This puzzle has been sitting on my solved pile for almost 4 years! High time I came and looked for the cache. I do remember it was a fun solve. The final location is quite close to my Aunty's house but I haven't been to visit for a while! Lots of potential hiding spots but happily it was a pretty quick find. Thanks for the puzzle and TFTC
I am out and about collecting a couple of caches in Tawa today and this was on the list. Its a dot day and I have decided this is the year I will fill all my gaps and finish the grid. A fun puzzle thank you. I parked up and walked around the suburbs for a few caches within walking distance of each other. I haven't been here very much so enjoyed a morning stroll to get the vibe and your cache. I waited for a courier van to finish its delivery before popping in for the find. TFTC redants.
Had this fun puzzle on the solved list for almost 2 years now, probably time to go get it! Made the find before most peoples had risen. Thanks Redants
What a great puzzle! Really enjoyed this one and especially enjoyed getting to a bit of this suburb Ive not been to before. Tftc!
I solved this puzzle such a long time ago that I cannot remember if it caused me any grief or not. I did search for it years ago but had some muggle trouble - I think we both scared each other. Getting short of low terrain Wellington caches to find, I returned for an after work visit and made an instant find.
**19,862**Solved this one sometime back but managed to enter one of the digits incorrectly which threw us out. Fortunately, with the help of a friend, we sorted the issue and then, what do you know, the cache was at the co ords! TFTPC
Since I was passing by, I gave this another go and was surprised how easy this was to find today.I have no idea why I did not find it last time. In fact, I don't think there is an excuse. Shame on me Cheers.Sleepy was here!
Had a couple of attempts at grabbing a mystery today up north, but with no luck I drove past this long-solved cache on the way home. It was a quick find, cache im good condition. Tftc!
Our North Island Roadtrip from Whangarei to complete Tahi & Rua of the NZ Geotour - Day Six.
We have one full day in Wellington for collecting a few puzzles and special caches with Lis's crew. This cache took a couple of minutes to find at GZ. Thanks for the puzzle and TFGC.

With the Geotour coming to and end soon Yvettetb and I decided to go on a road trip to collect Tahi and Rua. Of course I had some puzzles at various places to collect and a few special types were added to the list too.
We stayed with my friend in Wellington last night. Todays plan was to collect puzzles and a few special caches around Wellington. I solved this in May 2016. It took a few minutes to find the cache as I was initially looking for a sistema container. Reading previous logs I started looking for a pill bottle and soon found it. Thanks for this fun puzzle

Solved the location puzzle, went to the location but could not find the cache ? Previous people described where it was, but we couldn't find it =(
We are spending the day caching from Porirua to Johnsonville before catching a very late night / very early morning Bluebridge ferry to the South Island.
Stopped by today for a quick park 'n 'grab. Another nice puzzle that we solved during lockdown last year. Thanks.
Stopped by today for a quick park 'n 'grab. Another nice puzzle that we solved during lockdown last year. Thanks.
Solved the puzzle methodically a while ago and made the trip to GZ today. Cache was a quick find and as a bonus I gathered a bunch of gorgeous smelling freesias which are growing wild on the bank on the other side of the road. TFTC
Took a while to find thanks to the amount of dead leaves, but got there in the end. It was a small pill bottle, not a sandwich size container. Thanks for the cache and interesting puzzle.
Got Mr SeaBreeze to help me work these 2 puzzles out- calling out 1’s and 0’s while I coloured in! I’m sure there’s probably an easier way to do this but I got him involved
Spent a bit of time scratching around here hunting. Hint, as with the other in this series, spot on!
Thanks heaps for creating these 2 puzzles! Great fun!

Solved this a while ago and finally driving past so stopped today. Sent the mister over but he couldnt locate it so sent reinforcements. Within 2 seconds mr 8 pulled up the treasure.
Spent quite a while here as I was looking for a Sistema container as described in the wording though I would have been very surprised for a 500ml one to have survived here. Perhaps the dangerous animals mentioned in the attributes ate it
Finally after rummaging for a while a micro cache emerged. I thought that perhaps it has been a throwdown originating from the same date as the replacement log, but looking back over the history perhaps it is the "temporary replacement" (!) cache from 2013 and it was just the log that was replaced last year.
Unlike the other Pixellating cache there is no issue of online logs not corresponding with the physical log, so this was definitely a lonely cache which is very helpful as I had messed up my calculations and needed one more to definitely qualify to save me going back through 2000 or so logs to find any I had missed. As it turned out my next cache find, not related to these, was a lonely cache too so that makes two maybe three this morning!
TFTC.

