No chance to look for this cache as the track is closed. The notice is right up by the road, and I have to much respect for Kauri trees to ignore it.
First find of the day and already plenty of people on the track so this could be a mission of evading the muggles. TFTC
Thought this start was going to be all over before it started as the app wouldn’t load and then as I walked back to the car up it came This was the turn around I needed whoo hoo The log was full so squeezed it in a gap TFTC
Yay! we made it! time for an ice cream! oh wait - my car is parked waaaay down the road, cause there were so many cars here when we drove up. In fact there is another cache between here an my car, so not finished afterall!
At last I am at the Okura River walk
I have wanted to do this for years! decided today was that day. Was a little worried about the weather, as when I drove thru Albany it was heavy rain. Luckily it seems to have stayed away. Fingers crossed will not have any problems today.
With the help of the hint I soon spotted the cache, and the log was signed. A busy little track this, with muggles in all directions!

Quick find thanks to the hint! Busy trail walk with a nice bridge 100m further

The Sunday family excursion was, after a fast scan of the geocaching
map, laid to the Okura walk. Funny how our outings tend to be destined
to these stretches of green boxes on the map
The children took the lunch break already at the 'lagoon', the wife went
a bit longer before she found a peaceful spot, and I continued to the
east-facing beach.
A great trip before eating greek in Takapuna on our way home. Vic07
got lost for us (again) there...
12 finds and 2 dnfs, it also seems we must have passed 2 without
searching... Strange.
Anyway; Thanks for the caches, choice of area and the walk.

Easy find here and replaced as found
So many cars around show just how popular it is around here and the track did not disappoint. I only walked in for the first 8 caches and that was enough of a taster to enthuse me for another visit next time in the area with time to spare. Great series of caches, thanks for all your placements today in and around here today G--2.
After nearly meeting Tufty yesterday where I found signs of his caravan but not him, I later encountered him at the Okura walkway and he filled me in the Piggy in the middle story, ahh that makes sense now.
Another weekend day in Auckland and still have the car my friend lent me to get round and see the sights (Geocaching). Todays plan was a many splendored thing; start off with a Wherigo and an Earthcache, clear the new caches off the 101 Dalmation road(s), do few at each end of the Stillwater/Millwater walkway at Okura Bush, dinner with my Aunt in Kumeu before returning car to Greenhithe around 7pm. A few targets and a wonderful days weather for my efforts too, nice one Auckland cachers! Managed to grab quality caches for the most part and a nice round number of 33 for the day was just the ticket.

It was a stunning Waitangi Day so I decided to take the kids for a lovely walk on the Okura Bush Walkway... trouble is, so did hundreds of other Aucklanders!!! So our stealth skills while picking up the caches would have to be extra stealthy today!
This was the first find of the day and a nice quick one thanks to the hint... just had to wait for a lull in foo traffic before replacing TFTC!

My wife was walking the trail to the cottage with her boot camp friends so I trailed behind picking up a few caches....starting here. Nice quick find and good start.
I've always wanted to do this trail but like Bertie Blowfish, never often have a day that didn't require walking dogs. We didn't feel we needed to take geohounds today because we had already worn them out geocaching the day before. The plan seemed a good idea minus one factor.... we'd worn ourselves out in the process [)] But the trail was shady and a beautiful spot to be in. thanks for getting us started G2.
Set forth with Pazzabella & Geocchi to tackle a few of the caches along this beautiful bush walk.
This was our first for the day ...and we almost gave up and left it till last, after being inundated by a seemingly never ending trail of muggles. Luckily, Pazza managed a quick find during a short lull, and we were on our way. tftc

Quick and easy find - due to eagle-eyed husband once more .
Gosh the landscape looks so different with the forestry block to the northwest all cut back.

Found this on the 8/11/16 but forgot to log. Was a nice easy one. Enjoyed the walk along the water, been down this road a few times but never walked down this path. TFTC
Out and about today for some cache detection. Great weather for it; cool breeze and plenty of sun. I planned to walk this trail, but it looks like some sections are closed for the time being. Oh well, let's see how far I can get before I have to turn back. I was able to find a few before I decided it was best not to push my luck any further. The GPSr was a little slow here, ad I ended up walking past GZ. After a quick backtrack I was able to come up with a smiley. I will have to come back once the track upgrade is complete. Cheers for the cache placement!
I had to stop twice as muggles were either coming or going, but it finally quieted down long enough for me to find, sign and replace. TFTC.
This afternoon I tried to hike a Little bit on this very nice trail, but I was stopped soon by heavy rain. That was really a pity because this was the one and only try for me. But even with bad weather conditons I enjoyed the walk very much and also found some nice Caches, too.
Thanks a lot for all the Caches.

