Mr CNQ is at the end of a long week of travelling and heading back to Charters Towers today. Found after a bit of a search this morning, thanks for the cache.
As Allycatz's caches have slowly been disappearing we figured we'd finally get this one done before it goes too.I held back on my strides which put us a little off target but continued on with the search.A few minutes later the cache was found and then replaced with the log signed.TFTCVenimus, Invenimus, Signati
Every time we come back to Rockhampton I see this multi on the map and think I should really get around to finding it. Today we finally had some time spare to look for it. It took a little while but eventually M found it in a spot I'd already checked, typical! It had been covered with a little dirt washed down from above which had disguised it from my cursory search. Thanks for find #6304TNLN
I found this cache a few years ago, but forgot to log it:)It was a great geocache find for all of us.
Currently staying at Rockhampton, today we decided to pick up a few caches along the way and this was one of them.
A straight forward multi. Enjoyed exploring the area, cache and contents were in good condition.
Many thanks for placing this cache and adding to our geocaching experience today.

Found it finally. I raised the height of it slightly to get it out of the moisture. Thanks.for the cache.
We looked and looked with no luck.Headed off to get some of the local caches..Texed a previous finder, and with their help, we returned, and the find was ours..The cache was very wet ,log could still be signed. Installed log in a zip tie bag . Hope this helps. Tftc
95 degrees would have had us walking through gardens and across the entrance area. Walked along the front 54 paces but no luck for us.
Fun little multi here but I did it twice before trying the other side
I’m a vertically-challenged 160cm so had to take big stepsPut me roughly 2m from GZ by the compass. A bit closer to 92o methinks

According to statistical data located on the interwebs, and the distance back to the posted coordinates, the CO may have an 8cm longer gate than normal. That being said means I must have found it, not before I attempted to retrieve a toad accidentally in my quest to find the cache. It wasn’t too happy about it, for sure
The log sheets were mush and are unable to be opened. I have replaced them with a sheet of new write-in-the-rain tradie paper. That should solve the mush problem for a while.
An enjoyable multi. Nice and short with a favourable result for me. Thanks Alleycats. Another day of multying done.

Great Northern escape 2022 Day 118. Rockhampton Day 4. I was out for a full mornings caching, mainly to the east of Rockhampton. The highlight was an old Multi that took me on a great walk. Then I went back to Gracemere to get one I could not do on Sunday due to the crowded event.
The flag pole was not hard to locate, and then there was a projection. My paces took me 5 past where I found the cache. Right at my measure there was a good nook, but no cache. I was happy to see another spot not far back.
Thanks for the cache Alleycatz4700

#14247; Day fifteen of the Townsville Mega adventure with Sol de lune. After a night in Koumala, we headed south, destination Bundaberg, collecting caches in the various counties as we travelled along the Bruce Highway. All were found in good order, unless mentioned in the log. Logs were signed L.L10n & Sdl or vice versa. Apologies for the largely generic logs. TFTC Alleycatz
Day 15 of the road trip to Townsville with LuckyL10n and today was day 2 of the drive back to Canberra.
After an overnight stop at the Koulama pub and then leaving early, the plan was to reach Bundaberg...which we managed. We stopped off to find a few caches in each county along the way to tick that box off our to do list.
We also needed a multi today, so chose this one as I like a bit of projection work to find a GZ. The car park was empty so we set about the task and soon had our paces measured off the cache in hand. Log was a little wet, however we dried it in the sun for a minute, then signed, replaced the cache and moved on.
Many thanks Alleycatz.....always a bit of fun witth projection caches..

TFTC. We had teamed up with JooJoo57 and Richmond Lad to find a few caches around the area. We were highlighting multis for a challenge. We arrived at GZ and did the necessary steps. Mine were obviously to big but Linda was spot on and had the cache in hand. We put a new log in place as the e other was too wet to sign.
Heading north for the Townsville Mega, taking 5 days and finding caches along the way. Thanks to the COs for placing these caches to show us more of your local area.
Arrived at GZ with joojoo57 and HansandLinda and took the necessary STEPS to finding this cache. Spotted by Linda of HansandLinda. Log signed and cache placed where found. TFTC Alleycatz
In the area and spending the morning picking up some smileys and this is one I found. I did the calculation and found the well hidden cache. Signed the quite damp log and replaced as found. Thanks Alleycatz for this one.
Headed out to Emu Park this morning.
Stopped here for a quick multi cache
Was an easy find today
Thanks for hiding

Found as I meander my way from Adelaide to Cairns.
With no real travel plan and three weeks to get there before I meet up with friends, there has been plenty of opportunity for sightseeing and finding a few selected caches along the way.
A Sunday probably wasn’t the best day to attempt this one and there were plenty of cars parked close to the starting coordinates. However they were all preoccupied inside, doing whatever it is they do in these places, and I had no trouble finding the cache.
Thanks Alleycatz4700 for the cache.

