I have been flying over the area of this cache for the past few days working on the fires. Unfortunately the entire area around this cache has been burnt out and it is possible this cache became a casualty. I have not found this cache so I don't know it's exact location but I have attached a photo (sorry for the bad quality) for the CO to review. Road closures are currently in place as fire crews continue to battle the blaze and it could be a few weeks before access is available again. I hope the cache has survived and I can find it in the near future to be able to log my story of these fires.

We were heading on over to Moscow Villa for the night with DazzPete, and after a nice bang up lunch in the shade at Buchan, this was our first stop in the forest.
As it was quite warm today, we pulled up and sat in the air conditioning for a while speculating over the UHF (whilst parked right next to each other) as to where the cache might be, with the Queen calling her guess first.....
So finally we all piled out of the cars and went in slightly different directions as one group had a phone and dad had his stoopid GPS that is about as handy as back pockets in a singlet......and after dad got stabbed by a stick, he gave up on that spot and went over to where the cache actually was....in GeoDs hands.
We all then emptied out all the water from the cache and signed the still dry logbook (thanks to a well sealed ziplock bag) and then took off in a cloud of dust to the next one.

Thanks Fred&Mandy for the cache in a nice spot.

Found this after camping across the river. Had a drive up to the end of the road the previous day, highly recommended! But don't go through the gat up the end, the cheeky horses wouldn't let me back through! Thnkfully some people came from the other side of the gate and helped me get back through. Had a great swim before getting going in the morning. TFTC!!!!

After spending the weekend in Lakes helping out with a car rally, I had time to go caching today so I decided to head bush and hunt some very unloved caches with great success. It was an easy drive to get here, parked in the camping area just off the road and started the hunt. Followed the GPSr to a likely spot and found the cache in short order - still in very good condition, only a very small amount of dampness. I than spent half an hour wandering around taking photos at this lovely place. Thanks to Fred&Mandy for bringing me here.

Two of the dragons and bears were Guiding today (Thinking Day), so this one decided it was time to rescue a TB from this little visited cache. Was a pleasant drive to the bridge, then a quick find of the GZ, but where was the cache? Fourteen months of leaf litter and mud had completely buried the cache. A small tool soon struck plastic, and the cache was in hand.
The cache was full of water, but the log book was dry in its zip lock bag. Dried all cache contents and set out in the sun for some time. SL and replaced zip lock with new one. Took TB and Left skeleton.
Replaced cache and tried to provide a little shelter from the water, but probably a lost cause.
Hopefully someone else will come to seek out this cache in a beautiful location. The Timbarra is a very pretty little river, with good fish!

We had nothing better to do on this non-descript Sunday than chase up this first to find. Our town was inundated with tourists so we headed for the High Country.
Such a beautiful area and lovely spot.

We had just found, signed and replaced the cache and were stepping into our cachemobile, when the first of several muggles arrived. Seems it's a favourite picnic area.
Took the TB and dropped off a Canada TB

TFTC Fred and Mandy. Just love this area
