Had a weekday for geocaching to soothe my mental health. Finally stopped for this cache! TFTC CPwanderer, wasn't as bad a walk as I thought to get to the cache.
Continuing along the WH series We thought this would be a fitting one to end the day . Good walk through mallee scrub Tftc
Out with weredunn4 picking up a few caches in the Tailem Bend / Karoonda area.A quick find stamp and return here todayTFTC
Cache and log in good condition. Thanks CPwanderer for the hide. No trains spotted today.
Pleased to be back in the area so we can turn some of our previous frowns upside down. Thanks for placing the cache for us to find.
Out for another early morning search for a few more caches on this interesting trail, TFTC CPwanderer
Caching with the JAMS crew finding Wandering Heroes caches. We ended up finding over 300 and hiding 2 more. We replaced a lot of containers that were broken. We had a few showers of rain early which were getting us wet but they didn't last too long and it ended up being a nice day. Thanks to all the cache owners for placing the caches.
Out with the JAMS crew JJ52, Mogni, Allister W and sir_spectre, plus TallBikeStan and BratKat on this run. The logs where stamped as Mystery Randoms. The target's today where the Wander Heros trail ( as far as we could get ) plus any other caches in the towns or close to the road and the nearby Lab cache in Karoonda. We got slowed down by the rain till almost lunch. No wildlife sighted, not even a kanagroo. We found over 300 + caches, some of us had found some of them before but we are aligning all of our maps to the same finds. We replaced over 40 wandering heroes caches we found broken, most logbooks where dry and put in the new cache. Any logsbooks found close to full had a scroll added to the cache and all broken caches we removed and put in the bin. By the end of the day we had over a garage bag full of broken caches.
Another JAMS day was organised to tackle the Wandering Heroes trail (JJ52, allister w, mogni, sir_spectre plus tallbikestan and BratKat). We started the day with rain and hail as we drove through the hills towards Tailem Bend but by the time we started the series we just had a couple of light showers and then for the rest of the day it was fine although we had strong cool winds.
That didn't stop us though, and we had a fun day finding around 300 caches plus an Adventure Lab in Karoonda. We had come prepared with lots of spare containers and replaced a heap of broken containers and sometimes logbooks. We managed to get to Sandalwood where we called it a day, so now have plans to come back and completed the last of the series.
This was my first visit out here since 2016 and by the end of the day I had 197 finds plus the Adventure Lab which I was pretty happy about.
Thanks for the cache CPwanderer.

Decided to go out this morning and clean up a few DNF's and caches I had missed on this trail, got a little lost in the woods trying to find this one, was a bit of a walk to get there, and after cleaning up 2 spider webs and face planting on tree branches I found it , cache and log in good condition. TYFTC
Took off away from home with Jack to escape the rain.
Ended up at your cache!
Found the nice new cache and signed the fresh blank log book. A sort of first to sign scenario
thanks for placing this cache CPwanderer
2020 - the year of the flat caching curve!
Keep washing your hands. Exercise.
Support the regions by placing more caches ( esp around the Barossa please [:o)] )
Big thankyou to Gizmos Gang for checking on this and replacing it!!!! It had indeed gone!!!
Always good to fix up a DNF when it was indeed missing the first time round. Big thanks to CP and Gizmo’s Gang for the recent maintenance on this one.
It seems that this one was indeed missing. The tree I suspected at GZ was in quite a mess. That is a big assumption that the cache was at that spot. Thank you to CP and Gizmo’s Gang for the recent maintenance on this one, and I appreciate you allowing me to log this as a find.
Had a good look around here today for quite a while. This one has me beat. I’ll add it to my watch list and see if anyone else can find it (or if the CO makes a visit).
Well, the Mega was over, my geobuddies headed back home and now I was off to SA to continue my geotrip solo
Moving right along on the geo trip and today's goal was to knock off more of the Wandering Heroes and OTD series as well as any others along the way. Most were easy finds with only a couple proving a challenge.
Thanks for the hide and for the series, CPwanderer

Thanks CPWanderer for this cache, and your contribution to the whole WH series. I was on a mission today to grab as many of these as I could. I did as the text says and followed on in after Southern Belles. Unfortunately I was unable to find this one. Pic attached of the devastated tree at GZ, but for all I know it could have been hiding better than my eyes would let me see.
The Wandering Heroes trail keeps on wandering and so do we, along with ilook4geo. Most of the caches we did today were in acceptable condition, although there were still a couple where containers need to be replaced and a few logs that also need to be renewed. As is normal, each log had our visit noted by the addition of two lots of initials, being GP2 and ilg.
Our thanks go to CPwanderer for adding to this trail and to the fun of the game.

