No-one has found this for 12 months (except for a claimed find by a noob) and a request for maintenance has not been acknowledged, which is a bit disappointing. If it can't be maintained, maybe it's time to let this one go?

Cute little grandstand and a cache too, a bonus.
I've been in some of the best grandstands around the country watching cricket and AFL and from the back stalls here its one of the best views of the ground of anywhere I've been.
There was a game on here today, and just like when I turn the TV on at home and someone gets out next ball, well I found the cache, sat down and someone got out - sorry kid.
Great little place and an excellent spot to stop and stretch the legs after driving from Sydney.

More like a 'didn't get to look' than a 'did not find'... Smile

On the way back from Cessnock my son and I popped by here for a break and a cache search. We followed a couple of people up into the grand-stand. Other geocachers perhaps? No, it turned out to be a local with a boy who was maybe his grandson. The bloke was a nice chap who launched into a series of tidbits about the history of the oval and the town. He praised the quality of the pitch and said that England had played here. We both wondered about the merits of having a big tree in between the grand-stand and the field (!). He spoke about the nearby land being sold and of out-of-towners buying in and having trouble adjusting to the small-town mentality. He mentioned that there used to be a police station nearby, and how the stand used to have wobbly wooden steps. And he gave me a potted history of local cattle rustling!

After about half an hour my son and I said goodbye and left, skipping a cache search so we could get home in time for Dr Who. Well, I didn't find a cache but somehow I feel we got a Grand introduction to Mulbring!

Don't know how many times as a family we had stopped off here to eat our 'fish and chips' after a day of hunting fossils in a quarry not too far away. Great memories.
0110, GAFF1, but it did take a while of hunting around and around up and down before MVMB saw it.
All good with the cache, and I believe the coordinates would be good, but unable to leave a CSM.

Found at 10:39am with Calypso62 and JordsAU.

We drove up pretty close to GZ when approaching this cache. We hopped out and began our search. After looking around for 8 or 9 minutes, we finally clicked and realised where its resting spot could be given we had exhausted most spots in our original search area. I spotted the container but left it in position so the boys could make the find themselves.

I rather enjoyed this one, the open view was a great sight and the cache itself was also creative.

Out on a scout of the Hunter wine country. A quick find once the right elevation was achieved. A great view of the field..... and a lovely tree stuck right in your view. Somehow, I don't think we'll see and Ashes match played here in the near future!!! Razz Thanks Team Unibolt for the detour.

What a quaint little place this was....I would never have detoured into Mulbring if it wasn't for this cache, but glad I did. A simple little hide (It was in plain view so I tucked it away a little more when I was done), good clue and a nice view from the grandstand Smile TFTC TeamUnibolt

I was on the way up to the Hunter Valley and the dogs needed a break; this seemed ideal. There were few muggles around, probably due to the 40C heat, so I was able to search in peace. I had an idea on arrival of the likely hiding spot, which was of course wrong, and it took a little while to get altitudinally aligned and to fully understand the hint. A-ha! Thanks for the cache

After searching in all the obvious spots and finding nothing we looked at the photos and spotted something suspicious from the outside of the building upon closer inspection we had CIH. Good placement.

After a day out at Richmond Vale Railway Museum I decided to drop by here to pick this cache up just as the sun was about to set.
After parking right near the grandstand went up the stairs and had a look around did not know where a magnetised cache would be on a brick and timber structure but then noticed something and after reaching out to it I had the cache in hand.
After signing log we sat in the stand for 5 mins looking around the view of the game must have been better before the tree grew so big.
Thanks Team Unibolt for this cache.

Sneaky sneaky. Looking all around the obvious couldn't find it.....read some logs.....look at that ha there it is. TFTC.

Yeah , Found
We not long started the morning off with 2 DNF so I was determined to get this one or we were going home.
Went up and down those damn steps about 10 times before I looked more closely at the information and had an idea.........
Once I had the right idea I could not see it but I could feel it and soon had it in my hand and the logged signed.
We had lots of fun running to another spot to see exactly where the cache was from another vantage point.
You have to be pretty tall to get this one. Smile

Thanks Unibolt team

This one has been on my radar for a while. But I never seem to pass through this villiage. Driving through town today, i pulled up and played 'stairmaster' looking for this cache. Whilst contemplating how real that wasps nest looked (it was cold and the wasps were not moving) and how it possibly could make for a cool nano, I second guessed myself, looked up, and then had to play 'stairmaster' again.

Grabbed a subway and found a delightful park to eat it. Looked on the GPS, there is a cache 93m away. After devouring our lunch we headed for the grandstand. Finally found it after looking"outside the square". A great spot to have a cache. Thanx for bringing us here.

20-May-13
The holiday is coming to an end, we are heading south so after camping at Mussellbrook and picking up a few more caches on our way home.

The building is showing signs of age on the outside but the timber inside still looks great.
This would be a great vantage point to see the game and would have been a very popular spot in it's heyday.

This well hidden cache took us a little while to find but we got there in the end.
Thanks Team Unibolt for the cache.

After spending the morning at the Maitland markets it was time to do some caching. We were organized today and even had a list of caches we were hoping to find. This was one of them and we enjoyed the hunt. We used the picnic tables nearby for lunch - very nice.

Took some finding! Well placed cache. Heading up to Muswellbrook for my strata meeting it was a wet and rainy day so didnt do too much caching. This one promised to be a quick hunt and luckily the rain had stopped. Not at the first GZ I guessed, then read a log and made the connection but still took me a few minutes after that. I had a geocoin tiny enough to fit so it is now in residence.

Cheers!

Reperio at 1145.

I met up with gd at GZ this morning as we targeted this cache for the wrestling requirement of the Geosportz competition, and as we pulled up, we both had the same idea where to find the cache, but that wasn't to be. After a brief search around the general, we stepped back a bit to take in all the likely spots it could be, when gd said 'That's probably it'...and indeed it was. Snapped a photo for the competition, and after a brief chat, we were on our way. The view from the grandstand is still a good one, just needs a little bit of a fix up.

Last time we came to look for this cache, the stand was full of people watching a game at the oval. This time we had the whole place for ourselves and could systematically search for the cache.
