Oh well, that will have to be that. A few DNFs and that means it must certainly be gone. I have no idea how some caches can go missingbut so be it.Thanks to all who found it. Archiving this does not have any impact on the associated puzzle cache
I joined DARKSIDEDAN and Cappel for a Friday night out on the town. OK, so we actually went geocaching We walked for just over three hours and got about a dozen caches. It was loads of fun and we had some good talks along the way. I grabbed a KFC burger on the way home, and now I need to log these quickly so that I can get plenty of sleep before tomorrow's Gibraltar Rock adventure! This cache was missing; we dug into the rotted wood inside the stump and still couldn't find anything. Thanks anyway, Sol de lune
Cache has been in place since November 2011, so hopefully it is still there. It is still the original container, a 200ml sistema, bright blue in colour, so should stand out. Hopefully the next finder will have better luck...
Hmm, think I need a refund on that laser eye surgery. Had a fair crack at this and couldnt turn up a cache. Thanks anyway!
I’ve driven by this one many times but this evening I took the opportunity to find it. TFTH
One last find on the way back to the car. Boyo is getting thirsty. So am I actually...good hide in what I thought would be an obvious location. View from GZ attached TFTC!
Found on the way home from the Mystery at the Museum event. Collected this cache in order to get my Detective clue. As for this cache, it took a little bit of time to find it at night. I now have 5 out of the 7 caches in this series. One day I'll find them all. TFTC
Found this one when I was searching for caches with “gold” in the name to take a leprechaun trackable to visit.
Nice place for a hide, and I now plan to complete this series. If I wasn’t hunting for “gold” caches right now I would have made sure I did this series in order (to satisfy my OCD nature!). But what would be the correct order 1 to 12, or 12 to 1?
Think I will try to do the rest of them 12 to 1...

Just visiting again with Dino finding it on the way back to the car. All in good order, found my own entry from 2014.
Thank you Sol de lune for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Now at Queanbeyan for the Clear Waters Mega we headed out today with Tassie Trekkersto find a few caches. It is hard to know where to start, there are som many to choose from. As we were heading to another area we scollected a few along the way to somewhere else. TFTC

We have arrived at Queanbeyan for the Clear Waters Mega event and targeted some caches with Whitewebbs and this was one of them.
An easy find at GZ, cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Out with GreyHams this morning for a bit of caching before the event later in the day, so some close by caching was the plan. Mysteries, multies and hills seemed to be the theme with what we have to chose from, so the mornings suggestion of heading up and around Mt Mugga wasn't unreasonable!
I can not confirm or deny that there may have been a 'little' whinging when climbing upwards, it would seem that the hill is a little taller and the morning a bit warmer than expected... Although hills were always to be expected for the day, so this little buttercup may have just had to toughen up and get on up! But that can not be confirmed...
Lesson learned so the multis were on the agenda from the start, luck panned out and while having a search for a mystery a little wander further afield had a cache unexpectedly located, excited at having found 'it' a bit of a look had it soon discovered it was in fact the multi.. Oh well, that cut out a few WPs, so we meandered on our way towards a few more caches around and up to the top of the hill!
The loop completed and back to the car, it was off to Maccas for a drink... Well, I was really thirsty so I had two... they sure hit the spot! Thirst taken care off it was off to the event, a good turn out and a tasty sausage as well.
Thanks for the cache Sol de lune, I have been wanting to get these two for a while now, perhaps coming in from the other side and over the top might may not have been the best approach but with this last cache, pleased to have this series now complete!

Out on a lazy sunday morning cache run with Aquilus1... well, it was supposed to be lazy! But I, for some reason, proposed we grab a bunch on Mt Mugga Mugga as we are both missing all of them.
Yeah... it wasnt such an easy walk, the mountain is bigger than you think. The good news is that we found all the caches we knew were there.... we tried to dodgy a puzzle based on 'good parking offset'... guessing where the parking was and just rummaging around at the coords. Well, we got a huge surprise when we found it... but that turned to disappointment and then laughter that it was actually the multi we had started 30 minutes before....lol. I guess no need to go to the last waypoint as we already found GZ.
Anyway, we found some cool caches, with a mixture of some old ones and a large even... not many of them around
Finished the loop, stopped at Macca's to order 3 drinks for the 2 of us before heading down to the event at Tuggers. We even did a cache during the event and a quickie after.... and another cache
I think this one was lucky last for the 12 days series.... fave point for placing the series!

