Logs
Was a bit dubious after reading previous logs but arrived at GZ and spotted straight away. Was a bit harder to extract the cache but got there in the end and log signed. TFTC
On a lunchtime dash to the town belt, Mr Rex was...err...stumped at Gz. Then, as with sooooo many others, something caught his eye, and after a bit of fiddly extrication...viola! TFTC.
Walked a long way to get here with magnet.....can't work out where to apply it....
Have to go catch a plane soon....shame.....

Yay......had one last look and what did I see out of the corner of my eye !
So obvious after all !
Thanks Stegan !

Had us scratching our heads for a minute but we didn't get grumpy about it. All smiles after we found grumpy stumpy.

We first saw a different stump, but then we found this one and it was pretty obvious.

Quick dash in the rain to this cache, no problems with extraction and the log quickly signed and replaced. TFTC
Very nice hide and in the Bush I was not expecting to see in the city of Dunedin a d a few tui's as well excellent placement TFTC
A nice walk in the park on a beautiful night. Out with p&vee so thought I would get this one out the way. TFTC
A pretty straightforward find.
I think grumpy stumpy was not grumpy when grumpy stumpy was still stumpy but grumpy stumpy became grumpy after everyone started calling stumpy grumpy, making grumpy stumpy grumpy stumpy. Poor sod.
In other news: Dunedin ratepayers rejoice! Your taxdollars were hard at work today, cleaning the wonderful walking tracks through these surroundings. Befitting the title of this cache, the DCC man grumpily informed me that "it will all have blown back tomorrow". Regardless, I loved his work so much that I sat down to watch him doing his duties for a little while. Which, in retrospect, I think made him even grumpier. Poor sod. But, to make up for this, I put a flower in one of his traffic cones. Hope he liked it

Visiting from Australia I decided to skip trying to dodge muggles around the city caches and take a pleasant walk in the park instead.
A quick find here and all ok with the cache.
TFTC.

What a beautiful part of the city. Should have walked these tracks a long time ago. Nice hide TFTC BH
Never saw a stump with a smile cut into it but did manage to find the correct one relative to the cache. Managed without any gps device.
Vor dem Nachtessen noch eine Geocacherfitnessrunde absolviert. Hügel rauf, Abkürzung durch Trampelwege durch unbekannten Wald. Abenteuerluch und wunderschön! Alle fünf Büxen gut gefunden!

Out to grab a few handy caches while in Dunedin. Wandered down the road after grabbing The Odd One Out to see if I could find this one too.
Turned out to be a quick find and signing with the company of a very friendly fantail which seemed to be very interested in what I was doing and even posed for a pic. Or was he more interested in the bugs I was disturbing?
I hope the magnetically attractive bit referred to in the hint no longer applies as I did not need to do anything like that.
Thanks for the placement.

After the Pi Day event, I decided to go on one of my solo walking blitzes around Mornington. First stop, Jubilee Park to pick up some caches I'd left when I did my last puzzle run. The tree cover didn't help my GPSr, though thinking about things logically did help me come up with the goods, and fairly quickly at that. Cheers!
This was my last find of a streak of five in the area so was pretty pleased to get this and make it five out of five today!!! Actually a lot easier than I thought and was in and out within a few mins! Never really been around this area so quite cool to have a bit of an explore while I was there! TFTC!
Plus...this was my 50th find so pretty happy!

Not sure why grumpy- it wasn't and we weren't. Must be one of the easier ones belonging to this particular CO, usually known for his evil caches.
Went to mitre10 to buy what i needed then headed here - thanks for the cool hide
I looks like there has been a bit of "clearing" around the site, but the cache is intact. Nothing I had was attractive enough but I managed without getting rough. Thanks.
This one was logged as a 'run and grab' on a small afternoon run during pur stay here in Dunedin. The cache was not quite as spectacular as expected from description and previous logs, but still quite ok and we got a little exercise too

Extracting the log is the hard part of this cache, but got there in the end. Thanks for the cache
Extracting the container was easy, extracting the logbook wasn't. But managed to retrieve with some tools. TFTC
Just about assed over doing this one. Amazingly tame fantail (piwakawaka) here. GPS a bit off and ended up at a smaller stump on another path. Looked like I wasn't the first to make that mistake. TFTC
Had no problem to get the log out of the cache;) and finding it was even easier!

Find #110 on a road-trip from Blenheim to Dunedin, through St Arnauds, Hamner Springs, Aoraki/ Mount Cook, and Christchurch. This cache certainly made me grumpy! The log was firmly wedged in the cache, and wasn’t coming out. I spent a good ten minutes shaking, thrashing, poking and cursing the cache, without getting a logbook out. I stopped, gave the cache a bit of a ‘pep talk’, “If you don’t open, I’ll [Insert horrible actions that can be applied to close Family/Friends/Co-workers etc here]”. Nothing worked. Then, as I was sitting down, head in hands, the log fell out of the cache. $#$%%@, <^?@$#^&. &^*&%) @$@$%$ %^#%. #!# @$^%& #%*@! #@$$% #??< >&^. Then, to minimise imminent damage to the cache and my temper, I signed the log and left. TFTC
GPS was not too bad for this one. But I walked allover the place looking for stumps. TFTC #692
GPS pretty useless in the trees, but area muggle-free in the evenings. 3rd find of 4 for our evening ramble from the in-laws house. TFTC
A second adventure near Jubilee Park, following on from 'The Odd One Out'. TFTC.
Nice one, shame my keys didn't do the trick so had to push it up.
I used the last line of the log book. There is room on the back pages for a couple of others to sign.

TFTC. 2nd of 4 finds and a DNF during my lunch break today. Had a quick hunt for this not too long ago without any luck, not sure how I overlooked it now. What I found doesn't quite match up with the hints though.
Found with PC Sniff. I identified GZ first but it was he who spotted the actual cache. Thanks for a lovely morning spent walking the tracks.
After a short while zeroing in on GZ finally spied this one. Looking for a stump with a smiley face had me fooled for quite a while first [:-)] . Thanks for the cache.
Day 16 of 31 TICK. Nice quick find for me this morning after dropping daughter at school, convenient park, out of car, down the track and there it is in my hand and off to work. The log book is a little damp, just getting fuller, only a couple of pages left now. TFTC
I originally found this as part of the dakotacats team but I have my own username now so I am re-logging as whiskasnz. TFTC
13/Aug/2013 : This was a quick find for us but we got muggled by an elderly dog walking muggle. Quick thinking was required and she bought our "botany study" excuse hook line and sinker! Cheers for this cache stegan.
