With a heavy heart, I've decided to discontinue these caches. While meeting fellow cachers has been delightful, the online experience, particularly with moderators, has fallen short. The lack of understanding and appreciation for the time, effort, and cost poured into creating these caches, coupled with declining activity, has unfortunately made it unsustainably challenging. It's been a joy sharing these hides with the community, and I hope you've enjoyed the adventures. Farewell, and happy caching!

One of the two Lizard Rock Trail caches logged today. I arrived fairly late in the afternoon, and despite it being a fantastic day for winter, I was the only one about. I should visit Para Wirra more often.

Both caches are in good condition, and easily found, thanks for placing them Pirate Rock.

On a forecasted hot 38°C day, jesswrigley and I tried to escape to Para Wirra Conservation Park as early as a Sunday sleep-in would allow, and target a cluster of traditional caches in the middle of the park. It was a combination of some drives and hikes around the area, with many lizards scamping around the place, but thankfully no long and slender animals about. An interesting park, but think this is more akin to the colder months than the hotter months, as it was looking fairly dry today. After a few hours and a loop, we escaped back to the car, and headed to the Christmas event that was taking place.

Once we had found the secret Japanese air base, we proceeded along the lizard rock trail to this cache, where we didn't need to venture off the main path to find this one. It was a nice sized container. The cache and logbook were all good today, thanks Pirate Rock for the cache placement and maintenance.

Cache #2156. Last find today.

This Sunday, we went to Para Wirra Recreational Park for hiking. Free vehicle entry during May as National Parks SA celebrate Para Wirra Conservation Park as the Park of the Month.

After 2 DNF on the walking trail, I found this cache nice and easy. Good size container. Took nothing, left nothing. Signed the log, and put it back. Covered it well.

After finding this cache, my phone ran out of battery.

Thanks for the cache, Pirate Rock.

We went cross country for this one and then had a little boy muggle walk right up and ask what we were doing. Tempted to tell him but as there were others coming along the path, we didn't. Just in case you ever get into caching and read this: hi Jack.

What a great Autumn day for a walk around the Para Wirra Recreation Park. Cool I was joined by Anymules, Mrs. SA Sewer Rat and Doctor Owl. Many, many kilometers covered in the pursuit of the smilie and not much of it was on a level track. In fact most where just very steep indeed. Only two of the holy trinity today, blood, a fall, more blood, even more blood and did I mention the blood. Razz Pretty much a standard day's caching. [:o)]
This was a very quick find in a spot where the GPS wanted us. Smile If the first one we couldn't find was anything like this then there is no way that it is still there. Dropped off a geocoin.

**Thanks Pirate Rock for this cache. ** Big Grin

Owl was persuaded to come on an adventure with 3 other disreputable cachers (which should have been her first clue that her legs would hurt by the end of the day!) Not from this cache though, it was an easy find and an indication that the other one is definitely missing.

Fourth cache for the day. Drove in ($10 or $8 concession) & glad I did. I walked 12km by the days end. The distance wasn't an issue, it was the terrain at the latter geocaches. Another good cache, all is good within. A great walk with perfect weather.

Headed out to check out these caches that have been on my radar for some time.
Tchingal will also like that he can visit a few parks across the state.

These caches have been on our map for a very long time and since we were in the area today and the weather was fining up, decided to grab them Razz.
After checking out the boulders further north Big Grin, followed the track down to the cache.
TNLNSL.
Thanks again Pirate Rock.
