What a great spot for a cache. In a few years when natives have grown will be even more stunning tftc.
Unfortunately this was a DNF today. Pretty sure we found the right spot but definitely no cache anywhere in the immediate vicinity.
For many years as I have done the Lolly Trail maintenance I said I would do rhe walk to this cache. The day I do it is a DNF.
Lucky I passed by when I did - see pic for what I found on arrival. I think I placed it back in the right spot. I even signed it
After locating a few caches closer to the river I headed to this one, parked the car and cycled the rest of the way. Pleasant setting. The cache was a quick find. #5813. TFTC.
Having just recovered from a total knee replacement glad I had my lovely wife to get on hands a knees to find it. Thanks
Arrived at the carpark, just as a couple walking a dog, headed off in my intended direction. Of all the routes they could have chosen, they walked directly toward the cache, with me following at a distance. Cachers I thought? However, they didn't stop at GZ; TFTC
We took a restful stop from parking-and-grabbing the Lolly Scramble along South Eyre Road to take the stroll to this cache through the reserve. Watched harriers soaring above on a brilliant crisp winter afternoon. Thanks for bringing us here!
In a few hours the country will change to to Covid19 Alert Level 2 so the cache has been enabled in readiness. Stay safe. Use hand sanitizer.
Due to the government ordered Covid-19 lockdown, I am doing my bit to slow the spread. I will not be accepting any Found logs on any of my geocaches for the period of the Level 4 Alert.
Please do not embarrass yourself, your hobby and your country by thinking that geocaching is essential - it is not.
STAY HOME. STAY SAFE.

Return visit with my own GPS. The kids re-found the cache and the dogs had a swim. TFTC
A quick find once the couple walking their dog had gone past. A lovely wee area.
A lovely day in Christchurch visiting friends, so on my way back to this part of the country took a short walk to this cache while the driver had a quick power nap. Enjoyed the walk to this cache Thanks BaldEd
Took the grandkids out to see a friend, and on the way home we went for a walk. I remember mapping this track a while back, and was surprised to see only one cache here. It's a nice spot for it. Thanks.
I was *supposed* to head home for a sleep before my night shift, but wasn't remotely tired. So... this was one of five finds on a wee tiki-tour around the area. It was a lovely morning for a drive and a few short walks.
This was one of those walks. I've never been to this reserve before, I'd be keen to explore more when it's not so boggy! The cache was an easy find once I was out of sight of the muggles weed spraying.

What a pleasant area and walk. The cache was on the ground,- - I suspect a possum. TFTC
What a lovely reserve. When I parked the car up there was a large group of children from a local school doing a tidy up so I went for a walk and came back to GZ when they had gone. The cache was still safe and sound. Thanks for bringing me here. TFTC.
#12905. We didn't know this reserve was here, and enjoyed exploring it. TFTC.
Taking the scenic route to Rangiora from Chch for the Duck Dash Finish Line event, which naturally took us past some lollies as well as fruit and veges plus a few other caches .
We took advantage of the fine weather (though the easterly was a bit cool) to take the stroll to this cache. Appreciated the parking co-ords and found an empty car park on our arrival, though another vehicle arrived not long after we set out. We wondered if it was another cacher taking the scenic tour to the event, but it turned out to be a dog walker. A pleasant walk and a quick find for StreetWalker while I tiptoed over the rough ground on the direct route (should have carried along the path). Took TB.
The stream is indeed wonderfully clear. Thanks for bringing me here and TFTC.

A pleasant afternoon stroll to get this cache. Picked it for today so we could drop off a travel bug. TFTC
Today we enjoyed picking up caches from the lolly scramble trail, the fruit and vege trail, the cust trail and other various caches around the area. We found 50 caches altogether and had a great day. Caching with Injeanious and theBurnsy we signed the log books as JeJeBu to save time and space. Thanks to the cache owners for placing and maintaining the caches! Sorry for the cut and paste logs.
It's been a slow couple of months for me and Jess.daphne, so we decided to team up with The Burnsy and get a whole lot of caches. We headed off to pick up more of the Lolly Scramble, Fruit and Vege, and Cust trails, signing the logs as JeJeBu. We had a great day and grabbed 50 caches. Our best day yet! Thanks to the COs for the caches.
A nice walk on a lovely winters day. Our GPS got a bit confused but we spotted it soon enough. Nice dry cache. Left little Liesel in it. Tftc.

cruising around north of the Wimak. did some 30+ boxes. nice series here.
easy find. Thanks
easy find. Thanks
Day 3 in Christchurch and I again teamed up with yorkshirekiwi83 and vamber for another big day of caching. We signed the logs as "VYV" to save time and space on the logs. We made an early start to the day as we knew we would be going for 200 caches. We started with the Lolly Scramble caches (which we had begun the night before) and made our way up to Oxford, before returning to Kaiapoi and working on the Horses 101 series, finding a number of other caches along the way. Apologies for the generic logs, but thank you to all the cache owners for placing these caches!