That stump is a maze. First of. Few along might lane after a Sunday lunch with my family and mum. Tftc.
Parked near the recommended spot, and realised I was only 25 metres away from the cache! Nice, thought it was a bit further into the bush than that! So jumped the fence, checked a few likely spots out and found the cache very well hidden in the third spot I checked!
Thanks Sol de lune, have been slowly ticking off this cache series, it is very spread out! I still have 2 more to find though even after today's efforts! Will get around to that soon!

I ignored the track closed sign and jumped the fence to follow the "old" centenary track. This cache was a quick find and is in good condition. TFTC
PS I parked at the dog pound. Recent roadworks make parking closer not viable or safe.

Poked around at GZ for way too long and spooked myself a couple of times but eventually located it. TFTC.
Surprisingly nice views. And a new road. I wonder were it goes. Thanks for the find.
Found on a sunny Queens Birthday public holiday with the geo-Lagotto and two muggle friends. Thanks
Lucky to have a couple of days in Canberra, so why not make the most of the amazing geocaches on offer! TFTC.
I was staying in Canberra overnight for a memorial service early this morning. The noisy neighbour at the accommodation woke me early so I headed out for some caching, in the freezing cold. Much colder here than at home, about 10 degrees colder do I was freezing.
Not sure if I parked in a really great spot but the geomobile was off the road and there wasn't much traffic this early.
I was pleased that this cache was in the sun and had a bit of a walk to thaw me out. I walked up to the gate of Mugga Quarry. The GPS pointed me over the fence. Is this private property? Others have been here and I could see a way over the fence so I headed in and was soon at GZ.
Its a great spot with plenty of possible places to hide a cache. A circumnavigation of the item and I spied the cache. Why is it I always go the long way round these things?
Log signed and TBs visited. Cache replaced. Its in good dry condition.

As the afternoon progressed and the likeliness of rain reduced, I headed out for a second time in the day to have a look at the other side of the reserve area that I had been exploring days earlier. A quick find and an exciting start of the mugga quarry climb. Cheers

Today was the day to explore My Mugga Mugga. I parked where suggested, and spent 4 hours wandering up and around finding 11 caches all up, with 1 DNF. It was raining to start with, but cleared up as the morning progressed. Cache quickly found. TFTC.

A nice quick find with geokid. Everything is looking very dry out here. Been meaning to grab this one for a while but not been able to with all the road works recently in the area. Nice new parking right next to gz tftc
2769 9 of 12 today.
I've been geo-slack of late. Just a few events and the odd find here and there. The prevailing hot conditions make caching a sweaty & unpleasant task at times. But today I got out for a few hours and headed to Mt Mugga Mugga. Conditions weren't too bad, hitting about 30C, but it was still sweaty out there. I didn't see any snakes today and I had plenty of opportunity.
Down from "The Mugga" upt the top to this one down on the road. Good to be heading downhill for a change. A quick find in the end.

Headed back into Canberra today and stopped for my daily. My geokids all headed out first with b0tmun making the find in the end.
I found this cache while heading to the Callum Brae Nature Reserve this afternoon. While this cache was pretty much spot on the coordinates (notwithstanding that the GPS was jumping all over the place today) it took a while to find the cache as there were numerous hidie-holes in the log. what caught my eye was a travel bug (Y40Q2W) wedged in the log, glinting in the sun. A problem was prickles - it will take me ages to de-burr my shoes, socks and sock protectors!
Thank you Sol de lune for this cache!

