My lovely wife and I decided that we needed a work break and so we booked out a friend’s batch down here at Waihi Beach for a few days. I am also trying to maintain a daily Geocaching streak of which all of my finds for this day would equal day #466 in a row. Also, something that I have always wanted to try to do is find a minimum of 50 caches in a day… and as we are on holiday it seems like the perfect time to attempt it as there are more than enough caches around this area. However, at the end of the day today I failed only having achieved 38 finds due to my phone dying a lot earlier than expected… oh well… I will try again in a couple of days while down this way. Finding this particular cache took me a lot longer than it should have. In fact, if I am to be perfectly honest it wasn't me who found it at all. My lovely wife who was sitting in the car decided to come and see why it was taking me so long... and as she walked to the spot where I was straight away said... 'I think you are looking for this'... and straight away handed me the cache. So needless to say the camo is well done! Log book signed and cache back in its place. So thank you willbuild for taking the time to set up this particular cache. Who would have thought that this area used to be a golf course? Anyway, I really appreciate your efforts in setting this up as I explored this area today in a way that I probably never would have otherwise. TFTC!
Wow. That blends in really well. Luckily i thought to check that particular item soon otherwise it could have taken a long time.
Haha was walking towards the garden when michaelteacher reminded me that I should read descriptions more carefully as it said there was no need to. And he found it pretty quickly after reaching around. Container larger than expected, and is in good condition. Tftc
Got in to NZ and after some rest took a drive down the coast to Waihi. Stopped off to make this the first find of the country. Parked near a flooring shop (I will need some back home eventually). Walked around the corner to make the find. Muddled around for a bit, then called the Mrs, over. She looked and said "There!". Oh, OK. Signed and returned, went on for more coastal fun. TFTC!
Down here staying at Athenree Holiday Park as we have a wedding at the Flat White Cafe today. Nipped out of the cabin for a wee drive and grabbed a couple of caches whilst out. Nice little street this one, nice spot for a hide, good sized container. TFTC
Arrived the night before in Waihi for two days full of geocaching. Easy find in the early mornings. TFTC
A quick trip over to Waihi Beach today and I couldn't resist picking up a smiley. It's a beautiful winters day here - TFTC
Wow, couldn't find this one 4 years ago but there have been a fair few caches between then and now and this time was an immediate find. TFTC
Quick find but in plain view of the neighbours across the road when they are sitting on their deck - like they did today on this beautiful day.
Found a wee while ago. Just doing some back dated logging. Enjoyed finding this one on a bike ride.
My morning walk as I explore Waihi Beach brought me here. I made it hard for a few minutes, then found the smiley! Visiting from Juneau, Alaska! #3823
We are back in Waihi Beach for Waitangi weekend because we had such a great time last week. Out for a few caches this morning before family turn up for a visit. This was our first stop and a nice quick find to get the ball rolling. All quiet here at this subdivision, TFTC!
Staying in Bowentown for the last few days in the summer holidays. Went for a cycle this morning up to Waihi Beach. Lost the girls along the way but I found this geocache. The log book is a bit damn I have 5 minutes to dry it out in the sun. Tftc
Cache had some water inside and log not in the plastic bag so damp. Still able to sign. TFTC
04/10/16 10:55 Signed the log in the old square container after removing the resident slug and assorted insects. Placed this log sheet in the new container (with no holes in it) and removed the old broken one. So now, two logs, one container. Thanks for this, Cheers, GC.
2314 Sat down at GZ and on looking behind me I saw the cache sitting openly on the ground. Picked it up and after signing I went to put it in a hiding place so the CO and put it where it should be only to find another container there. Opened it to find another log so I signed that too. First time I have signed two different logs for the same cache.
Did play golf on the course when it was here and have the T shirt to prove it.

Cache is broken and needs to be replaced / fixed.
Medium size but not a lot of things in there to swap, maybe it was found by muggles.

I walked up to this from the main road to be unobtrusive. Found the cache, and the container has a largish hole in it. First find for the day.
A night at The Mount, a short days cache from Waihi Beach. A nice warm sunny drive, unusual for this time of year.
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

We're visiting from Florida, USA. That was great fun. Thanks for placing the cache.
Took me quite a while to find this one but once you look in the right spot it's pretty simple.
Thanks willbuild, cache in good condition.
Steady rainfall meant there were no muggles around.

Out hunting with tiga in "the beach" area. I found this one with the assistance of previous activity.
Container needs replacing and snails have easy access. Good start for the day.

Snail thought it was a nice home., it soon got evicted. Hole in corner of container needs fixing, duct tape would probably do, as a short fall solution. I did not have any with me. Staying the weekend at Waihi Beach at the Tga Ulysses Rally, and joined My.Precious to find more caches in the vicinity.
Straight forward find and another dot day done. Removed some rubbish from the cache - please do not leave food items in caches. TFTC.
My gps kept jumping around but soon had it spotted. Tried to access from park but easier from road. Thanks for bringing me here.
What nice quite subdivision streets a tad narrow hatdly enough room for a bike and a car...I digress good cache a nice easy find and quick sign ...I remember the playing putt golf here years back tftc enjoyable☺☺
Awoke after night shift to my wife informing me we're
taking the kids camping at Waihi Beach! Well there are
caches there so I'm in. Found quickly although the
container has seen better days.

After a full-on and tiring day yesterday, when we biked from Waihi to Paeroa, we had a cruisy morning and after lunch headed out to Athenree and Waihi Beach to have a look around. Unfortunately, the sun was shining so it was warmer than we would have liked so we appreciated cache finds in the shade!
A pleasant spot - we sat in the shade to do the paperwork. Surprising how narrow the road is there, though. TFTC.

TFTF sadly this cache had been muggled so v easy to find. Container needs replacing as is cracked and has a hole. No supplies with us to repair. We hid again where we thought best to. Hope is right spot.

TFTC. Tried hard not to look suspicious finding this one but no one around due to the weather.

GPS pointed us in wrong direction slightly but with the process of elimination it was found
Just remembered that we found this one last weekend too, but forgot to log it.