Our team for the Mega weekend was signing as VYV (Vamber, Yorkshirekiwi83 and Vistra). we found quite a few in the short space of time we were together, where I can I will make comments about the cache. We had teamed up back in Auckland and had been busy planning what we were going to target and in what order, of course plans changed even more so when we were down here, but that is part of what makes it fun and I had a great time over the weekend, thanks to all the CO's for placing. Returned to the rest of the Lolly Scramble Trail today to clean up some of the remaining caches we missed yesterday, accompanied once again by vistra and yorkshirekiwi83, on a big numbers mission while visiting Canterbury for the Christchurch Mega Event.
Another find in between all the lollies. Thanks for the hide!
Another find in between all the lollies. Thanks for the hide!
A spot of mega caching. Great to see small reserves like these all over the place.
Lovely little walk to break up all the roadside caches. Nice hide and a well maintained cache! Big cache day at the mega! TFTC Ed
Nice to find a larger container on our way back. Dropping a travel bug which I brought over from Tasmania. TFTC:)
No sure whether to note or dnf!
Found the hide location but looks like tree has toppled since last find?
No sign of a cache although only spent 5 min looking at likely places.
Cache may have become exposed or buried?

Pleasant walk in the sun, hardly a soul about so a quick find. Making this a favourite, a/. because it's a beautifully clear stream, and b/. because it is Cache #900. TFTC!
Out and about with Pagenz on a caching weekend. Early start this morning and this cache was found at 6.30 am as part of a challenge cache we are trying to complete. Loved the walk to this cache, no-one else about and the sun not yet up in the sky. Absolutely magic. Thanks for bringing us here.
6.30am And another dark cache hits the floor.... t4tc (used to go to a school called Silverstream but it was in Wellington)
I had a few minutes up my sleeve this afternoon before the cachelets and Mrs TW get home from ballet so I made a detour this way to grab a few caches that have been put on the back burner.
I over shot the carpark and pulled over and jumped the fence. I haven't been here before. As I was walking to GZ I couldn't help noticing the cherry grove on the left. Hmm, would be good to visit around Christmas time as there were millions of cherry pits on the ground. The river was clear. I made a quick find and looped back to the truck. Awesome spot.
Thanks for the cache.

Parked up, did the first walking loop and found the cache. Also dipped my feet in the water, awesomely clear but not exactly warm. TFTC (1580)
Excellent spot for a walk with the dogs, complete with swimming steam. Thanks for introducing us to this nice place to walk in the country. TFTC
Not sure that I am adding additional waypoints properly as I don't know how to bring them up to navigate to. Couldn't find the entrance so will to put this on the list to find next time. Now that I have noted there is car parking coordinates provided.
A pleasant wander at 7am to the cache, saw a few hares running about. Cheers, looks like it could become quite a nice spot once the plantings grow up.
After grabbing a few caches down the road, father in law (Popmac) and I decided to have a bit of a wander in the late afternoon sun. No problems locating the cache. Re-covered it so it was not to easily spotted. Thanks for the cache.
Good early evening walk in the sun with Mr 2wombles for an easy fine. Thanks for the cache.
Nice day for a walk with a cache buddy. Never walked along here before, lovely clear water that you could see the weeds clearly on the bottom. Cheers BaldEd for the cache.
Thanks for introducing me to a nice area to walk. The cache was easily found and rehidden.
I don't usually like to write cut / paste / template logs but will make the odd exception for days spent on 'power trails'. In Christchurch for work but with quite a bit of spare time on my hands today. Decided to go caching - what else? Today was a day of interlinking, interweaving, looping the looping trails of caches between Christchurch and Oxford. Lollies, Fruit and Veg, Cust Communties, Old Rail Lines. This area must be the cache trail capital on NZ!! And even a few older stand alone caches and a challenge to find too! One of the stand alone caches here and a nice pleasant walk out to GZ it was too. TFTC, Biggles.
After work and managed to catch up with my old friend Sonia26642 for an evenings caching and chat about caches we have seen and people that we know. a great time and plenty of laughs for both.
Its always good to be out caching with Sonia26642 as she is always looking on the "Brighter side of Life". Yes and some of the conversations make about as much sense as a "Monty Python" sketch.
As the first of the evening this presented us with a lovely walk in along a beautiful stream
thanks for the placement

Went out caching today with Cats&Dragons who was in town, and boy was I glad to be able to be getting more than just my one a day!!! Have been meaning to go out this way for quite a while and have a splurge of all the new caches, but somehow never got the chance!! Was very stoked for the chance to do it in company today!!
This cache I have somehow managed to skip every time - being too keen on the numbers!!
Today we took the nice we walk over, and what a clear river! Absolutely gorgeous!

Passed this one a few times while doing the lolly scramble series and it wasnt good timing then but we made the effort to stop while passing through today. The ground was pretty wet so we were pleased we were still wearing our gummies. Alot of recent horse prints on the way to GZ which I spotted from 100m away and guessed where it would be. Pretty obvious hiding spot but maybe only to a cacher. Thanks for the cache

Taking a little detour on the way home to Nelson. Nice walk, was surprised to see the water as clear as it was considering the about of rain recently. I wish I'd brought a spare pair of shoes, managed to keep them dry until the last boggy bit TFTC

I pass here once a week over the last five summers and never stopped. Thanks for making me!
Wandered around here for the first time last week on a very hot day. Sun must have got to me as i forgot to log find until today.
Well I do believe this one is my 200th New Zealand geocache
Sweet_bee and I were in Christchurch and decided to do the caches out this way. I am glad we made the effort to go for a walk. The nearby stream was babbling along quite well with its clear waters.
We arrived at GZ and found the cache without any problem. We signed the log and re-hid the beast.
Thanks for showing us the beautiful area, BaldEd TFTC
