Drove from Whangrei to Paihia today and picked up a small number of caches along the way. This was the first of them. Took a brief moment to spot! #8058. TFTC.
Our third cache we have found since holidaying in NZ from Australia.Thank-you.
An afternoon at leisure before I check in to our Airbnb for the night and so Ive chosen a tiki tour to Hikurangi to pass the time.Traffic was no barrier to another quick find. Thanks Riser5Find #5433Found using Cachlymsc_20, formerly caching as msebn
Heading back to Auckland after a road trip from Hawkes bay to Cape reinga.Hitting a few caches on the drive down.Thank you Riser5 + MiniMaxy for placing this cache.Log signed as B&PFind number 4989

Thank you for the little find

#11,518. I am heading to Kaitaia now but noticed there were a few caches placed along the highway. Now on the approved side of the road to stop. Parking was good on the side road. Nice quick find. Signed the logsheet and replaced the cache as found. Thanks Riser5 + MiniMaxy for hiding it here. I guess all these 2022 finders must have decided the other one south of here was too dodgy to stop at.
There was a friendly little skink hiding in this cache and when i retrieved it he popped his head out and gave me a fright. Relocated him into some nearby grass. Easy find TFTC
1169. 8:21 am. Our first cache of the day. I think that I'm getting close to completing the series. It was difficult not to look suspicious out in the open. TFT(barrier)C.
North Island Campervan trip Day 9
After the fantastic holiday I had a few months ago traveling around the South Island, making the most of one of those incredibly cheap campervan deals available at the time, I figured it was worth taking a week off work before the stresses of the usual holiday period to enjoy some of the delights to be found around the top of the North Island.
This would be a great chance for me to seek out some targeted caches such as the TMGT ones as well as some that would help me with my Jasmer grid, missing minutes (for a couple of challenge caches I'm working on) and any other caches that caught my eye.
Last night I was able to spend the night in a small DOC campsite right on the beach in Woolleys Bay. My main intention for today was to get up to Russell in the Bay of Islands. I haven't been there in over 30 years, and was really looking forward to being there again. After that I was simply going to start heading back south again.
The sun was shining today, making the driving all the more pleasurable.
This series of caches have mostly been straightforward park 'n' grabs, and so it was with this particular one. Once located, the log was quickly signed before the whole thing was replaced exactly as found and I was on my way again.
Thanks for setting up this cache.

I am on my way north to Bay of Islands, and stopped to get this cache. This cache is so popular that the log is now full. TFTC.
Heading North this morning from Tauranga to Paihia while on a TMGT road trip. No worries here, A quick pull over and find. TFTC
On our way north for a couple of days and took the opportunity to do some rare caching along the way. Had a few caches specifically planned, so we could complete a 36 degree challenge, but also enjoyed a few extra caches around the region as well. Beautiful day for a drive and we ended in Opua at a lovely B&B. Thanks to all the cache owners for their caches.
MrNZT was driving and I was jumping out to grab, had a good system going. TFTC!

22469 Traveling through New Zealand to see nice people and places. Also to find some geocaches.
Today we were went from Auckland to Paihia. On several spots we stopped to find some caches and to enjoy the lookout views. All day was sunny,so we also made a walk in Puhoi to get the caches along the path to the mountain view. Also the GB1 caches were very popular because you can park safely for them. At some Parkings there were many muggles, but they had no interest in us. they took many pictures.
Most caches were found quite quickly. A few took more time. Several were with waterproof paper, but our stamp and pen do not work that good on such paper, where when it was wet paper it logs fantastic.
Riser5 TFTC and the fun it brought us. Theo

TFTC... A super quick, easy park and grab a couple of metres off the main road.
Was with my geodad a.k.a Matini264 travelling home from Whangarei this afternoon.
Loved these barrier GCs as we were on limited time today

Find number 3930. I was travelling to Paihia for the Country Music Festival and caching along the way. A total of 20 before I got to my accommodation. To avoid the Auckland traffic I left home at 3.30 am so didn't start caching until a torch was not required. This series fitted perfectly with my route. I was able to park n grab my way to Paihia. Thank you for the placement.
#9560. Heading north through Whakapara and stopped for a quick break. Apart from passing traffic, GZ was all quiet when we visited. Quick find. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Don't know if it's just we couldn't find it... but this was our second one today where we were standing on the exact coordinates but couldn't find anything. Hopefully it wasn't taken
I was heading north to the Bay of Islands and thus cached on the north caches in this series pulling over whenever I could for consistent and reliable caches.
Thanks for putting these out Riser5

A quick find here while heading back into the city from walking the Coastal walkway at Whananaki south. TFTC!