I had planned a big few days of caching in SA so I left work on a Tuesday evening and hit the road from Melbourne. This was my third full day of caching and the Wandering Heroes caches (and assorted others nearby) were on my target list. It was a blisteringly hot day (felt hotter than the 39C recorded on my car!) and the dry and dusty conditions made it hard going at times. My first task having left where I was staying overnight in Murray Bridge was to head to the Geopets series. Once I was done there I headed on to the Wandering Heroes and others along that route. Many took me longer than expected with different containers, hide styles and some further off the road. In the end I had to adjust my expectation of finds for the day before I headed north to where I was staying overnight. Thanks to CPWanderer for this cache and to all COs for placing and maintaining this remarkable series. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
A fittingly good stroll to find this cache today
That got the blood pumping a bit.
More from trying to swat the damn flies,
rather than the walk [:o)]

Tuesday 8 November 2018.
Congrats on being honoured on this trail.
Yet another fabulous day out with gridge98...so fabulous that we stamped all of the logs as "Fabulous Randoms" (the ink in a few was becoming a little light).
We stopped at about 150 caches today as we were on a mission for Connor to reach his 4,000th caching milestone, and for me to get closer to my 10,000th. I'd found a few before today so my find count was a little lower, but anything over the 100 mark is a great day caching! We even began our day by attending a coffee event at 7:30am and then finished it with dinner and movies...haha, yep, the GIFF event was on tonight at the German Club.
Thanks so much for the cache CPwanderer! [^]

A day out with GoodLook on a mission to do as much of the wandering heroes series.
We found 150 along the way till we had to pull the pin and head home. Happy to find my 4000th at the last one. TFTC for all the CO for placing the caches. Some of the caches are in poor condition others are fantastic hides. We stamped all the caches with the fabulous randoms stamp

I was on my way to Barmera, with a bit of time on my hands as planned lol, so I was going to find some interesting caches along the way and a few of the power trail caches. The rain stopped, which was a bonus. At some point I decided to stop only for the large ones, otherwise I would never make it to my destination for the night! Great walk this one!!! TFTC!!
Had a free half day and decided to notch up a few of the Wandering Heroes series. It was great to get some background on some of the familiar team names I have encountered while out and about. TFTC.
Found on a one month road trip around Australia. Sorry for the generic log. TNLNSL TFTC
Found with FerociousFlea on our 2017 June Long Weekend Wandering Heroes Caching Run. Totals included 155 on Saturday, 176 on Sunday and 6 early Monday, making for 337 caches in a little over 48 hours.
Thanks to all of the cache owners and caching teams that have this series named after them. Thanks also to those who make the effort to maintain other's caches so that people like us can do these caching runs. Apologies for the generic logs...

Out caching with Hevwalker today to make a dent on some more of the Wandering Heros caches.
We had a fun time but didn't hit the 100 we had initially hoped for. For me it was 63 finds for the day. I was happy with that.
Hevwalker and I did a bit of 4WDing to this one, it was a lot of fun.
TFTC CPwanderer.

Out on the Wandering Heroes Series with Ismartis...we enjoyed our day though it could have been a bit cooler...crazy cachers out in the heat & humidity...
Oops...did not read your description before getting this cache...we did not fancy a walk in this heat anyway...looked at satellite map and found up the road a bit (about 1km) is an entrance to the track along the railway line which we cruised to within a few metres of GZ...we enjoyed a bit of driving off the bitumen...

