Found the stump had a good search around looking for log in bag as per previous comments of cache being containerless going by the unnatural amount of piled branches etc and lack of rubbish it appears the area has been cleaned up recently
Wow what a nice big area this park in. A nice short stroll from the carpark to get this one. Signed the log and tucked back as i found. Log signed b&p. Find number 4269.
Thanks for the cache Taupotiger.
Thanks for the cache Taupotiger.
2949 Down for the "Have a go day" tomorrow where you can pay $10 and have 3 laps of the short race track as a swinger on a swinger on a racing sidecar. Decided to come a day early so I could collect specific caches in a specific order to satisfy criteria for cache GC3EPMQ 100/100 Challenge. This was the fourth.
Parked the motorhome at Huka Falls carpark and jumped on my bike but had to walk it along the track from the falls. Spotted the "hide". It was only the log in the plastic bag. Signed and returned to where it was.

Found and signed the log, but that and a small plastic bag are all that remains of this one.

We found the logbook and a very small plastic bag lying on the ground, a container was missing. We put it under a big tree stump. Cache needs some attention from the ownder. Thanks, NMDA

This was an easy find during my early afternoon walk in the Spa Park. Thank you and greetings from the Czech Republic.
Quiet busy here today ...but nobody paying attention to the trees ....this was a nice easy find and sign ...thanks Abbsters for agreat placement in a wonderful place ....I have never been here before so it was a new and interesting place ...I must come back when time permits to have a good look around
Tftc. A nice easy find here by one of the junior scoobydoos. Enjoyed playing on the flying fox nearby too.
This park is really cool and the hot pool is a great place to swim on a day like today(overcast). Not in the stump we originally thought it was but after we looked again we found it. Tftc
Back in taupo again as we head north to auckland, as we found no cache here last time we werein town, we checked to see if the CO had been logged in but hadn't been for awhile so we have replaced the container and the log in the exact spot it should be ,so all is good to go again.
What you are looking for is a mint container.

Think we had the right stump based on closest to gps coordinates. What I think could have been hiding the cache was laying near. May have been muggeled.
My daughter Abby and I thought this was meant to be. Had a reasonable look around but no luck....
At World’s End – New Zealand – One of our dream become true.
Our plan was to stay 4 weeks in New Zealand. But this wasn’t this easy to manage at work. So we moved spontanic the plan from march to november. We informed us before about point of interessts. The list was this long so we decided to go by campervan from the north to the south to have the most mobility. We arrived after way to much hours in Auckland and started there our round trip. At first we enjoyed the area in auckland and the north. In Waitomo we were able to see and enjoy glohworms in one of the famous caves. But this area had a lot of nice hiking trails were we could discovered the Piripiri Caves, Natural Bridge and the Marokopa Falls. This was already impressive to see and still the beginning of our adventure for life. The trip went on over Okere Falls Scenic Reserve direction Rotorua. In this area we enjoyed each hour, because each corner was different. We visited the Haumurana Springs – what amazing water -, Blue Lake and Green Lake and relaxed in Kerosene Creek. We liked all the water and in our travel guide we found a hike cloth to the Huka Falls, which ofcourse we did as well. All this flowers were bloom. One oft the Highlights was Wai-O-Tapu. The weather was perfect and all this colors awesome and the geysir a nice shower. By Campercan the to tour went on direction Tongariro Alpine with a short stop at Orakei Korako and the Tongariro River Loop Track. Lu like nice hiking tours and what could be the best for her birthday? Of course the famous Tongariro Alpine Crossing. We started early in the morning and walked approximately 9 hours over gras, stones, snow and colorful water. Now we had to leave the Heart of North New Zealand and went over Taranaki Falls to the East Coast with the goal Napier. The weather was cloudy and often raining but a small sightseeing was a must have. The last stop on the North Irland was Wellington. But it was only raining and some streets were already flooded. That’s why we change spontanic our plan and only did the First Cache of New Zealand and went by ship over the Marlboro Sound to Picton. We went over Farewell Spit to the lonely Wharariki Beach with sea lions. On the way back to the big streets we stopped at Waikoropupu Spring and Janie Sesson Shipwreck and drove untypical to Karamea. In Germany we do not have this much and public caves and that’s way we enjoyed this area! Cloth to the West Coast we took a look at the Pancake Rocks. The weather was just raining and so we could not see the Franz Josef and Fox Glacier, but we still visited them. We leaved the bad weather in the hills and enjoyed the Sun at Ship Creek, Thunder Creek, Fantail Falls and the Blue Pools. Wow they were relly blue and this clean and deep. I never saw something similar before. About Wanaka we read a lot in our travel guide and looked forward to it. There arrived we visited the Puzzling World and walked around the sea. Queenstown the next town we drove just through because at this time there was a marathon and it was really campervan unfriendly. So we used the time and drove to Milford Sound and enjoyed the hills surround us on the water. I never felt this small. After we are landed again on land the trip goes on to the Chasm and Clifden Caves and the Clifden Suspension Bridge. Wow what an adventure. At the end we visited a few cities like Bluff, Duneding, Moeraki Boulders and Christchurch were our Trip sadly ends.
At all this places we looked for nice and unique caches which shows us places which we never would had seen without. We enjoyed the nature and wildlife each day and it was really an adventure for life. At the end we drove approximately 5000 kilometeres and felt this relaxed.
Thanks to all owners for placing this caches and this much informations which we got about the particular areas. This was an adventure for life for us. Thanks for this beauty time.

