Took a few minutes here. The cache turned out to be what I was expecting it to be, broadly speaking, though I didn't know how would you would have executed it. What I found was a pretty cool cache.
Found a spot to leave my name on the log. Thanks for the hide Stegan.

Found with Stairman1, GreencGecko's and Seffnjarah.
Having completed a five day tramp over "Five Passes" in Fiordland National Park to claim first to find on a long unloved remote alpine earth cache, our reserve "bad weather days" are now free for us to go caching. So, we hired a car for a road trip looping around southern parts of the South Island, including a full days caching in Dunedin.
A wet and miserable day out today. After scratching our heads for a while at GZ, the eagle eyed Stairman spotted something not quite right. A cache! Thanks for the cache, stegan

We had finaly made it to Dunedin for a couple of days with a number of caches of interest still on our target list. Today it was a wet and miserable day and tramping through the damp and muddy undergrowth was a bit offputting but we perservered. Stairman1 was the first to spot the well camouflaged conatiner but sad to say I was the last one to see it well after everyone else. Finally we all signed the logbook before making a beeline back to the dry and warmth of the car. TFTC
Day after finishing the Otago rail trail time to spend in dunedin collecting a couple of caches thanks for the smiles. Walked around a it on this one. I was using my phone but for there in the end. Sneaky.
Had a good long search but no luck... couldn't spot anything that wasn't quite right apart from the large amounts of litter that seem to be common place in Dunedin now. I'm sure it's a great hide and I will return!
I spotted this one about 15 months ago when I was needing a lot for a sequence and wanted to make it easier. I returned a short time later and searched and searched but I just couldn't find it and ended up going for a nearby one by the same CO. Today it was a very quick find. Thanks for the effort that you put into it.
On a trip south to head to the Higlanders Game. Staying nearby and this was a nice walk despite the Dundedin weather. Quick easy find of another very cool container. I can see Canterbury needs to raise the bar on it's containers! I might steal your nano log extractor idea too! Thanks for the cache.
Found during outing along green belt with Survey Base. Yet another innovative cache and innovation with log extraction to boot. TFTC.
Driven past this one many times so decided today was the day being warm and sunny and with half an hour free before picking J up from netball practice. Came from below up the bank and obviously the long way. GPS was very jumpy (trees trees and more trees) especially at GZ and found myself going round and round in circles. After near on half an hour searching was almost ready to give up when headed slightly down and something caught my eye. On closer inspection was overjoyed to see what could be none other than a very clever cache! Log book indeed full but managed to sign our short name at the bottom. Took less than a minute to return to the car haha. TFTC
Not such a bad trudge through the woods today. After a bit of toing and froing, the sun hit the right spot and all was revealed! As others have mentioned, the log is full, but Mr Rex managed to make his scrawl down the side. Cheers stegan!
Another one that I expected to be a lot harder than it was. I came upon this quite easily and got the log out too. As others have said, it is very very full, so signed in tiny writing EK.
Not easy to find coming from sunlight into shade with light sensitive specs. Too dark with them on, too blurry with them off. Once normality was restored set about the task of locating another devilish stegan hide. About to call it quits when - aha! Log is at capacity. Managed to find a tiny bit of space earlier in the log to sign. The next lucky winner may not be so lucky. TFTC
I guess that twilight wasn't the best time to be trying to find this - it took ages - both to narrow down the location, and also to even work out what I was trying to find... Thankfully the right glimpse at the right time in the right direction spotted it, just before giving up. Thanks.
Fun scramble through the town belt, GPS was all over the place but we found it eventually. TFTC!
Out geocaching with eve07,vdh56 and icu plus hanger- ons (seven in total plus a new GSP (should of been 2 but a bit of computer trouble) so with so many eyes it was finally found. Many thanks.
PS Log book very full so hard to add 4 more names but they are there.

You've done it again stegan. I looked everywhere last time (including, presumably, straight at it) and this time I looked mostly at the ground in case it had dropped. But I just happened to look at the right angle at the right time.
It was on the lower outer edge of my searching circle, but given the bush cover that wasn't unexpected. The cache is safe and dry, but the log book is full. I found a space though.
Good one - thanks.

