It was Saturday morning and what better way to spend it but to find a few Barossa caches and others along the way.We headed out with our good friends Phetlern and we were lucky with the weather this morning. The roads were good and very quiet. Thanks to nappyTomCats for this hide.
Get some caches in the Barossa on the way home after doing a bit of shopping in Elizabeth. Manage to put up with the showery weather and was also very cold. TFTC
Now that the bike series was completed we continued onto the Barossa series. LB bid us a fond farewell at Swan Reach so now the convoy consisted of feathertop, GoodLook,Rapidlywild, TheDame and The Drovers. All puzzles were solved awhile before the journey as we were looking at doing them at SA mega time but decided wait until now. All caches were signed as The Mob and all were also found without any issues. The trail was a little all over the place but we got that sorted soon enough. While in the area we thought we couldn't not find this one as well. No issues with the hide. Thanks for the hide SnappyTomCats and thanks for a fun adventure Rapidlywild.
Plans have been in place for a little while now about a convoy from the Canberra Mega to head over to SA and finish off what currently stands of the On Your Bike series. Today being day 4 of the trip away, todays convoy consisted of GoodLook, TheDame, feathertop, The Drovers, FurfacesLL and myself.Today's primary target was the Barossa Grapes series of caches. Having them all solved not long after they were released, I managed to score 2 FTF's on this series with friends as I was in SA at the time. I was keen to return and finish these off, so we made sure it was part of the SA invasion plan. All caches were found and stamped as "The Mob" consisting of the above mentioned teams. We enjoyed the day using a range of TOTT's across multiple kinds of hides.A nice quick find whilst in the area, no issues with the find here. Thanks for the cache placement and maintenance SnappyTomCats and thanks FurfacesLL for another fun trip away
It was Day 3 and our large group of cachers known collectively as The Mob were ready to tackle the Barossa caches. Members included The Drovers, Rapidlywild, Lib, Goodlook, FurfacesLL The Dame and myself.Logs signed as The Mob. A few older trads in amongst the grapes.Cheers
Out caching with Jamesta18 today, our third cache for the day What a beautiful day, 25 sunny , great weather for adventuring around some dirt roads TFTC
Having had lunch we were feed and watered and set for an afternoons caching in the heat of the Barossa region. This was one of many in this stint in this great area. All good here and thanks to the CO who made this possible.TFTC #9063
Getting the odd traditional cache while out on the Barossa Grape mystery cache trail. This was one of them.TFTC
Late last night fitzy_1965 and I were trying to work out our plan F or G or goodness know where we were up to. We eventually decided on the Barossa series as we had solved all the puzzles before heading over for the Mega.We were surprised that we didn't come across any other cachers today. All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned. The day was ended with a campsite in Nuriootpa so that we could finish the trail in the morning.
34,359. Found with minniek during our trip to The Great Leap Forward Mega Event in Adelaide on 29th February 2024.Day 5 : After staying overnight at minniek's cousin's place again, we chose Plan H to fill in the rest of our time over here. This means attempting to do the Barossa Grapevine GeoArt series which we had pre-solved before this trip, plus a few bonus caches along the way. We had a lot of fun doing this series, many different types of hides, some challenging tree climbs, ladder climbs, fishing pole caches, all while enjoying the drive around the wine region. All caches were found without issue unless stated. This one was one of the bonus caches along the way, and was a quick find once we were at GZ. Stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one. Thanks SnappyTomCats !!
Out and about after the One day Mega and an early morning event we are heading up to the Barossa for a day of adventure in the geoarts.Caching with and signing as the group 'QANVT' and having a great day.TFTCache Grandeeze (Mrs)