I live fairly close by and this is the first time I have done this track.
We only made it to the second beach.
What a great walk.

Out in the afternoon sun for a short walk & look around an area we have never visited before. Cache quickly found with the use of the hint. We will be back at some stage to complete the trail. TFTC
We did this one as the last cache of the day. Gorgeous walk, nice quick find, nice weather. What more can one want in life?!
Number five on today's walk. End of trail for us as we got this one on the way out having not fired up the app before we passed this on the way in.
Today we did the first part of the Okura River Walkway.
This was a quick find.

As silly as I am, I decided for a bush walk rather than some simpler drive by's in spite of definitely not being dressed for the occasion. There was at least one advantage though - the shoes i was wearing have not been to the bush before, so they had no chance of bringing contaminants in [^] I felt a bit silly (and too hot) walking around like I this was my first time out in nature... Never mind, I was glad I had the time for a few caches and a nice walk! Well timed find also, as a muggle walked past just as I replaced the cache! TFTC!!
Found this one quite easily as it appeared that it had fallen away from where it was meant to be so we placed it back more securely and snugly than it was found
Third find on this trail, attempting to complete another GIO challenge and this trail will certainly help. Nice quick find. TFTC
All suited and booted; the eldest youngest set out on the trail. Let's see how far we get
Must come back to do more of this walk. The few caches we did were good, and another place that we have not been to before.
Having a wee break in the North Island, heading north from the Airport toward Whangarei.
Thanks for effort put your hides.

Managed to grab one last cache before the wife went on strike making eleven for the day. Each one was found within a minute. The number of walkers on the track was a surprise but with the clear hints(even pictures) we managed between muggles. Thanks for the geotrail G-2.
Ellex2 and I decided to do the Okura walk on a drizzly day. This was a nice easy one as we entered the bush. TFTC
Nice to come back here to walk the trail again, with merlot58 this time and first time geocaching a long the way. Quickly found. TFTC.
This one was another quick and easy grab at the start of the trail. Plenty of muggles out enjoying the sun, so we hung back a moment letting them pass before the retrieve. TFTC #347
"the start of the trail" that we found at the end of the trail...
Out on nice walk with friendly muggles, Natoratia and Alligatorsnz. Once we reached the cottage we did a caching expedition for those interested..assisted by almost converted friendly muggle. A few showers and a nice lick of mud to help us along the way (need more mud though!)
Thanks..a surprisingly nice place to come to

A re visit to this cache for us, all in order:-)
Out taking a bunch of muggles for a stroll along this track, carefully disgused in the group was Lochnessmonsta, Natoritia and our friendly muggle who has not yet convinced her self she is a cacher all waiting for the chance to start picking up caches... once lunch was done and the muggles turned for home, the caches went to work on return. Having done all the caches my self, i took on the job of interested by stander with GPS in hand( for when the phones just had no idea..) and off we went for home in a much more interesting fashion;-) (apologies in advance for generic notes to come..)

We went on a mission today with Alligatornz, Lochnessmonster and a hard to convert but good at finding cache muggle. the rest of our group (6 muggles) went to Dacre cottage and waited for us to have lunch then they left us as we would have been too "slow" for them going back to Haigh road. thanks for all the cache which gave us a great afternoon (and we dodged the rain)
Quick find with tillygeorge13 after running the trail. TFTC.

A quick find just before the old ladies caught up and waltzed past me, several seniors were 'power walking' on this power trail. Because I was stopping to get the caches, they must have thought the young buck couldn't keep up just behind them! Hah, hah, hah, little do they know!
Found it on second try the same day but coming from other direction. Thanks. Lovely day.
Out doing the power trail, CITO and a maintenance run for Glyn.
Log replaced.
Find #379. Thanks for the cache. 19/04/2014 10:58