This was the closest cache to where we stayed when we came down from Hamilton for the Wellington Mega and as seeing as I went to the effort of solving it I made sure I grabbed it before we started our long drive home. No issues with the hide. Another fun puzzle to solve, thanks for creating it.
Quick find where all good at GZ.
Early morning find on the way to Wellington. Thanks for another smilie.

Some night caching in the area. Loved solving this puzzle, and the final location bought me back to just 'round the corner from where I spent my teenage years. Found the container where expected, and found nothing but mush at the bottom of it. Added a temp piece of paper as a log, inside a plastic bag. Hopefully it helps.TFTC
Sorry to log a DNF on this one we will be back please update page if it a Micro log by gsak
Woohoo, third time lucky! Found quickly this time after reading the hint. I'm wondering now if I ever read it before. The log was damp but at least writable, but strangely the logball mentioned in the previous log wasn't present TFTP
++Date updated as GC decided to report I found this on 1 July!
++Date updated as GC decided to report I found this on 1 July!
I've been meaning to have another go at this at night for a long time and today I finally made the effort. For some reason I looked in the wrong place first even though I'd already read the hint and knew where I should be looking! I rummaged around a bit and the cache was duly revealed in the expected place. But the descrption says I was looking for a small cache and this is a micro. That's why I DNFed it before - I didn't dig deep enough to uncover a micro because I knew a small would be revealed more easily. Then I opened up the cache and; where's the log? There's a scrap of paper left by a recent thoughtful cacher. Then a tiny ball of pulp rolled out, Is that the log? I didn't even tease it apart to find out - I just signed the scap paper. The CO should probably address that they want finders not to be disappointed but I'm not going to raise an NM for it since technically it is servicable. Thanks for the puzzle and cache.
Cache soon found like its partner - DONATED LOG DAMP. Again I feel I could have solved this one, but DD already had! Many thanks
Travelling around the world with Dartmoor Deliverer helping her celebrate having taking early retirement!
NB Dont forget our Devon UK Mega 2017 GC6JZNY this August in the beautiful East Devon area of our county. UK Megas are over one week full of events and geocaching - a wonderful way to enjoy our county!

out with RR on our trip around the world, mostly in New Zealand, after I'd taken early retirement but I will still return to work doing 23 hours per week. What a beautiful sunny hot day again. Logs signed DD & RR. I had fun solving this back in the UK. The new bit of donated log is already damp. Soon found. TFTC
Out and about on a sunny, windless day in Autumn with team geocacher Mr. T seeking a few caches. Had to wait a little while for a muggle to pass. Thanks for the puzzle and for the cache.
Having solved this ages ago and on a previous attempt having a muggle sitting in a car right by game zone (and still there when I returned 1/2 hour later) and abandoned attempt. Today was completely different. Walked straight up , put hand in, pulled cache out. Log soaked and tried to sign . signed as JTS but very faint. Anyway thanks for the puzzle and thanks for the cache.
A nice little puzzle and quickly solved. Moving to the final coordinates was a bit of a worry as I left it too late in the afternoon to collect as I struck the traffic madness when the mum's out there all go to pick up their little darlings from school. Talk about mindless driving.
Anyway, enough of my ranting. Got to GZ and was met with a quick find though the log is a bit on the damp side but still managed to write my particulars.
Thanks for the puzzle. TFTC

