will have time to find the others in this series so going to be on another list for a future geocaching adventure TFTC
In Christchurch for the Otago/Southland raid on Christchurch... as there is no Mega this labour weekend we decided to make our own mini Epic event. Jumped in a car with a few others from Dunedin (Gadget169, KJR and CJ-Curry) and having finished the Eclipse series earlier this afternoon and the smurfs as the sun set, it was time to meet up with others for night caches. KJR and Gadget wanted to grab this series as we passed - checked my map and yay a solved puzzle symbol so good to go too

Found at 2:31 pm while on a week's break in Christchurch. Will expand log when we get back home (as well as answers to questions, qualifying caches, photos, etc.).
At the time I solved this, I needed this D/T combination to fill a hole in my grid (thanks to my only 3.5/1.0 find being reclassified at D5), so I set about solving. I recall it taking a while, but eventually got a solution (as well as solving the other sudoku-like puzzles around). This was the last find on our trip as it was on our way back to the airport, and it was a quick find too. All good here. TFTC

Meanwhile this is my third geocaching-trip to Middle-Earth . And I love it! [:X]
Still there are routes and places in this beautiful country that are on the 'discover-me' list and want to be visited and explored. .
After a 3-days side-trip to New Caledonia I gladly returned to NZ , via AKL to the South-Island - Christchurch [^].
Day #19 was dedicated to picking up some caches / challenges / pre-solved mysteries around CHR-Airport and along the scenic ride up north to Kaikora .
Today, the day was my friend [^]! Not a single DNF !
Picked up quite somecool treasures - Just like this one:
Met a lovely kitten at the nice hiding spot... We immediately made friends !
Thanks to the owner [:X] for placing and maintaining this cache and best regards from Germany!

Found. Lid broken as mentioned but everything still there. Enjoying this series.
Found the cache container lidless, then found pieces of lid and a couple of trinkets strewn nearby. Put log and trinkets in new plastic bag and replaced cache upside down to try to keep water out. Tftc, enjoying the series!
I was very grateful for the straight forward easy find here as it was dark by the time I got here. Really pleased to have another in the bag. The container has lost its lid - maybe due to the weedeater? Anyway not sure how but the log is as good as gold. TFTC # 12,313
We solved the puzzles of this series a few days ago. It took a bit to get all the coordinates. Today we went for the finals to get the clues for the Bonus. This was the second one we found. The GPS was a bit inaccurate but after reading the hint it was clear where we could sign the logbook.
Thanks for showing! Tftc

Solved over 2 yrs ago for the mega event. Didn't get around to finding it at the time so came by today. No problem finding the cache.
As there is only one lamppost I was certain I was in the right spot. Yet after fingering every nook and cranny I retreated empty handed
I needed this one for a d/t so this was a must one and again another nice quick find.
Great variety of locations and containers. Tftc found with rayzr2

The map of Chch didn't have the appropriate streets I wanted marked on it but did have the grid reference so it was a case of driving in ever decreasing circles as I zoned in on the appropriate spot. Parking no ideal but a nice day for a walk. Once there it was a quick find.
Doing these puzzles before going to bed the last three nights. Not too big a challenge so far. Nice to solve though. Tftc. Phew got my daily!
solved this one in taranaki, wish we had time and were able to find all the qlues to find the final but it has not ended up that way. TFTC
As a puzzle inventor myself, I had to try this series. Nice puzzle. This was was harder than the first couple - still I had it solved in no time . Got the go-ahead from GeoCheck.
Decide to retrieve the caches in order. This one was pretty close to the previous. Another easy find - I like these. Log signed, clue to final recorded, I was off to the next. Thanks 8ManAfter

Completed this series (with alot of help from outside parties), had these in my gps and had the opportunity to turn the question mark to a smile. -1 outside and the grass was crunchy under foot. Managed to pratically nab this with out the use of the gps as the hint was spot on. Spotted the prize from distance away and signed the log. Replaced a bit further around the object so it was out of sight. Thank you for bringing me to this place and placing this cache 8ManAfter from Mr Cuddly Brick , cache 1357 on this mighty day the 26 July 2016 Mr Cuddly Bricks You Tube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCspYYJI5ZIvUE9ncq1_rpYw

Since I maintain the German Sujiken-series it was out of the question to find the caches in NZ on our trip.
The puzzles were already solved a few months back so we could (with a little help of 8ManAfter) start the search after arriving in Christchurch.
Together with StiftLeer and RuhigBrauner we made a quick grab.
Thanks for hiding and maintaining these!

Nice and quite in the morning, time to find another in the series. I wound myself into a suitable street, parked up, and went for a short walk. Everyone still having a snooze, so nice and quick find for me. No chance of taking a picture of the hint for no. 6 as my phone was on the verge of dying - I hope I remember TFTC!!!
Another great find - thanks for the series. Unfortunately only two more left for us - looking forward to #6. TFTC

Day 12 of my New Zealand Cache hunt. I set myself a massive challenge to find 41 Mystery / Puzzle caches to make my Tally 150+ for the trip as well as the related cache Plane Challenging - 1680. After completing the requirements of Mysteries in the Horse series, I decided a few Challenge caches were in order. After finding the 1680 Challenge, I still had heaps of time to find a handful more solved puzzles. Getting quite close to completing this series, but just going to run out of time. A quick find here.

Thoroughly enjoyed doing the Sujiken-terbury puzzles so it was great to find them and get our autographs in the book.

Out for some Mega caching with Kyzabra and Jinta29 today. Beautiful country cached today..Thank you 8ManAfter for placing and maintaining this cache.
Have had a great time solving these puzzles. Had to work them out the old fashioned way.
Scouting around to get the ones needed to solve the final hopefully tonight over a few drinks.
Jinta29 and I decided to head out this morning to grab and grab as many D/T combinations as possible. The Green Geckos decided to join us so off we went.

Kyzabra and I headed over for the Christchurch Mega from Perth, WA. We teamed up with The Green Geckos for the DT series and a few others today.
A lot of planning was involved with literally hundreds of puzzles solved and we targeted some highly favorited caches as well as those that filled gaps in grids and calenders!
We had a fantastic time caching in the cooler climate and with no fear of snakes or other nasties! Christchurch is my old home town but I did not know about caching when I lived there so it was fun exploring the City with a different objective.
We were glad to grab the smiley on this one and we replaced the container as found. Thanks 8ManAfter for placing this and bringing us to this spot!
