Found It!Spent a bit too long searching the wrong stump here then eventually moved on to the right one and found the cache. Was slightly to the north of where the GPS was taking me. Then some random person (a local?) pulled up, came over and asked what I was up to. Turns out he was aware of Geocaching but didn't know there was a cache here.TFTC
We stopped on the side of the road and headed into the bush to search for the cache. GZ was found pretty quickly and we soon had our name in the log. The cache was a bit wet inside, but otherwise safe. Being maths needs it was interesting to read about the choice behind this location. We will have to keep an eye out for other similar spots around the country. Thanks for the cache!
Adelaide to Brisbane the long way.Day Six: Newcastle to Casino.Weather: perfect for geocaching! One cache close enough to the highway to attempt in the dark. The weeds and grasses are pretty high out here, but it didnt take long to spot a likely host, and the cache therein. The stars are brilliant out here. Try turning all your lights off for ten minutes if you are out this way after dark like I was. There was no other traffic. Thanks for this cache Griffo.
All in good condition. Log a little damp. Never noticed the confluence, so nice of you to point it out and mark it with a cache. Thanks
Grass is too long is almost as tall as me it’s 29 degrees so not doing it this time of the year.
Found 10/16 so far today another (2) work trip from grafton-mount Tamborine. 6/11 out of the 10/16 were Clearance way series caches.

Heading to Casino for caching and a game of golf, couldn't go past this one with the interesting coords. TFTC
Logging late, I found this last week while on my way back from casino on a work related trip. I had been talking up coming with a new muggle friend so figured we would take the time to grab a find so I could explain more easily. Not sure if she will join up but at least didn't fall over while walking to the cache, as usual I picked the non geotrail way to start with. Iys al so much easier once you have the cache in hand isn't it.

Spending the day inCacino before attending a rally in Kyogle, unrelated to geocaching. Headed south to pick up a few caches because I will be spending the next 4 to 5 days to the north of Casino. It not very often you get to find caches at these special locations and it's always a thrill when you do. Well for me it is anyway. TFTC..
Dayboro QLD Mega - Day Three:
The third day of our mega road trip with buhfuhguh!
Up bright and early in Port Macquarie, we didn't get any caches here the night before so spent a small amount of time getting some interesting ones in the area before heading north. We were due to stay the night in Casino, NSW, our last night before heading over the border!
A long day today, our first and last cache finds were exactly 12 hours apart! Some of which was in pouring rain, but a great day!
---
This Cache:
The name of this cache caught our eye, we do love a degree of confluence! I find these caches to be quite interesting / unique as it's rare to find a cache with such coordinates, especially given this one is right on the edge of a highway!
Thanks for the fun A quick find in the wet / dark at 7:40pm as we were finishing our drive to Casino

Found during my Mega Roadtrip to the Dayboro Mega with Loci612, with many Earthcaches, Virtuals, larges and LGA's with around 300 finds in total it was a massive trip. Thanks for the cache and being part of the journey.

Dayboro trip. Day 5. My time In Waughope and Port Macquarie had come to an end and today was a driving day to Casino via Grafton and Coffs Harbour. Mostly highway driving till the crossing of Coffs Harbour. The bypass cannot come soon enough. I managed to find caches in four of my last six non-Sydney Counties and even made it to Casino in time to log before dinner. The trip is in flux with Covid, but the days so far have been fun.
It is always nice to get close to a confluence, even if there is not much else about the spot.
Thanks.

How cool is this confluence! I'm glad a cache has been placed here to point it out. Thanks.
Last day of my fun weekend adventure with Mrs Slow Puncture. Time to start heading for home, of course we made sure to stop off and create more smileys on our journey north.
Last one for the day. It was getting late and we still had a couple of hours travel to go. So this was our “just one more” cache.
The title got my interest, it’s always great to find a confluence, well as close as you can get anyways. At GZ it didn’t take long to have the beasty in hand. We left our scribble and replaced the container as it had been found.
Thanks for the cache Griffo and Fergclan

Sunday. This was the last cache collected by NyssaFlutterby and myself on the way home from NSW to Qld. We had had the best weekend, collecting some amazing caches. Nyssa spotted this cache and as it was a Griffo cache, we had to collect it. A fantastic cache to finish up on and a wonderful way to pay tribute to Griffo.
This was the 15th of 15 caches found on this outing.

After a pit stop overnight at Taree, allrounder and I continued on our way to Brisbane. As we left earlier today we decided if there was a quick stop and grab without having to detour too much we would have a look.
Having seen this pop up on the map while we were in service (service in and out along here) we lost our GPS for a time. It came back on with 500m to GZ. We hadn’t originally planned on coming this way to Brisbane and seeing all the burnt ground/trees is devastating. A quick find (took a minute and half) and we were back on the road.

Took a degree of time to find this one. RIP Griffo, thanks for all of the hides you had
We are heading south from Casino today, gradually making away from Brisbane to Canberra via a few of the back roads.
Today’s destination is Nambucca heads. It is lovely to take some different roads on this trip and allow a few extra days travel and also to be able to take time to collect a few geocaches along the way. This road is very beautiful with tall straight eucalypt gums lining it.
Thanks Griffo.