Arrived at the posted coordinates and did the projection and off we went. Found it quite quickly. All quiet here, but glad we didn’t try it yesterday.
Day 2 and our final day in Rockhampton. We headed out on the caravan park side of the river. A few puzzles, some multis and traditionals. Got sidetracked at the shopping centre for quite a while, but the coffee was good. Another enjoyable day seeing the sites of town.
Thank you to all the local COs for developing and maintaining the caches for us to find.

With overseas travel currently out of the question and state border closures still a lurking as possibilities, my family and some close friends decided that travelling to North Queensland was our best option for a Christmas/New Year escape.
Last night we stayed in Rockhampton and while the rest of the family was still asleep I headed out at sun up to hunt a few local caches on my itinerary, including this one.
I had calculated some final coordinates but I had obviously overestimated an adults pace length and overshot the hide. After realising my error I backtracked and soon found the container hiding away safely. TFTC

Day two of my road trip from the Gold Coast to Townsville. An early start today for our team which consisted of RoddyC, hatzofff, grannysmith1947 and youngoldfella and after completing the Moo geoart we decided to tackle some local caches.
This was a nice quick find and a good hide.

MOO DAY! We have been working towards this day for a couple of months and today here we are. But now, having completed them, it's time for some local caches before dinner.
Nice multi, and a bit of a twist for GZ.
Log signed and cache replaced as found at 4.51 PM on November 28, 2020. TFTC, Alleycatz4700

Out and about with 4 geocaching friends going from Childers to Mackay. I will leave them at Mackay on the 5th December. They will go North and I will go South only to come back up to Rockhampton in 7 days time to meet up with them again. This one did not take all that long to find. Many Thanks TFTC.
Day 2 of our northern adventures with RoddyC, Snickersallan, GrannySmith 1947 & YOF out doing some caches in Mornish and then back to Rockhampton.
Headed out after lunch to get more smiles.
We took a stab at this one and claimed our prize.

Grey nomads travelling around Australia in our caravan. Held up a bit due to Covid19 and major knee surgery, so currently in Queensland only, but there are plenty of caches in our home state that we have not yet found.
Currently, we are farm sitting near Rockhampton for three months, so hoping to clear out Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Gracemere, Gladstone and Mt Morgan!!!
Today, we had business on "the other side of the Fitzroy" so filled in time using our GPS as our friend.
Not normally a fan of multi caches, especially on a hot day, but we managed to park in shade, and used the information given to walk to the cache. Thanks Aleycatz, fave point for todays fun.

Came the wrong way so Walked from lakes creek road due to road closure. My calculated gz was about 20m out but spied cache from a few metres away. All quiet here. Tftc
Came to find the cache and a Modern Wonder of the World... not referring to the church though it could be called that I guess. We mean the latest geocaching game to gain souvenirs and this was the last one needed. A quick and easy multi. TFTC and the souvenir Alleycatz4700.
Came out to this cache, calculated the direction, then stepped it out and quickly located the container, stamped log and replaced. Thanks to Alleycatz4700
TFTC,
It has been frustrating finding caches in the area but when you do, it is a great feeling and it is time to feel a lot for those trying to keep caches going in the area.
Took a couple of minutes for the GPS to settle before we were able to move to the required location where Nana nel had the correct measure and made a quick find.

Day 4 of my 4 day trip from Mackay to Emerald and Rockhampton.
Followed instructions but eneded up in no mans land
Looked in garden...nope
Looked in trees...nope.
Maybe next time.

