After our arrival in Melbourne we drove directly down to Philipp Island, our first stop in Victoria. Here we looked and found some boxes before we were heading to the Penguin Parade. Thanks to the co‘s for placing and maintaining the caches. Found and logged together with GPS-Wickie, Mikaching and Swerik.
Today we started our journey with a flight from Sydney to Melbourne. Watching the news it was perfect timing, because Sydney was hit by heavy rain, thunder and lightning the same night.
For our accommodation here on the island we had chosen the Ramada Restort. It was a good spot for starting our different adventures. Already on our way to the resort we started to stop for a couple of caches. Later we took a nice walk and continued to find caches in the area. We finished our day to attend the attraction of the island, the penguine parade.
Thanks to The Three Geo Amigos for placing and maintaining the cache.

A find on the way back from the chocolate factory but took some searching to locate. I think the weather is throwing off the gps as it was directing me out to the road. Nice to finally find it as I could not find the one at the chocolate factory.
GeowifeE and i DNFd this a while ago whilst cycling. Today we're on foot with the kids and geogirlJ10 found this in an instant. Whaaaat!
There was someone cutting the grass nearby but they didn't know what I was up to,

Could not find this one, will try again in a few days. Weather is really, really cold, windy & wet today.
My wife is sleeping in this morning so I'm trying to complete as much of this pathway series as possible on our weekend away. I am being lazy and driving between caches because I don't have a bike and I don't have enough time to walk it! Thoroughly enjoyed the series, Thankyou so much for all the well maintained and creative caches.
Today was time to get out the geocycle and travel along one of the many routes in the area so today we found 23 traditionals with 8 DNFs it was not a great day but it was a good day for a ride but those DNFs bring the day as a whole down but thats caching (Cache Blindness) or they just werent there only the cache owner knows which is the case. The other option is the lack of GPS accuracy using Iphone as GPS wasn't preloaded before going for the ride.
Thanks The Three Geo Amigos for placing this cache however it illuded us today. so it was move on during this lovely day.
Grand Cache count = 837 total consisting of 752 Traditionals, 24 Multi, 14 Mystery, 4 Earth, 2 Virtual, 6 Event, 2 Werigo and 2 Letterbox.

No luck for me here. A very hot day so after a brief search I moved on. Thanks anyway.
I had about given up when I noticed something worthy of further investigation. Tftc.
Early morning ride for his one, and as expected, it was nice and quiet. However, it did take a fair bit of time to locate this tricky hide. It is funny how once you find it you wonder how you missed it first. Nice.

In Melbourne with Cravo10 to attend the Mega in Alexandra.
We took the red eye from Perth, leaving at 1am Thursday morning, and departed Melbourne early Tuesday morning, so it was a short five day trip.
We managed to snag a couple of nice stats for the trip. First mega event, 12 cache types in a day, 10 lab caches, 50th large cache find, and most importantly my 10,000th find at Mount Disappointment.
We spent the first day on a caching run from
Melbourne to Phillip Island where we had booked into the local caravan park for the evening. We cached all day chasing down a number of the whereigo and puzzle caches from the CF series, before ending the day caching the extremities of Phillip Island, where we had both never been, an amazing part of this country.
Next morning we cached our way to Alexandra which was the main reason for our trip to Melbourne as we had both never managed to attend a mega, which were hoping to rectify in WA next year! Attended the pre event and managed to get a couple of group FTFs by torchlight which was a real highlight.
Saturday we cached in and around Alexandra all day, chasing numbers, the highlight of the day would have to be the birdbox hides around Alexandra and the multi in Bonnie Doon from that famous TV show, a real nice touch!
Sunday was an epic caching day, chasing down 12 types in a day, which required a couple of huge drives to claim some of the rarer icons around. A huge caching stat which is a very rare feat in the Southern Hemisphere. We finished the day travelling to Mount disappointment where we found Melbourne's 1st cache and then started making a dent in the powertrail, finishing by torchlight.
Our last full days caching was spent at Mount Disappointment to chase some big numbers and with a few caches around the burbs for good measure.
Special thanks to all the wonderful COs around Melbourne for their brilliant caches, and to the mega committee for organising a ripper event, hope to be back next year!

On a 6 day tour of Victoria with Barnzy12. Taking the red eye over from Perth we managed to visit some great places. The main reason for the travel was the Mega event in Alexandra and the opportunity to find 12 cache types in a day.
We originally travelled to Phillip bay, then up through the country side to Alexandra. Spent a few nights staying high in the snowfields and then moved over to Mt Disappointment. We then ended up back where we started returning the hire car at the airport to fly home.
Some quality caches were found all over the state, great to get a real range of cache sizes with some very large caches compared to what’s available in WA and the range of D/T options so close to each other was a bonus.
Thanks to all the Cache owners for you placements and creativity put into hiding and have awarded a few fav points based on this or the location it bought us too.