Looked for a while at what I think were the right trees, but didn't find anything... Will have to come back!!
I spent about half an hour here, trying all the different approaches, relying on and ignoring the GPS, but I saw nothing out of place. I'll be back.
Interesting reading the logs for this one- people have had a lot of fun finding. GPS not helpful but after a bit of thought we decided what to look for, and there it was. Thanks, Stegan.
Made it tougher as working off phone and was all over the place. So checked out several broadleaf before claiming prize. Log needs replacing as full. Tftc.
Had a day out with Hevic, Silvachief and Jaycie. Hevic had already found this cache made of pure evil, so she sat back and laughed at the three of us struggling to even lay eyes on it. Finally she relented and showed it to us, and suddenly I had fifty different kinds of sympathy for Hev finding it on her own. A favourite for sure, cheers!
Found this with Jaycie, Hevic and CJ-Curry today after a good deal of searching. Pretty proud to be the one that spotted it! Thanks for the cache.
Visiting Dunedin for the International Science Festive and have grandchildren as extra eyes so a team of five on the hunt for the Grisilinea. To begin with we were thinking like a hobbit which didn't help so switched to tried and true "something out of place" and bingo. Both parts of the cache were niffy but especially liked the simplicity of the retrivial system. Thanks for the fun
I found it, I found it.....wandercat didn't see it! ajbenn walked right past! and minecraft owl was thinking hobbit. Cool hide. Clever way to extract log.
This one scores a favourite from ajbenn. Ticks the boxes for clever container, clever hide and lots of thought gone into the trickery. Enjoyed the thrill of the chase.
Soggy grass on the approach. Played a game of round the bush while the GPS adjusted to the tree cover. A devious hide from a devilish master mind. (Went back twice looking for GC39Q80) Admired the retrivial system...elegant. TFTC
Was looking in the wrong place for a while, but then soon found the gz with many specimens. After a fewminutes of looking at the trees, i soon found the cache. TFTC
Super muddy on the way down but such a great hide. I was much to short and was about to come back with higher authority
When i arrived someone was just leaving, another cacher perhaps? If so, hello! I probably wouldn't have found this if not for the hobbit comment. Be warned, the cache did contain some creepy crawlies on top of a logbook! This was find 104 . Thanks!
Took a few minutes but nice hide. Funny how the "post find" comments are "that's so obvious" but only one spotted it
TFTC.

Tftc. At GZ I knew I was in the right spot. I walked in circles unable to find it... My partner eventually spotted it (first time find for her)!! And got to know about some Kiwi fauna!
Tftc.second attempt at this one, better GPS and more natural light made for a quick find this time.
TFTC, nice work! To honour The Finnish independenceday we took our 90th cache today! Hyvää itsenäisyyspäivää! Trevlig självständighetsdag!

Was looking at the wrong tree at first but then looked at another and ... wait a minute! That looks a bit funny! Thanks
Had been here before when new to geocaching and not understanding what a Stegan cache was about - it was not surprising we came away empty handed. We're back today and you could say we're a little bit wiser because Aoraki Sheep spotted something that looked out of place quite quickly.
Once at GZ I soon spotted something that looked a little out of place. Found with debsnz
This one was not as hard as I had thought it would of been and once the GPS said arriving a quick look around and yahoo I found it.
Found with wethreefourdices on a very successful days caching.

A quick easy find which gave us much joy as we had expected to be looking for some time. Found with ingidayna. TFTC
Wouldn't have found that without a little help from a fellow geo cacher. Unsigned cause of lost pen
After much mucking around with my friend, some disagreement over which gps was accurate, and a lot of searching we eventually found this one. Loved the cache!
The chilly wind made me rethink my layers a bit, but the thrill of the hunt kept me on course. Everything I needed was at hand, and more was threatening to fall ON me as the trees twisted in the wind!
Didn't get this one when down for the mega last year. Glad I was able to drop a friend at the nearby hospital and get a few caches this afternoon.
Come up for the Auckland NZMega 2013!
TFTC and the thoughtful of the design. Log dry and only half full.

Was expecting this one to take us awhile to find, but we literally walked right up to it. TFTC.
GPSr led us right to it - would've been a mission without such good reception.
Great container, TFTC!

