Spent a long time here.. .
Good park....
Easy walk to gz...no wet feet .
Left no stone unturned....or so I thought....turned many several times .
Is it really still there !
Would love to know for sure....before trying again.

Well this has to be the most difficult cache I've found so far, which also makes it the most rewarding. Getting to GZ was the hard part. First I tried to approach from one direction, but sank almost to my ankles in mud, so beat a hasty retreat. I then tried from the other side, where at first I thought there was no way through the fence, & once I found it I had to fight my way through bushes & gorse & cross a stream... & eventually found the 'rocky' area referred to in the hint. I wondered how many rocks I'd have to look under to find the cache, but luck was on my side & I found it fairly quickly. As mentioned by other cachers, the log is almost confetti, so I left a new slip of paper to be signed by anyone else crazy enough to reach this cache! Now to make my way back to my car...
Had stopped to do another cache close to work on the way home and as it was still light and this is one that's been annoying thought would give it a go.
Approached the general area and there are huge earthworks going on. The area was fenced off with huge warning and DO NOT ENTER signs.
I wandered around the entire perimeter and was about to give up. However as I wandered back to the car I found my access point.
I followed the fence line and got to GZ without having to cross any of the earth work fences.
Soon had cache in hand but the container isn't as described. The log paper was a very worn and torn. I couldn't sign it however have attached photo as proof.
This needs maintenance and it should have an additional warning about the earth works and to take care if attempting with younger cachers.
Good to have this area completed with smilies.

Was in the vicinity for another cache (another dnf!) and thought we'd check this one out. Well, didn't really get the chance to have a good look, this area is jam-packed full of muggle workers in their construction gear and trucks etc. Google tells me they're constructing a $37million Whitewater Park!
Didn't take long to find, the hard bit was getting there! It was a cold morning but not cold enough to freeze the puddles so I had to step carefully!! I have be meaning I get this one for a while now!! Good to finally get it!! Tftc
I'm not sure why I skipped over this cache in the past, but today I was determined to stop and look for it. The approach was a bit wet. I got to GZ and looked for a tell tale sign, but didn't see it right away. After a bit of pointless searching, I did spot something out of the ordinary and found the cache. Took a much drier way back to the car. TFTC.
Nice quick find by Mrs ToT. Log damp & cache so dried as best we could. TFTC!!!
Have been wanting to get this one off my to do list for a while.
So was in the area and thought I would make a short detour.
Nice little walk to GZ, had to laugh at the hint...like no kidding! I figured that one out on my own :-p

5516. We are up for the week at a Social Justice conference at the nearby event centre. Today we are both working on building a house for the Habitat for Humanity organisation. It was a great day, if somewhat tiring, but Rodney managed to sneak away during the lunch break and find this cache to complete our streak going. The ground was very wet and muddy, but not at GZ. GPS located the area but was not much help after that. Took a lot of searching before the container was found and logbook signed. Thanks. Rodney and Iris.
Thought I would try this one today. But security was all around the area. Will try again another day
I don't think the ground on the way to this cache would ever dry out. Very damp in several places.
Cheers for the cache.
Quickly after work, luckily I kept my work boots and between showers, manage to keep somehow dry, nice location in the middle of Manukau and motor ways .

In Manakau for the Day so took a spare moment before heading back into town to grab this cache. Quickly found the replacement cache as it was a little exposed---cheers for replacing! Returned with a little more camo on replacement. Cheers for the cache placement!
Have done a double check at the Double clear cache. As the cache could be "misplaced" everywhere, I left an extra cache behind.
So now we have a Double cache to . Just log on either of the caches

No luck for stairman1 and I today. Searched high and low but we couldn't locate it.
Approaching GZ the trio of cachers let out a groan as we saw what was ahead. Luckily the cache was quickly found only to discover that the lid was cracked and the log book completely mush.
We managed to find a piece of paper that we stamped before replacing the cache back as directed in the description.

Collected with a cadre of cachers after checking out Ellie nearby.
Soon located, logbook was complete mush, bag with plenty of water, dried out as best we could, container was located positioned as requested in "note" but lid is broken, Found some paper nearby, stamped it and replaced in the cache as best we could.