We thought we were in for a challenge with all the rubbish around and the size of the cache but I noticed something different to everything else and bam it was it took a bit to get it open tweezers definitely are your friend for this one and a dry piece of paper tftc
Walked past this one whilst on a loop of Cape Woolamai. The cache had been left in such a way as it would attract attention. Placed in the better position that I'd found it previously.
Well we've had a busy day. We wandered around in a topsy turvy house, tried mind bending puzzles, got lost in a maze and played 18 holes of golf. Yeah ok it was mini golf but still took ages. After replenishing ourselves at the chocolate factory we chose a couple more caches. Ones that were popular.
We drove into the service road but decided we didn't want to rip our clothed getting through the bushes so moved across the highway. We had a quick game of frogger with the traffic to get to GZ but eventually made it with all lives intact.
We crossed at the perfect spot because I picked the cache up immediately. No searching or wondering, just 'here it us' . Yeah I amaze myself sometimes too.
Thanks The Three Geo Amigos. One day we will come back with bikes and do the whole trail

Good start for the rest of the series. Kids on bikes and mum walking and screaming at them to slow down. This could be interesting

We enjoyed a beautiful day here on the island and visited a few caches. Nice hide. Sorry for the similary log. TFTC and greetings from Austria.
We started the Pathway series from No.9 back to No.1 and then a quick pedal back to No.9 for lunch. For me this was a lot easier than normal because I was riding my new electric bike but for Yorsys it was hard yakka. Which is why after No. 9 we used the car to get to a few more.
The log was just soaked and needs replacing.

Tough lil sucker that geohubby finally grabbed. Started at the end of this series then skipped a few in the middle to get to the start. Tftc

On a rare date weekend and what else would we do but come caching in this beautiful location!
We've not been here for a few years and saw this weekend as a great chance to come back and enjoy the views.
This one had us scratching our heads for a while, and slightly frustrated until we found the clever camo and cache in one.
Log quickly signed and cache replaced as found. Glad we started today's adventures on a positive note, and hope it continues. TFTC.

Our first of the Pathway caches for the day, but it's so busy here this morning with a Farmers Market on Churchill Island.
A nice quick find to get the ball rolling.

Over for the Melbourne Mega and collecting a few caches while in the area.
Thanks for adding to the enjoyment of this trip.

Decide to stay in Melbourne instead of returning for the weekend to NZ to be able to attend the Mega Melbourne event. Yorkshirekiwi83 and I teamed up again to enjoy our Sunday on Phillip Island's. We spend the morning collecting some earthcaches and the afternoon biking. The evening I decided to stay longer to experience the cute penguins parade and their young. In all it was a stunning day with perfect company, sunny weather, well done geocaches, good exercise and an awesome scenery. Last one of the trail which we found in the wrong order . Some great geocaches within this trail!TFTC
Was at the Melbourne event and teamed up with fellow NZer Alpenmilch80 for the weekend, gathering some of the caches on Philip Island, had a limited time as I was flying out later that evening, but had a great time.
We were thinking of walkingt the trail but we saw people passing on hired bikes, OK that was a much better option, google showed onee option in Cowes e-bikes, awesome. This really helped us with the speed in between the caches and meant we got the ones we wanted to and returned the bikes within 4 hours. Most were quick easy finds, but there were a couple of tricky ones in the mix, had a fab time.

While staying in Frankston (waiting for the Melb Mega) we drove to join our geodaughter on the island for lunch and and caching in the afternoon. We left early to grab a few caches which she had already found and started on this nice trail.
We only ended up doing 15 before lunch time arrived but were delighted in the variety of the hides. We made a record of the enclosed clues in the hope we get to finish the series at some later stage
Plenty of 'long weekend' traffic around.
We apologise for the generic log but comments have been added on some hides where necessary.
Many, many thanks The Three Geo Amigos for a very enjoyable series.[^][^][^]

Well, here we go. We are going to try and complete this series so thanks to the CO (just in case we don't feel the same at the end). Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Starting from this end this time, now that we are all booked in and 'accommodated'. Had some dinner - so what better to do than a bit of night caching.
When we found this one, we discovered that the lid is broken, or actually the bit that keeps the lid attached to the container. It still works, however. Can't say the same for the log - it's had it - so we put a new one in for the next lucky geocachers to come after us.
Found at 6.00 pm on 27th September 2015. TFTC.

