Forgot to look at recent activity and had not seen that this one was last logged as a DNF. Definitely gone
This cache is no more. Totally burned out by the controlled burn yesterday. All I found was the spiral wire from the top of the log.
After going up to the trig and back down I got to this one just as it was getting dark. I didn't actually see any kangaroos here but heard plenty (and saw plenty of others just nearby).
An easy find in a neat spot. TFTC

Found while out and about today. Certainly a pleasant area for a walk but the wind was a bit of a pain. Cache in good order. Thanks izfiz
Saw lots of roos in other areas. Not so many here but could see the signs of them. TFTC izfiz.

K is for... kangaroo corner
I'm finally catching up on logging my finds from earlier in the year. I hope I've got all the dates right, but I've definitely found all of these caches and kept my streak going as long as I'm logging it.
This was my eleventh cache in an attempted alphabet streak (I only made it to W). I intend to have another go at an alphabet streak later in the year.

12 noon - My second find for today (after a DNF - well more of a shall not find as I'm NOT climbing any trees). Typically I went half way up the hill only to go half way back down again.
A beautiful bit of bush and quite different from the rest of our caching journey on Wanniassa Hills.
And it was nice to get out of the sun (Mad Ridgeo-pups and geocachers out in the noonday sun).
Didn't spy any roos here, but saw a few out in the clearings. Such a maze of little criss-crossing paths. I ignored them all and just headed straight up and back to the path and onwards to "Wanniassa High". TFTC izfiz

Took the cross country route from home to find this cache, which proved to be something of a mistake, with LOTS of spiderwebs in my path. I ended up walking with a stick waving in front of me, as a slight improvement, but I still ended up collecting a few! When I got to GZ I was surprised at the choice of cache name, because it didn't seem very appropriate, but just after replacing the cache I looked up and there were a couple of roos that made their presence known to me. I then made my way up to the trig to find a less webby way home, albeit still not without some dramas. TFTC - Feb now filled on my caching calendar.
Moving right along on my after work caching loop around the area and this one was the next stop
This certainly is kangaroo corner-saw a few roos out on the gassy clearing and then as I was making my way through the scrub to GZ, I noticed evidence of their resting spots under the trees. Nice, protected area for them here
Once at GZ it was a nice easy find and sign before continuing on for more
Thanks for the hide, izfiz

Today my grandad and I went on a caching adventure around Wanniassa Hills.
We approached this cache by coming down the mountain from the trig. We bashed our way through the scrub and finally made it to GZ. There was a light drizzle earlier in the day, so the vegetation was quite damp. We didn't see any kangaroos, though we did see lots of insects. The cache was quickly found; uncovered (the rocks had been dislodged). I signed the logbook and replaced.
Our thanks to izfiz.

3rd of 10 for the day, found during a wander around Waniassa Hills.
We approached from the path to the trig. This meant wandering downhill through scrub and rocks to a barely hidden cache. A muggle had found and signed the log, leaving a 5 thingy note from Myanmar for swaps. SL, hid the cache where it was probably supposed to go (ie. better hidden) and zipped back up the hill...

My fierce hunting GeoSchnauzer smelt but didn't see the kangaroos, and went into hunting mode. Lucky she was on the GeoDogString!!! It was a very pleasant walk getting towards dusk as we found this cache, good clue!! Lovely views also through the trees and over the Brindabellas. Thanks for this cache, it's a beauty!!
Happy to make this a quick find for the afternoon cache run before it got to dark, TFTC izfiz
547 Found with Plofessor. Hint helped us zero in on GZ straight away. Nice little spot. Tks izfiz!
As I approached this one, I was amazed at all the tracks in the bush through here. None seemed to go very far though. Maybe it is the kangaroos that traverse through the area that have left them. Left TB SL TFTC
A little bit of a walk through the scrub little bit rough but found it in the end a nice cache. thanks
One of two caches found before dark this evening. I took the TB 'Angel Bear'. TFTC.
Hooray.

Up and down from the nearby bird's nest cache. Jr Cachehunter no. 1 once again made a quick grab at GZ.
On our way back up to the fire trail we saw a massive, almost black kangaroo. A very impressive specimen of kangaroo!