On our way to the Auckland puzzle skills event & took the opportunity to grab a few caches on the way. Sadly, the cracked lid on this cache means the contents are sodden. Left our mark as best we could.
Made a hash of this cache, Xaras double clear rocks left us mumbling, where is it, then finally AV2 got it. What were we thinking to take so long....??? Doh. . Yep cache log is dripping and almost pulpy. Left a small piece of paper with our imprint on it in container. TFTC and the mutterings....... happy to find it eventually.
had to take of the shoes and socks to wade through the grass, the wetlands have spread far from their boundaries. Unfortunately red was up and the container again was full of water, log to sodden to write on
I'm not sure if I approached from the right angle but it worked and so left the same way. Great view of the venue. Container filled to the brim with water so tipped that out which sort of sealed the way to the log. Got there in the end. I'm sorry but as I'm logging this after finding several other caches I can't remember if the log is ok or not. TFTC #3475
Doing some cache maintenance in the area, so had to go for this one today.
found it eventually as was well hidden.. just a matter of elimination one by one! cache container lid slightly damaged, and log book a little damp, but should be ok for a while given the nature of the container tftc

Today had a good chance to get out of the rain, but still with wet feet check the cache.
It was out in the open Please re-hide well. Red must be down.
Have replace logbook with new plastic bag.

Walk to GZ was a bit of a swamp after some rain, but after orienteering in Waiuku Forest for 3 hours in the drizzle it wasn't going to stop Team Welsh or is that Team Wet!! Found the log but as it resembles paper mush it was impossible to sign. Lots of fun sloshing our way back to the car and finally homeward bound after a great day of orienteering and caching. TFTC
Nice hide, managed to avoid any muggles. Unable to sign the log as it is saturated. TFTC.
I had my 4wd drive jandals with me, so getting across to GZ was no worries. Josie enjoyed playing (read chasing all over the place) with the Pukekos. I could not sign the log as it was soaked and should be replaced. Thanks.
Cache log a soggy mess, dried it in the sun for 10 minutes but it urgently needs replacing.
Bit of a soggy trip to GZ, ended up having to take a wide detour to avoid getting totally messy. GZ felt like a needle in the haystack, but I've dealt to worse and the cache was soon in hand. Found the log submerged in water and too wet to write on. What to do the cache page said this log had to be signed. Dried everything out in the sun for a while and managed to leave a large sig on the log.

Thought it was an easy drive by - didn't have time for a rock turning exercise this morning.
Needed to get out and get at least one cache this weekend and this one was the closest unfound to home. A few cars in the carpark but no one around so made the walk to GZ. The ground was quite dry on the way to the cache which was lucky as i was only wearing jandals. Coords were spot on for me as i made a pretty quick find but cache was hidden quite well. Nicely done with the cache btw. Never seen this type of hide before Had abit of dramas with my pen as it didnt work when i went to sign the log so had to go back to the car for another one. TFTC!
Stopped here on the way further North for some caches. Yes I got wet shoes and socks and no I did not find it. In my opinion if there is a hidden puzzle type twist to this cache then to find the cache a better clue would be better after all we are not all wizz cachers like the finders before me. The present clue means nothing as I can see that ( the clue thing) when I arrived at GZ. Marianne perhaps its not at all clever to make things to hard for us learners ( in my opinion anyway).........Oh and next cachers to go here should take your boots.
The find of the cache is as a normal traditional cache. Yes it is a difficulty 2.5 We do think it reflects the difficulty of the cache pretty well.
The twist comes after the first find. Good luck for next time [:]

Saw the notification for this one earlier today, and decided to stop by this evening on our way to the Waikato. Got very wet feet walking to GZ after the downpour this afternoon. Took way longer than it should have to spot the hide for this one. Then no time at all to discover the log . Nicely done. Thanks for this one.

Grabbed this one on my way to work this afternoon. Was absolutely pouring down at GZ, and the ground from the carpark to GZ was soaked and had lots of surface water in places. Got totally soaked as I searched. Took shelter for a minute to gather my thoughts, and noticed FMZ approaching. A quick chat, and another search and quickly found the cache. Was a bit confused initially then had the "Aha" moment and signed the log. FTF#45
Headed over in the pouring rain and driving past GZ noticed stretch searching for the cache in full flouro gear. It was really persisting down so sat in the car for a bit waiting for it to ease thinking to myself that if stretch finds it in this rain before I get there, he's totally welcome to the FTF . Eventually decided to suck it up and get out there into the weather, and headed across the field that had turned into a swamp and joined stretch in the search. Luckily we then found it within minutes. Didn't seem like much at first, but yeah, nicely done with the container. In my opinion though, such a cache should be a ? instead of a trad, as there will be people that don't read the cache page so will think that having found the cache with stashnote, but no log, that they need to add one themselves. If it was a ? cache then they'd definitely have read the description first and they'd know. Like I said though, nicely done, but it didn't fool us! Joint FTF with stretch. FTF #1027 TFTC!!!
Found a TB in the cache, not logged in yet (just noticed in the cache description, TB's aren't supposed to be left in it?) [:o)]
