Exploring Warkworth collecting caches and adlabs. Arrived at GZ and made our way to the obvious hiding spot. Cache quickly found but log was a bit soggy. TFTC!
Rather a nice and fitting end to a bit of night caching. Very visible by torchlight, but the hint isn't quite right. TFTC
Take water. You must, before leaving, bless yourself with water. Normally before you enter and after. There is a neighbour that me and my partner went to and asked if we could use the tap because you don't want to take anything back with you. Cool find but yes water water water.
The Great Geocaching Grand Tour of New Zealand Cemeteries rolls on! Staying the night in Warkworth, rattll and I came for a walk to find this cache. The coordinates were pointing me to the middle of a large plot, which seemed a bit inappropriate, so I widened my search to include structures on either side. Found the cache about five metres from GZ, along a separate structure. Easy to spot when looking in the right place! All well in the container. Signed, and returned as found. Tftc!
We couldn't spot this one at first but once we realised it was an older cache we adjusted our gaze to account for tree and plant growth and after a rummage through the ivy we soon had the cache in hand.An amazing story G2 about your Grandma sitting right beside her relatives all that time. She didn't find them, they found her. This area has changed a lot since we were last out here, much less remote now.TFTC
Quick find here in this lovely cemetery. Lawns are rather long and need mowing. We almost got stuck in the cemetery as the gate got stuck and wouldnt open. With a bit of a nudge we were back on the cool air conditioning of the car. Tftc
Our first geocaching experience. Successfully found after searching the wrong cemetery first
Once I figured out that the app has a compass in it and could work out where north is it became an easy find... Thanks SO much...
I enjoyed reading your story on this cache page. Great that you found your rellies resting places. After finding the cache by the Parry Kauri Park, there was just one more close by lol. Thanks for the cache G-2.
I walked over from the museum to find grannies cache.
It took a little bit of circling before the hide was spotted.
Thanks for setting this up

Don't mind doing caches in cemeteries. Like reading the headstones. Plus you don't have to worry about grabbing the cache and someone seeing you. Lol. Tftc.
Thanks. Had to use a person's photo & your hint. Really is what you say. I was looking for a grave that Granny would of sat on.
On our way back home after a few caches in the area, and called in here to pay our respects to Granny Ivy.
Nice story to this cache! I had to scratch around a wee bit in the undergrowth to locate it though as the piece of concrete was no longer covering the cache but lying on the grass about a metre away. Replaced as per hint so it should be a little easier now
Nice one, it took us a little bit of looking around before locating it. Well camouflaged. Tftc.
We couldn’t make a right turn to head north on SH1 from the service station due to heavy traffic so we decided to do some left turn deviations ,pay our respects , and pick up a cache or two instead. Thanks for the diversion!
I have quite a bespoke and targeted pocket query of cache finds/targets and this was one. Parked at the gates and headed across the dewy grass to GZ. Cache was soon in hand and signed and replaced.
Well, this weekend is not what I thought it would be, but it also kind of is too! mrs c was supposed to be heading down to Taihape for the week, leaving on Saturday morning and coming back Thursday. This meant that my 'plan' for a raid out Leigh/Matakana way and then next day clearing out another couple for areas out that way would a few cache finds and boost my find numbers by certain prolific hiders. Alas, it was not to be, though mrs c encouraged me to pursue my original Saturday plans and I didn't need telling twice. I was keen on an on-foot assault on the Matakana 'cycleway' and a couple of other target caches on the back roads out towards Pakiri/Wellsford roads. I ended up with over 50 finds, quite unheard of these days and a mighty 15kms walked, nice. The unexpected rain came and went and I saw lots of stuff, which is good. Thanks all COs for their hides encountered.

I'm parked up in the motorhome at the Warkworth museum for the evening before heading out to Tawharanui tomorrow. It make absolute sense therefore to go for a wander and find these two caches along here on my way to grab some Mcd's for tea. Nice peaceful spot here, TFTC
Another find in a lovely resting place.A great way to mark your day out.Cache fits in well here.
On our wonder toward Whangarei found with ABCDF4,
nice peaceful area, thanks for the placement.

While I don't relish cemetery caches, I absolutely love the stories behind relatives who are buried there and a C.O wants to reminisce about their loved ones. it's a beautiful way of remembering the times we have had with them.
I thought I had the right spot, but it was Danielle who found this one, nice and easy G. Pity you couldn't make it to Kawau Glyn, you would have a had a good day too!

A group of us were heading over to Kawau Island for the day, but seeing as there were a lot of new caches in Warkworth I was planning on heading up early to find them before we had to catch the ferry over to the island. Gorby asked if he could come with me and I convinced him that I would be leaving at 7am.
It was a nice quiet drive up and we had plenty of time to find all the caches in the area and arrive in time to meet the ferry. Once we had identified the spot from the hint it was a quick find

Little bit creepy but no worries I have found cache placed in the grave itself while I was living in Ireland ....

I found it a little bit ago it was really fun however it took us two trips.
Took me a while but got there in the end, well hidden, like this one a lot
My objective today was all about the numbers - but not the usual numbers - I was after missing minutes to complete the South 36 Challenge (GC54X4E). I started the day needed 11 more and managed to get them all while dodging rain showers along the way. Found the cache after a short look around. Some interesting family history here I see. TFTC, Biggles.
I am meeting a group of cachers today to climb Mt Tamahunga. I left early to pick up a few caches on the way. I needed this cache to fill in a slice of the 36° South Latitude Challenge (Auckland).
I followed my GPSr to the open area near all the gravestones. I didn't find the cache until I followed my Geosenses to a different place altogether. TFTC.

I was heading up North to meet up with some fellow cachers to hike across Dome Valley. Made the decision to leave a few hours early as there were a number of caches I wanted to find around Warkworth.
All quiet at GZ, so I spent a bit of time searching, but in the end, I had already spent too much time looking.

Have tried a couple of times. Still can not find. Looking all around the tree and ivy.
