I used to travel down the old SH1 quite a lot before the new road so it's quite nice to be caching along the old route. TFTC.
After the debacle last Friday evening when I got caught in a hurricane trying to find these Horotiu expressway caches, I’m pleased to say that everything went smoothly tonight. TFTC!
#305. Parked at Bike Park and went for a walk. to get a few of these. This northern entry to The Tron is one very busy place so careful out there. Quick locate. Tftc.
Easy find on the home from biking the river trail and
the new bridge over the Waikato river at Ngaruawahia
A very impressive bridge.

Love these concrete add-ons to the centre of the round abouts. Nice area to park the car (hope that was legal) and do a quick wandering to the cache. It's a public holiday, almost no traffic anywhere, and I guess cops have to have a day off too!
Early morning cache trip for me today (5am) - with the hope that there wouldn't be too many cars around as I went to pick these up. I was wrong. But as I'm also not usually awake at 2am to come back and try then, I perservered ahead.
Continued my walk around the intersection, this one feeling like I was spotlighted. There were fake flowers here - I didn't know if they were a clue, or if someone had died hitting the barrier... Wait - I'm standing here - does that make me a target?

On a mission today to find 120 + as a team of 4. All logs signed Naki 4
Team is Blenheim Bear Thatsneat Tmninjaturtle and 2 Bulbars.
It was a fun filled day finding many sorts of different caches and visiting many interesting places.
Many thanks to all who placed these caches to help make it such an enjoyable day
Found this with the team "Naki 4" (Blenheim Bear, 2Bulbars, TMNinjaTurtle and myself) on our mission from Huntly to Hamilton on our hunt to 120. Was a long day but pleased to have it completed! Thank you for the cache.
A quick grab, strong magnets, no worries about this falling!

Found this cache during the Naki 4 team (Blenheim Bear, 2Bulbars, Teenage Mutant NinjaTurtle and That’s Neat) run on the 120 caches in one day on the 3rd Oct. Many thanks Mission accomplished, this one is a wrap. TFTC! Blenheim Bear
This log posted with CacheSense for Android!
Out for a night cache & this was the third of 8 that we got under the cover of darkness! Yet another nice quick easy find. SL. TFTC!
Time to head south and pick up a few caches while getting a bit of exercise riding my new bike.
Had lunch at the establishment where an event was held a month ago, very nice and then headed back along the Trail to this one.
Cheers for the cache.

Another rest stop, with pack on GZ. Searching for the 'whatever' in side of my wee pack with one hand, whilst the other was doing a sneaky little retrieval
The mission today was Kiwi Art Project, NZ series (revisit), and any individual caches in the area
The team was great (and large), Agazo, Hinemoana, (great to meet you both), Eir-ot, keylev, NZTravellers, and UncleSamNZ. totalling 8 sets of eyes, bodies, and minds, and two cars.
Signing logs as TAS (SATurday) to save space on the log sheets.
Parked near No#3 and walked back to this one... luckily it wasn't too busy traffic wise, as this could be a little hairy for the junior cachers to get...

On a mission with Keylev, NZTravellers, Stik-a-crane, Eir-ot, Hinemoana & Agazo. We did both “Kiwi Art Project” and “NZ Icons”, and a few random traditional’s on the way.
Was a great day out. Left Auckland just before 8am and got back just after 8pm. We got almost 150 caches in the day….had a great time doing it. I think I got Sun burnt over my sun burn from yesterday.

A group of 8 of us set out today to find all the NZ and Kiwi Art series that had been solved a while back. It was a great day and we covered many km's whilst exploring the Waikato outback.
After finishing a little earlier than planned we stopped for some caches along our way home.
Thanks for the cache.

Our team parked here at the side of the road. Or should I say, on the sidewalk and quite near the guardrail. I learned that curbs (kerbs) are just guidelines, not barriers. After all of this, the cache find was quite tame. TFTC.
On a lovely Waitangi Weekend a few of us planned an epic Waikato trip to complete two puzzle series and a few trads along the way. Team TAS was formed for the day – Stik-a-crane, Keylev, UncleSamNZ, Hinemoana, Agazo, Eri-ot and NZTravellers. We drove over 500km over a 12 hour day and had a blast! Between bugs, shrubbery, thorny blackberry bushes and a close encounter with an electric fence we cached our hearts out! Stopped at Gordonton for a well earned icecream and headed home again, tired and happy!
Thanks to team TAS for an awesome day out and TFTC

Teamed up with amazing crazy cachers for a fun filled day in the Waikato! Our main aims involved the kiwi icons and art - very appropriate weekend to be having fun with these [^] Additionally for me, this year I will celebrate 20 years in New Zealand, so plenty of time to get familiar with the topics covered - still plenty to learn also. We also found some cool trads, both on the way and once we finished the trails with time to cache some more. Team TAS had a ball, thank you heaps!!!

