Checking if this has been found lately. From the logs it has gone (only one found by a newbie in the last few months which may be a suss found). I have contacted the CO to no avail,so will post this

Road trip to Dunedin with Saethwr. Caching not a priority (for a change) , but picking up a few as we go.
Took a walk along the beach this evening and ended up here. Then read recent logs.
Had a good look anyway as had some ideas. Unless the container has changed since a spoiler pic then it's not easily accessible.
Wondering if previous finder (with 6 finds as I write) actually found it.

First Dunedin cache with MacyC95. Yes she brought me along because she couldnt reach. Haha

18-May-19
Revisited the site with Vanjeans who helped, he definitely helped! I definitely wouldn't have gotten the cache otherwise. Excellent location for a cache, some muggle activity but not prohibitive. TFTC, greetings from Auckland

16-May-19
I'm pretty sure I know where it is, but I am way too short for it. Reaching, I could only just touch the area with my fingertips. I had no one else, or nothing to help me.

07-May-19
Tried to locate but there were way too many muggles coming and going. Is there any time this spot isn't busy?

21-Apr-19
Tftc it was fun

07-Apr-19
At a recent gathering of southern cachers, a plan was hatched. We need favourite points
..but where to find them????
Dunedin was the decision.
I had to work on my A game to convince the co driver that attendance was compulsory....
Decisions to raid the more northern caches was made. So off we set.
A stealthful approach from the south was made easier with all the Highlanders fans heading to town.
At the border, we dropped the rrrs and picked up our scarves, to blend in with the uni types.
A quick park and grab as we head for home
Found with Annielin

Thanks for the hide

tftc

07-Apr-19
This is the Southern Raiders weekend to pounce on our northern neighbors!
As we stealthily approached the border, we dropped the rrrrs and began to enunciate our worrds morre betterrrrr...

31-May-18
Hunted around for a wee while as the GPS showed the cache on the other side of the road. Found after a bit of thinking and looking stealthily. Heaps off muggled around enjoying the surf and the brisk breeze blowing. Signed cache and returned for next hunter.

Came for a walk along here. Last time mr and mrs were here, was the day met (not so long ago), and the first thing was did was walk the esplanade.
Found the cache, picked up a TB, continued the walk today

26-May-18
Took a team effort to extract this one, it's so nice to come to a cache that says it has 2 trackables inside and to actually FIND two there!!! Took a trackable and left one behind. TFTC

26-May-18
A quick find, nice to see something different, and to find trackables actually in a cache. We took one, the others took the other, and we left one to swim the seven seas ...

19-May-18
Last cache for the day, found just on dark which was probably a good time as the muggles parked up couldn't see what i was doing.
Signed log, TFTC stegan.

Walked up harbour cone this morning and have had some lunch a couple of hours till school finishes so decided to have a walk near the beach. Busy today as a sunny day after last weeks rain.
I was Just tall enough.
Walked out along the road and back along the beach. The water was very cold but nice to be in bare feet.

02-Apr-18
Could see how to retrieve cache but at 1.65m I’m slightly too short! Too many muggles around to attempt more vigorously. Will have to come back another day with my tall partner.

25-Jan-18
No luck for me here but can see from other logs that it is not straight forward. Too many muggles to spend any more time plus I was getting cold as the temperature dropped dramatically from a couple of hours ago.

02-Jan-18
Thank goodness for park and grabs. After a 2km round walk and two unfound caches I really wanted just one find before heading back to our accommodation for breakfast. Made the most of a small gap between muggles walking past slowly to make a quick easy find. Very ingenious.
Thanks for the smilie.

10-Dec-17
After arriving at the campsite and installing ourselves, we went for some closeby caches.
We had a nice little hike to the beach and back and we enjoyed it.
Everybody was sitting in his car and having lunch here but no surfers in the water.

I think that it is at least a year ago when I sussed out the cache position and had that confirmed by the CO. Today I had my son as an assistant and the log was quickly retrieved and signed. We went and checked out a nearby one but there were too many people around.

22-Dec-16
Barely a muggle in site this morning found this cache easily with no eyes watching! Clever cache thanks for the hide!

22-Nov-16
In the evening I made a short walk along the beach, well more up the beach.
However, I came by this cache, saw something suspicious immediately and luckily all the muggles where heading away, so I just had to grab the container. In order to hide it again I had to wait for some time, but finally I also succeed in doing so without attracting attention.
Thanks for showing the place and greetings from Austria.

22-Nov-16
Third attempt at this one but luck was with us today (surprisingly considering it was 28 degrees!) and on arrival at GZ we had 2 extras so it was less conspicuous and with no muggles close by it was an easy retrieval. Back to the car close by (blocking view from a group sitting on the grass) to sign the log as we were somewhat surprised at the cache container! Our luck had a tremendous decline and all of a sudden there were muggles everywhere!!! After a good 10 minutes we were able to return cache to its home and off we went. Then we returned later in the evening for a swim close by Smile TFTC

There's obviously been quite a bit of angst over the years regarding the situation here. A quick grab here today after a pleasant walk along the beach. TFTC