This was one of those. to save space in the logs we signed as QANVT being the acronym of the states and territories represented. Thank you for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Happy New Year 20121.5/1.5 Small Traditional Cache Flew in from Alice Springs. Back in Adelaide after 14 years. Here specifically for The Great Leap Forward Mega and catching up with awesome Qld caching friends and revisiting Adelaide where we lived for 16 beautiful years! Pity I only started caching in 2015.Had a wonderful time reminiscing and admiring wonderful changes in the State, meeting friendly cachers and helpful COs and finding quality caches, high D/Ts, oldies, geoart etc.Signed Team QANVT - cachers from Qld, ACT, NT, NSW, Vic and Tas - to save writing all 30+ caching names.Thank you for the cache SnappyTomCats.
Adelaide day two: Teamed up with RoamingHowie, Papi4506 & Geoturtle37 to tackle a bunch of grapes and assorted others along the way. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, SnappyTomCats ??~????????~
RoamingHowie, OzHockeyChick, Geoturtle37 and myself set off today to find some high scoring favourites with the Barossa Trail as our main target for the day.We have finally arrived only to find that there are so many vehicles around and the dust is stifling. We chose to move on and start further into the trail which proved to work well as we only met a few other teams. GT37 can't drive and leave a lonely cache so we picked up a few strays as well. Thanks for placing this cache for us to find.
Day #10 Leaping Forward AdventuresAnd just like that leap day is done and dusted! As the next 4 years begin, its time to head out to the Barossa with OzHockeyChick, GeoTurtle37 and Papi4506.Another side tracked cache in between grape picking. Thanks SnappyTomCats for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. ----------------------------------------------------------The Ballarat GeoTour ends on 4 March 2024! Be sure to find all the caches and earn the souvenir before the tour is archived. The [Farewell Ballarat GeoTour Event - GCAFQ8B](https://coord.info/GCAFQ8B) is on 18 February 2024.Looking for caches to find when visiting Victoria? Why not check out the geocaching lists available on the [Geocaching Victoria Website](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/information/great-caching-lists/). There are plenty to choose from including all of the previous nominees and winners of the Victorian Cache of the Year Awards.
Caching as team SPBINZ: Sidewaze, Paddlechick, Bullertrout, IsisNZ and Nanzie. This trip has been a "game of three thirds" for us. First we visited the Yorke Peninsula, staying at Wallaroo and then at Port Vincent. Then it was a couple of nights in the city, attending the Mega and looking to get the maximum number of cache types we could, a couple of hidden months for members of the team and lots of caches that crossed our paths. Now we're off to tour the Barossa Valley, visit a few trails, find lots of caches and generally have a good look around. One of our missions will be to put that bunch of grapes back together. No-one is really into wine-tasting, well put it this way, we'd all rather be geocaching, so geocaching it is ??, though I'm very pleased to say geocaching took us to several beautiful wineries.I do get a bit side-tracked when I'm caching and take time to enjoy the local flora and fauna. The plants are so obviously adapted to life in a dry climate, the birds are colourful and screechy, and the ants - - well, I've never seen such large ants or had such a vicious bite from an insect. There are lots of scenic views too, some of which attract action from my camera but of course many that just form part of the overall experience.Oh, but of course I also take my turn driving and sometimes I'm first out of the car and into the hunt, though I'm probably number 5 on the success stakes when it comes to finding the slightly elusive hides ??.Thanks and Happy New Year to you too .
Found as part of the SPBINZ team (Sidewaze, Paddle Chick, Bullertrout, IsisNZ, and Nanzie). Now that we have arrived in the Barossa Valley the plan for the rest of the day is to complete as many of the grape geoart as we can. This one popped up along the way - we've all seen a few New Year's since this was placed. TFTC SnappyTomCats and kia ora from Aotearoa/New Zealand # 21,833**Otepoti/Dunedin is the place to be 26-27 October, 2024 for GCA7ZHD - Geo Toroa Mega! Please come and join in the fun, find heaps of caches and experience some wonderful Southern hospitality.**

After a short break, it is off to find a few more caches. We are using the Acronym QANVT to cover participant from all states. And so happily I say that the logs were signed and caches replaced as found on this day, 1st March 2024. TFTC, SnappyTomCats. I loved being out in the bush.

