An extended long weekend with lots of caching yay! The weather ended up being better than predicted and I had a ball thanks to all CO's!
I must have been absolutely blind at my previous n visits... Visit number n+1 and an unbelievably quick find! TFTC!!
South Australia is the place be for GCA1DNA - MEGA - February 29th, 2024 in Adelaide! Hope to see you at The Great Leap Forward!

Back over the hill to finish off this month's challenge. After a bad look here a couple of weeks ago it was almost straight to it today, even with the gardeners having morning tea nearby.
Over the hill today to pick up some highly favourited hides. And, despite the recent couple of days of heavy rain, it was a pleasant drive over and not a drop of rain as I geo-cycle-m-version 2-ed the 24km loop. This was not one of them. Now reading back through the logs, I think I was looking in the wrong area.
My son was doing a rubbish in the area with his Scout group so it gave me time to go and find this sneaky little cache. Unfortunately the ants have decided to claim it as a home, TFTC!
I eventually found this one, after 3 visits. Always looking at the wrong place
Geez bit of a hard one to find if you don’t know what your looking for definitely have to say it really is a cool looking cache indeed TFTC
#11,365. I am geocaching around Nelson today before flying back to Wellington. Heading out towards Mapua direction for a challenge cache I ran out of time to sign yesterday. But picking up a few others along the way. After parking we headed to GZ. I checked one side and my friend the other. She was onto it. Clever cache hide. Now I realise what the title is referring to. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache as found. Thanks beltfamily for hiding it here. Worth a favourite for the effort put into this one.
Tonight we had a family takeaway meal near this cache. After we finished our dinner we came and found the hide.
Quiet if unhealthy dinner in the picnic spot this evening. Cache relatively quick to find and signed by the family. TFTC
Spent a wee bit of time in the wrong place before a wider search produced the find. A great sunny morning for being out and about. Didn't really know this place existed. Thanks for taking us here and TFTC. Find number 6 for the morning.
I was faked out and looked in the normal spots before I realized it was right there. The CO may want to do a quick check. Is there a missing retention device? TFTC.
I must have been Useless last time as I did not find it. Easy find today thankfully. Cheers.
With the weather looking better on this side of the divide than Marlborough , I headed over the hill for the CITO at Tahuna. Still lots of daylight after the event and with shopping sorte,d I went exploring for a few green boxes in the vacinity before returning home.. Thankfully the weather played ball. Met drizzle at Rai then the rains and wind descended as I was entering Picton. Glad to be home.

Found nothing that could have been a cache! Thanks any way, will try again soon.
Bit of searching here but got there in the end, some people further along the path doing a fish survey - mosquito fish perhaps
When I arrived to gz I realised that we had a family picnic nearby many moons ago, and gave this a go with daughter with not much luck. I was just as useless today!
When the husbands away the wives will play haha - Straight out the door for a Saturdays geocaching adventure with Missnboyz. This one had somehow become separated from its container but we soon found the log and reunited it in its proper place. nice location. TFTC
Shells and I found this one today it wasnt quite as it should but it's back together now and hidden away. Tftc
Wasn't an easy find but got there in the end. Log is full, we didnt have replacements today sorry!
It took a while for me to get a consistent satellite lock which seems to have been the thing for me today. Amazing how sometimes the weather can interfere. Add to that not knowing whether I was looking for a nano or small or a regular or what the hint meant was getting frustrating. Once I ignored the terrain rating I managed to spot an item of interest and yep that was the cache. Whew! Thanks beltfamily, your cache is in good condition and nicely made.
Yay finally turned this blue face into a yellow...with the helps of some eagle eyed kids we got it. Very nice hide. TFTC
Finally. I have been here a few too. First time DNF, the others... muggles. Well today there were some kids on bikes but they soon disappeared. TFTC
One of 10 caches located this morning on a cycle ride part of the way to Rabbit Island. Turned around half-way there mostly because the weather was totally unappealing and threatening to rain! We then drove to Rabbit Island in the afternoon and biked around, picking up more caches there.
Found this one reasonably quickly. It could have taken a whole lot longer! #3070. TFTC.