Not sure why I had trouble with this (the cache, not the puzzle). Most people are finding it pretty easily. I'll try again one day.
Another fun little puzzle thanks. Cache took short search. Dried container out. Cheers.
No problems with the puzzle having just solved the first of these. No problem with the cache either: coordinates are good and the hint confirms the obvious. TFTC
#2030. The rainy day was not far away. I was busy getting ready for the event on Mana Island tomorrow so needed to pick up a couple of easy caches tonight And the rain had started falling lightly. So this cache seemed very handy. Stopped by for a quick grab and sign. Returned as found. Another enjoyable puzzle. Not too difficult once I had figured out how to do P1 in the series. Thanks for the cache.
Worked out the final the other day so collected today when passing while getting some other in the area. TFTC
The cache is still there. Found it today but decided to leave signing it for a rainy day.
One of the very few puzzles solved for our North Island trip - thanks for making it simple enough for us! and it was only 200 m from the friends' place where we were staying. So, before going out to English Dhaba (our first experience of drinking lassi ) there was time to dash around and attempt to find the final. An explicit clue and pretty likely hiding place there... rummaged... but we couldn't find it. Now see it hasn't been found since 2015 - wonder if there have been any other DNFs not logged online?
Solved this during my lunch break last week... thanks to excel and conditional formatting . Quick find and no muggles at 8am on a Saturday morning TFTC
Solved ages ago. Needed a cache today and remembered this one. Easy find once dog walkers past. Saw a guy getting his remote control helicopter ready to fly at a park near here. TFTC
When I solved Pixellating, I didn't even see this puzzle, its partner. However this also was a nice straight forward puzzle, and a nice straight forward find using the hint. My first find in Tawa; the first of a few on the east side of the motorway on a nice quiet evening.
#1518 After solving Pixellating, I had to solve this one next. Had the coords even quicker than its predecessor and was led straight to a nicely hidden cache. Great puzzles, many thanks!
Good exercise as I walked up and down and around to get this and one other puzzle cache today. Tftc
Not sure why I had never looked at this one before, but managed to work it out on a quiet New Years Eve. Coming back from an assault on Colonial Knob gave me the opportunity to complete the paperwork - TFTC redants, #7396
Had worked this one out a little while ago but saving it for a day like this when we needed a cache for the day but didn't feel like going too away for it. Quick find in the dark with LCBuilder
Great puzzle managed to get the numbers to align and off we went. the hint put us straight onto the cache. TFTP and TFTC
Out and about in the afternoon sunshine with tmann421 collecting a few of the local caches.

Find #2070. Easy solve when you know how and quick find. Another question mark into a smilie. SL TFTC
Solved this one along with the first pixellating cache.
It didn't take long to find, thanks to the hint.
Thanks.

Having picked up Pixellating for my #300, I could not pass up this previously solved cache in the same trip. TFTC
Solved this one ages ago, don't know why it's taken me so long to actually get to it. A nice simple find, thanks
Why is it that when hints suggest an order I always start from the wrong end? Future hunters may wish to know that the cache is much smaller than the original described but its not too hard to find once you get to the right spot. TFTC.
Presented ourselves for the hunt on a beautiful but somewhat cool sunny Saturday afternoon. We were prepared for committing some time to this one, given previous logs and comments therein. So it provided us with great delight to make this a walk-up and find true to co-ords and clue.
Cache in order; log signed, all safely re-hidden, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too

Finally! I was getting desperate enough to take a stab at this for my emergency find for the day after e previous DNF which took up way too much time. Fortunately, this one was a quick find (this time). No 1 option 2 for the DGSC challenge. TFTC
Aha - got you my nemesis cache ! Had solved a long time ago but took the hint too literally and was looking in the wrong direction when the cache was oooooohhh so obvious. Have it now - TFTC !
Cache # 1,477 - third try a charm - and it helps that the cache was actually there to find. Thank you, redants, for replacing it. Took about 5 seconds to locate, the time to get from the car to the GZ, as the cache was sitting completely exposed. I "nestled" it much better, so not likely to either blow away or be accidentally found by a muggle. Nice to have this one off the list. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Finally got the sucker.
Had been a few times without success.
This time I brought Mrs 1Grunta and 1Dog to assist.
We nearly gave up when Mrs 1Grunta looked down and found it on the ground.
Placed back appropriately.

New (Temporary) cache installed, so now you can find it. You might find the original container.
Oooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh dear. The cache is no-where to be seen. There has been quite a lot of growth, but disabling until I replace/find it again.
Hate to log a second DNF. After reading the previous logs more thoroughly, thought I knew where I had gone wrong the first time. No better luck this time, despite much better light, a newly mown area and a lot more time. Got muggled by the guy who lives in the house next door, and decided to go straight for the truth. After a few moments the dawn of understanding showed in his eyes, and he was glad to know all those other people he has seen looking over his fence and crawling through the grass were not casing his house. Will need to PAF before the next attempt.
Watchlist notified me of a travel bug in this cache that is way behind in it's race to Alaska so with Spud & co went to retrieve it and get it back on it's way. TFTC and to Chris for working out the co-ords
Had about 10 minutes to look today, but no joy. Lots of muggles going by, but no one seemed to pay attention. Hint doesn't make much sense, given the vast amount of greenery here. Might have made more sense at beginning of winter, but we are well and truly in spring now.
The first time JardisLikeTardis and I visited GZ, we nearly froze to death. Thankfully, our second stab was on a fine Sunday, though it was still a struggle to locate the well-hidden container.