A great variety of locations & hides were found.

Took my best friend for a drive out to Helena Bay as she's been in the UK for the last 3 years and is now moving to Wellington next weekend- did some quick park and grabs on the way as we didn't have a lot of extra time on our hands. TFTC
Taking the opportunity to grab some caches during my week long visit up to gather some caches. Quick stop here and cache in the likely spot. TFTC
After spending the weekend in Paihia we had to drive back to Auckland. Decided to stop at a few "roadside" caches on the way home to break up the trip. Cache was well hidden and quickly spotted. Signed the log book and continued on our way home. TFTC.
The Squirrel and my plans for the weekend was to log as many old caches as possible to go towards completing another challenge. This meant a lot of kilometres driving and a bit of forward planning and plus collect as many other caches as we could. The plan was to travel to KawaKawa Bay and stay at Hemi's uncles home.
Early start Saturday morning with our goal to get to KawaKawa. Google tells me its 266 Kilometres one way, but with caching who knows how many km's it will be.
Left Rotorua after work on Friday with a stop for dinner (Cambridge Roast House). Next stop Huntly for a coffee and a chat with fellow cachers, then on to KawaKawa Bay. No caches done on this leg.
Early start Saturday morning to achieve our goal.
10.20am - What do you know on back of mint tins. No problems to locate. SLTFTC

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... Day 2 of our flying visit to Northland. Today, we are hunting for two old caches; one each in Russell and Whangarei. We are also looking at anything else between these points, within short walking distance of the vehicle. it seems a lot brighter today, but rain is on the forecast, and the ground is waterlogged...
With so much rain and flooding, the fences around here need checking... That's what we were pretending to do as we were retrieving and signing off logs. TFTC.

We are up this way this weekend to visit the Ruapekapeka Pa and it was a great visit (even if I couldn't figure out the maths to get the Multi [?] Very cool little hide, nabbed it on the way back to stay the night in Whangarei . . . . TFTC
Heading up to Whananaki for Easter, and this is our turn off. Parked off the road and walked back down for a quick find. TFTC
Todays plan was for a further attempt to increase my unique Minutes for the 400 Minute Challenge in Manawatu. I only needed an extra dozen or so to tip me o=ver the magic mark and, with a plan to head further North than before (whilst a cacher), there was a good chance of success. Built the plan aroubnd the barrier caches spread evenly along the upper S H 1 and also another couple of Letterbox hybrids and an Earth cache at Hikurangi. The hope to also fit in Waipu Cove and Mangawhai Head was a step to far. Settled for 53 caches all up, 23 new minutes so mission accomplished and I can now claim another D/T for my grid. Many thanks to all the C Os whose caches I found today. Got to see some cool sights of lower Northland and help my little missions along. Got all the North ones on the way up and the South ones on the way back down. Yay

The end of my journey for today. Time to turn around and grab those Southerly placed ones

Almost the last of this series for me. Now to turn around and head back to Whangarei for others.
thanks to all the owners of the geocaches that we found today between Hikurangi and Kawakawa ... we enjoyed the Old Russell Road and the Bay of Islands with magnificent views! TFTC and greetings from Belgium.
Always a bit harder on a new road, so I am relying on m4yb's navigation, an easy pull over off the road here and she made the find while I was minding the car.
Thanks Riser5, still following you!

Heading North, but it is not always good to pullover with the heavy holiday traffic. This however was a good opportunity to add to the tally, a quick find, and back to the road. TFTC Riser5!
Had a lovely day today visiting my old church and family along the way home. Quick park'n'grab at the end of the day. TFTC
Up in Paihia for a long weekend celebrating my lovely wife, Stella's, birthday. Grabbing a few caches along the way...
