Quite enjoying that Auckland is actually cooling down in the evenings, it makes for a refreshing night of caching! Well hidden, but not too hard to find. TFTC!
Quickie on the way home with RuthHide acting as my virtual geocache app since I had run out of data. It was possible she was very lenient with me.
We wanted a couple of quick caches to get to our next round number. Decided to take a detour after shopping at Glenfield Mall. Have attempted this one a couple of times in the past but its not a place to hang around for too long. Finally it was Hide that had a brainwave and found the clever cache. Very happy to get this one. Thanks G-2
Well they have pulled all the flowers out and not replaced so just weeds growing. Anyway not here for the flower display lol just the cache. A quick find as we knew exactly where the cache would be. Nice clever hide. Thank you G-2 for placing this cache.Log signed as B&PFind number 4845
On a geo-date with Mr12 while Miss8 is at training! Very cool hide, had to time ourselves between waves of traffic
Lovely floral design. Lots of traffic and a few pedestrians so you need to pick your moment.
Found in the first place I checked - although that was a guess rather than any skill.

A very busy, high muggle area. Took all my stealth skills to try and blend in. I tried a couple of ideas that I thought might work but nothing. Nearly gave up and headed back to the car, decided on another try and tried the same idea but in a different place and there it was. So glad I didn't give up. Very well hidden. TFTC
Logged as Glenfield rangers. We found this as part of our interest certificate
Nice, quick find. Had to try and grab the cache in between streams of traffic. TFTC
Coords and hint were spot on, this wasn't the easiest cache to retrieve or replace what with the busy traffic along Glenfield road but it was managed Cache is in great condition. Found this one on the way home from a piano lesson in Glenfield after a CITO in Avondale...been all over the place today but now to go home for the evening. TFTC #323
Good coordinates and a helpful hint meant this was a straight there and back find, no messing around near passing motorists eyes. Nice hide, thanks.
A quick lunch today left me able to tie up a few loose ends at work and head back to my neck of the woods to do some further work related errands and other tasks. I did the route back via a few caches over my scheduled lunch time and after Lake Road sucked away most of my time in the daily crawl, I was glad to get off the main route from time to time. A few more caches found and starting to fill in my mind map of where the roads etc link together (and where the caches are of course), thanks to all COs for their efforts

Found with GeohoundandI and Daddypig123.
Brought the girls to GGNZ Rangers a bit early tonight so that we could grab this and the multi. Finally found one quicker than GeohoundandI, although she had started looking at all the similar looking potential hiding places.

After realising I had not left the house for 4 days and needing a Geocache for my calendar days I decided to get up early and go and grab a cache before work. I popped into Maccas for a quick breakfast and then off to the cache.
Upon approaching GZ I worked out exactly what I would be looking for and had my hand on the cache right away. Lovely hide. All in good condition and surprised it had a pencil in it for signing the log. TFTC #1018

Was here once before but Master SethRaven was a little impatient. Here today with 2 FLYTim and found quickly. TFTC
Out to pick up a few caches with one half of KirsTim & yorkshirekiwi83. A nice quick find as we could see the cache on approach. Replaced a bit more out of sight.
With the utmost of trepidation we decided we would look for this on out way home after finding 'Disabled seat with a view' Our goal of the day was 10 caches ideally without any DNF's being the first caching day of the new year and unfortunately included 4 of G2's (I reckon we average at best a 65% success rate first time round) This would be our 4th G2 today and 8th for the day and two others we needed were close by to make it 10. Well why the trepidation. I've been here 2-3 times before and came up empty handed. Got out of the car and about 60 or so feet away and discussing with the wife do we still attempt it or wait another day. Answer we are here now so why not and we've got to go out later... and about 8ft away according to GPS I had my hand on something that I hadn't explored before and well what do you know it was the damn cache took all of about 5 seconds to find. Even better I hadn't asked for any extra clues from the CO or used the PAF option so even more satisfying. Given that we've been here now 3 times better give it a fav point as it is deserved.
TFTC BTW got the 10 we aimed for without any DNF's

Was confused at first and I actually searched one of the possible spots early on but then dismissed them. The gps kept on pointing to the same area and it was eventually found. TFTC
Poppy TB Visit:
Please take Poppy with you to your nearest War Memorial and photograph her at that site before moving on to a nearby cache.