Beautiful Autumn day only the one snake was seen ( only a foot long still scary lol ) The whole family has enjoyed the Wandering Herero's series. This series is a real credit to all cachers and cache owners. Sorry for the generic log. TFTC
Another day out caching with CAD - getting closer to the next milestone T4TC:)

After a few months of planning, and trial runs I finally attempted and complete my goal of doing a 24 hour SOLO cache run!!!
One Man, One Day, 441 caches found!
I booked two nights at Murray bridge and arrived at 8:00 pm. Attempted without success to sleep until 11:30 pm then got up and went to the location of the first cache. As the clock turned to midnight I began.
Speed through the Oz Mega 2014 Trail with only a handful of DNFs, then picked a few up along the highway until I got to the GeoPets trail.
After this I cut through to Wandering Heroes and completed up to the "OTS: May" trail. Went along this and came back into Tailem Bend for lunch and fuel and few in town. Was beginning to get weary but proceeded back to where I left off in the Wandering Heroes.
From here on in I just completed as many of these as I could up through Karoonda in the hot hot mid 30's day until midnight stuck a few kms east of town.
441 finds was the total count and now I just had to drive back to Murray Bridge. Easier said then done after being awake for practically 40 hours. Hit the hotel pillow at 1:20 am and was out within seconds.
Thanks for all the wonderful caches around this area, and sorry for generic logs.

I found this cache today as number 39 of 161 in company of Cold Freeze on our Karoonda Road Run III. Our first run back in 2008 was well before Wandering Heroes and yielded just 14 caches along the entire road and our caching figures were in the 2,000's back then. Our second run in 2012 brought us 160 caches where we started at Loxton and continued caching all the way past Karoonda to just before the Murray Bridge - Tailem Bend Junction. From there, we headed into Tailem Bend for Dinner and continued back from there for a few extra caches before giving up about an hour before dark. Our caching numbers were in the 5,000s at that time. Today, with caching numbers now in the 8,000s, we picked up at the point we had left off last time near the Murray Bridge - Tailem Bend Junction and headed south with the aim of finishing off all of these caches then caching our way back towards Loxton. I had not counted the caches in this section before leaving home and I thought that there were probably about 80 caches there. Once we got them all done, we found that there were just over 140 left in that area so we didn't get much past Karoonda on the way back after all. A great day though nonetheless and there looks to be at least one more full caching day to come at some stage. 2 of 5 on foot here. Thanks to all cache placers in this series today from D B-A.
On a WH mission today to try to get to 100 caches for the day. Stupidly I forgot sunscreen so was getting scorched along the journey. Drank about 5 litres of water and found 103 caches. If I'd had a co-driver could have found alot more but alas not he was harvesting. Enjoyed listening to the cds I got for Christmas on the 5 hour return trip to get to/from Tailem Bend from Naracoorte. TFTC and apologies for the generic logs.
First day of holidays so I thought I might knock a few more of this series on the head. TFTC
Take 2 at what we started during OZ Mega Murray Bridge, took us a while to get back here but we made it. TFTC.
Went out towards Karoonda to try and clean up some more wandering heroes caches and found around 60. It was a great day with my grandpa and mum.

Tftc. This is my second time on this trail, still so many to find. Pretty sure I took the longest possible route on this one's
Hint: go straight to the train tracks and follow your compass from there, don't bush bash it like we did!! TFTC
The Parrots are on holidays and on a quest to find 8000 caches before returning to duty.
Had a fantastic day folling heroes.
Only saw one cache that had eclipse tins in it.
over 100 finds and mints on my last cache of the day.
This must be some sort of record for me.
Loved driving beside the track as I didnt like some of those roadside stops with the trucks thundering past.
A great day out and in the afternoon we headed to Loxton Hotel for the night.
Fiona O'Loughlin is performing here tonight but unfortunately it is sold out.
Tomorrow back down the road to find some more.

The Geo family was out for the Queens Birthday weekend and remained in the area overnight. What a brilliant series and a real credit to South Australia – very inspirational. We will have to come back again to complete this wonderful series.
We were out with the geofamily staying overnight at a motel in Tailem Bend. We were out for a total of two days nonstop geocaching. We used the geomobile and our bikes cycling 10km up the freeway! I know we are crazy! TFTC
Cache container checked..... all ok. Thanks to Gizmos Gang for replacing the container!!