Yes I felt a bit useless with a previous DNF. How did I miss that. I blame the dog of course. Today out for a quick bike ride so decided to pull over and have another look. Almost instant find this time. Well at least it clears away another blue frown. Thanks for the cache.
Need to up my finds for the day so see has been found recently. I had tried a while ago but busier time with odd muggles going past and didnt have proper oportunity to search. Muggle lawnmower man as in nearby carpark fueling up his vehicle but out of sight. Had a good look and spotted something then it was just a case of being in right spot to get it. Amazed this was still here as odd floods etc must affect? TFTC and pleased to get the smiley
Out for the day with Pomsabroad down the coast track to Rabbit Island. Fifth find of the day. Didn't see any info about invasive fish though
I parked close to another cache close by, but workers were having their lunch break exactly at GZ. So I strolled down to this cache. Quick look here, quick look there, quick walk over there, nothing.
Another look from one side and I spotted something and thought this could be it. Back to the other side to have a closer look and voilà.
Once more I enjoyed a very nice cache container! Thank you to the owner!

Having a great day caching...finding many novel hides....this an oldie but a goodie ...thanks Beltfamily for the nicely constructed cache..I love the evil intent
Well I'm not sure where this should have been but as macwatt was on his hands and knees I spotted something in the grass and was sure this was the cache as for some reason it looked out of place. It sure was the cache, a little damp bit writeable. Thanks for the placement belt family
Could only find a big sign with no mention of the mosquitofish. No luck finding cache.
Yeah, we're useless. Could not find the cache, could not find the small sign.
I have set myself a challenge for this year to have at least the same number of caches on each day of my calender as the number of years I have been caching.
Today the target is nine but I just might go over that number.
Decided to venture down this road and onto this part of the trail.
Cheers for the cache.

Quick find for Jo on the trail today, thanks Belt family.
Monday was Marlborough Anniversary Day, so a good chance for myself and Jo to head over the hill for a few smilies. It has been a while since we have done some caching, so we were looking forward to this. So we loaded up the bikes with the aim of sampling some of the good taste trail in and around Richmond and Hope. That proved to be a moderately successful few hours. Then a stop for some retail therapy and a bite to eat, and with the weather looking a little more menacing we decided to do rack up the steeds and do park and grabs for the rest of the day, in whichever way they fell. Good fun, and the rain never eventuated, so all up an enjoyable trip. Thanks to all COs, and apologies for the cut and paste.

Visiting the Area and out on a walk with two of the JegsBigg team. Also got a "Wet knee" looking for this one...but didn't take too long to find. TFTC
Found with NZDi after a shopping trip to Nelson this morning. I normally don't get a sleep-in on the weekend, but last night when we went to bed there were no plans set to do anything in particular today, so I snuggled up in bed for a rare bit of indulgence. To my horror NZDi got out of bed at 6.15am and made herself some breakfast and came back to bed. I just closed my eyes again and she was up tearing off the covers and saying 'Get up, we're going to Nelson.
Apparently she had run out of her special hair shampoo which she can only get in Nelson, so our plans for the day were suddenly altered. I barely had time for breakfast and a shower before we were out the door and on our way.
With no fore-warning of the trip, there was no time to make a plan for todays activity so any caching done was going to be on the fly.
After ending our shopping trip in Richmond NZDi asked if I had anywhere sorted to go caching and not realising that was part of her plan today I said 'Give me a minute'. Unlike some, Nelson is still a 'target-rich' environment for me, so it didn't take long for me to discover a string of caches along the Great Taste Trail. After parking at the end of Headingly Lane, this was our third on the trail.
As we approached this one we were unsure which of the various track to take, so I changed the map settings on c:geo and all became clear. At GZ I told NZDi to look on one side while I looked on the other. NZDi quickly had the cache in hand and the paperwork was soon done and replaced as found.

Found while out caching with Kiwimykl, refer to his log for details.
I thought I got the FTF on this one as there has been no hint added.

A quick look and we figured out where it was likely to be and sure enough, nice wee hide and cache all in good order.
I went for a walk along the cycle trail gosh we are lucky here in Nelson to have these places to go . I searched for quite a while with the help from paddle chick discovered it .This is an awesome cache and it deserves a favorite .Thanks for this cache beltfamily
This wasn't in my GPSr, but Wicm Jnr wanted to stop and show it to me anyway. Signed the log then later discovered it wasn't in my GPSr because I found out back in Jan 2014. Three and a half years ago - that's probably why I didn't remember it!
