I searched & searched until muggles appeared & moved on. I rolled over the 'ball' thinking it might be there, but no. There was a fascinating menagerie of life forms there. A large centipede, a conical creature with a large ring-like mouth that I've never seen before. A leach I guess. I wish I'd taken a picture now.
Thanks anyway Moo
Thanks anyway Moo
All good things must come to an end, this is no exception.
Having moved from the area a little over a year ago, I can no longer maintain the cache. So it is time to archive and make the space available to someone else - hopefully they will give some thought to the hide and make it an interesting one too.
Thanks for all the positive feedback - it's been fun to watch.
Cheers

What a lovely cache hidei. We are driving by today and saw this one with close by. We visited the sculpture first and admired the quirky artwork. It is lovely to see a cache placed in honour of the work of art.
Thanks

After a few false starts I found this one in a discounted spot. A nice hide, and a good way to get my brain working on a Sunday morning. TFTC.
Easy find with JetFuselage and WhiteChocolateMocha (I've seen this type of hide before). It was challenging to extract and sign without all the passing muggle traffic noticing what we were doing! TFTC Moo
Found 5:00 pm with Skypirate~. I went out with the geoson to do a bit of caching. We had been down near the Molonglo, and couldn't reach one of the caches so I wanted to still a couple more so looked in this area. This cache was a good candidate and we soon had it in our hands. I had parked the geovehicle in the nearby side street and we headed over to GZ. We checked out one possibility and then having encountered a variety of cache hides before I'd better check this spot. Sure enough the well constructed cache showed itself. Unfortunately I left all my goodies in my kit bag back in the geovehicle since this cache could use a couple more treasures. Signed the log and returned the cache to where we had found it. With the passing traffic and nearby homes it would be interesting to note how long this will survive for, perhaps it could have a long life. A fav point for the effort.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Find number 4 for us. This was an awesome find. We wandered for awhile, then stood there rereading the clues, looked a bit more and finally found it. If it had been a snake it would have bitten us!!!
#609. 192 days in a row.
I'm finally catching up on logging my finds from earlier in the year. I hope I've got all the dates right, but I've definitely found all of these caches and kept my streak going as long as I'm logging.

On a mission to reach 500 with Geochicks, Snickersallan (SA), Fit02 and Rat PackLeavings (RPL). p.s. I signed in as (BW) on todays run
Team find with geo friends, Bluewattle (BW), FIT02, RatPackLeavings (RPL). To save time, I signed log as SA (Snickersallan) and TFTC. Fav point awarded from me.
Found with HH3K on an outing to keep the daily streak going. Very tricky hide, and we looked around at a fair few options, but came back to the GZ for another review and found it. We had found a few similar caches but this one was very well put together! A fav point from me! TFTC! edited to get the date right...grrr.
#200 cache for me - whoot! Glad we did this one for my #200th - it was a good one. We kept moving up and down the field before honing in on the only possible place for the goal. Score! a fav point from me as well TFTC
Found whilst walking around West McGregor in the fog. Walked past the statue of the boys playing soccer, took me a minute to figure out they were not real boys. Sneaky hide but figured out where it must be as it was of a reasonable size container. TFTC.
I came here yesterday (twice actually - 2nd time I thought the big chunk of concrete was it - it isn't) Last night I talked with my geo-daughter and she gave me a clue. When I think of when this was placed this type of cache was cutting edge - seen a fair few like this but none this elaborate - I understand why you get so many favourites (one from me too) - not the scenery but the ingenuity. Thanks Moo
This must be something very special for it to have so many "favourites". I looked extensively, read all the previous logs, didn't understand the Hint even tough I've seen the movie. "I'll be back"
The GeoSchnauzers and I had a nice long walk to get to this cache. Good hide, well done!!! TFTC.
Another one on the way home. The GPS compass was a bit out but the MAP was spot on. A cool cache..I love it. TFTC
TFTC Moo. Found on 2nd attempt with help from avagomob. Very sneaky hide well done!
I love the name of this one. I must have missed the statue, as I am still left wondering what it is all about. I have seen a number of hides like this one, but this one is well done. SL TNLN TFTC
Nice well hidden cache found while taking the kids for a ride on the bicentennial trail.
#1151 - 16:25; What originally started as a mini mission to clear a few solved puzzles turned into a mini mission to clear a few more caches in West Belconnen with a puzzle thrown in for good measure. This was the fourth of six for the afternoon and after finding a park, made my way to GZ for a quick find. The coords were spot on and having found one quite like this in Launceston early this year, put my hand straight on this one. TFTC Moo, appreciate the effort, so a favourite from me!
Our GPS took us to a particular location which, initially, looked as though the cache might be elsewhere. However a closer inspection revealed a very well concealed and constructed cache with the contents being in very good condition. This cache certainly earns a favourite from us. Thanks for a great cache Moo.
Found on a late trip home with thanks to CO. Have found ones like this before so don't know why I found it so hard yesterday. Thanks for the encouragement Moo. TNLN SL TFTC
2nd DNF for the day - very disappointing - absolutely nothing that looks remotely like a cache. CO may need to check.
There is nothing at GZ and even all things around 10 m that matched the hint turned out to be just things.
Found with mtrax, chanlord and my muggle partner. A really nifty hide, but further from the listed coordinates than expected. TFTC!
10:23:00 AM: (10 of 14) Find#4976
Found with TienHua and chanlord and muggle friend hovering up some caches in West belconnen
A pretty good hide but coords put me about 10m out into the paddock which had us scratching out heads for a short while but I gravitated to a likely spot before being rewarded with great hide.. +1 fav from me.
but need to update coords just a bit...
thanks