Wahoo. Back today to do more of this Pathway series. Doing it in reverse. Nice quick one. Took geoboy again. TFTC. 7.2 km walked today. Enjoyed the diversity of this series. Looking forward to the other half of Morcs4 to pick us up to go to Churchill Heritage Farm. Sore and tired. Had to go back and get the letter. Woops. Three to go and then solve.
Down this neck of the woods for the weekend from Geelong. We thought we would grab some caches on the way into Cowes. There were some very tricky hides in this series. It wasn't until we were over half way through, that we realised we hadn't been collecting the clues... Oh well, I'm not turning back now !! Thanks for a very entertaining morning, a lot of variety in the hides. TFTC The Three Geo Amigos.
Whew, no-one around so easy grab but in a hurry cos I was running late! Put the cache back and bolted off, only to realise some miles down the road that I'd forgotten to collect the clue - doh don't ya hate that So it was a return visit on the night trip home to amend the record keeping!!
Very clever hide. This is the third time I've been here. I had a break of nearly a year and this time I found it immediately AND on a day when I can get my first road trip souvenir because so many others liked it too!!!
Apologies for the late logging
Down on the Island for a couple of days with Bogonghazy and decided today was a good day for caching. It was my first 'real' trip doing multiple caches

Down on the Island for a couple of days with Leetalicious and decided today was a good day for caching as the surf was a little small for us today.
I've always wondered if these caches can be accidentally moved by muggles, not knowing what they'd picked up. This one's safe here though.

Thanks for all your efforts to set and maintain this series. We started at #30 yesterday by bike, and worked backwards down to #9, when we ran out of batteries. The weather took a turn today, but when it cleared, we drove to #1 then walked our way through the remaining ones. We didn't find #15, despite quite some searching. But we have enough letters to unscramble .
Really enjoyed the variety of caches. Cheers.

With the great weather, we decided to drive to Phillip Island for a day of caching.
We were not disappointed as there was a good variety of cache hides and containers.
which kept us busy all day. We also had the pleasure of meeting 2 other teams on our travels.
Thanks to all the owners, for the effort that you put into the construction and the hides.

Tricky hide watch the pedestrian and cyclists muggles. 3 rd of your series will gradually get them ! Tx
Travelling around Australia in our Caravan with our cat, we heard about the New Year Events and decided we should be a part of the fun.
So with 'home' set up nearby we headed off to visit Phillip Island today.
We headed across in the GeoCruiser which had the Geobikes on the back.
We decided on a plan to tackle most caches by bike, parking the cruiser then working our way back before moving again.
Gee I hope this is peak season down here, there were so many muggles!! We would stop the bikes then look over our shoulders to see if any walkers or cyclists had appeared and believe me, they did very often.
It was quite treacherous on the bikes, particularly if we had to cross any roads.
Today was pretty warm too, the weatherman said 30 but the car said 36. So some sunburn has surely been picked up. [^]
Indeed very nasty, but quickly spotted by Mr Felix. Fave point.

We (G&JMelb) arrived here on holidays Thursday whilst MMelb is on a School World Challenge trip and is currently in Cambodia and Laos!
We had planned to do this whole series whilst we were here and hoping Quiet1_au would be able to join us either yesterday or today but the inclement weather had other ideas!! We spent the morning at Amaze'n'things hopimg the rain would stop. Finally today around lunch time it did so we headed off. Took a while to find the nice hide, log dry after all this rain

While spending a weekend on the island with xambo4u while they did some setup tasks on the latest van we decided that this series should be our challenge - but not by walking or riding - by car. Most of the caches where located quickly and the letters retrieved. Thanks 3 Amigos for placing these caches.
Out and about with 80 degrees while enjoying a weekend at Philip Island to test out our new caravan. Stayed at the Big 4 which was excellent. This was our challenge for the weekend. We are a team of driver and getters. Always mindful of parking safely it was the getters that was sometimes challenged. Need to bring out a big getter for this one. Mr 80 soon had it in hand, these are very tricky hides. I am still trying to manage them./
Thanks for the cache You Three Geo Amigos

Having nearly completed this series some time back it was time to revisit some we missed. This was a quick find today but I can see why we would have missed it last time! Great hide. TFTC
This one deserves a favourite for the clever use of camo in this popular area. Tftc
Found 2 little holes big enough for a bison, but both were empty. Was this where the item in question would normally live? On returning to the geomobile, stepped in a grass-covered stream/ditch and had an icy cold foot for the rest of the day....
Spending a couple of days on Phillip Island with OrionJ. Left Mr LHE Duo to his own devices and I headed off with OrionJ to do this pathway series. The weather was starting to warm up and the day was perfect for a nice long walk. There seems to be something new around every corner. I had no idea how much Phillip Island had to offer visitors.
After a brief stop at the Chocolate Factory we recommended this series at No 1. Luckily the first one was a quick find. TFTC

While on a short holiday from Brisbane with LHE Duo. Myself and Mrs LHE Duo spent the best part of Sunday morning and a little of the afternoon walking the path to collect this series.
We started with the one closest to the hotel which turned out to be #30, and worked along the trail for a couple of hours. At #14 we had a pickup from Mr LHE Duo, who had the rental car, and gave us a short break with a trip to the Chocolate Factory.
After the little sidetrack we set back out on foot for #1 and finally got a pick up again at #13. All up it seems we come up with I think around 14.5km with the bits on each end, and a time of around 5 hours.
My Apologies for a cut and past log.

Was a bit worried about this one after the DNF's, but we had our hands on it in less than 5 minutes. A great little hide. Thanks
