Logs
As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been a number of months since the last owner note. I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it. Should you replace the cache after 30 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.
As the previous Cacher said. I think the sign has been removed. There was no indication it even existed.
I walked about 25m either side of GZ on both sides of the road without luck. Owner may want to check on this.

Is it even there anymore? There is no Avondale sign?! Got within a metre of the compass and it was not there!

624 Km from home.
Stopped here on the way home from a visit to Sydney couldn’t see the sign but the cache was an easy find.
We took nothing but memories and left nothing but footprints.
The co-ords were good, the hide, the log and the container are all in good.
Thanks for the cache TheOrmos.

Found with Geokid, was going to give up as it was so cold and windy but when we actually followed coordinates arrived within a metre of Gz. Nice hide. TFTC
Found at 2:07 PM GAFF1. Parked the van just a little bit up from the cache - where there is a cross nailed to the tree! It was raining so a quick find was in order, but when I saw the difficulty rating I nearly stopped and went back, but my fears were not warranted as I found the cache in the usual spot for these sort of hides.
Thanks TheOrmos.
Thanks TheOrmos.
Convenient parking just over 50m from the coords but we couldn't see the sign...? Followed the GPS arrow down to a couple of metres and had a look in a common hiding spot,CIH.

Many thanks for the neat hiding spot..

A little bit confused when I jumped out the car and couldn't find the sign. Quick read of the logs and soon had the cache.

Looked for the sign that wasn't even around. Read some logs and bingo had it in seconds. TFTC
Easy find at suggested co-ords but some distance from the reason for the name. Only just spotted the sign in our rear vision mirror as we were driving out of da-village.
The sixth cache of our day to get to 1999 caches to find "Frying Pan" tomorrow for the 2000th cache milestone. Pulled up in a good spot and it was a quick walk back to grab this one then sign and replaced. No cars passed us at least but I didn't have to go anywhere dangerous.
Thanks!

Found this one with geoson1 Dirtsquirter. He was the adventurous one and walked over to the othe side and found it.
The holiday is coming to an end, we are heading south so after camping at Mussellbrook and picking up a few more caches on our way home.
As we approached gz we noticed that the sign has again been graffiti ed and it back to be "Da" village. When we pulled up there was a bus parked close by and we thought that this was going to be a CNL. Fortunately a couple of minutes after we arrived the drover took off and we were free to search. The cache was found in an obvious location and our name has now been added to the log.
Thanks The Ormos for the cache.

Thanks for the cache. Well placed for a quick find. Lots of traffic going by, so one has to be careful of muggles. Found while on holiday in Australia for the birth of our granddaughter.
Our 6684th overall find.
With the iPhone this one took a bit to track down but got there in the end. I never spotted the sign though. Perhaps I'm blind.
Thanks TheOrmos for the cache.

Very easy find.. Listen to hints.. Very easy find when returning second time found with Rainbow Sparkles
Found this one after going back a second time...... Easy once i was on the trail..... Found with Zhen_vandervelden.......gps is pretty right on......only a digital signature as neglected to take a pen
Found on a very wet and wild public holiday Monday. Parked up the road and ventured back to GZ just as there seemed to be an explosion of muggle activity - cars out of driveways and people walking around in the rain. Still, I found it quick and we were on our way. Many thanks.
Found with Cookie while staying over after a family funeral at 'the Bong'.
Missed out on finding the one at the entry to Avondale so nice to get another while in the area.

While I had come down to Avondale for a family member's funeral I thought I would get a few more geocaches found, and hopefully be able to get 75 found for December, then it will be one more thing done for the MGSc cache (in NZ mind you)!
Not for the first cache found this night, but the first for the 'day'; shame I can't claim it also for the 'Night Caching Thesis' as part of the DGSc !
That will have to come later.
Anyway, cache quickly found.
Through: 3Bros, AustLighthouses, IconicBridges Travel Unicorn, Baa, Neigh, and Oink geocoins, B2B ingot, and trackable shirt.

After a bit of searching (my luck the road was busy) was about o give up when I found it - my gps has been playing up today and again sent me slightly off, but in the end found it with ease TFTC
Found while out on a rainy drive. Did not have a pen, so just a digital signature. Saw the sign. TFTC.
Found whilst out on the bike. Had me stumped for a little bit as there is no sign any more.....
Searched high and low but to no avail. We were met by long-term geocachers, Team Unibolt and Jonignite, who had found this one in the past. They confirmed we were looking in the correct place but they could not find it, either. Do we presume that it is missing? Shame about the cache but great to meet other geocachers.
I walked around a bit for this one totally confused as to where the sign was - its gone. Cache is still present though not hard to find at all.

Love the sign, it reminded me of an old geocaching buddy from many years ago - he was always saying Da this and Da that.
Another good grab in the area.
Enjoying the drive and the finds.
Thanks for placing this cache.

Swung by this one on the way home this afternoon. It was rather fortunate that I had previous finder with me as it could have been a long hunt otherwise. Perhaps bringing the GPS next time will not have me looking so sheepish. TFTC.
Reperio at 1325.
Having lived in Dora Creek, I used to pass by this way frequently, and whilst I don't condone what has been done to the signs, I did have a chuckle to myself as I read the adjustment made to them. Parked across the other side of the road, and after waiting for passing cars to go by, the cache was soon discovered.

We'd noticed on our way into the other end of town that the sign said "Da Village". Once we'd found the cache we drove out the other end and sure enough the sign near GZ was also "Da Village"! TFTC.
Found this cache at 10:20 am.
Nice and simple cache while hard dodging the traffic.

The cache was not where we expected so had to drive further to GZ. Mrs Fish raced out to look in her favourite place and found it straight away. Thanks for the hide.
A quick find and three in a row for Mrs Cachefinders who is not normally with us. Busy little road and had to wait for an opportunity to replace.

The eleventh of many on a day out caching with spikeymikey and this one was definitely not where the co-ords took us.