I spied the hide, dismissed it as too hard, and wandered about. I rang a paf, OH! it was there! grrrr, thanks Moo
Didn't find it, might have been a bit too ambitious for us beginners. I chose it because it was close to home. I'll try again after I've had a bit more experience.
Great hide! Love this idea. We have seen a few now but they are always impressively put together. Thanks for the hard work Oh and sadly no TB here.

Straightforward placement in hindsight, but still elegantly hidden with Mrs Red_V finding it easily, and providing another caching lesson for me on how to spot them. TFTC.
A very creative hide, but it didn't fool Mrs Red_V. Break in traffic allowed the cache to be retrieved quickly, log signed and returned. TFTC.
Found and logged at 9:40
One of 3 caches for day 10 of the August Geocaching Challenge
Found before leaving Canberra for home
Thanks for the cache Moo

I would have kicked myself to moo if I hadn't have found this one. Found a few like it in the past. Find a break in the traffic was the hardest bit.
I have seen these before but, nevertheless, a very well designed container particularly for your first cache! Fantastic effort Moo and a favourite from me.
That is one very good cache. I was getting close to giving up. Well worth a favorite. Good thinking and workmanship. TFTC TNLN SL.
I initially discounted where the GPS had taken me because I couldn't see where anything could be hidden but eventually I came back to the spot and looked a llittle more closely. A very well constructed cache and added as a favourite. TFTC
And what a cache this is!
Had my old man and myself stumped and walking backwards and forwards looking at the GPSr for a potential better fix, but as it turns out the GPSr was fixed on right, our brains weren't though!
I've got a similar cache in the making deep in the workshop, glad to see others with similar ideas
TFTC and the favorite Moo ... ( which also happens to me my nickname )

"I" and Senior S went looking for this about 12 months ago in our early caching career. Senior s went back again today and found it straight away. Well constructed.
TFTC Moo.
TFTC Moo.
I couldn't decide which side of the fence I was on, but it turned out there was no need to stress. TFTC.
Looked and looked and looked and couldn't find it. Promised to return with stirfryinoz and her awesome cache sense.
A few hours later, in the dark and fueled by wine, we returned. The cache was exactly where I'd been looking, but with more persistent wiggling, the treasure was finally revealed.
Thanks stirfryinoz! And thanks Moo.

