Logs
I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
I was going to log a DNF but I see now that had I read further down the logs I might have used a different hint and been successful. Another day maybe - - - maybe.
Looked for quite some time, no sign of it unfortunately, looks like there’s been earthworks right where it should be....
Had quite a reasonable rummage with the young crew, also using previous logs entries regarding rocks, etc. No dice.
Unable to get this one, gps goes wild when near cache site and area is quite large. Maybe next time.
# 1192 A wee little mission with the wee little DangerSAM after day care today. Although he was tired from daycare he still had the energy for a run around along the hutt river trail today. A few puddles and patches of mud for him to explore too. Parked up pretty much next to the cache to find the hide. I must admit, this is a bit of a nothing cache that hasnt had much love recently, and is only being kept alive by the occassional scrap of paper that is added, with the rest of the logs falling as shreddings in the bottom. Its not even a very nice spot. But it added to the numbers and provided me with a cache for today. Lucky i checked the previous logs as it might have been a lot harder to spot. Was in the first most obvious spot i looked.
Took a little bit to find, mainly because it’s not “nestled” any more. At least not by my definition. More like “at base of rock”. Anyway, a find is a find, TFTC
Day 2 of the Mega, and after completing the inside Lab Caches it is time to pick up as many of the caches on our solved puzzle list as we have time for. En route to the puzzle finals we picked up a few trads. This one had us going around in circles looking at places that fitted the hint. Finally we checked past logs, then looked down and spied the hide. TFTC
Down for the MEGA in Upper Hutt, Wellington, with a group, NZTravellers, HeMaLuDy, caching around the area.
Logs individually signed as "stik-a-crane" or "SAC" if space/time was short .
Time for the official photo celebrating the MEGA..
..thought the events were well managed considering a good sized turn out to the MEGA.
Thanks to all the CO"s for maintaining their caches ready for the onslaught...…

Previous logs are a must. The better hint is "between a rock and a hard place". Thanks
A day spent driving up and down the Hutt Valley, and even into Wellington. finding one or two caches.
Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers

Day two of our MEGA wellington adventure! The weekend was great and the Wellington caching community did a fantastic job of hosting the event and maintaining some great caches and the weather was perfect for caching! We started in Johnsonville and ended the day in Upper Hutt and the back and beyond caching to all hours of the night.
Had a bit of trouble here so read previous logs and used the hint given. Quickly spotted after that. TFTC!

In the area for the MEGA this weekend and found with NZTravellers and stik-a-crane.
Spent quite some time searching before I read previous logs to get an updated hit which made the find much quicker. Dry, but the log is in tatters so added a fresh piece of paper to keep this one alive. TFTC
Almost got run over by an idiot doing donuts in his BMW in the field nearby....but I searched quite a bit and almost gave up until I looked on the ground and found something a bit unusual. TFTC
Catching up on some second visit caches. Another one found. All good here. TFTC
Muggled last time I tried for this. Quick find on 7-7-7, after reading Yvonatron's correction. TFTC paua.
Had a good look, but no luck! A lot of debris & evidence of flooding from the two recent cyclones (Debbie & Cook). Will keep an eye out on future activity & try again!
This area looks as if it has been under water recently, but the cache surprisingly has survived. I agree that the hint suggested by cacher Yvonnatron would be more appropriate. Tftc.
Very quick park and grab on the way home from work this evening. *TFTC paua #99*
Found, thank you! Between a rock and a hard place is definitely the best hint for this cache
Out for a bike ride on the river trails today with a. Bit of caching thrown in! TFTC
The hint should read 'under' rather than 'nestled' now, but maybe it was accurate when the cache was placed. The CO hasn't been active in nearly three years so I doubt we'll see it changed now. Thanks to those who have propped this up recently.
I've been trying to find this cache for ages. Previously, every time I have come past there have been people parked nearby and I have given it away. Not so today!
Megan and I spent a few minutes checking out the likely spots before it was located.
Thank you

Found it easily enough. Log was full so just used a piece of pad paper to start a new one.
Sat and had a look through the comments... and then quickly found it.

Log book is full and hint needs to be changed as that hint generally refers to a different type of hide
Quick find on my bike ride along the river trail. The only one I did cos I was enjoying the ride so much! Thanks so much for placing
Thanks for the cache. I have logged all my caches for today as 25/6/16 Wrong date!! I quess I had a senior moment LOL.
#2028. Headed out after dinner to the Hutt Valley for two caches. Only a short window of daylight now. By Sunday, daylight savings ends and it will be many months of night caching again. Pulled up here and there were two muggles parked in a car but luckily about 30m from the cache and trees between them and me. So managed to search around without them watching me. Must admit I had a different idea of the hint when I started. But a quick read of the logs and I changed the search image and soon saw where it was placed. Signed the dry log and replaced cache as found. Thanks for the cache.
Quick easy find after reading other logs, definitely between a rock and a hard place
First cache of the day. Well hidden but the hints from others soon led me to the spot. Cicadas are particularly loud in this area today. What a great summer!
Between a rock and a hard place is how we would describe searching for this one. Take no notice of the hint as u will not find there .... Dumping ground area which is sad. Tftc
Enjoyed a walk along the Hutt River Trail and found a couple of caches along the way. Took a few minutes to locate this one as the GPSr seemed to take us in different directions. Agree that it’s best to ignore the hint on this occasion and look low. #1082. TFTC.
after reading the logs and ignoring the hint and description turned into an easy find. Cheers
Did not find! Hard to tell where it might be especially as a lot of rubbish on site.
Got a little thrown off by the hint & was looking in all the wrong places, but didn't take too long to find anyway. No muggles around to trouble us today, so a quick sign & on our way. Thanks paua
WARNING: While searching for this cache Geo-Wife noticed some used syringes on the ground . Fortunately I had read the hint so we weren't using our hands to search under ground cover. Also we were wearing sturdy footwear.
I do not think we will return.
I do not think we will return.
Parked up having some lunch and realised there was a cache 5m from me. Quick find thanks
Nice cache, thank you. Fun walk, but had to wait till silly muggles had smoked enough.
This had been one of my nemesis caches but found quickly today, helped by having read carefully through previous logs. However it probably didn't help that this is of a size often described as a micro rather than a small. Anyway I had had the right idea about the hide, just needed to think a bit more about the hints in previous logs and extend my search a little, and not take the meaning of the hint in the same way that it usually seems to apply these days.
A few muggles in the distance but not close enough for them to be likely to suspect what I was up to.
TFTC.

It is allways the right weather for geocaching! Today the wind gave us rain...TFTC