One of the many caches we found afer attending our 1st OZ Mega with whitewebbs. Thanks to all who placed caches for our enjoyment.
What a week this has been at the Oz Mega Event in Murray Bridge SA. I have so many caches to log so it will have to be a cut and paste log because of the numbers but this does not mean that that I don't appreciate the effort that all the cache owners have put in to hide these caches because without the hiders we would not have the pleasure of finding the vast number of caches that have been placed in this area and also the owners of caches along the roads that we have to travel to arrive in M.B and return back to our homes.
I left Geelong on Wednesday 16th April 2014 and arrived home a week later with close to 500 caches found and now the mammoth task of logging all of these caches.
Thanks to all the cache owners who placed caches for everybody to find.
Early Monday 21st April I ventured out to this group with fellow cacher Happy Feet 1 (Robin and Josh) signing the logs as B & HF1 and finding all along the way until we decided to return to Murray Bridge with our aim today was to log at least 150.
This is not the order we found these but for ease of logging I will log in order.

Here in the area for the Oz Mega from Wodonga, spending the day with Bushfire. Our goal today was to grab 150 caches along the Wandering Heros Trail. It is wonderful to see these people who have been recognised along the way. We had a great day in the area making the finds. There was some great hides and our thanks to all the hiders for the effort in hiding and maintaining the various caches. Thanks.CPwanderer.

We been Cruiz'n along this here road pick'n up a few of these here geo-caches for a while now.
This one had us in the bush for the find. Good on ya Cruiz'n for your Wandering Hero status.
Unfortunately the UV had wreaked havoc with the container and we hadn't carried any replacements with us. It needs urgent maintenance.

Thanks for your cache CPwanderer, we found on our way to the OzMega Event in Murray Bridge to be held over Easter. Yoru cache helped to break up the long drive from Perth and give us an excuse to stop and stretch our legs.
Found this cache while attending Oz Mega. Had a great time and appreciated all the effort of the organisers and the owners of placed caches. Thank CPwanderer
Geocaching a section of the Wandering Heroes with my Geodaughter during the last day of Oz Mega. The flies and the heat detracted from the overall enjoyment of the expedition, resulting in only a handful of caches being completed.

#5605 We had completed a portion of this ever expanding series back in Apr13 when we cut loose on the Mega, Signal, Arrow, Tour De France and Fruit Loop series'. Whilst at the Mega this Saturday, our caching companions were out on the Signal series we thought it an ideal time to head out and find some more caches along this diverse trail. The road was relatively quiet and the weather spectacular for our days caching. We are impressed with the selfless cachers who go to the time/effort/expense of recognising others along this trail. Also our thanks to CPwanderer who commenced this dedication trail.
We quite enjoy bushwalking too and have some "hiking" caches ourselves so when it became apparent that we'd have to go for a bit of a walk, we were more than up for the challenge . It was interesting to see the 20 euro stuck in the tree near to GZ. Despite quite a few people out on the WH Trail, there hadn't been any visitors for the day when we arrived at 1.20pm. We see that the CO has visited this cache subsequent to our visit, when we were there the cache lid was broken but no doubt this has been sorted now. Our thanks to CPwanderer for the cache and for the fun. Cheers [^]

Found this one on our day out from the Oz Mega as we attempted the Wandering Heroes trail. logging this one as Team Z (Grub Fred, JMCz, Backwards Charlie, and myself) this one one of the many great Caches we found along the way Thanks for the great effort put into creating and maintaining these caches over this very busy period.
Sorry for the Generic Log but with 200+ caches to log today the mind is very Numb.
Happy Caching.

From Auckland via Sydney I arrived at Adelaide around 10pm on the 17th to be picked up by funkymunkyzone, slieschke and Cats&Dragons (thx!). The plan was a 24h geocaching run which included picking up as many caches possible involving the three trails of Oz Mega, Wandering Heroes and Tour de France. We made it just in time back to Murray Bridge to meet up with vistra and yorkshirekiwi83 at GZ of our first cache. With the whole Team "NZ Fun" assembled the run started exactly at midnight.
In total we managed 727 finds and 11 DNFs in 24 hours. Wow what a great team effort!!
After the "Oz Mega 2014 SA & Signal" Series we started to concentrate on the "Wandering Heroes series". Great trail with sooooooo many awesome and creative geocaches. Thanks to all the cache owners! TFTC

I am over from New Zealand for Oz Mega 2014 and today joined forces with fellow kiwis Yorkshirekiwi83, Cats&Dragons, Funkymunkyzone, Slieschke and Alpenmilch80 for a 24 hour non stop caching run! The log books were signed under the team name of "NZ Fun"
We started near Murray Bridge and worked our way around the Oz Mega 2014 Signal trail, then on to the OZ Mega 2014 SA trail. Once those trails were finished, we headed over to Tailem Bend and worked through the Wandering Heroes series up to Loxton. From here we made our way across to the Tour De France power trail. Whilst the power trails were our main focus, we also picked up a few other caches along the way. At the end of the 24 hours we finished with 727 cache finds!!! It was an exhausting 24 hours and we still had to drive back to Murray Bridge afterwards! Sorry for the generic logs, but a big thank you to the cache owners for all of the cache placements!

