Out for a morning of Horowhenua caching with Etherlord and TwigNZ - great company and helped to knock off a few DNFs - including this one I was seriously overthinking and over-searching this one on previous trips, instead of going in for the obvious and having more of a search (and following the hint literally) Cache found safe and well.Mihi ki a koe, wil677, mo te keteroki #324
checked it out as another exp. cacher could not find it but yes it was STILL there . all is well !
No go here for us today. Im pretty sure I know what Im looking for but it escaped our eyes.
CO asked for help on a puzzle cache so I took the opportunity to ask about this one I had tried that spot but obviously not well enough. Instant redemption today, thanks haydn.seek!
Found really good hide Found after coming back from eatherlord magic maker event
after two DNF and one by an experienced cacher i checked this out as i past by, armed with a replacement , but the cache is definitely still there all safe and sound
Thought I had an idea of what it might look like but no luck today finding the right one (if I was right) on the way to Palmerston North airport.
Have been here twice now. First time had a solid look and drew a blank. So much for the ‘quick find’ others mentioned! Pondered more and in the area again today with an “I wonder if …” and sure enough soon had a log signed. Many thanks
Nice find on our way to Palmerston North. Cache in good order. Thanks for placing.
That took a little bit of searching and pondering. Lucikly there is on one around. Duly found and signed. TFTC.
Left Levin and heading to Palmy. Great place to park up and find a smiley. Didn’t take too long. Thanks.
great cache!! very well hidden took a bit of searching... didnt help that i did this during a night cache tftc
Thought I was in for a long hunt after reading some of the previous logs but luckily found in the first place I put my hand.

The lockdown has lifted, but with our International wings clipped, a domestic road trip is in full swing.
Thanks for bringing us through this way

Seen plenty of these so it was almost a drive by. Nice history great to see these old buildings still standing and some still in use. SL TFTC
On our way to a family reunion in Palmerston North we decided to stop off to break up the trip.... after reading the other logs I thought we were in for a long hunt...
Just as I was about to start looking my 8yr yelled out "found it"... I've noticed he is really started to spot geocaches well.

While travelling to Levin for an event i left home early so i could do a maintenance run on those cache that i would be close to. All was well with them.

As the CO had visited earlier today, I knew this one was here somewhere. Spent way too long searching based on an incorrect assumption. Almost gave up, until a reference in one of the previous logs had me check somewhere I'd already looked, and there it was. All safe and dry, TFTC.
Day 2/9 of our New Years trip up to the North Island.
Today we traveled from Upper Hutt through the winding Akatarawa Rd, side stepped into Levin then to Palmerston North. We had spent more time in Levin than I wanted but thought a 2/2 'Hall' cache was worth a quick look. Feeling rushed by the lateness of the day we couldnt find anything and had to leave empty handed. Thanks anyway. I hope we get to come back another time.

I have lost count on how many times I have searched and failed on the cache. I am party to a conversation between a previous finder and a recent DNF where a pretty good hint was given. So I was in the area and decided to give it one more go as I did not want for it to beat me. Quick find because of the friend hint. Nice to finally turn this on into a smiley. TFTC
I found an unspent gunshot shell here.. should have looked a little harder in the same spot though as CO revealed to me later that I was in the right spot.. oh well.. maybe for next time I come back

Yes it is definitely there. all dry and plenty of room on ther log sheet albeit a rather old waterproof sheet. checked on way to levin last night!
Last one of several caches located today in the Palmerston North area and on our way back towards Wellington. Had looked for this one two days earlier without success. In the meantime we got a ‘hint’ from a fellow cacher. That helped make it a very quick find today! Could well have been a reasonably quick find on our initial hunt, but that wasn’t how it turned out! #1746. TFTC.
Looked for this one whilst en route from Wellington to Palmerston North for a couple of days over Easter. Spent a good 20 minutes searching without success. Has to be there somewhere! Will have another go on our way home on Sunday.
Tricky cache to find, even though it’s familiar to us. On the to Napier. Greetings from Finland. TFTC
siilietana found this cache on our way to Napier.

Nice quick find on this extremely wet evening
At least the cache was nice and dry

And yet another one by this CO that has required several visits before I have located it
My last attempt was a few years ago now while regularly commuting to/from Levin so it's possible the cache has changed in that time.
Today, maybe with more experience, it didn't take long to identify what I was looking for. Glad to tick this one off, as I drive past and want to stop every time. Now I don't have to anymore.

