Was glad there was good parking here !We piled out of the car and this was an easy find in obvious place, thanks!
On a caching journey up to the north with Supernannny and Net61 to find some caches. Many kilometres were driven over a few days and many caches were found. Thanks to all the cache owners for the placements. Nice quick park and grab on our way south from Cape Reinga. Great parking near gz. TFTC
On our trip through New Zealand today a trip to Cape Reinga. For us the most northern point we wanted to visit. Thank you very much to CO for making it possible to do our shared hobby here. With warm geocache greetings from the Netherlands
Today we visited the northmost Point of New Zealand. On the way Back we catched this little one. Thanks for this little stop. Best wishes from germany and thanks for the cache.

came by here on our trip and looked for this cache - found it. Thanks for the cache say the Knuffelbren.
Day 1 of our TA adventure, and it all started here. Great to finally get to Cape Reinga and get started on my long journey south. Wouldn't be much of a cacher if I didn't find a few along the way.Had to road walk past this due to track closures, and since there was a bit of shade stopped for a minute to cool offIt is also good to make a quick find of the cache. Cheers for hiding one here it made the day that little bit more fun.-- This log is trackable ! ---- Feel free to discover ---- Please mention, in which cache you've seen this code: ---- 3TABQX --
1.00pm. Took a bit of a wander before finally getting the right place.
Thank you. David and Noeline.
Thank you. David and Noeline.
Thoroughly enjoying our explorations here in the North. Beautiful weather, such stunning views and we have mostly had the roads to ourselves. So lucky. Cache is all good. TFTC
Easy find, but also the thought of hmm how many people did a wee behind here thanks for the hide
TaurusSix and I are in New Zealand for a three weeks holiday. We love New Zealand and have had lots of wonderful experiences here previously. This time we have decided to focus our attention on three destinations for one week each, all in the North Island. The Coromandel Peninsula, Waiheke Island and The Bay of Isles. We are very mindful of not focusing all our attention of the holiday on geocaching, however it will still play an important part. We are deliberately focusing on caches that involve some walking, great views, interesting attractions , history and general points of interest. And this will all happen in between exploring, swimming , walking, doing touristy things and relaxing .

Day 16 - Of our New Zealand trip and we are here in the beautiful Bay of Isles. Today we decided to venture as far North as you possibly can in New Zealand, Cape Reinga at the top of Northland ( the other side of the peninsula is technically more north but is inaccessible). Cape Reinga is the most northerly accessible part of New Zealand. We set off reasonably early and intended to take the State Highway 1 all the way, however it soon became obvious to us that there was a road problem and a divert in place (apparently there have been landslides ) so we needed to divert back to Kerikeri before continuing north. Our first stop was Kaitaia where we had a stop for breakfast and to pick up the adventure Lab there along with a traditional cache. Then we continued north, the traffic was quite heavy with obviously many muggles also having the same idea. Once there we parked up and undertook several of the beautiful walks in the area to make the most of the views and scenery. It was a seriously windy day with lots of showers, but not too cold and all in all a wonderful day to explore this historic and beautiful area. We collected the Adventure Lab, earth caches, virtual and traditional caches along the way and also on the way back to Paihia including the Adventure Lab at Kerikeri. All in all a wonderful day at the top end of New Zealand.

This is our thirteenth cache find of the day along with a couple of Adventure Labs. Another great lay by on our way back from the Cape. Muggles were at gz initially so we needed to be patient and took in the views while we waited. As soon as they were gone we quickly located, logged and replaced cache. thanks for the cache thedbees

Out on a maintenance run checking all the Nalawod caches I have adopted. Today was north of Awanui to the top. All is good with this one.
Not quite the time for the wander along this track, but enough to grab this cache. Time to keep heading south. Cheers

The weather was pretty rubbish, but since we had planned to go to Cape Reinga today and our future plans had been altered somewhat because of the sudden lock down, we figured we might as well head that way anyway and just hope the worst of the weather had passed.
As it happened, the weather improved more and more as we returned so we did a slow crawl back, caching as we went.
No muggles to be seen today so a very straight forward find.
Thanks for setting this up for us to find

So as we arrive at gz. I found 3 DoC people catching ants literally. Some or other ant that is a pest here. They got a lot samples. They said they will return and sort them out. Awesome
Found with Kiwiterm on a day out to Cape Reinga. Heaps of bees enjoying the manuka so it was a very quick stop! TFTC

With the mega being postponed a plan was hatched for some of the Team SEAC crew to head north for some fun. Today was day 3 and was a BIG day for a lot of reasons...we set off at 7.30am and got back to our accommodation at 9.00pm but more importantly NZTravellers were going to celebrate their 6000th cache, I was going to hit my 3500th cache and it was 6 years to the day since most of us first met on a caching day out to Rangitoto Island!
Whilst we were quite keen for this walk we just didn't have the time to do so. Had to settle for this cache instead.
Thanks for the cache.

Out with Team SEAC on a long weekend raid of the upper north island. This was day 3 caching in which we cached around the very top of the North Island. This was a quick find following the hint. Signed Team SEAC to save space. TFTC.
With the Mega being postponed we decided to head North with the team SEAC members and see what we could find in the way of caches. We based ourselves at Cable Bay making day trips to the various spots around Northland.
Our ultimate destination today was Spirits Bay and Cape Reinga.
All Logs signed SEAC to save log paper.
Mr NZT made the quick find here today

Day three of our caching adventure to the far north.....with a group from Auckland, venturing up as the Mega Event was postponed due to Covid - 19 and we just had to get caching.
Headed over to this cache, signed in and onto the next....Thanks for bringing us here, a place we might not have otherwise have visited.
Signed in as team 'SEAC' in order to save logbook space.

Recent groundwork has left the original hide buried under fresh dirt and debris. We have left a new container with new log in the most obvious hiding place left (actually the only hiding place left which suits the name). Good luck.
Found with a sister during our expedition to NZ (from CZ), where we explored part of the North Island and could visit our classmates and friends that we have not seen for several years, as it is here, in Auckland and Napier live ... Thank you for cache ...
During our vacation in New Zealand we did some geocaching. We saw a lots of amazing places and say thank you to everyone who shared his geocache with us.

Day eight of our 11 day binge trip we are signing as NNES. We are up North visiting our friend Gracie's GPS fun. Ethness and I are having a wee road trip to St Paul's Rock and Cape Reinga today. We completed the St Paul's Rock walk and caches that I needed for a DT gap. Up to the Cape and back we go. On our way back.
Yay school holidays! Time for a road trip with my friend Ethness. I flew from Christchurch to Wellington. The idea is to drive up to the top of the North Island and back. We planned the trip ages ago.
Thanks nalawod for placing this geocache 7829 find for me.
Sadly there was no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland.
======== NZ Mega 2020 ========
Planning for the NZ Mega 2020 event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. Thanks for hiding this geocache.