Parking was difficult due to changes in road construction but was thankful for streamers indicating an entrance through the fence
Found this after work. Parked on the new roadworks - no tradies around. Soon located the container in its hide. TFTC SDL
We headed out with The Woofer this morning with the intention of finding all the caches on and around Mount Mugga Mugga Reserve. Sadly, due to an incident with the crew of a construction company building a new road to the quarry, we had to cut our adventure short. We still found 8 caches, and got a workout climbing the hill!
A nice quick find on the way back to the car. Left some goodies, took nothing. TFTC Sol!

Surprised this one hasn't been found in so long, the roadworks are not an issue if you're happy to walk a couple of hundred metres. A quick find and our second cache this weekend with a "ring" in the title

This cache was very easily spotted as it had become dislodged from its hiding place and was exposed to the elements. After log signing duties were completed, we relocated the cache back in what we presumed to be the hiding spot.
A slightly out of season find, but a find nevertheless! Managed to refrain from singing Christmas carols whilst signing the log. Thanks, Sol de lune
A quick stop along the side of the road, before heading for Hume. Intersting feature at gz, and the cache was certainly not hidden were I expected it.

Another one done. Yay! I found this as part of a daily streak I am working on - over 2 months now. The first month wasn't so bad, the 2nd month got harder, and now it's getting more challenging to make sure I don't miss a day. I love the challenge of the geocache cache hunt - read the notes, decipher the cache requirements, and go searching for the hide. My new GPS is working great and it has made my geocaching experience so much simplier and more fun.
Thanks go to Sol de lune for placing this cache and maintaining it. It's a great contribution to the Geocaching community and much appreciated. I enjoyed finding this one after work. This cache was another "Found it" for me. TFTC! Cheers. [Blue]Jump Pilot [/Blue]

A lovely morning for caching. I picked this up with two others on Mt Mugga Mugga and one on Narrabundah Lane.
A really nice spot for a cache. Mt Mugga Mugga is a very cool but under visited mountain. Nice to have caches to encourage people to get up there.

I'm on my way to complete my 1000th cache today - just need a few more. This is one, thanks Sol de Lune. FYI there is a very heavy cylinder about a metre away from your cache - looked like an old ammunition shell.?/?
After collecting multi clues on the journey from Quiet Quarry, this cache was next. I was not looking forward particularly to getting back uphill later. Made my way in to GZ from the road and soon spotted the container. Thanks Sol de lune
This one did have me stumped as I interpreted the hint too literally. On my last look around before moving on I had it. Thanks for this series Sol. I'll have to go back and check how many I have left!

Found 3-5-2015 AFTER event cache. Getting closer to completing this great series.
Sol - My apologies for the late log. I found a list that I had neglected to enter.
Thanks for the hunt and the cache.

On my fifth day of caching, my Garmin led me to:
Five red herrings,
Four piles of rocks,
Three quick finds,
Two DNFs,
And a Sistema in a gum tree.

Decided that since Xmas was around the corner, I should make an effort and finish off the 12 days of Xmas series. Upon checking I was surprised to see I had already done 6 of them in the normal course of my caching, so figured getting these two would make a fine contribution this morning, along with picking up a couple of the NT series I missed a few weeks ago. Parked at the indicated coords (thanks CO) and made a quick walk to the GZ - found in the obvious place! Many thanks SDL for this series!
We had a nice liesurely look around Canberra and this was one of the caches we were able to find while we were out exploring. [^][^] Thanks to Sol de lune
Out for some early morning caching before the family pulls themselves out of bed. A quick and easy find. TFTC
Very appropriate to pick this up in December, unfortunately we won't be able to continue with this sieries today, we're on a mission, so a quick pick up. TFTC
My last cache of the morning. A very pleasant one to finish the morning with as zt07 and I have walked up, over and all around Mt Mugga Mugga in a very successful attempt to pick up most of the cachees on the hill.
Thanks for putting out the 12 Days series, I have really enjoyed it.

Had an Indiana Jones moment running through my head when reaching in to grab the cache. Luckily my hand came through unscathed. TFTC.
I dodged around the blackberries and the other spikey plants for a simple easy find.
Found Saturday morning at 8.45 am in glorious sunshine.
Nice location not been too before and there was plenty if bird life around.
Many thanks to Sol de lune .