I was down in Dunedin for the weekend, visiting mum. (Oh, well, caching, and visiting mum... )
We came on over here, and while I was walking around trying to get GPS signal, and deduce the cache location like that, my boyfriend literally walked straight on up to it! And the rest of us stared in amazement as to how he managed to spot it so quickly! Will def be keeping him round! Hahaha.
So then we just congregated, signed the log, and we were actually just totally amazed at how we found this so quickly! Esp for such a difficulty! Luck I say!
TFTC!!

Arrived with GPYess to attempt to find it, but decided to come back later that day better prepared. The rain was bucketing down, the co-ords were struggling - GPYesss, Bronysuarus and I searched for over an hour. And then... BAM! I saw the well camo'd suspect blending it a little too well. Favourite from me! TFTC.
Great hide. The hint had me doing everything apart from looking properly, until Panangboy came up trumps. Second of a lunchtime hat-trick. TFTC
We made our way to GZ wondering what we were in for. We spread out a bit and covered the area. I got lucky and spotted the cache nicely concealed and camoflauged after a few minutes of hunting. The others came over to admire the hide.
We then got down to business and then ensured that the cache was put back as intended.
Day 4 on our caching trip to Dunedin for the NZ MEGA 2012 event with Gunnie69, Kaisho53, Ozibags, Ghostgumsand MrMeccano. The morning was spent wandering the Flagstaff hunting in the mist & rain, rambling and plundering. After the CITO event, the afternoon was spent starting at the Octagon and heading through North Dunedin, around Forsyth Barr Stadium, University of Otago and heading out towards Leith Valley.
Sorry about the late lo but almost caught up now
TFTC, stegan!

It was a good thing fourbees took a broad approach as it was a well camouflaged container.

A very nice hide and one that could well have taken a long to nab if not looking from the right angle. With the group in full hunting mode, the container was located by TheFourBees though, after a couple of minutes. [^] After the rest had gathered around to admire the hide, it was extracted and the log revealed for signing. All done, the cache was replaced and some effort was put in to ensure it was hidden as best we could... Nicely done indeed...
Found with fellow Queensland hunters Kaisho53, OziBags, TheFourBees, Ghostgums and Mr Meccano.
Cheers stegan.

Caching with Ghostgums, Mr Meccano, Gunnie69, kaisho53 and fourbees while attending the NZ Mega. A clever sneaky hide. TFTC stegan.
Haha found it! Took a little bit of searching but spied eventually. Niec projectile in the retrieval process landed close (luckily). TFTC
We would like to do more Stegan hides. This is another very tricky one. It took quite a while for the GPS to finally settle to a likely area. Before that we'd searched quite a wider area looking for - we weren't sure what. Luckily we were caching today with Karenhippo who has quite the knack with thinking outside the box and coming up with a craftily hidden cache. Thanks Stegan for another good one.
This took some time, GPS had me jumping from tree to tree, was expecting to meet some MEGA attendee at any moment, but i had the bush all to my self.
NZ12. Whilst caching with Tealby before the Mega startup, we found ourselves here and began examining trees carefully. of course when Tealby eventually found it, I felt we had both looked at it before, but it was definitely a good container. Thanks.

We were almost prepared to DNF this one after hunting in vain for a while and wondering how much impact the trees were having on the satellite accuracy. But one last sweep of the area uncovered the "plainly visible" cache! TFTC.
Oh, stegan. You are nasty, vicious and horrible. After a search around that got me nowhere I reread the description and realised what I should be looking for. Two more complete searches and I had it, but I still think it was more luck than good management. But I'll take luck anytime!
Of course, it was raining the whole time...
Of course, it was raining the whole time...
Came to maintain but a muggle too close, staring weirdly at the trees...

You really need to have a good sight for this one. The microcontainer was on the ground. Would need some tape to fix it.
If you asked me what a broadleaf plant was I couldn't tell ya! When I got to GZ, my GPS was bouncing around, so I took a guess as to which trees might be Broadleafs. I inspected each one and eventually found the cache. Great little container stegan! TFTC
This was a really good example of how GPS can be "out" on some occasions. Spent a bit of time searching on the first occasion but came up empty handed. Went back today and GPS took me to a totally new location some 7-8 metres from where it was previously indicating and it took only a few seconds to spot something that just didn't look right.
Took us two separate attempts to find this one, but the satisfaction upon finding it was worth it. Love the container! TFTC
Spent a while looking for this, and upon re-reading the cache page it appears I was looking for the wrong thing in the wrong places.
Will be back!
Will be back!
