Hunted all around but even with clue not to be seen. Saw piece of fawn coloured wire where clue led but nothing on end of it.
During our NZ holiday trip we stopped in Onerahi for one night, and on my morning walk this cache was on my way.

Quick cache and dash by Bird before heading to the beach to learn to surf. Could be disastrous! SL TFTC
Some one else was caching this area today and bet me to this one. Was worried bout dropping it
Easy find. Great cache. Nearly got spotted by some muggles. Managed to play it off. Tftc
Following a string of DNFs this was a case of 'caching is great fun afterall'. Found exactly as described. TFTC
Initially I did not realise this was here as it was covered by one of the. Trail caches but after talking to a local cachers. I was told of it's existences. This was the same for the Lob cache. This cache is sneakily hidden. And could take a lot of hunting for. But. We had a little guidance before we went. So. The find wasn't quite so hard. Thanks for the cache and another smiley face.
A neat hide. I was thinking maybe I would need to go down to find it, but then I spotted it.
Cruising around Whangarei, and its environs. A lovely fine day to be away from work!
Thanks for effort put your hides.

This was a neat little hide. GPS was working well here and the clues were great. Thanks for this cool cache
On a mission this weekend with Cats&Dragons, with a the main goals of reaching Cape Reinga to find the Virtual caches up there and the 35 and 36 degree South challenges, plus with anything else in between. We had a great time touring around Northland, and it is a pretty spectacular place. Being from Southern Northland, it has reminded me that I need to visit this place more.
The initial plan was to head up the west coast and on to Ninety Mile Beach (which was a huge highlight of the trip) and then down the east coast, but the plan was flexible depending on progress. We mostly achieved our ambitious plan, but due to time restraints had to cut back a bit from the planned list. If we had another day I think we would of achieved most of what we had planned.
Some of the figures for the trip were, 1600km's travelled in a 48 hour period, 37 hours of caching, 4 hours of sleep, and 7 hours driving up from Hamilton and back, with a total of 176 caches found!!
Thanks to all the CO's for placing these caches and showing us around Northland.
Finally getting the hang of spotting these containers.

This weekends little adventure was in the company of HKCB (as we'd both been given leave passes by our respective partners) so off we set.
The primary goals this weekend were to collect as many of the earthcaches as time would allow, the two virtuals, and complete both the requirements for the S35 & S36 challenges. Mind you this did not stop us working to collect anything else that we could find as time allowed.
It was a great trip with the weather playing its part so that we saw a great variety of countryside between caches and far too little sleep.
The result was 1600kms (over 48 hours), 189 caches (35 hours caching) & 4 hours sleep, not bad for a couple of beginners. Thanks to all the CO's and those that maintain the caches for us to collect on our too brief tour of the north.
Finally its Sunday and time to start to head back south for home, however before that happens we have a whole lot more caching to get through. This this series was the goal for the day before heading home, with a great variety of puzzles and hides it was slowly work our way around the point, through the chaos and then head south for home. Thank you for all the work that went into creating this series and giving us a tour of your part of Whangarei
Thanks for the placement

Day 2 of our Waitangi weekend road trip to collect a few puzzle series of caches that we have solved over the last month or so - plus any other caches that we can find on the way!
Finally a find! We need this one due to a string of DNFs on the OC series trail!

Another nicely concealed nano that took a few minutes to find. Ended up spotting on just the right angle and glad to get the smiley! TFTC!
My second find in Onerahi today. Walked back up to this one after noticing it was there as I was passing and finding no parking. Occasional car passing but otherwise muggle free. Took me a moment to locate it - nice hide! Worried I might drop it though. First to sign the new log! TFTC.
Found as part of my Post Mega northen road trip. Really enjoyed a part of the country I hadn't seen before. Thanks to all those who have placed cacahes to encourage us southerners to come your way!
A quick find on the way past. Not too much traffic.
Found at 14:58 - #4242 - together with aedk and Difool - logged as RAD to save space and time

Found with renelm and Difool, logged as RAD to save log space, time and trees.
I am not much of a logwriter, so see renelms, and possibly Difools, log for details.

#6231. With all of the OC caches in the area, it's surprising there is any room for trads. TFTC.
Happened to be caching in the area and drove past this one. So we pulled over and nabbed a quick find! TFTC!
Took some careful looking but managed to find it. A quick walk from the terminal while waiting for a flight home. TFTC
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
We are in my old home town of Whangarei, visiting family for Easter, and decided to go out for a wet afternoon of caching. After grabbing a few caches throughout the afternoon, we arrived in Onerahi later in the day to pick up a few more caches and some of the OC series. A quick find here, thanks for the cache!

11219... Taking a break from the OC... found with a splattering of showers to keep things interesting. TFTC.
This was one of only two trad finds today, amongst all the puzzle caches. No one around, and we had no problem spotting the hde. Thanks.
Another find on a trad. Pretty rare things around here, not that Im complaining. Thanks.

Normally puzzles are the odd ones out, except here in Onerahi, where the trads are the oddballs. A quick find and then back on the puzzle trail. TFTC

Up north for the afternoon and just picking up some local caches before heading home. Spent a lot of time around Beach Rd in my younger days when my grandmother lived there. TFTC!!!
Sorry there, since it went missing and replaced I forgot to change the size. Thank you.
Nice wee find after a pleasant bike ride. Would probably class this as a nano according to Geocache guidelines................
Micro - Less than 100ml. Examples: a 35 mm film canister or a tiny storage box typically containing only a logbook or a logsheet. A nano cache is a common sub-type of a micro cache that is less than 10ml and can only hold a small logsheet.
Small - 100ml or larger, but less than 1L. Example: A sandwich-sized plastic container or similar.
Regular - 1L or larger, but less than 20L. Examples: a plastic container or ammo can about the size of a shoebox.
Large - 20L or larger. Example: A large bucket.
Other - See the cache description for information.

Great little cache - have seen a few of these now. Up here this weekend with Fencarrows. TFTC
Was looking for a small container but I think this is a more a micro. Found with the help of Mini Mob as cover TFTC.
It took me a few minutes but managed to track it down. Thankfully the bus stop was deserted which meant that I could search in peace. TFTC
Took a little while but found it eventually. Nice wee hide. We only live round the corner and it's taken us this long to get here!
A bit of a hunt to find this one! We only live around the corner and it has taken is this long to get to it!
A quick find and an essential one too. The combination of D/T rating required to complete FMZs 100/100 challenge with a perfect finish score. T4TC!

Had a lookie here and not a cache in sight. Must have been muggled. I see Chylbn also tryed today. Muggles busy behind with house refitment, so not really an issue today. Fab view for a wee stop. Must be the best view in whangarei while you wait. Will checkout when next in town thanks.
Nice quick find as we drove around the area. One very big spider has made this cache its home.
Talk about a stop with a nice view Was having a wee caching catch up after a few days without...TFTC
Quick find while dropping car out at the airport for the husband to drive home on arrival. TFTC.
Handy place to stop for a quick stretch, shoe adjustment & cache grab before pedalling on... no pencil, so just attached one of my sig jewels to the logsheet. TFTC
12.35pm. Quick find. I would class this one as a micro. Thanks for the hide. David and Noeline.
Found on an evening visit to Onerahi waterfront area.Didn't need to power up the GPS
