I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Hi 1Bumblebee
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

Found after a bit of hunting around. Was out in the open and replaced it where I thought witch would stash something. Tftc! Log is a bit damp though.
We are caching around Wellington today on the last leg of our journey to Mega, concentrating on picking up solved puzzles, but still with time for the occasional field puzzle. Parked nearby and followed the instructions. After checking a couple of possible spots we found that small container and read the names within. It would definitely appear to be a list of witches - certainly not Muggles. Thanks.
Took a few tries to figure out witch way to go, but a few incantations later I had the slimy (not kidding) in hand. Log is still quite damp, but otherwise all is good. TFTC
After a DNF here a couple of years ago it was nice to find myself in the area this afternoon and to come back for another look.
This time the secret of my success was thinking a bit harder about the exact direction I needed to take.
I'm the first visitor to the cache in over a year. It was tucked away nicely in the hint object. The logbook is a bit damp and worse for wear, but still perfectly signable.
Thanks heaps for the cache.

Pretty sure I'm in the right area, but couldn't find it, a sore knee & 4y.o. in tow is not ideal for crawling around.
Found it a couple of years after my DNF - I guess my cache-hunting skills have improved somewhat
More than two years after I first logged a DNF for this cache I finally found it with Jaeh68. I now know how far the distance of 20 broomsticks is. TFTC.
Love the cache description. Easy find, cache was on ground out in the open and quite wet from the wild weekend weather. Thanks for a fun cache.
Nice straight forward find. Dodging the web was simple, witch's hat required more care. Pacing out twenty broomsticks required help from Witchopaedia. Container was out in open; not sure if the dead bird was part of the cache or not but it was doing a good job of guarding GZ. TFTC. +FP for the cool story.
First Geocache ever!! Great story to go with it and cool riddle. Can't wait to find more
Yet another one I forgot to log. Found in August last year with UlmusLynx and Gilgul. TFTC
I have had a look at this puzzle a couple times before but only just clicked this time on what was required to find the cache. So easy once you know! Didn't take long to track down the cache although being in the dark made it a bit harder to pick out the hint object. All in good condition TFTC
Enjoyed the clues and cache of this one though it wasn't easy to find. Time for a cache in trash out here, Selesi said. Ulmuslynx won the search. Made 100% for us today. []
Bitterly cold day so no ankle bitters in playground. After searching a few minutes with Selesi and Gilgul turned up the cache. Liked the description so worth a Fav for that. TFTC
Finally got back to this one after I had to abandon any hope of doing it last time owing to muggles.
All quiet today, though only light drizzle the features were probably damp enough to discourage use of them.
A quick find (just as well as I had limited time as I was on the way to a non-caching related event!), a bit of logic and cacher's instinct and went straight to it.
Unfortunately not much in the way of contents, seems some people may have been grabbing rather than swapping!

A fun little puzzle. Unfortunately I didn't have the kids with me as they would have enjoyed this one.
It took me a while to find the cache, because I think that misidentified the hint.
Thanks.

What a great little playground - hadn't seen some of the fixtures before. Straight forward find. All in good order - nothing slimey but some nicely themed contents.

Brought pattismith jr with me for this one. He thoroughly enjoyed the witches' equipment while I located the cache and then filled a bag with rubbish. Plenty more for future visitors! TFTC - day one of a planned 10-day mystery streak

Last summer the idea was born to visit [Green]'New Zealand'[/Green], together with [url=http://coord.info/PR3NXJG][red]'MimiNemo'[/red][/url]
After some important decisions regarding the beginning of our trip, the flights, the general route and the car were made, the most important question was still unanswered: which caches can we visit during our tour [?]
To get an answer for this topic I was fetching almost every cache from both islands [8)][:X]
[url=http://coord.info/PR3NXJG][red]'MimiNemo'[/red][/url] and I love [Teal]'Geo-Arts'[/Teal]...so we added all these cache series to our wish list
After this decision was made this list was more than 300 puzzle caches long...unsolved puzzle caches
Two weeks before Christmas it was getting time to start solving all these mystery caches
Even with the different language I could find almost every solution
In the case I was not so successful I was contacting some of the CO's...and was always getting help from them...many thanks for this support [:X]
During the following weeks our cache list was growing and growing...meanwhile more than 1000 caches long...too long for a simple bookmark list from GC
Time to get our route and caches in sync...time to save the PQ's to our Garmins...time to start this holiday:
Chapter 16: [red]Wellington[/red]
Yesterday we managed our first geo art: [navy]Zealandia Power Trail[/navy] [:X]
Today the next geo art was the mission of our day: [teal]KiwiGeotrail[/teal]
On our way we could also find some other caches...like this one
I would like to thank all the cache owners for showing us these great places and maintaining all these caches,

