I looked for some time before realising that I have been ignoring a particular item, and yes, that was the one! Great hide, TFTC!!
Found with StreetWalkerNZ as we travel from Christchurch to Blenheim on Anzac Day. We were surprised at how busy this wee reserve was, met two different groups on our short walk, plus there were several cars parked in the parking area.I had made sure to download the cache on my phone while I had internet so that we could look at the picture while we searched. It helped narrow down the search area Even so I missed the cache on this first pass but SW was more alert. Great hide and enjoyed exploring the area. Afterward replacing the cache, a couple of cache guardians (robins?) made themselves known. Tried to take a photo, but they were well camoed. TFTC.
#23668. We enjoyed the walk through the reserve (was also interesting to read some historical info on noticeboards in the carpark). Once at we both went a little off track, but in the end it turned out we should have stayed on the path. A nicely built outer container. TFTC.
Found it during a torrential rain storm, we were so close to giving up but got so excited when we found it! Unfortunately we didn't have an appropriate pen to sign it in the rain so left it but will come back another day to sign
What à lovely spot to picnic, camp and walk. Interesting history too
We got so close, but so far! Thank you for bringing us here. We will return to stay longer (and look harder!)

We are camped up at Donegal house and have left our cat Coco in charge. We packed a picnic and went off to explore. Really enjoyed the walk here and a new spot for us. Looked around in ever increasing circles at all possibilities. After 30 mins we called it a day and moved on. When back in cell range I checked the photo and we had throughly searched the right spot plus plenty more.
On our way back towards the Main Road and stopped at this little reserve for a walk and of course a cache. Wandered around the track and spotted the item in the spoiler photo and then the cache was quickly found. After knocking all the mud off it, opened the container and put our names on the log. tftc
What a stunning reserve! Hadn't been here before so it was great to explore the area. Really enjoyed the walk, it was nice to be sheltered from the wind. Found the cache eventually, but it was a great hide. Gets a favorite from us. Thanks for placing.
What a beautiful forest, some trees are very impressive. Lots of bird around as well. Quiet and peaceful break on our journey. The Coordinates were perfect... it is a Sneaky one, but we found it. Thanks for placing and maintening this cache. Both container and logbook are in good condition.
After what felt like an extensive hunt, we have to DNF this one. Such a shame as it sounded like a really cool one.
Camped here and had a quick look in the rain last night then another go this morning. No signal so no photo aid. Probably kick myself later
Found on 24/01/2019.
I was up at the top of the South Island competing in the South Island Orienteering Champs. This gave me some time to grab some caches on the way there and back. It was great fun to explore a new part of the coutntry.
Camping here for the night - a nice easy grab.

Camped here for the night and set out to find this early morning while it was still a little dark. I think the rest of the campers must have thought me mad.
A quick find and an enjoyable little walk, GPS was jumping about and had to back track a little.

Great little cache, thanks.
We also had some delightful company from a little fan tail

The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are on a 3 day adventure of Kaikoura. From Clarence, we head south, just after 7 when the road opens to Kaikoura. After our mammoth walk up Seaview Valley Track, we move Zara to Hapuka Rail yards for the night. Still early, so come on Toby, lets go exploring!!
Lots of leaves on the ground here after the recent storm. Snagged and tagged this one. Cheers

It's a four-day weekend!! Taybeedragon and I headed down to Kaikoura, that destination chosen mainly because I have some unfinished business down that way. And on top of that, like everyone else, we wanted to do some rubber-necking, to check out the changes in the route south. Apparently at least two more years work before the road is declared finished.
There must have been some heavy winds around herer recently. On some other tracks the dragon and I walked this morning there were whole trees lying on the path. Here lots of tarata and māhoe leaves making a nice green contrast against the reddy brown track. looks quite festive! And it great that there are still some large trees around here.

Cool cache to find. Thanks for the cache used the image to get the right location
Today is Father's Day which means I get to choose what I want to do for the day and you can jolly well easily guess what that will be eh? mrs capperz is at work this morning and the Blenners weather's not looking too flash with rain early in the morning compared to somewhere else such as, say, KAIKOURA! So with a large target of recently placed caches as well as 2 known F T F possibilities (there was a third at Hapuku that I wasn't aware of, drat) I loaded the G P S with where we were likely to go and set off with daughter nightowl at 0800 (not bad for a teenager!) We managed over 20 caches, 2 FTFs and a whitebait Sammy for morning tea, and sushi for lunch, yay.
Heading back home with a satisfying haul so far. Just a couple of side track diversions to make, along Puhi Puhi Valley with views of snow capped stark black hills and Blue Duck Valley with lush green vegetation and bright warm sunshine. 2 completely different scenes to behold!
A quick walk in the woods for this cache and a nice little reserve here. As the numbers counted down I soon got to G Z and the nicely camo-ed cache was found, replaced as found

Loaded up the nearby caches at the main road and realized too late that there wasn't cell signal at the campsite. So all we had to go on was the marker on the map.
Saw we walked past it and found a suitable section of foliage then a few minutes of searching and we finally had it. Tftc

As we saw that there is a cache near our tent we just had to find it. Unfortunately we forgot the pen on our evening walk. Thanks for hiding.
Talked to a couple of Aussies who were camped here for a couple of nights before heading off into the Reserve. Loved the camo job.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
A lovely walk through beautiful native forest with plenty of bird song. Took a bit to find this very clever hide. TFTC
Interesting history about the valley. Took a bit of looking as had no access to spoiler photo. Nice Camo! Thanks
Came in a day after HOTSPUD did a bit of work. Took me a while but it was there with a brand-new log. TFTC
Tried to find at 10 pm last night when I arrived at the campsite but couldnt see it. Only took a few minutes to find this morning. Log is totally soggy, not able to write on it very well. Very well constructed container TFTC