On our way south for a few days camping in NSW we decided to stop and grab this special cache. We haven’t found too many of these rather rare confluence caches. Cache was well hidden in its hidey hole but quickly found and log signed. All good with this one.
Thanks heaps for the cache.

while on the way home from a successful job interview I couldn't stop myself from doing some Tresurer hunting. A lovely spot on the highway. TFTC
Finally a find after 3 DNFs! Thanks for the info and hide. On a road trip with muggle mates and heading back to Sydney. TFTC
Logged three weeks ago but no reception on device. Another great find. Thanks for hiding this cache for our enjoyment Griffo

What a beautiful heart felt message from Matty. It was so lovely to meet you last year at the flim event. Thank you Griffo for all you have done in northern Rivers geocaching. May your caches be a get remberence of you. Tfct
Griffo mate, I remember when you placed this one. I don't know why, but I've never got to finding it yet. I've found all your other caches up here - haven't done the two in Kempsey yet. After all the shit this morning I just wanted to do this cache so I made my way from Lismore where I had just had a coffee with Sue. We told some stories, and it looks like I'll be inheriting the chief roll as her technical support specialist now that you're not here anymore mate
I found the cache nice and easily, and then sat on the hint for a bit of quiet contemplation. Thanks for all you have done over the years mate. I've made it up a lot of peaks with the inspiration you've given me. I would have loved to do the Stinson or Boston Bomber with you mate. I'm kicking myself now that I missed the chance.
Anyway mate, you'll be remembered always - for your humour, fast wit and always ready to make time to help others. You were such good company and it's gonna take me a while to get used to you not being here anymore. It was really good to find one of your cached today, and the location was peaceful and a great spot to take a few minutes out to think.
We'll make sure to look after your stashes as if they were our own Griffo mate.
See you on the flip side.

TFTC! Absolutely love it! A geocache between Grafton and Casino, out in the middle of nowhere. Broke up my drive. Saw this one on my travels south to Coffs Harbour, but was on the wrong side of the road. Decided to punch it in the GPS to find on the way back home to Qld. Thank you.
On our way home on the Summerland Way, dropped in to find this one, quick find, signed log and replaced. Thanks to Griffo.
TFTC,
Not quite an accurate location like some of those placed by WanAus.
It is however a good start and the CO should be proud.
Visited trackables.

A nice quick find as we detoured through casino on our way north to Queensland.
Thanks Griffo for placing this cache.

We came across your cache, Griffo, after our geocaching holiday in Canberra. Today we are on the way home and stopped by to find your cache
A degree of ..... issued forth towards to CO for all the hidden holes I found in the long grass on the way in.
All good with the cache.
Log signed and replaced at 4:54 pm on 15 March 2018. TFTC.

Today with our little caravan in town we left Brooms Head and decided to take the road less travelled to Casino. It was great to find this cache we enjoyed seeing the rural countryside and the different stops. Thankyou Griffo for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area
Always happy to find a degree confluence cache. It’s pretty to see. Found the cache quickly and happily signed the log. While geo hubby was doing that I let the gps lead me in circles to get the co-ords exact. A couple of meters over that way, get there then over that way 5 m. No, that’s not right, now 4 m over there. Get there that’s not right either. Wandered about some more until finally everything was exact and looked beyond the gps in the hand and ahahaha I was standing right at the cache. Excellent Griffo. Thanks for the fun!
On my way back to Canberra from Brisbane. Taking a scenic route off the main highways. A quick find, TFTC.
Used the GPS on my phone while driving back to Brissy from the Entrance on New Year's Day, one eye on the the count down to 29. I thought this had been logged but apparently not. Racing the rain and found it just before the downpour. No cat lady out today!
I always learn something new when caching. Took a bag of buttons and left a book about destiny. TFTC
Yay! Another degree confluence. Sad about the property owner who rushed out when she saw us fossicking in the grass - her kitty was missing and she thought we may have seen it. No kitty, but we taught her about the degrees on her property and about geocaching
A quick park and grab as we work our way to Casino for a day of Caching. Many thanks for bringing us to this location. TNLN SL TFTC
Interesting concept to use for a placing ... guess there must be more around the state?
The surrounds were typical aussie scrub; a great country road to get there.
The cache was snugly concealed.
TFTC Griffo.

Had to give this one a miss the first time through here as something close behind me. Not a lot of room to pull up on side of road safely so need to not have anyone thundering down on your tail when slowing down to pull off road. Second time was clear so was able to pick this one up. Lovely area, nearby at Myrtle Creek is one of my favorite camp grounds at the Bison Park. xxx
While signing the log i got covered in about 50 ants. I screamed and jumped round like a baby! But i signed the log :')

Out for a caching day with Diamonjs. Easy find and enjoyed learning about confluences. TFTC.
I have a BIG milestone coming up and am needing to get the numbers just right for the correct week-end.
So a big day out caching is needed. I basically have gone from Maclean to Grafton to Casino to Lismore today for about 50 caches.
I found the first cache just before 6am and made the last find for the day just before 5pm.
After a late breakfast in Grafton it is time to head north.
Heading to Casino I made several detours off of the main road for caches.
A quick find here as I approach Casino.
Thanks for all of the caches today.

I know what a degree confluence is
And have even found a few caches hidden at them.
But this claim to a confluence is only half thought out [:o]
Sure it's on the 29th parallel, but that is all that is good about the location !!
By the side of a busy road with little room to pull off to the side safely, I scurried across the road to find the cache.
A few locals were cutting up timber nearby with chainsaws !!
I don't think they noticed me
And so I can claim a smilie on half a confluence
At least the GPS showed half a row of zeros
Not nearly as exciting as a full house of zeros

Found by Mary & David, at 0925. Always interested to see the numbers line up like this. A pretty area. Our thanks to Griffo.
Found at 11:56 AM GAFF1 at a distance of 9 metres .
Ha! So is the cache actually on the southern confluence now that we find it is 9 metres from GZ Oh I see that the confluence is on private property so it doesn't matter in any case [^]
Thanks Griffo.
