We hadn't done any caching for a while and this was a beautiful summer's day in which to make up for that. A trip over to Devonport was planned with it's picturesque vistas and lovely surrounding buildings and houses. This also meant a good walk around to gather some of the caches that were on offer.
Had a good look around here but noticed the time and decided that we had better get a move on if we were to get around a few more caches. We will be back another day though.

Clever hint and clever hide. Was not expecting that when I approached the gz. TFTC.
Find 11 of 23 after getting off the red eye from Perth and hiring bikes for a ride around Devonport. Three DNFs along the way.
Spoiler photo led us to the hide.

We are staying in Devonport for a family wedding having traveled from the UK so thought it wise to gain some points towards this months challenge. We went round the navy museum and then strolled in the sun along the front picking up the available caches. Found this one straightaway and replaced Quickly before being seen. TB visit TFTC
Having left Australia yesterday we arrived in Auckland this morning too early to get into our hotel room so we started off with breakfast in a café just off Queens Street before getting on the Explorer Hop on Hop off Red Bus route. After doing the circuit and making a couple of stops we then used the ticket to take the Ferry to Devonport for some lunch and to for a stroll about.
This cache was in full view, if you deem to look, but I guess no-one takes any notice of it as it just seems to 'fit in' Easy to retrieve sign and replace. Thank you for our first cache find in New Zealand.

What a joy to wake to a gloriously sunny day on my day off! Decided to keep things local today and headed down to nearby Devonport to pick up a few more needed in the area. After picking up a handful of caches right at the end of the peninsula, I stopped in the village for a late lunch/early dinner of fish and chips in the park.
I'm a fan of even numbers, so realising I needed one more to reach 210, I came across to this cache nearby. Muggles a-plenty at GZ, if they weren't inbound from the left, it was the right...or across the road...or in cars passing by. I didn't have anywhere to be, so took a seat to pass the time and wait for my window of opportunity. Great find TFTC

Headed off south today on a mission to fill in the twelve remaining blank spaces in my "placed dates" grid as well as a couple in the D/T grid and to collect as many as possible of the challenge caches that I have qualified for as well.
I had thirty on the list to try and find between Silverdale and Drury and hoped to knock them off in around eight hours, before heading home. What I hadn't factored in though, was just how fast (???), or slow (!!) the long Auckland parking lots would be.
After attending the WENZ catch-up event, and a couple of others, I carried on to this one. However, real parking where you are allowed to stop, was at a premium and I had to stop quite a distance along the road and walk back for this one. Luckily I took the poets approach and made a very quick find.
Signed the log and then replaced safe and secure ready for the next finder. Three missing dates down, nine to go. Now to fight the traffic over to Glenfield. TFTC

Like others have mentioned, if you see something and think. That's interesting! There in lies the cache. TFTC
As soon as we got to GZ, I asked michaelteacher whether an item of interest could be the cache. He inspected it and told me it wasn't, obviously not looking closely enough! Haha definitely pays to be thorough... Tftc
This was an easy find, but it took us a lot longer than it should have. Hayleyfcy spotted something and asked if it was it. I gave it a bit of a look and decided it wasn't. Only after exhausting all other options did I give the first thing a closer look. Sure enough... That's happened a few times today.
Nice stroll along the front on a lovely Sunday morning. Nice easy find tho still don't get the clue.
After a couple of days of rain and lots of snacking we decided some fresh air and a stretch of the legs was needed today. The weather wasnt really conducive to lots of lovely caching but it did keep the muggle count down during our hunting! Was joined by Keylev, Cragger, Hellobird1e and Laval today so signed the logs as SEAC 6 today as there were 6 in our mad caching party. Had loads of laughs and got horribly wet, but nothing a hot shower, dry clothes and dinner wouldn't fix later on!
This was our first cache of the day and MrNZT made the find here. TFTC!

We were in Auckland for the day and decided to take the Ferry across to Devonport to geocache. We left the ship at 7:30AM and were able to start geocaching around 8:30AM.
We walked around this beautiful city all day and managed to find 22 caches there, with only 3 DNFs. We then took the Ferry back to Auckland and did three more caches there. Great Day!!! Two Great Cities!!!
Thank you to each of the CO’s for your efforts and for your caches.