#228. A lot of imagination went into this puzzle and cache. I wont ever look at children's playgrounds the same way again. Thanks 1Bumblebee for bringing us here. The witches coven was as slimy and disgusting as others have described. We soon had the cache found however. I gathered up a supermarket bag worth of trash to take home to the wheelybin but there is plenty left for others to get. Our kids really enjoyed the playground. TFTP.
The geokids had a play while I went and followed the secret footsteps. Found the cache easily (even with all the creepy crawlies inside!). TFTC
Passed by today but too many muggles to attempt this one. Another time, Saturday afternoon probably is not a good choice of time but I was in the area for a pre-Christmas do so took the opportunity (excuse!) to check out some local caches.
Took a little bit of searching amongst the rubbish to locate the right hint object and then it was a quick find. TFTC
Cache # 2,005 - I first heard of this secret coven in Johnsonville a few years back, but the manuscripts I saw then seemed incomplete. Something led me to revisit the writings last night, and more information had mysteriously appeared. Arriving at the designated location today, I quickly spotted the discarded hat, and shuddered at the thought of facing a witch who could wear such a thing. The woods seemed to ebb and flow, and the trees took on different shapes - certainly enchanted. Just as the last of my reserves were about to run out, I stumbled upon the bodies of previous adventurers, all who appeared to have perished in the most horrible of ways. Just peeking out from its hiding spot, though, was the prize. I quickly grabbed it and scanned the list of names for those I might know. Amazing how many of the people are in this coven. I, of course, had to join, so put my name down too, which immediately granted me safe passage out again. TFTC!
Nice little puzzle and a quick find. Was caught by CO's dad, 1Grunta on leaving! Nice to meet you TFTC
#670 I didn't get the 'witches hat' reference until afterward. Dah! Not too slimy.
The witches cast a spell on the area today and I was unable to find the treasure.
Visited with Jae68 after the Winter Solstice Event.
Visited with Jae68 after the Winter Solstice Event.
We entered the coven and did the witchy thing, counting as we went. Lo and behold there it lay among the discarded broom bristles and witches wand ends!
This was our third visit here. On the previous two we couldn't dare to enter the coven's lair for the sake of the muggle minglers in the playground. This time all clear. Yay!
Cache in order, log signed, safely re-hidden.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

ok this one had as going as the witch broom must be loner than the one we use today Jr taybee had it in handand sign log Has I got to GZ TFTC
11542… Nice concept, gained entry into the secret lair of Witches, left our mark before any strange creepy crawlies latched onto us, many thanks.
Find 32 of 100 day challenge. Once the enjoyable description lead us to the actual GZ area, the actual cache finding did take some time- and as is so often the case, just as you think about giving up, you look one final place and there it is. Thanks for some fun.
Tftc first cache for sammo75359 and me surprisingly muggle free for a sunny day - spells plus flipping fossil are doing a good job!
1st find ever! thanks 1bumblebee for making this a memorable start to a long career of trudging through wet bushes getting frustrated not being able to find small hidden objects.
That spell is still working I also walked right past the cache and nearly over the edge. I just loved the story with this cache . I'm not the only one Flippin Fossil, the scary bag of bones, would not even get out of the car at the last cache (it was a dog execise area, dog/bones - he has a point ) but the lure of the witches was too much to resist. I'm sure he's feeling right at home with the other inhabitants of here .
A fun twist for the cache. Once at GZ I had no problems following the instructions and came up with the goods. Looks like the witchs are a bit untidy.
Found on a beatifully sunny day. Had the wee-wiggles with me to act as decoys but the area was muggle free which made for an easy grab. TFTC, Cheers!

Whilst Mr Geckoh had opted to finally pull his Mountain Bike out of the van (after carrying it all around the South Island) and ride the balance of the Skyline trail, we were dispatched to the other end to collect him. On route we decided that we should collect this cache as we had solved the puzzle sometime ago but had not been in the area to collect it. Cache a tad exposed at GZ so used a little natural camo to hide it. TFTPC

Trashy witches certainly live in a hovel- spent time moving through plenty of plastic containers on floor until thankfully located the cache in nicer setting TFTC
Those evil witches! They must have put a spell on me, as I managed to walk straight past it, down a back and almost to my doom!
Shook the cobwebs clear, made my way back up, and vanquished the wenches!

I had no idea what this was all about when I read the description. Undeterred, I proceeded with some research and things began to fall into place.
I decided to visit on a chilly night just before dark. This provided to be a good decision as no muggles were to be seen. It wasn't exactly an immediate find but I discovered it before I got to the stage of wondering if I ever would.
Ground Zero isn't really the nicest of areas to go caching. However, I guess the slippery and slimy nature is in keeping with the theme. TFTC.

