Given the previous DNFs and the Needs Maintenance note, decided not to even try finding this one. Hope it gets fixed soon.
Needs a CO check and replacement - see previous log- logs from two previous finders report that the cache has gone. A beautiful spot which deserves a cache.
Unfortunately this is gone - this is my kids ultra favourite cache
Farmer2some - please let me know if you want me to replace it with another cache as I in and around there super often

Waitangi Weekend in the Catlins. This is a splendid patch of bush and we really enjoyed the wander around - thank you for bringing us here farmer2some. Got to GZ and had a search, then a more thorough search, then... read past logs and realised it had been reported missing, by a previous finder too, drat. A wider search, just in case. No, bother, another DNF on the way.
But something odd - comparing my GPS logs record with the online logs for this cache - the Lions.v.Lambs log is now missing online? but from my GPS, the log reads as follows:
"11 December 2016 Lions.v.Lambs Found this one before. Popped in on Eastern riding run. It's goneburger. If the CO's GS can't find it put the GZ to rest or replace the cache."
Also see another previous finder Glenfelik has now logged a DNF so - always reassuring to know it's probably gone, not just our own poor search skills that caused us not to find it!

I had a look for this back in January and gave GZ a petty thorough search but made no log as every was very damp and I used a stick instead of my hand. This time it was nice and dry and with some extra hands we gave the place a thorough check over. Not a hide nor hair. I would tend to agree with Lions. V. Lambs in that it is a goneburger or else had a serious case of cache creep.
It is always fun to find a cache after one or especially several DNF's but did not happen. - Zeke & George of Hot Springs, Arkansas, USA
Found after a 10 minute search. GPS was a bit off but we got there in the end. Tftc
A nice walk, could do with signs/path markers/map of the track to know where it starts or ends (even though it is a small enough walk). An easy find once at gz. Tftc
I was there about 2pm and hunted for about 15 mins without success. I loved the walk though.
12.15pm. Another wonderful Catlins bush walk. The puna ferns were in great shape and the knarled old tree trunks of larger trees created real atmosphere. Nice views out onto the estuary as well. All in all worth a favourite for location.
A short search at gz soon revealed the cache.
Left a signature pathtag.

The start/finish of this track were not well signposted but found it OK. Quick find on our way around the loop. tftc
TFTC Thank you for going to the effort of hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity. Lovely Forrest
On tour in NZ! To safe space and time we logged as cg3 (caching girls 3)!

We woke up to see that it was going to be a beautiful sunrise, so got up quickly and started this walk at 7am. What a fantastic little area of forest - it was very atmospheric with the sun just starting to shine through the trees and then wonderful views of the lake every now and then. Thanks for setting this cache and bringing us here.

I may have gotten a little lost on the trails but finally found my way in and back out. At GZ I had a little trouble finding the cache as well, and then there it was right I under my nose. There was a very inquisitive little bird flitting around me while I signed the log. A fabulous place, thanks for brining me here!
Lovely little walk that even on this miserable cold wet day still was protected and dry. Gps got us so far and the final find was made using geo-sense. Tftc
Found on our 25 day New Zealand South Island holiday.
Apologies for the late log but with little or no internet as we travelled and only super slow WiFi in van parks I decided to log all finds on my return home.
found on the way North from Invercargill

And then it was Hailling. Old etrex does not like the thick bush, so just stepped out from carpark to get aprox location.
Happy Easter Hunt #22 of 23
Nice little walk in the morning and good hide - we had to search a little while until we found it (GPS problems...). Great free camping area next to the walk. TFTC!

Second attempt, hard to get good GPS location and no phone signals here. Found with Mr Potty.
We’re here from the UK on the trip of a lifetime with Geocaching as one of the ‘must do’ elements of the trip.
It would have been rude not to go for this cache as we were staying so close by. We were so engrossed in the walk we missed the cache on the first pass so had to retrace our footsteps to grab it. Thanks to the cache owner for this one - we wouldn’t have found the walk without Geocaching.