TFTC!!! Great hide. Would not have found it without help of Team Hubcap Wozza!
Easy find. I think it would be a hard one for a beginner cacher. Love this hide. Awesome
Rode my bike to an art exhibition opening out at Strathnairn ... ended up missing most of the opening because I made myself late by taking too long finding caches on my way there - oops?
- figured I may as well find a few more on my way home, seeing it was only the dogs waiting for me to get there. (they got fed and walked once I ... eventually ... got home
This was the second of the 5 I looked for, and found (would have been 6 but I missed the turn off to the first one and decided not to go back because I can grab that on my way past when I go back out to Strathnairn another time)
This one had me scratching my head, and under rocks/around trees/in trees/etc for a while ... but my phone kept pointing me back to where I had parked my bike ... the hint didn't help, but I read a couple log entries about the clever hide ... and I looked up and down and around, and was about to give up when I had a weird thought and tried one last thing ... yep - there it was! sneaky thing! LOL
I didn't even find the sculpture until after I had replaced the cache and rode accross the paddock back to the road I wanted to be on to get to the next cache ... they looked kind of weird out all alone in the paddock in the dark - lol
TFTC ... first time I have seen one hidden quite like this (but I guess I had seen some similar enough for it to occur to me to look where I did I took a photo of the First to Find - Dispatch geocoin (wasn't sure what it was but it had what looked like a tracking number on it ... which I have now looked up and am about to log my discovery and left a fluffy little Easter chicken (I was going to put them in any caches I found over Easter, but life got in the way and I never even got to go looking for any).

definitely adding to my favs list not just for the hardwork to put this cache together. An instant find thanks to doing these types of caches so often, tftc
I suspected that this one was going to be be a little out of the ordinary and I wasn't disappointed!
TFTC Moo ...your efforts are greatly appreciated.

Love these types of caches. Makes you think outside of the normal. Left a geocoin for next finder. Ty for sharing
Now this one had me stumped... I had read the hint and thought... well that didn't help, After calling a friend I had another hint... Looked around, GOT IT
Cool cache. Earns a favorite in my book... There was no pens in the cache but for this very reason I always carry a collection of about 10, Dropped off a couple of pens to help the cache be just that bit more awesome and grabbed one of the pathtags.

Can't believe I disabled this one in Ocyober - it is still in place as previous cachers mentioned. Will try to repair in next 7 days. Moo
Found this one today in perfectly working order. While the lid is not attached, the container is still reachable and log recordable. It could do with a repair, but it doesnt need it to work. Logged. TFTC
My favourite cache yet! That's the only time that I'ver ever seen one like that! I almost gave up, and was about to leave, but I had one last look for it, and gladly found it.
TFTC!
TFTC!
Wow this one almost had us stumped, we were about to walk away but the geo kids curiosity found it! Great hide! TFTC
The seal between the 'lid' and container is starting to come off, could probably do with some repairs, unfortunately I didn't have the necessary tools sorry
Wow what a great cache. We nearly gave up with Teej777 also looking! Thanks. The best hide we've seen yet on this new journey of geo caching. Thanks for the cache.
Found very cool hide will take geo kid back to find it. But me and geo dog found it!!
Found this morning on the way to work. Thanks Moo for taking me to see the sculpture. Its fantastic. The cache size surprised me but was it good condition. Grabbed TB Dude Coin # 06. TFTC
=) Great cache!! loved the container and the name , with all the work gone into this a definite fav point from me ... TFTC =)
Found with Ayepeacee and Brightskies who were on a short visit from Brisbane. We have been wanting to get this cache since we got the published email because the name is a complete crack up, but somehow have never got around to it. Enzo uncovered the cache pretty quickly and we were glad it was big enough to drop a TB we have been looking after since we picked it up in Brisbane. TFTC Moo
Ayepeacee and I were visiting for the weekend from Brisbane, to spend time with the amazing zita&enzo. We were caching it up this sunny afternoon and this was one zita&enzo mentioned they have been wanting to find for awhile. We wandered over and enzo made the find in no time. Awesome cache, awesome container, i love it. TFTC Moo ^^
What a great hide! We really enjoyed this last cache for the day. Luckily not only Geomum tried her luck - it needed the strength of Geodad to get the cache
Love it. That is a seriously-engineered cache TN, left an awesomesmiley pin to reflect how awesome the cache is. TFTC!
Favourite point awarded. Not having read the description I actually thought those kids were real!
Cheers

Found on a Canberra run with Hoojar.
The sculpture had Hoojar fooled for a minute and he thought they were real! A fantastic little cache- well put together. Thanks!

Found on a chilly Canberra morning. After a bit of searching, the cache was in hand. A very nice hide that I really love, well done on the construction! Cool statue nearby. TNLN. TFTC Moo, a good one!
Hmm, after getting home and reading some of the other logs are starting to wonder how we missed it??