After checking into our Rock Vegas hotel I wanted to show my wife one of my old stomping grounds when Rocky was one of my second homes. We went for a drive to the Beserker pub because it is always good to hear new people mid-pronounce it.
I tried to push my luck for one more cache before a visit to the shops and this sounded like a number I could count to.
One of the keenest additions to our holiday was a trolley for the fridge. We plug the fridge into the car during the drives and into the wall in our hotel rooms. Crispy cold wine, beer (and water but who cares) every moment of the day. Who knew simple technology was wonderful. tftc

Hi there Alleycatz4700.
We found your cache **"Thozet's Flag"** at 9:26:00 AM today. (This makes our find count 20389).
We started the day off by nominating a cache in Rockhampton, and then following a "next closest" route as determined by the GPS. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip even though it wasn't very fruitful.
We found 6 caches today & DNF'd 5. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Hi there Alleycatz4700.
This is the 1st of 2 caches we didn't find today. [:(!]
We spent quite some time here but we just couldn't locate your cache, so here's a DNF from us.
Regards
Ian and Penny
PS: We did find a hash stash though, so other cachers should beware.

The entire cache environment has been reconfigured by earthworks. Will consider what to do and adjust cache and coordinates. Please allow a few weeks.
After we visited the Dreamtime Cultural Center and Mount Archer we had a look for an easy Multi cache. This one was perfect. GZ was quickly calculated but the container was not findable. After studying the last log we found it very quickly.
Thanks for showing. Tftc

Found at 4:43 PM GAFF4.
Well that is interesting to know that Thozet introduced mangoes into Australia - he should be made a saint! Also always thought that mangoes were native to Australia until now.
This cache was nearly a DNF as our projection took us to a very likely spot, but no cache even when widening our search area a bit. Then a member of the church saw us and enquired if we needed some help and so I explained what we were doing. He knew immediately what was going on and he also knew the CO! So a quick phone call and the CO directed us to a spot that was a little out of our search area.
Thanks Alleycatz4700.
Feedback: We would say that the distance is around 52 metres.

OOo - tricky, fancy having to use a proper compassion. had fun doing this one and met the owners brother en route (unknown to me previously), serendipity. Signed log added a little piece of swag and put everything neatly back again. Thankyou.
An additional hint: Use a compass to find out what direction 104 degrees is and head off in that direction. That direction is NOT north - it's slightly past East. North is 0 degrees, East is 90 degrees, South is 180 degrees etc. You are trying to find 104 degrees.
A DNF for us also. We searched for some time as we had the place to ourselves.
No luck today! Followed the directions to a T, nothing to be seen!! Had to go pick up the kids from school so have up! Will have another go soon
Did a quick check on the cache today. All good and findable for anyone who is looking.
Tried two options but think my first hunch right. Wish I had a normal compass not some computer thing on my phone.
Note to self - attempting on a Sunday morning was not a good idea since the location is a church. A bit hard to be subtle so had to abandon today
after success at the other nearby multi
thought I would have a go at this one.
Pulled up at GZ, but way too many people around this afternoon.
So opted to leave it, and have a look at some of the local puzzle solutions instead.
Another for another time.

Couldn't find anything at GZ, so after checking pervious logs, I altered my estimate by 8 meters, and then came up with the goods

Left the caravan at Westwood, and did a day run into Rockhampton.
Very nice of the church to let cachers use the area, to find this well designed cache.
Something a little different - well done, a favourite point from us.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Girl4god20, for us and others to find.

This was a great morning, & a variety of caches were found.
The co-ords were excellent on this cache.

Great little find. Directions were just about spot on. The young fella found it in a matter of seconds. BYOP. TFTC
Visited with a newbie to caching. Because I used sight-n-go on my GPSr instead of pre-calculating the final waypoint, I think we spent several extra minutes searching. In fact, I was sure it was gone, but Zach persisted. We actually found it while mozying back to the car. Glad I chose to peek in that spot! Nicely done again g4G20!! TFTMC!
Cache Raid to Rockhampton with Gunnie69..
Numbers are the name of the game & so we came to partake of the caches in the area
Projection pugged in we zeroed in on GZ
Gunnie69 picked up container about 6 - 8 metres from where GPS had us - still it's a find

A nice quick projection at GZ had Kaisho53 and I tucked very tightly in the corner after we worked our way to the new location.... Hmm, nothing around here and that won't move, so where is it... [?]
We scouted around for a few minutes then widened the search... I stumbled across the container but probably 7-8m from where the GPS wanted us... The joys of satellite navigation I guess... [^]
We didn't think this through very well and did it on a Sunday. We were just lucky the place was deserted when we arrived...
Cheers Girl4god20.

At last a beautiful sunny day in Rocky. We made the most of it and got out to do a few caches. This one eluded us for a while. We were actually at the right location but lost confidence and looked elsewhere only to return to where we first thought but just looked a bit harder. We very much enjoyed the cache.
Thanks to Girl4god20.