Another sunny Sunday, another geo-adventure with Kjwx. A much more pleasant experience, the second time around. Thanks for elaborating on the hint! TFTC
After an earlier DNF it was good to find it this afternoon. No problems this time, finding it in the first placed looked. Now why didn't I look there last time [B)]. TFTC
after waiting for half a million muggles to pass found cache quite quickly by mr j. nice spot. TFTC.
The puzzle was easy to sort out, but finding the cache was another story. Spent ages searching, but finally found the right spot.

Thanks to the CO for checking on this cache. I found it in moments today, mostly thanks to the new hint. Still, it amazes me that I didn't find it on two previous visits.
Another terrifying weather weekend...why not go caching with kjwx? After a few minutes field decoding, we had some likely looking coordinates and braced ourselves for the wind chill to search for the cache. Half an hour later, we couldn't feel our fingers, and returned to the car empty handed. I certainly had images of headlines like "Two geocachers missing, presumed dead of hypothermia....". We'll have to return on a sunnier day!
I checked the cache today- all is well, although from now on finders will need to search harder.
Have to agree with the previous logger. Spent quite some time late this morning poking and digging in a number of places without turning up a cache. It would be nice to be able to get a smilie here during the '31 Days of Geocaching' in August. Appreciated if the CO could check if its still there? Cheers
I had a good long search at GZ in the rain today.
Maybe the hide is too clever for me? It did appear though that there had been work done clearing the grass and weeds - more than I would expect from people searching for the cache - so it made me wonder if the cache was missing in action. More likely though is that I didn't look hard enough!

11425... Nice puzzle and a Pixellating find, a surprisingly well hidden cache, had to expand our search zone by a couple of metres, many thanks.
Visited today with Banian, cache has suffered minor cache creep (30cm ish) Cache has more cover and is more securely hidden. Moved 50cm from original location.
About time I went out and found this one. Took a bit of searching, and it looked like others had been searching going by the ground clearance around GZ. Cache was eventually found, signed and returned to the correct place by Redants. TFTC.
3 day weekend? I like the sound of that! What's even better? 3 DAYS OF CACHING!!!
Destination sorted (to Wellington and back again), the bags are packed, the travel bugs are ready to travel and the GPSr is ready to show us the way.
Lucky last for the night, just before the midnight make and some much needed sleep. Took a while to find this one, was pretty sure we'd already looking in the hiding spot a few times already.
#26 for the day, 64 total for the weekend with a total of 1250 kms.

Becsicasa and I decided to do a bit of a caching mission well outside of our area. We left Hamilton early Friday morning and hit the road, Destination: Wellington
This cache took longer to find than it should have, but to be fair, both of us were pretty tired! Glad to have got there in the end after a couple of DNFs

Solved the puzzle quickly after the cache was published and came here aound the middle of the day today. The whole area has definitely had a good going over!! Found the cache after a short time checking likely location - signed log, thanks for the puzzle and the cache!
Find #78 for the BAMMJams - enjoyed solving the puzzle, then it took a wee bit of looking to find the cache. But soon in hand, and the mini BammJams chose a wee red car to take out, and put a dice in. TFTC!
Took two visits to get this one. This time the gps wouldn't fire on my phone, so I used instinct rather than technology and made easy work of it.

#5085. One of those days where the finds were nearly all hard work. We made harder work of this one than we should have (I think the container is 1L rather than 500ml, which might be useful info for future finders). TFTC.
StreetWalker was delegated the task after unpixellating this puzzle, and he soon had some good-looking co-ords. Fortunately, the puzzle was updated before we headed out this afternoon, so we were armed with more accurate co-ords.
At GZ, could see many tracks from previous searchers. We searched for several minutes before finding the cache - not sure why it took us so long as the co-ords were spot on. Probably fixated on it being hidden in a certain manner, and thinking the container was smaller than it turned out to be.
Thanks for the puzzle and the cache.

As finders have commented on the bad co-ords, I'm fixing them up. Cache is still in place if anyone wants to find it.
Took a new reading at GZ, hoping that it is better than before. Puzzle edited accordingly.
