Logs
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 57 - Swan Valley Perth Day 1. For my first day in the area, I selected a series of caches out along the Swan valley and got to see some nice vineyards and river views. I even stopped at another cholate venue. I did a few chores in the middle of the day and then went for a few more suburban caches to round out my caching for the day. It was a quiet night at home and it did not rain today. The first few caches of the day were nice drive bys, but that did not make them simple. The road seemed quite busy, but I was able to get out o the way and spend the time required to locate the cache. I was sure it was there somewhere, I needed a torch to see it and a magnet on a stick to get it out. I did not drop it to the bottom this time. I'm not sure why you claim a find if you can;t get it out. Thanks for the cache FelixII47942.2 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2009 Compass Rose Gold Glossy A#156**Albida**
Note to the next finder.
The cache (Magnetic Mint Tin) has been replaced not attached to the metal and dropped to the bottom.
Happy for the next finder to replace the cache if possible.

Found it, but couldn't reach it because it appears to have slipped somewhere it is not supposed to.

Found the box you had to look around and think hard of where it could have been but this one was easier then you would think.
A great few days away collecting smiley along the way and awesome places to see. Thanks to co’s for all caches. Sorry for the late logs
Staying up this way overnight we were grabbing dinner nearby and as you do in a new place is check for the closest cache. This one won. After we collected our dinner we made the short walk to gz and found the caches safe and sound in its hiding place. We made our mark on your log and returned your cache back to where it resides. TFTC FelixII.
Up this way with axell33 having an overnight stay nearby. We ended up nearby for dinner and after we collected our food, we took the short walk to the cache to put a mark on our map for the lovely Swan Valley. A nice quick find, log signed, cache returned, now back to our lovely stay place for dinner! Thanks for the hide here.
Picked up another one of this series today after work. The Swan Valley is just such a beautiful place. Thanks for maintaining this cache.

Another easy find. The tricky bit was parking the car and then reentering the traffic with so many vehicles using West Swan Road.
Out on the bike today to tackle some caches in the swan valley. Quick find here TFTC
Paper has been soaked through and struggled to write on it- very easy find out in the open. Bag/container/paper needs replacing please.
Replaces the inner bag to help with the wet. Needs a little love, and very in the open!
Cache is somewhat in the open. Container needs replacing. Great idea though!!
Another quick find.
Out and about in Ellenbrook and surrounds grabbing caches to try and get the Hidden Creatures souvenir.
TFTC FelixII this is find # 4852 for us.

Heading NOR as we are running out of caches to find at home. The log book is still there but just in a waterproof bag, which is not doing its job very well as the log is very wet. TFTC felixII
Found plastic bag and wet log book in piddle. Could see cache but couldn’t reach it. It is unreachavle. Cache needs replacing
Managed to find the plastic bag protruding from the thing, after looking down the 4 things to try and find it. TFTC

It is definitely not where it should be but managed to retrieve the log and sign it anyway using my new claw tool that driving Mrs D so graciously bought me for such occasions

On our way out we decided to grab this cache, we thought we had finished this series but somehow had missed this one, we quickly located gz but retrieving the cache was a no go, unfortunately it has fallen right down the bottom, is open, possibly broken so we took a photo to claim our find. This will require maintenance TFTC
Found this one quickly but I had to recover it from where it has been dropped. I was lucky to have a long magnetic tool in the car to recover it. TFTC
In the Midland area chasing down a couple of FTF's and thought I'd give a couple of these a go on the way home. A nice quick park 'n grab on this one.
FelixII I found your cache at 1:26pm, this was the 2nd of 2 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 4138. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.