Walking up to Huka Falls today and grabbed on our way. On holiday from the UK and loving it. TFTC.
TFTC LOVELY STROLL THROUGH THIS PARK , never been here before . Nice easy find thanks
I took the wander around the Spa Thermal Park today
Guided by caches,
this was a great cross country stroll,
past the playground and into the trees.
Where a quick cache find was mine !!
I do love NZ playgrounds [:X]
They are still full of all those bit of olde playground things that I grew up with [^]
Like flying foxes with gravel, not pinebark, under them to catch you if you fall off
Or those swinging wooden planks which eight kids could sit on and risk getting fingers,
arm, legs, feet etc crushed as the board swung higher and higher
(Any kid who wandered past without looking could be knocked half way across the playground if hit by the swinging board full of kids)
Keep up the good work NZ,
don't become a nanny state !!
Like Australia has

A steep ascent up from the road below to GZ. Cache quickly found in the place described in the hint. TFTC!
Bertie Blowfish, Aiden29 and I were staying a night in Taupo after attending the Mega and we had some time to spare so we decided to go for a walk through this lovely park. No trouble with the find here, signed as BAM
Stopped over in Taupo for the night, on our way home from the Turangi Mega. With Merlot58 & Aidan29.
We came for a stroll in the evening, and were so pleased to have found this beautiful park. What a great outdoor area, for everyone: kids, families, dogs. Merlot made a quick find. Tftc

On our way home after the MEGA, we stopped by here to collect the cache. This park is amazing. Thanks for bringing us here.
Thanks Abby and Grandad. Great idea. Had a nice wander in the park.
Here for the nzmega. Beautiful day for a spot of geocaching, perfect weekend really.

On the way down to the Mega, Philip.Perry and I left early morning and cached our way down to Turangi.
We had plenty of time to get there, so while in Taupo we decided that we should turn our map of Taupo into as many smiley faces as we could.
This was one Philip targeted to find and it brought me to another nice area that I hadnt previously discovered. I love finding new places.
Thanks for bringing me here.

On my way to the turangi mega - aiming for 50 caches today. This was find nr 24.
What a nice quiet and spacious park. Great hide. Tftc

This was one of over 60 stops 'Team B.O.P.' would make on the way down to the 2016 NZ MEGA in Turangi. TNXPro and myself have teamed up again with plans to meet Davidsonclan later on. This cache was found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords, a good hint and a straight forward hide. A good park and grab, cheers Abbsters - TFTC

Nice quick walk from the car park, needed a few easy ones to break me in for the day. Unfortunately the listed TB is missing. TFTC
Came down from Auckland for the afternoon, placed a cache for the Mega then came here to have a look-see. The warmer weather has finally started, very pleasant walk from the car park and the previous finder did a good job of re-hiding the cache.
It was out in the open so we placed it back in a hiding spot near what we think is where it was hidden
Magic afternoon walking around the park. Heaps of people around but very well placed cache allowed easy access without being spotted. In: TB Out: TB. TFTC
Quick and easy find! Nice hiding spot! Amy knew where it would be from a distance. No TB as it suggests.. Tftc!!
A quick find while we killed time before I complete the bungy around the corner!!
Pretty spot. Never fails to be said... Lived here a while but never been here! Thx for getting me outside today . Took TB, ( only one was here) left small turtle stone.
We came here to run our two older boys around while my wife fed our youngest. We parked in totally the wrong place but got there in the end. My phone and GPS actually died about 20m from GZ but I had already read the hint and didn't have any problems locating the cache. I dropped off a TB I collected in Palmeston North a couple of weeks ago. After visiting this spot my boys grabbed their Scooters and enjoyed zipping around the concrete bowl next to the playground. TFTC.
#2465. We are on a northern road trip and spent the night in Taupo. Arrived here late in the morning. A busy place with various races going on (central region cross-country championships). Anyway we wandered across to the GZ avoiding the runners and made a quick find of the hiding spot and the cache. All was dry inside. Signed the logbook and returned cache as found. Thanks for showing us this park.
Stopped to find while taking my dog for in the park. She is being very patient with my walking around in small circles! TFTC
In Taupo for the weekend and popped down to Spa Park with the kids to pick up a few geocaches. Found while we were waiting for our turn on the flying fox, TFTC
We're visiting from Florida, USA. That was great fun. Thanks for placing the cache.
A lovely cycle ride to the Huka Falls and a quick cache on the way. TFTC
Back at the car park after the walk to the falls and this was a nice quick hide. I then had to have a go on the nearby zipline despite being slightly over the weight restriction. It was great fun.