Too good of an Autumn day not to be out and about. Great views around here, we had collected others around the area and so we decided to tick off as many as our legs would allow us. No kangaroo's here today, TFTC

funny little name, was hoping it would be on a street corner and easy park and grab but nope, still, not too far from the nearby caches. tftc
I think I tackled this is the hard way. I went up, then I went down, and then had to go up again. TFTC
We went for a lovely walk in the dark with the dogs even at 10:30. It was quite warm and good to get outside tonight. Thanks izfiz. Cheers
Quick log sign for this one as I was getting bitten my a March fly, he picked on the wrong fraggle as I got him good! A lovely walk up the hill with three caches in hand TFTC!
'2013: 31 Days In A Row' - Spotted as we approched GZ, so the youngest geokid was happy to search and retrieve on his own. Swaps were made, and then we were on our way back down the hill again before more animals attacked Fraggles. TFTC
On our way from checking out some birds we now checking out some jumping marsupials. Using our powers combined we made the find. TFTC.
Been intending to head to grab this one for quite a while but never quite got around to it. Walked over from the birds nest nearby and after following a nice little track we found ourselves at GZ. With my looking in one spot, and shinydragon looking in another it wasn't long before shinydragon had the cache in hand.
A lovely bit of bush, always amazing how quiet it can be up here but so close to the city. TFTC.

448. Very annoying to get to, as we approached from the top of the hill. But the find was made in the end. Thanks again, izfiz
Found on a nice day around Fadden. After the walk down the hill, the cache was quickly spotted. Peaceful area - there were no kangaroos today, but there was lots of poo! Nice cache! TNLN. TFTC izfiz!
Headed across from the birds nest. Saw lots of roos on the way. Now back up the hill again...
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Well after a DNF on Tuggeranong Suburbs - Fadden I decided to head a little further up the hill and grab this cache. With GeoBaby in the carrier an GSP in hand I quickly came to GZ to find the cache and sign the log.
It was a pleasant morning however no Kangaroo's in this corner today. They must be on strike.

Sunday 15 July 2012 - cool crisp sunny winters afternoon with a cold breeze blowing from the mountains. Thx p2p, TFTC
Reperio at 0450.
Continued on the early morning walk from 'Waniassa Hills Birds Nest', and after following a nice kangaroo trail through the bush, the cache was soon found. Much like the nearby cache, this area is prohibited due to the roo cull and should be disabled until its finished, as I would hate for the next cacher to be fined or shot.
Gratias izfiz.

Quick scramble through the scrub to nab this one. Done on a brief run through the area.
Thanks izfiz for the cache.

Popped by to find after doing nearby Mt Wanniassa GCA Trig. No sign of any Kangaroos. Nice easy find, thanks.
5321. [font=Century Gothic][green]No kangaroos seen by moi this afternoon. In fact, come to think of it, no corner either. What's going on here? maybe it could be renamed No kangaroo side of a hill? P'raps not. Went up and over to find the cache and then went up and over on the way back also. Very peaceful up here today and some nice views.

Didn't see any Roos today , but found a cache and a path tag, TFTC infix and Mr Roo for the tag
#82 This one required a thorough search of the area. Found whilst doing the Wanniassa Hills Circuit. TFTC
Found on a great weekend caching with J+J.au..Enjoyed trecking these hills. SL..TFTC
Three Thousandth cache. Was out with just a cacher today and this was my goal. Parked at the start of the firetrail and the headed up slowly as I wasnt allowed to sweat after having minor surgery yesterday. At gz we made a quick find. Then I had my photo taken and wahooo! TFTC
Went out for a short drive with Mr Roo, to find his 3,000th GC cache.
Pleasant walk to a nice cache. Right on GZ, which was a nice change (the way my luck's been running lately!).
Thanks for the cache, izfiz!

After a day of meetings yesterday, today looked like a good day for a stroll around a hill during lunch so headed off to Wanniassa to take a wander before the chance of any afternoon weather changes.
A pleasant stroll to GZ and a quick find although the GPS had me with a 5m error all day today.
Thanks for the cache izfiz.

After a disappointing miss on the nearby bird cache, I walked around to this one for a thankfully straight forward find. Thanks.

A quick stomp through the hills brought me and the geopup to this one. Thanks izfiz.
A quick run with the geo-mutt before the afternoon storms hit. Just made it. Whew. Saw evidence of many kangaroos in the vicinity and I'm fairly sure Elvis could smell them but they stayed well clear.