Found as part of a 24hour cache run with 5 other kiwi's while at the OZMEGA2014 Murray Bridge (Alpenmilch80, Slieschke, funkymunkyzone, vistra & Yorkshirekiwi83, ) on Friday 18th April. All logs were signed as "NZ Fun"
We had a great time and throughly enjoyed the challenge that this presented to us all, thank you to the cache owners for being able to create such a range of caches for us to complete.
We started our run at Signal, through to OZ MEGA 2014, The Wandering Hero's, Tour de France with many other caches along the way. For all that we managed we only had 11 DNF's in the whole trip which for the numbers was pretty amazing in its own right.
So again thank you for the NZ FUN
We had a great time and throughly enjoyed the challenge that this presented to us all, thank you to the cache owners for being able to create such a range of caches for us to complete.

Found with alpenmilch80, Cats&Dragons, funkymunkyzone, vistra and yorkshirekiwi83 on an epic 24 hour cache run of the Oz Mega trails, Wandering Heroes, Tour de France and a bunch of caches between these. Signed as NZ Fun (and also some instances of Fun NZ as the day continued on)! A total of 727 caches were found on this run!
Thanks to all the COs for their placements!

Sitting in a pub in Auckland before the SA MEGA we decided it would be a really fun idea to try and see how many caches we could find within 24hours. So it was decided, team NZ Fun was born (myself, Alpenmilch80, Cats and Dragons, slieschke, funkymonkeyzone and vistra). We met at the dedicated starting point just before midnight and we were ready to go on the stroke of 12, we completed Signal, OZ Mega trails, Wandering Heros and the Tour de France with many others in between.
Thank you to the many cache owners who put time and effort into placing and maintaining these trails, we really appreciate it, we managed 727 caches within our 24hours, which was exhillerating, exhausting and loads of fun. Apologies for the generic log.

Attended the OZ Mega - enjoyed wander around the country... search, found and signed the log with KB. Thanks.
Team "NZ Fun" - funkymunkyzone, slieschke, alpenmilch80, vistra, yorkshirekiwi83 and Cats&Dragons - found this on our rather loosely planned 24 hours of cache finding record run, from midnight to midnight on the 18th of April 2014. We started with the Signal geo-art trail, headed up through the other Oz Mega 2014 trails, the Wandering Heroes series and then across to the Tour de France trail for a total of 727 finds and 11 DNFs for the day. Apologies for the copy/paste logs, but with so many caches found in a single day it was impossible to remember specific caches, but that's not to say there weren't memorable caches along the way - there were indeed some great caches, particularly along the Wandering Heroes series. Special thanks to the cache hiders: OzFiresafe, Team Hurtle, and their helpers, for the Oz Mega 2014 trails; le equipe de cinq pour la piste "Tour de France"; and all the hiders of the Wandering Heroes caches and other caches along the way that we found along the way. We started at midnight on the Signal trail and ended at midnight after a few random caches in Eudunda before making the long drive back to Murray Bridge for some well earned sleep - for some of us, the first sleep for more than 45 hours. We stopped at every cache and it was a fun day but very tiring, and I don't think I'd do it again for a very long time (I'll stop short of saying never though, like organising another mega - ha!) TFTC!!!
Find 370 of 727 for the day.