One of our favourite local walks, we always have to call in just to see that there isn't anything exciting for the kids - today we found a beautiful painted shell, so we swapped for that Thanks again!
What an awesome little reserve and some fantastic examples of native bush. We had no idea this was here and without the caching would have driven straight past here. Even with looking we had trouble finding the start of this track and it was only with some lateral observation that we noted a marker post at he corner of the reserve which denoted the trail.
Après une longue journée dans les magnifiques fiordland, nous nous arrêtons ici pour dormir.

Every day we are traveling around is same but also different. Today we had again the pleasure to visit some very beautiful spots and were also able to find nearly placed geocaches. I thank every single owner for placing it and giving us with doing this an other good reason to come here.
Mallorcatommy and I were on our journey through the southern island of New Zealand. With the help of geocaches we came to so many beautiful places, saw breath-taking landscapes and had, all in all a very wonderful journey! Thank you to all owners for placing all those nice geocaches!
A lovely walk on a grey day. One of those places you never would have gone to without a cache being there. TFTC
I really enjoyed this wee nature trail. It’s not very well signposted at either entrance, so I am very grateful the CO for creating a cache and giving instructions on where to find it. I’d totally recommend it to anyone else in the region. PC Sniff did the honours by finding the cache in the likely looking spot, despite me sending him in the wrong direction with my first GPS readings.
Found this cache and got back to the car right before a down pour. We then went on to get some great fish and chips at blue cod blues right around the corner. A great post caching snack!
Our le grande tour de Catlins, much anticipated.
Pleased to be getting in amongst the Catlins territory with this one.
Yep, a very impressive little pocket of bush. Tree ferns of impressive stature.
Cache in order, log signed; then safely re-hidden, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

Plenty of bird song in this bush and a cache to find as well. Mother duck scored once again.
suh a delightful walk, beautiful bush and so peaceful - gets a favourite from us tftc
Thank you for the cache. We were with my wife on long trip around south east Asia, Australia and New Zealand. The caches showed us so many nice places.
A very lovely bush walk, so windy near the edges, so sheltered a few metres into the trees
Found on March 26, 2014. Very interesting walk in the bush. Deposited a travel bug which I transported 8526 miles to reach one of it's destinations!
This one shinichi87 and I could find on our road trip around the south island. It was a nice walk in the evening before we fall asleep in our campervan
This one KullerKeks90 and I could find on our road trip around the south island. We spend three days here in the Catlins. This one was the last for the day. This walk was perfect for a little evening walk.. TFTC
We found this cache during our holiday in NZ. We would like to thank all cache owners for showing all beautiful places they have shown us.
After a night at Waikaka, we have this nice walk on the morning before going further.
Apres une nuit a waikaka, nous faisosn cette petite marche pour trouver la cache.
Thanks for the cache

What a nice walk. This was a necessary break after a long stretch withoutt a find. TFTC
Nice walk, GPS batteries died so had to go back to car and replace. Ages to find got there in the end.
Great little walk. Wandered around in circles a couple of times before getting a good fix on this one. It's hard to be ungrateful for trees such as these though!
Nice bit of bush. Well maintained. A credit to the locals. Found reasonably easy.
Our GPS had us on and we were not able to even get close to the cache - maybe the wind and cloud cover and bush was too much for it to give as a reliable reading - but we'll be back one day
This one took longer than it probably should have, looked in all the obvious hiding spots but found with only a minimal amount of covering and oh so obvious! How did we not see that sooner? Found with debsnz
Found it on the second attempt after the first was interrupted by a sudden downpour.
Found 10:36am , find # 1980
Currently travelling through the South Island of New Zealand.
Today we drove from Catlins to Te Anau via Invercargill, and found some nice caches along the way
This was find number 2 for the day.
A very nice walk through the forest. Thanks for drawing our attention to it.