With the Metservice informing us we were due for a sunny Saturday, hayleyfcy, michaelteacher and I decided to turn a couple of North Shore caches into smilies. After meeting in Glenfield, we decided to do a bit of a loop through Greenhithe.
On the way back to the original meeting point, we calculated that I was only 4 caches away from 200, so decided to attempt a handful more to get me to that milestone. hayleyfcy and michaelteacher had left me in a strong position to get my milestone but as they had already found this one and the next I planned to attempt, we went our separate ways.
Looked in the only couple of options the hint really led me to and I found it. Proudly #200 TFTC

We had an idea as to where this would be but it still wasn't quite as expected.
We had to be careful to hide our activities under the guise of admiring the garden and managed to sign and return the cache undetected.
A nice spot and a beautiful garden. Thanks G-2.

Last one for the day, just in time to grab dinner at the Glenfield Night Market. This was an easy one, tried a few things and there the cache was, Tftc
All day I had been trying places for caches like this. Figures it'd be on the last one of the day that it would actually work though. Took me a few tries as the most obvious looking spot was incorrect.
Finally stopped by this garden, which I have passed many times at night during rush hour. Today I managed to get a break in the traffic to make a quick find. Had to wait for a car turning around to replace cache.
After completing some home chores in the morning we decided to reward ourselves with a few caches in the afternoon. We set off from home with Beach Haven in mind stopping for a few easy and not so easy park and grabs. Had lots of fun today exploring some new parks, beaches and bus stops and enjoyed the many different hides from the CO's today.
Some damage to the fence at GZ, but cache found in good condition. Nice hide. TFTC!

It's getting a bit late which means a bit more of Team Tuolei staying in the car and me just going solo to look for the caches. That is the case here as I was unable to extract enthusiasm for a hunt so a one man band headed down to GZ to look for the cache. Late May is an uninspiring time to look at the flowers - the begonias did their best but it was fighting against the seasons.
As I surveyed GZ I thought I saw a decon container, which turned out to be a garbage shoved in a hole. Had a rethink about where G-2 would put a cache and found in the end in the second or third place I looked. All good here and thanks again, as always, for the cache.

Starting to get dark now. I've had enough caching for one day and I'm thinking about a hot dinner. As soon as I start to do that then I have to quit caching for the day. Nice quick find here G. Cache all good.
Detoured over this way on my way to work this morning to grab a couple along this road to continue my daily streak (Day #444). Had a good idea what I needed to look at here and found it on the third one. Nicely hidden and no problems this early in the morning. TFTC
We wondered what we had walked into when we arrived here and the place was swarming with about 20 people staring at their phones. It turns out they were playing pokemon and there happened to be a 'gym' on this spot and they were busy battling it out. Thankfully they were by the hall rather than where the cache was. A quick find of this one was made as there really could only be one place it could be
Ahh yes. We remember now. Got here to do this one and ended up being mobbed by a whole lot of randoms. Pokemon nuts chasing some battle.
Reasonably quick find on this windy day. Hardest part was trying to sign the log and not have the wind rip it out of my hands. I think the owner might want to move this as i see a damage repair job happening in the future that may affect GZ
Once again teamed up with McCuthen Cache Clan for an excursion into the "Land of the Northern Jafa" to see what we could drum up in the way of cache finds. Our more recent attempts to locate caches have been excellent but usually before the first hour was out we were wet to the skin (and remained that way for the remainder of the day. Today we were hoping for better weather, and apart from one heavy shower managed to acheive our goal.
Setting off from Mr McC's at 4am we were working to be home at a reasonable hour (according to our respective wives), and we even managed this, along with locating 62 caches for the day, so all in a success for two southerners. Signed as "MCD" or variation there of.
I will apologise now for the "copy and paste" logs but yes we did have a great day out and enjoyed ourselves and a big thank you to all the cache owners that put in the effort to keep the game (obsession) going for the rest of us.
Thanks for the placement, thanks for the cache