Out with PatDJ, Everlasting and KB on a sunny day at Oz Mega. Great company making for great fun. Thanks for the cache and apologies for the generic postings.
Out with Everlasting to find some caches. This trail seems like a tribute to mainly S.A. cachers which isn't surprising. As such, there are few names I recognise but I can still enjoy some novel containers and appreciate the smileys on my map. Thanks for your contribution to the Heroes.
Out and about with Just A Trifle collecting some of the Wandering Heroes series before the SA Mega-event started.
Continuing our sojourn in South Australia before the Oz Mega Event gets into full swing, we teamed up with Ozibags to capture a few of the Wandering Heroes This is our 3rd day in a row in which we have found over 100 caches, and we noticed our pace had slowed considerably We have not been fortunate enough to have met Cruiz-n but we were pleased to be able to capture this smiley in their honour. Thank you for having placed the cache CP Wanderer
Traveled down to South Australia from Townsville, North Queensland, with MattCNS to attend the 2014 Oz Mega Event being held at Murray Bridge.

Day 3 of RobS72 and my caching binge in SA for the 2014 Mega Event. This was cache #85 out of 200 for the day. Today was the day we decided to tackle the Wandering Heroes trail. We made an early start and our progress was fast but not fast enough to complete them all. We did manage to find enough caches for me to clock up my 100th find! There was lots of interesting and artistic caches found today and some good ideas to take home with us. Most of the caches had safe places to pull over in both directions which is a credit to the planning of the cache owners. Thanks CPwanderer for contributing to the Wandering Heroes series. TFTC.
Note: We saw one train using the railway line today. It is good to remember that it is an active railway when crossing level crossings and walking near the tracks.

Found at 11:28 AM GAFF1 in the company of Ian from Ian & Sue Team Pathfinder.
We like these descriptive sort of caching names - wish we could come up with something more inventive than pprass
Thanks CPwanderer.

Found on a morning spent caching with PPRASS from the show grounds at Murray Bridge.
Day three of my caching journey from Wodonga to Murray Bridge.
After a mammoth day yesterday I once again was up early to tackle the remainder of the Wandering Heroes series that I didn't get to between Tailem Bend and the Karoonda Hwy junction (and a few extras along the way, including the lost wanderers).
I set off at daybreak and arrived in MB by around 2pm. Lots of fun was had again, and a few places that the GeoDog enjoyed stretching her legs. 107 found in the stretch before lunch.
Thanks to all the COs for caches!

On our way to the OZ Mega event in Murray Bridge we decided to attempt a 24 hour challenge and see how many caches we could find, our final count from midnight to midnight on the 13th of April 2014 was 247 caches (not too bad for a couple of grandparents).
After a bit of sleep in the car, we completed the wandering heroes trail the next day, and continued on to the 2014 mega caches .
We discovered that all the preparation we put into this helped make the challenge go smoothly...
plenty of maps, batteries, lights etc. Our only pitfalls were lack of sleep and a lack of loo's along the way
After logging in the many caches we noticed that sadly we missed a few, so we will be back.. DOH
Many thanks to all the cache owners for their creative endeavour to make this trail of honour to fellow cachers.
Sorry for the generic log.... over 600 logs to do.

#1865 - 14:43; Day three of Sol de lune and LuckyL10n's great big SA Road trip. An early start was in order as we planned to have a big day out on the road between Loxton and Tailem Bend. Our goal for the day was to pick up as many of the WHS along that route as we could. I was looking forward to cracking the 100 caches in a day barrier for the first time and by day's end we had at least doubled that! It was great to grab more than 200 caches for the day, with only one DNF. A great series and we enjoyed the pleasure of the hunt. I will most certainly be back for more on another trip.
My thanks go to the numerous COs for the caches, and especially to all those who help to maintain them

Neat little walk in.....
Found with LuckyL10n on our 5 day road trip to SA....ending with the Mega at Murray Bridge for myself. Lots of caches grabbed with only one DNF. All caches were found without issues. A great series of caches that we were pleased to have the chance to grab....will need to come for more on another trip.
Thanks to all the various CO for the series and caches.

Over from Perth to attend the SA Oz Mega. Decided to head out today, our 2nd day in a row and see how many more of this series we could complete..
Great day all up with no DNF's and a whopping 153 finds but still plenty more in this series for us to find before we can claim to have it finished up to current. Our biggest number of finds in a day for sure.
The weather was much kinder today. We saw several centipedes guarding the caches but thankfully no snakes. Mr Felix took a few tumbles as he was busy watching the GPSr and not the ground! Thankfully all okay though.
Thanks to all those who have contributed. Look forward to attempting the rest soon.