I checked on this cache a couple of days ago so i know it is still there just well camo'd . happy hunting!
Found after searching for on the 23rd of Sep. Too bad the hall happened to be a polling station!
It certainly did fit in nicely with the others! I actually came to try this one last Saturday, only to find that the Hall was being used as a polling booth for the General Election so you can just imagine how many Muggles were hanging around!
Did a good hunt around. Read activities posted. Ummm. Will have to try another day//
25 February 2017 14:10. TFTC, hides well indeed! Credit to GSEL for the find, no 21 to the 50 a day we were aiming for.
Taking the opportunity to escape some of Wellington's drizzle for the day with a caching trip around the Levin Shannon, Foxton area with Yeetrees and Gonefishing. Thank you for the geocache.
Quick find, even though well disguised.

A good hide using clever camouflage.Have seen these before; and found one earlier today on my way south. Well done, cleverly placed! TFTC!
When I was studying at Massey I had a friend who told me this hall was the exact centre of the drive between Palmerston North and his home in Waikanae Beach. Today was an excuse to finally stop and have a hunt. It took a while but then I spotted something familiar as I had already found a couple of similar hides earlier in the day. TFTC
Logged with GCDroid. Trying to find some of more rural caches instead on the ones along the main roads. This was one of those out of the way sort of places that you probably wouldn't go to unless you lived here or close by. Thanks for expanding the area I zm seeing of our country.
After our 3rd visit we finally spotted what we were hunting for, so glad to finally mark this one as found tftc
#2299. I was heading north today on a trip to Napier and had a list of target caches to find. Had two work colleagues with me who had not been caching before so were keen to see what the game was all about. This was the third of the caches. Soon after arriving I saw several possible hiding spots. But the camo on this one made it tricky for the newbies. They were amazed when I had the cache in hand soon after. Nicely hidden. Signed the log and returned the cache as found. Thanks for hiding it here.
Was a bit worried about this one after reading previous log as I tend to overthink easy caches but found this one within seconds. TFTC
Third time here not sure if we are over thinking/over looking or what but its doing my head in lol next time hopefully.
We spent 4 incredibly wonderful weeks in New Zealand for vacation and
had a lot of fun to discover all the marvels of this country.
Day 16 - After a 3 hour drive we arrived in Wellington and didn't loose time to explore the city.
We caught the cable car to the top and wandered back down via the botanic gardens
with its many varieties of New Zealand plant life. Beautiful!
We finished the day with a relaxing stroll on Cuba Street.
Besides we still found time for geocaching and picked up quite a few caches on our way.
This was one of them!

From 19th February to 20th March Stadibast and I visited New Zealand. Half of the time we made a trip around the North-Island. After a short stay in Auckland we went to: Bay of Islands, Cape Reinga, Rotorua and the Wai-o-Tapu-Thermal Wonderland, the great Taupo-lake… We made a Rafting Tour in the Waitomo-Glowworm-caves or hiked the Tongariro–Alpine-Crossing and, and…
In the second part of our holidays we visited the south island, hiked in the Abel-Tasman-Reserve , went to the Marlborough-Sounds, the Golden Bay, the Oparara-Arch, the Franz-Josef- and Fox-Glaciers, had a great sight on Mt. Cook and Mt. Tasman, relaxed at the Wanaka- and Hawea-Lakes,….
New Zealand is a very amazing country and with exceptional natural sites. We are very impressed of these great nature monuments and sights and we are happy that we met so much friendly and helpful people.
On our way to Wellington we stopped here and searched for while. Nice hide.
Greetings from Germany.

Cool find! We almost gave up due to a grumpy baby. But teamwork won the day in the end! Great clue
Surprisingly quick find as the geo nose was in top gear today. When I first got to the spot and the GPS on my phone put me on a nothing spot I thought it'd a dnf. TFTC
A quick find. All jumped out of the car and first place we looked the cache was just sitting for us all to see. TFTC on our road trip to who knows where.
Walked straight up to it and instantly in hand. After reading the other logs we thought it was going to be a big search!! Tftc
Driving back from Levin to Palmerston North to fly back home and as I was early was picking up some caches on the way.
Parked close to GZ and as it was next to the main road put my Hi Viz on and started my search.
The clue initially had me investigating another line of thought. When that didn't pan out I forgot the clue and started searching in an outward radius.
Then I found it. Luckily for me the container hadn't been replaced correctly and was easy to identify!
I signed the log and replaced as intended.
