Logs
Decided to archive this one. It seems there are now occupants of the building and it has become increasingly difficult to access the cache.
Given previous comments will check and see what the current situation is here. Will be on our next visit over to the Wairarapa.
Attempted to find this cache while out in the area earlier today. Parked up outside the building and began searching. After a few minutes, a muggle pulled up alongside my car and said I was on private property and as a result, I decided to leave the area. I didn't mention geocaching to him. CO may want to check on the legitimacy of this cache.
A nice hide, but as you say rather obvious. Half expected for someone to appear but fortunately nobody did. TFTC Tramper Ted
This was an interesting spot to stop. I wondered if a muggle might appear at any moment and challenge our presence. But no-one around! The cache was a quick find, all good here. Thanks for the cache Tramper Ted.
we wondered if this cache was on private property.
people here on site.didn.t notice us but we collected cache anyway.

With (Mr) Davidson Clan and Gap (of Fap and Gap)… On a boy’s weekend roadtrip south. We’re relocating down the road today. So our base camp shifts to Carterton for the night…
We were worried about approaching this one. It’s a workshop now and someone was welding inside. The presence of new train wagons on the forecourt must be an interesting story… Anyway, the hide was quickly spotted, and we tiptoed around to make the retrieval. We have the TB listed in this cache but found it somewhere else… Thanks Tramper Ted and TFTC.

FapnGap and Squirel Nutcase and I have come away for the long weekend caching. Nice quick find here today cache is in good condition. Thanks for hiding the cache.
Day 1 Cache 33 of my mad mission to the Wairarapa for the 100-10-7 Challenge and still going strong. Wet and rainy day today but cachers must carry on. The lovely Ethness has joined me as driver for the day. Having been around Greytown and Martinborough we find ourselves over here now addicted to find a few more before calling it a day. Pulled up to this site and it felt very lost and lonely. Cache in a nice tidy little spot TFTC.
We looked around for about 10mins with no luck. There were cars parked out front so felt a bit uncomfortable snooping.
Woohoo, so glad to turn this into a smiley! Nowhere near where I was looking last time lol
Detoured to find in the most obvious spot

It's Valentine's Day today.
What should a good Husband do?
* Spend it with his @WonderfulWifey?
* Or go away on a 'date' with two of her three other 'Husbands'?
The date won out (sorry darling!) and BoardGamesHusband, StaycationHusband, and RealHusband convened for an assault on archived Skindo caches in the Wairarapa (plus a couple of PWGT and other randoms thrown in for good measure - like this one!).
To try to claw back some W.A.F. points, we did take SkyCraneKid (FKA. EtherMaster) along for the trip. Not sure if it was sufficient though...?
This location looks less like a cheese factory these days, and more like an industrial museum awaiting curation...
There are some fascinating items here! and some others that are little more than shaped rot and rust...

There is a railway car down the back! A half closed passenger car? Guard's wagon?
Teamed up with Etherlord and Ether Master from the Etherlord Clan and TwigNZ, for a raid in Skindo land. We arranged to meet in Masterton, swapped into one car and headed south. The aim was to get the 5 PWGTs south of here, and to collect Skindo's achived caches, especially puzzles, along the way. although we did get a few others as we were "just passing".
But time conspired against us. Or maybe it was skindo himself, as we only got 50 caches, and only as far south as Greytown. We have made a tentative plan to be back in a couple of months to to come back and work this area again.

Having been over here in the Wairarapa only a few weeks ago, I wasn't expecting to be here again so soon. But the chance to have a whole day out caching with friends was too good to miss. Between us we hatched a plan to get as many archived Skindo caches as we could, and any others we were going to be driving right past. My main roles today were as driver and searcher, whilst happily leaving the navigation to the others who were able to use their GPSRs and programs other than the official app to see the caches I couldn't.
My apologies for the generic logging, but anything notable will be commented upon. For convenience all logsheets today were signed TECATS (for TwigNZ, Etherlord Clan and The Seagnoid) regardless of whether any 1 of us may have already have found a cache on a previous trip.
This Trad was a simple Park n Grab. Etherlord had spotted the hide location even before I had brought the car to a complete halt. A nice quick find at GZ, and finding no issues with this one the log was quickly signed and I replaced the whole thing as found, whilst the others went for a little explore of the area.
Thanks for placing this cache.

Took my two grandchildren as this is the closest to my home. Found it without much difficulty. Signed the book(now full)

Called by today and not sure what the fuss was about as the cache was exactly where it should have been and in good condition.
Found the nook and cranny but no cache. Checked all around in case it had fallen out somewhere but to no avail. Maybe someone else will find it and put it back in position?
TFTC creepy place looks abandoned but definitely people and dogs inside... and a rooster. Happily went on my way.
Found easily having read previous logs. There was some interesting animal sounds coming from inside so didn’t hang around too long. TFTC
I felt this was a really creepy place - derelict, yet clearly someone was living there,or nearby. There were several dogs barking and whining inside the buildings, and a guy starting to look towards us in a sinister way, as we drove off. The actual hide was clever and quite cool.TFTC
Found it we thought it would be smaller but good place behind the foam in the wall
I really enjoyed searching for this hide, though the barking dogs and grunting pigs were making me feel quite nervous wandering around the front of the building. Very atmospheric. It took me quite a while to figure out what an "obvious" place would be, but once I found it I was delighted with the hide.
Thank you for the abandoned structure cache, a favourite point from us.

Interesting history on this place. My son thinks he will open a cheese factory here again one day he’s 9. Thanks for the cache.
Sad to see this historic building deteriorating. Thanks Mr and Mrs TT for the cache and your personal memories. Everything is in good order.
The last find for the weekend trip. GPS pointed me towards an obvious hiding place and soon after quickly found the cache. Dropped off a trackable. TFTC
A muggle stood watch over this one, and since I did not feel like taking him on, I had to let this one slide.

After spending most of my Christmas break in the diy, it was time to dedicate a full day to caching. The weather was looking prefect for a trip to greytown so I headed off bright and early to try and collect as many as I could.
Decided to head to the back rounds between greytown and Carterton for the afternoon. Spotted the likely hide from the car and it turned out to be correct. Noisily rooster nearby. TFTC

This took a few minutes. My attention was focused on a small hole I'd seen a cat disappear through as I pulled up. After it became clear that this wasn't the place I stepped back and spotted a clever hide. TFTC
A rather late log found when looking at other caches in the area today only to discover i had already found this one. I even took a photo of the now defunct dairy factory that in its day would have been the pride of the area and the local contributing farmers. Sad to see every thing go over to the big comglomerates and the loss of local pride and belonging.. It is a nicely hidden cache and yet a quite straight forward find. Thank you for bringing me to here and another smiley face.
Not sure if you'd describe this hiding place as clever or cheesy?

Loved this find - very cool building!! Another good one to do with sleeping kids in the back of the car. Took a blue finger monster puppet and left a small painted chess piece. Signed log and replaced cache. We are new to geocaching and I'm addicted!!!!!! TFTC
Sorry for the late log and the copy and paste, headed down to do some caching (while hubby played paintball) knowing the weather was going to be lovely, it was lovely it was really hot, we managed to get a few before heading home again, the sunburn wasn't over the top only forgetting not to put it on late arvo. Thanks for taking the time to place the cache.
Not sure how public/private this site is. Sounded like someone was working in the factory and my dog was barking loudly in the car. Only my 10th find, nice hide. Starting to get the idea of this Geocaching thing now.