Out on a late night cache run, starting with an event and ending with an event. We signrd the log as HOAC. Thanks for placing this cache and making our night enjoyable
First cache for our anniversary today, thought it was further up so we walked across the muddy grass to the seat then the garden before finally reaching gz. Was a quick find by Mrs NZWasher, extraction by Mr, sign by Mrs. Teamwork (: thank you
#306. Good grief that was a tough one! It was found on my third or fourth attempt, and only then with a nudge from a previous finder. Either the 1.5 rating is too low or I was just clueless!! I looked all over the place on my previous visits, but it didn't occur to me to look where I eventually found it. It didn't help that it's such a high traffic area either - it's very hard to look discreet! Anyway, it was a very clever hide, bordering on the fiendish! Nice to have this one finally ticked off. TFTC.
A quick Sunday evening mission to pick up a few local caches. Have looked here before but better spotting today. TFT
Time for a couple more caches before it gets dark as I'm heading home. Had a sneaky suspicion and this was the second one I checked. Another classic G2 hide, very clever, cheers
Found this after a DNF back in January. I'm sure I looked here last time but can't have been paying attention. Great spot for a cache and still in great condition. TFTC:)
We found this one yesterday after a LONG search. Master 8 said don't give up so we didn't. That was a mean hiding place. So many muggles! But they were gone in a jiffy. Mama Drylie
What a great hide! found after trying to dodge showers of rain, my gps was jumping all over but once settled it was spot on and revealed the very clever hide tftc gets a fav from me
Had a look around but couldn't find it. It was at a high-traffic time of day, so that's my excuse
Tftc. I had been here before looking for this one but had no luck. This time we walked up to GZ and speedhog62 says have you looked here... to which i said yes haha then he finds the cache there... bugger. Haha. Oh well thanks for the cache.
Second DNF in a row today in Auckland. Found a likely spot where the GPS was pointing, but nothing there. Gave up after 10 minutes with two of us looking, as we wanted to find a cache before it got dark.
They must change the flowers depending on the seasons since the pattern was different from your photo. I was amazed at how they can keep it looking so wonderful even this time of year. TFTC.
Headed over to the shore this afternoon for a spot of after work, pre-event caching. I had a previous DNF here, while the cache was MIA(?). So it was a good opportunity, with the change of hide, to get a smilie. I quickly identified the nature of this hide. Still, took a few minutes to confirm my theory. All good here. Cheers for the cache placement!
Out street walking in the Glenfield area today.
Came across GZ and just knew this wasn't going to be an easy find. This was one of the last caches on the list today and I really should have come here a bit earlier. Traffic was rather busy.
So sit and stare at GZ I did, formulating where G-2 would have put it. And to formulate how I was going to search and retrieve. As I "rested" the stealth plan came together. As luck would have it, it was in the first place I looked! Bingo.
Quickly signed and then waited for a traffic gap and quickly returned the cache. Excellent camo as always. Thanks.

Vistra and I decided to have a numbers day and look at finding what we could on the shore. Day filled with all sorts of weather from showers to high wind, still kept relatively dry and had a enjoyable day.
Had been to this spot previously, easier find this time. TFTC

I joined forces with yorkshirekiwi83 and spent the day caching over on the North Shore - trying to make a small dent on the caches over there! Despite the busy location of the cache, we managed a quick find! TFTC!
Just arrived in Auckland to attend a wedding, also tme to find a few caches.
Today we travelled to the North Shore to pick up the wedding cake .
This was our 1st cache of the trip found it in a very pretty garden
Thanks for placing this cache G-2's Bodyguard

We drive (and run) past this area several times through the week but never did we suspect a great little cache was hidden. Flowers beautifully maintained throughout the year and with a great view over large parts of Auckland make it well worth sitting down after you have completed the task in hand. TFTC
On holidays from Australia and staying nearby, so decided to do some local caches, great little spot. TFTC.
TFTC. 3rd times the charm. New hide found. Nice work. Thank you. Curious as to where the old hide was?
The Mayfield Garden was in full colour, nice to revisit this spot for another cleverly camoed hide, many thanks.
Nope, to good for today even with a good search expended. First DNF of the day.
This is a brilliant hide ! Thanks so much Glyn ! Haven't seen one quite like this ! Co-ords brilliant !
Def a fave from me !

New Zealand 2103 trip for the Auckland Mega at Albany. Day 14, In Auckland Region, Northshore. There was not much garden on display at the moment, so I could concentrate on the cache. It was not in the first few locations I tried to search. I was running out of spots when I realised only one had one and there it was. Thanks.