Good to be back in Auckland caching again. This was a quick find. Interesting bit of history. Thanks CO for placing it.
A nice quick find and a welcome seat to rest from the heat The log book is full, TFTC!
We arrived in Devonport a little earlier than needed to catch the ferry to Rangitoto, so obviously we did a little caching to pass the time! This one was a very easy find and we were able to sign the log book without difficulty. SL. TFTC.

A quick find and nice location. Log was full, so couldn’t write anything down. Tftc
For some reason my pen would not write on the log sheet, so I took a picture of the cache. Thank you for showing us this charming home.
Easily found with Mother&Son on our walk through Devenport. Many greetings from Germany and TFTC
Out first Cache in New Zealand. And it will stay our most Northern Found. Thank you for the cache!
Another well written cache listing, thanks for bringing us here and the placement.
Found with smoke69 while on our three week adventure and honeymoon from Seattle to Portland, Los Angles, Hawaii, Fiji, New Zealand, and Australia then home. Many miles and adventures along the way. Loved all the different caches and meeting new friends along the way while we traveled meeting other geocachers as well.

Interesting place to bring us. Loved the old house and its garden near GZ. Thanks G-2.
Since giving a fig it was on a couple of 100m to this cache. A bit damp here but soon found the cache after a little bit of back and forth with the GPSr. Having found the cache took a seat across the road to do the paperwork then waited for some passing muggles so the cache could be returned to its spot.
Thanks again G-2.
Thanks again G-2.
Decided to make the most of the weather today and took the ferry over in order to get some Devonport caches.lovely view.thanks for the hide.
I don't think I have read any of ARD Fairburn's works, but we still enjoyed coming here to take a look at this historical spot and the pretty house up the path. Lovely gardens and beautifully maintained home. While we were there the heavens briefly opened, giving us an impromptu cold shower. One we took the time to read the description thoroughly we knew what to do and were able to locate the little beggar. Devonport is a muggly sort of place, even in midwinter and while we had the cache in hand a group of segway riders came past so we had to wait for them to clear.
What is the collective noun for a group of segway riders? A pretension of segway riders? While pondering such things they moved on and we could put the cache back. Thanks for bringing us to this historical spot.

I had a few hours to spare before I had to head to the airport and home so I decided to head over the bridge and do some caching in and around Devonport. The forecast wasn't great but the weather was actually very pleasant and the rain held off until after I was all done for the day. Nice one! Another interesting and historical spot - and a cache. TFTC, Biggles.
The family arrived in NZ Wednesday to stay for one year, and after fighting off the jet lag and getting the necessities from the supermarket, is is time for the neighborhood walk
Hmm. My pen was not entirely prepared for the waterproof - penproof? - paper used in more of the caches today... I hope the signatures stays. I/we signed as SHendseth, SH++ or also with the childrens nicks; [Vic07](https://coord.info/TB5MXTH), [Gulla04](https://coord.info/TB5QWVN), [SikoSako](https://coord.info/TB5MHGX) depending on log space. The children does not log on net (yet?) but is represented by coins I dip into a subset of the caches we visit.
Thanks very much for this great hide.
Tftc!
Enjoyed a nice brunch in Devonport with liketips and TheMexican before grabbing a few wet and windy caches here today.
Pretty obvious where to look but still took a bit of looking. Eventually had the cache in hand and we were off to the next. TFTC

Thought I'd head out to Devonport for the afternoon with evilno9 and TheMexican to find some caches in spite of the rain. We had some trouble with the modern poetry - we just couldn't get the right line - but eventually TheMexican's sharp eyes solved it for us. NIce hide, TFTC
Was out this way tonight so had a quick look to see if there was a cache nearby and 'wouldn't you know it' there was one not 1 minute from where I was parked. Walked over to GZ and was pretty quick to find. Must be getting better at this. Tftc
Just returned from my holiday and catching up on the logs from my fantastic trip. A pristine day to check out the shops and caches of Devonport. Was thankful for a nearby bench to sit and contemplate where I might find a cache around here. Signed log. Thanks
Out to grab a couple of caches down Devonport way, this was a nice quick find. Nice walking along the waterfront here, cheers
Premier jour en New zelande.

Another great view point in a country of spectacular scenery. Thanks for the literary lesson.
And so woz The Cretan Runners! We would like to live in this street but it's probably outside of our travel budget. TFTC.
Easy find. Love these old style homes. Had more problem fiddling with log than the find. Lol. Off we go to next.
Danke für's Herführen und das Zeigen dieser netten Adresse, auch wenn uns der Autor nicht bekannt ist.