A beautiful little walk and a well hidden sneaky cache. It's nice to get away and be off the beaten track. Tftc
I've spent many many hours playing here, camping with friends for weeks at a time .. It once was the perfect secluded spot to pitch a tent, keep warm or thaw-out after a winter surf by the large fire pit, keep out of the rain at the lovely carved covered picnic table, and you could even bring your dog! (none of the local farmers I regularly chatted with minded) .. Then just a few years back we turned up to find the shelter gone and generic tables bolted to concrete slabs in it's place, No Fires & No Dogs signs, an ugly pine fence cutting off the forest, and within minutes of arrival a tourist bus turned up?! *Charging freedom campers per night happened soon after .. It was all very surreal and sad, and I can't help but feel DOC stole the charm of this place for a quick buck
However, I don't want that to put anyone off of hunting for this cache as the quick loop through the trees is still very beautiful, and I really appreciated the effort put into making container blend in with it's surroundings - that gets a fav point from me
TFTH!

Another nice and easy walk along some very old and impressive trees. It is good to see that some survived. We walked the loop and did not regret it at all. The container is very nice crafted and the work that the cache owner has put into this cache is much appreciated. TFTC
Great little drive up this valley,we love this terrain especiallyif it includes a bit of 4 Wheel driving. Not too hard tho, any car can do it.Nice camp spot here. Took a bit if finding tho as so many rocks in the zone. Then we noticed something odd. Ah ha, very clever. Took log back to car to dry out, then did another loop. Some nice trees.
What a nice little reserve. Interesting information board displaying some of the early history of the valley. Almost hard to believe that today's piddly little stream could be the cause so much trouble in the past.
Had just found and put back, the little Rascal, when a Group of Tourists came along behind us TFTH
3 campers in the reserve, did the short walk to cache then spent about 5 minutes before I spotted the container. A nice area and walk. SL TFTC
Diverted to here on the way south this afternoon from the ferry. The cache took some searching, I was looking initially for the wrong sort of thing. After reading the description and the logs more thoroughly I finally spotted the well-hidden cache very close to where I had started searching. A very nice container and a beautiful area for it. There were one or two campers in the area but nobody along the track so I could enjoy the birdsong uninterrupted. Signed log, thanks for the cache and for bringing me to this great spot, I certainly wouldn't have known about it otherwise. Gets a favourite point.
a couple of camper van in the car park looks like they are all set up for the night, great wee loop track
Took a bit of hunting to get the smiley. Nice camo, especially as it was getting dark. Thanks for the stop.
Lovely little reserve and looks like a good spot for an overnight stay. I thought I was looking for a bumandworker cache and then when I couldn't find it started reading - oh no the rural camo king. Now where could that micro be, not there, or there, or over there. Hmmm a bit more reading of the logs. Hold on. Got it. Good one. Thanks.

Very pleasant area and walk. A gust front from a southerly hit while I was walking around. Pretty scary with trees suddenly creaking and whipping around. Thanks.
Coordinates changed from:
S 42° 16.265 E 173° 44.240
Coordinates changed to:
S 42° 16.266 E 173° 44.255
Distance from original: 67.8 feet or 20.7 meters.
Cachers seem to be having more luck with B&W co-ords so I will amend my ones. I have also included a spoiler photo which may help.

What an absolute hidden gem here. Searched at published coordinated unsuccessfully and then thankfully at bumandworkers ( although I had wandered up there too). Great camo. The guy in the toilet wasn't too happy hearing me coming out of the loop as he had left three of his van doors wide open. Thats quite a predicament! I'm giving it a favourite despite the coordinates being out because it is such a beautiful location and the extra efffort on the camo.
Parked in the car park and walked in to the cache area. GPS coverage under the trees was not good and jumped all over the place. Read the hint/description with growing despair. So many places fit it! It must be a very sneaky hide - too sneaky for us. We usually love bush walk caches but this is not one of them! Gave up in the end and drove on to the next cache. Thanks anyway, Rodney & Iris.
After initially trying the published coordinates, seeing no likely hiding places, and deciding the location was not consistent with the terrain rating, we then tried bumandworker’s coordinates, which were spot on, and the rather dubious camouflaged cache was soon found. The school photo on the information board was interesting – a lot of pupils for a very small classroom.TFTC
If I'd noticed the 2 previous DNF logs I might not have come here. The tree cover was making the GPS a bit dodgy but got to a spot indicated as near GZ, checked the hint and started to have a good look around. Was inspired to look just a little bit further and noticed something a little bit out of place. Very clever camo! TFTC, Biggles.
Blown away be the number of camping vehicles here, easily 30 or more. Didn't spend too much time looking as wasn't really sure about the co-ords, published ones didn't look overly promising.
Oh my, that is sneaky !
GPS was seemingly not struggling as suggested, went back 3 times with same result. grr.
Then, once I knew who the C.O.is, I was better armed for a return visit.Found the bligher in a spot I had previously "looked" Container not what I expected either!
Guess it depends on the conditions and GPS ,but I had S42 16.266 E173 44.255 That said, published coords may be better another day.
Beaut spot. Heaps of campers. Enjoyed walking the loop after a run earlier. Thanks for the fun N&D

Tried to find the hint but with overhead canopy the there was a fair bit of play with my reading. I'd be curious if anyone else can tumble this one!