My second day on a cache run to Taranaki together with Slieschke. Today the goal was to explore the Forgotten World Highway and to make our way back to Auckland. We decided to take a longer break in Hamilton to help celebrating its 150th birthday with fireworks and a Time Warp. As it was ~1am the parking wasn’t too dangerous. TFTC
Found caching with alpenmilch80 on day #3 of a 3 day road trip to the Taranaki.
Being almost midnight made grabbing this much easier.
Thanks!

Another nice quick find while walking past as easier to park down a wee side road for this country bum
Theres a theme to the caches in this area, so it was a quick find. #3 will have to wait for another day, as contractors are working in the area.
I can confirm that the cache is in great order and ready for the next cacher
Happy hunting

Out and about with Gap (of Fap and Gap). We planned on a big round up of caches around Te Rapa... so we started off early. It rained as soon as we arrived in Hamilton, and never let up. I got so wet, I had to ask Gap to visit a second hand shop to get a warm, dry coat... All part of the adventure we had today.
A big looping drive to pick up a few more WP (Waikato Progress) caches. Gap expertly manoeuvred in and out of locations to retrieve caches. He brought his high-viz. jacket, but didn't need to look that official with all the rain. TFTC.

It's a great feeling knocking one if these buggers off. One less to worry about every time I drive past here.
Have to admit to being worried about the parking situation for this one. Tried for a quick grab but that didn't happen, nearly gave up but one last look had the cache in hand. Not sure there is a safe way to park and get to this one anymore.

Progress cache three from one parking spot. Good pavements for the pedestrians. Don't know why they would be expecting any around here. Great series.

11.20am. Left the car before the first one and walked along the paths and roads for the four here.
All well at this one.
Thank you. David.

To celebrate the fact we've lost an hour of light to cache in, Becsicasa and I decided to get a few caches. TFTC
Z-NZ and I thought it was time we got a few more around Hamilton.
#4 for the night.

Hard for a gal to get into that one without breaking a nail ! Must be frustrating for the workers to see whole sections of roads finished but not able to drive on them yet! TFTC.
Getting better at wrenching these progress caches from their hidey-holes; those magnets are something else! TFTc
Driven past here a couple of times.
Had a bit more time today.
Would be great to see all this finished.

Finally got around to doing this cache. Seems this area is busy regardless of the time.
After finding a safe spot to park Davycrockpot and I walked between the 3 caches - as we were heading back we saw some other cachers stop to find this cache...hello!
Easy find after golf. Had a little trouble with the log. Will be so pleased to see this part completed. Thanks
very much Cats&Dragons

Same problem here as the panda will return to sign log with a tool to remove the cache from its curvy cover. strongest magnets I have dealt with in a while. TFTC
Now this is a different story. Second of the group we found but despite our best efforts were unable to remove the container from the hiding spot. So unable to sign the log but definitely found the cache so will log as a find and some other time when someone else has been able to loosen it from its grasp on the curvy thing I will return and sign the log. TFTC
9066 Easy find, but took ages before we could extract the cache from it's hide, TFTC.
I love a good drive-by. Where did you get those magnets? They work well! Almost too well. Thanks.
It was well after midnight when we looked for the Waikato Progress caches, and the number of trucks on this stretch of road was astounding. This cache was stuck fast, and took a while to extract - gave up waiting for the stream of trucks to stop. TFTC.

Waikato caches are progressing nicely, almost enough for a re-visit next weekend maybe?

Second of the three caches I found - was a nice evening park and walk! I drive through here every day on my commute to work in Auckland, but there's usually way too much traffic to stop. But I now know, 7pm on a Friday evening is a great time to carefully park and cache! TFTC!
Again we found safe parking and this time an uneventful find Late in the evening TFTC.
Had to go out and try the new GPS (Etrex 10). Worked great, easy find once it got me to the right location
