WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 62 - Swan Valley Perth Day 7. After two days of very wet weather, today was cool but clear and sunny. A fantastic day. I headed into the Perth Hills to tackle two more counties. Mundaring and Kalamunda. Parts of today's drive reminded me of where I grew up in the Adelaide hills. Not to mention a big road with lots of trucks. I took a little extra tri to do some Labs around the town of Mundaring before heading hoe to sit out in the sun doing my logging and planning. I ended up only doing one of this series. A few bikes out along the path, but I had a good look around for this cache and eventually moved enough leaves to see the container. Up in Lesmurdie for a couple of hours finding cache. Watch out for the ants! TFTC
Taking a delightful pause, we indulged in a savory pie and a sweet donut in Kalamunda, refueling before heading to Gooseberry Hill in pursuit of the next cache. The flavorsome pit stop provided a moment of culinary delight, setting the tone for the next phase of our geocaching escapade amidst the scenic landscapes of Gooseberry Hill. The cache was filled with ants, but we still managed to sign the log. Cheers blob_!
Heading home from the bakery with my muggle friend and she stopped here so I could find this cache.

We headed out today to make the most of the weather to bush hike and grab a few caches along the way. Happy to say we walked away with a smilie TFTC
Managed to grab this cache between showers and trying to find a toilet for junior dkla.vk who was home today with a sorry tummy. So glad that this was a quick find tftc

Being in the area the D rating had us interested so we headed over. We waited for the GPSr to settle and then with a bit of searching we made the find and completed the signing duties. TFTC
Enjoying a great walk along the path. Stopped here, and cache was very visible with its logo face up. Replaced it the right way up, and hope it stays that way. TFTC
On my way home from the Kalamunda MTB trails. Normally have company but today was on my own so stopped off to grab a few caches on the way by. Found after a short search. TFTC
Found with axell33 as we head out for a walk after settling in to the B&B not far from here. A good hide that could be easily overlooked! Tyftc

Our first find downunder! our first time ever downunder!straight off the plane, dropped off the luggage at the house and then we needed our daily cache dose! Good way to stretch the legs and get a feel for the surroundings IMHO. We introduced our hosts to geocaching today, they think we're nutmegs, but we'll change that soon enough, haha. This is a really good trail not far from our temporary home so will come back for more.

Quicker to find thank park the car! Very pleased to finally have a chance to walk this track after meaning to do so for umpteen years.
Good to find this one after a previous DNF some years ago. Spotted this while out running the trail, so decided to return on my next run with a writing implement to sign the log - luckily the other walkers out & about left me with a good gap to sign and replace the cache undisturbed. TFTC.

Decided to head up to to the hills this afternoon to get my daily fix of caches. I chose the Kalamunda Flora and Fauna series as they looked like easy park and grabs. Not to be unfortunately, I had a go at three and found two.
Came here first and had a very quick find, seen lots of these before but this one blends in well. I think I just got lucky and the co-ords were spot on.

Found on our way back from the event cache in Boys. 10m from where we parked and easy to spot if you have seen this sort of hide before.

[:(!] After church and a bite to eat what better way to fill in an afternoon but to do some caching and this was one of them, parked the geoGrand Vitara as close as possible to GZ and we walked in from there, on arrival at GZ we had the cache in hand in a matter of minutes.

This is not the first of this type I have found but it is the first one that actually blends in to its surroundings. Excellent placement. Fav.
Out for breakfast with the girls at Masons and decided a spot of geocaching wouldn't go astray. I've been wanting to get to this series for a while now so today seemed like the perfect opportunity. We were chatting away as we walked and realised we'd walked straight past it! Backtracked a bit and found it after a short search. The log was totally full so we added an extra log sheet. TFTC

Found accidentally after a couple of minutes ... I won't say how, as that would be a spoiler. Recognised the object when I did find it as this is similar to the very first cache I found and I've seen a few other since. Not sure whether it is in the right place, but I put it where it was before the 'accident' occurred. Signed the log. Thanks for the hide blob.