With Infoferret, Melon +1. Nice description. So many "containers" to chose from through there! TFTC
Due to the inclement weather today, the area was totally deserted, which allowed me to track down the cache in peace. My only problem turned out to be locating the hint object. Took me 5 minutes of wandering, staring upwards at leaves, and head-scratching before I spotted it. Quick find after that. Pity about the rubbish down here, as the park itself is pristine and inviting. Thanks for bringing me here, and for an enjoyable puzzle. TFTC
We quickly worked out which direction to go, and the cache was soon found. The witches hat and webs were very wet this morning. TFTC
I was in the area, so thought it was about time I took my courage in both hands and attempted this one. A beautiful day, but fortunately the coast was clear. The cache was a nice quick find, all in good order. Made a mental note of the names of the local witches from the book to make sure I avoid them in future.
Thanks 1Bumblebee for a fun cache.

Enjoyed this one although the messiest little spot I have been too. My children played here when they were small #41 TFTC
Quick and easy find. Can I suggest that future cachers each bring a plastic bag and do some CITO here as this place is a real mess. Took quite a lot of recyclable stuff. TFTC
Following the instructions as per the witches manual took me to wrong loaction. I should change the word "between" to "through" (i.e. from the small spider web go through the middle of the witches hat) and bingo after much searching had the eye of newt in hand. Did with MycroMan who loved running circles inside the witches hat and swinging on the cats tails.. TFTC
Got it on a nice sunny afternoon stroll in the area. The witches weren't home when I visited. TFTP
Nice wee playground, and loved the witches' accessories.
After adjusting the direction we walked in, and with the aid of the hint, we soon found the cache. As others have mentioned, pity about the rubbish in the area.

#3467. Interesting playground. Luckily GZ was a little down the hill (a couple of junior muggles arrived just after us). Good candidate for the next CITO. TFTC.
Arrived to find the park empty, quickly did the calcs and made the find. Just in the nick of time as well as a carload of youngsters arrived to enjoy the swings as I was leaving. phew! TNLN SL TFTC
So where do you go when you've had a fruitless search, scratching around in the bush half way up Mt Kaukau at 10pm on the 44th day of your caching streak?
You go where you know you can get a cache to log...
Considering I bank-rolled this cache, I should have logged it a long time ago, but I had been saving it for when I really needed it.
This was one of those times.
Hadn't managed to get out to do a cache, and really wanted to do one (current longest time without a cache is 43 days too, so definitely wanted to go at least one better).
Wandered up to "I'll take a Rain Check", and didn't have any luck there (I think I'll go back during daylight and spot it sitting in open ground).
Figured I'd grab this one on the way home.
Easy find, as although I hadn't seen the final, I knew more or less where it was.
Signed the log, and was putting it back when I noticed the glow-in-the-dark maggots, cool!!
Thanks to my (almost) constant caching companion 1Bumblebee, looking forward to your next hide.

#854 No problems tracking this one down tonight with no one around. It is a pity about all the rubbish in here though . A neat little puzzle, TFTC!
It was raining so no witches or wizards around today, I had the place to myself. The instructions appeared to lead me towards an object similar to but not the same as the hint object (surrounded by a large amount of trash) but on further investigating there was a true hint object about 10 metres away and the cache was quickly discovered here. Shame about people's rubbish dumping habits, it spoils an otherwise nice area. Signed log, TFTC!
Quick detour for a stop on the way to work at 0530. Surprise surprise, no muggles out and about at this time of day. Now, where to hide a cache ... lets have a look in this corner, follow the trail through the long grass [ see what is meant by a CITO event here ] and start looking here .... aha ! Could not see any TB's in here so not sure where the current resident went. TNLNSL TFTC
Nice easy find with the hint. Good play area but cache area could certainly do with a CITO event. SL TFTC
I made two attempts on this one, well really only one as my first visit i hadnt read the witches instructions properly, so was standing in the middle, in the rain feeling stupid. And cold. Second go, i wasnt too sure which direction in which to proceed directly, but really, theres only one spot to hide a cache of that size here. Thanks for an enjoyable cache.
I visited in the rain this evening when the area was free of little witches and wizards (or was that imps) so that I was not hindered in my search. A quick find as long grass tells tales of those who have passed. Congratulations on your first hide. TFTC
Stirred the cauldron, added the magic herb's (a little bit of darkness, a smattering of electrons, a wee bit of carbon. Plus a few choice items from here-and-there) to get the broomstick to point the way. It wobbled abit on the way in, spinning left and right before sweeping aside all to revel..... the secret book of witches and warlocks. Using the secretions of the black stick, I made my mark upon the parchment.

This was one of those caches that you either get or not, arriving at GZ early this morning I was able to work out where the given co-ordinates were taking me and it really didnt take too long to work out what was happening here. But trying to find the final GZ was another issue as some lovely cacher must have put a blind spell on me and after a short search and nothing to show for it except a few piles of rubbish all over the place. Decided that I needed to get to work, I decided that I would come back and have another look at this one on my way back out of town. Arriving back in the afternoon I was able to find a caching trail that lead me in the a different direction, maybe the curse has being lifted, after a short search I soon had the cache in hand within a few seconds. What a clever little puzzle that will keep a few cachers thinking, congrads on your first hide, look forward to your next one, TFTC TNLNSL (3901)