Caching out this way this morning with the QANVT crew. A quick find here, log signed, cache replaced as found. TFTC
We had solved the puzzles in the Barossa series in preparation for our leaping into SA trip.We headed off straight after this mornings event with McLookers, ThePacman, Muzza, Micaparamedic, Moonb1, Alansee and Maccamob to try our luck with this series. You would not call this a power trail but it was a lot of fun and we had laughs all day.We found all we looked for, some took a while but with this many eyes looking they could not stay hidden for ever. There were a few trads along the way and of course we weren't going to go passed them and this was one of them and a nice easy find to boot.To save room in the logs we signed as VIC 1Thanks Mrs Grandeeze for the cache.
TFTC smile 18203 ?? out and about on a lovely day ?? having a great time finding a few caches in Adelaide after the Event Great Leap Forward signing as team QANVT being QLD ACT NSW VIC and TASMANIA what a great team we made and lots of laughter and fun Thank you Grandeeze (Mrs) for placing this cache for our enjoyment ????

So far our journey has found us in Bendigo, St Arnaud, Halls Gap and Mount Gambier, Millicent and Victor Harbor and lots of places in between. Ive targeted some geo art on the way over including the GV2020 and crayfish series, wine glass and wine bottle and challenge series. We are targeting another geo art series today, signing as QANVT which represents Queensland and ACT northern territory, Victoria and Tasmania
Signed as part of QANVTIt was a big drive from Corryong, in the North East of Victoria.I collected a couple of geo caches along the way to fill in some new LGAs. After attending an early morning event in Walkerville I headed out as part of Team QANVT to attack the Barossa Geo Art series. This is the first time Ive completed a piece of art as part of a team, a lot of fun and a great crew of people. Picked up a few additional caches along the wayA big thanks to the cache owner for making this series available to be found.Cheers
After over seven weeks on the road, I'm back home and finally catching up on all my logging.Caching in South Australia was fantastic, so many good hides to find, and we found ourselves zigzagging all over the place doing lots of geoart but of course ran out of time to get everything done on our to-do list. The majority of caches we found were in great condition and well maintained, which is a credit to all the CO's who placed them, so thank you.We signed as the large group called QANVT to save room in the logbooks.Thank you, Grandeeze (Mrs), for this good hide.

I am trying to make the Feb29 Mega in Adelaide my 20,000th find, and that means keeping a close eye on my numbers. So this is just a temporary log to help me keep my numbers accurate. I'll expand on this when I get home.Find # 19944
Travelled to SA from Brisbane for the Leap Day Mega event. Whilst we were around the general area, we decided to make a night of it and booked a motel in Angaston. We teamed up with Low1, GayeNT and JOT105 for this event and gave ourselves the team name of Errant Coyotes. All logs were signed as either our full team name or ECoy where the log was smaller. All caches were found reasonably quickly and replaced as found. Some do need some maintenance. Will call this out where noted.
What a great time our team - Errant Coyotes + BMG had out today caching and team work to make the finds. Happy caching.
2 days of caching the Barossa Grapes. Team Errant Coyotes from NT - low1 & JOT205, QLD - Simber15 & NSW - GayeNT as well as the ever funny Barry from baby & Mrs gopher, ran around like our team name to find the majority of the nearby fun puzzles as well as any others that we happened to pass by.
Thank you for the New Years Wishes, we are not far into 2024 and just visited some special replies at Rosedal Cemetery, thanks for the cache!
Continuing my South Australian adventure, I came to this cache. A quick find was made. With my name added to the log and everything returned as found, I continued on my way. TFTC

All cache sin the series were found. The 6.2 meter ladder got a work out by Allister w and mogni's 3.8 ladder got used as well. The extension poles got used frequently, even some times while on top of the ladder. While doing the geo art all the traditionals we passed where al so found. Cetainly glad all the roads were dry, since we had been worned that these roads get very, very slippery when wet. Then on the way home we got a few more and the 17th most favourited point cache in South Australia. Over 170 caches found for the day.
