Another find on one of bubbles1971 archived yet viable caches. Log was a little damp, however, is signable. A lovely little church, just wish I had a bit more time on my hands the explore the stones.. thanks..!!
There's something about hunting for a lost/archived cache. It's like looking for lost hidden treasure, and adds to the challenge of geocaching. Quickly found this one safe and sound in its hiding spot. Log book was extremely damp. What a beautiful old church, so much history hiding just off the main roads in Tasmania.

Ooh another archived cache. Took a bit of searching. The GPS didn't settle so we searched without it. Took a few minutes to undercover lots of leaf litter and dirt. Signed the log and replaced it as found. TFTC.
On 2 day trip of the north with Nyssaflutterby so she couldn't resist helping us find archived caches. Haven't been here for years.

Heading back to Launnie the back way and stopped off to see if this cache was still in place. We pulled Spangle up close to GZ and spotted a good looking hidey hole. sure enough there was the cache. After signing the log I replaced the cache as it had been found. What a lovely little church and gardens.
Thanks for the cache bubbles1971

On the way to Launceston the weather isn't nice but not too cold - feel comfortable for the cache day... Thanks bubbles1971
Yep, quaint's the word. Found the cache but didn't find Sir Richard. I guess he had a bluff named after him - woot! (Yep, I'm back again!)
It was an easy find in an obvious location. Actually, a very nice location, for this is a lovely churchyard. Interesting history too. Thanks for bringing me here. I never would have turned off the road to come up here otherwise.
Wow, what an amazing place. Feels like we're in the middle of England. Thanks for bringing us here, never would have come here otherwise. TFTC.
We were here in January for a couple of GCA caches and completely missed this one. Anyway we found Sir Richard today and signed his log without disturbing anyone! TFTC

cache is wet and stinky and Log is damp, mouldy and smelly but church is beautiful of a night
Had no idea this beautiful church was even here so thank you for bringing us here tonight. Arrived near gz and sprung a pair of possums fighting on a tree branch with the headlights lol and another watching them from the safety of some recently cut logs. Found cache but although it was covered well it was all wet and really stinky inside. Signed log but had nothing with us to clean cache or replace log with.
Had a wander around the cemetery know many people buried here then found the cache bit damp inside wiped it out. BYOP. TFTH.
Gorgeous spot, been here for a wedding, a christening and now a cache. Very wet cache, dried it off as best we could and replaced zip lock bag. Log is now dry but swaps are wet. Took nothing, left smiley. TFTC
The container contents were vey wet. I guess whomever owns this needs to do some maintenance.
Found on our geocaching scouts challenge. Was a fun day out with the family JABs pE and Dr J. We sore lots of different areas and lots of different types of caches.
Great time out with the family. DR JAMES, SMELLY BELLY 8 and JABs Had a lot of fun and it was a very lovely day. Gained lots of fantastic memories and visited some cool places. This was part of my geocaching scouting challenge.

Pushed smelly belly 8 to locate the cache while I turned around. was able to log even thought somewhat wet. sb8 tipped out as muck water as possible before cache was replaced and we headed on our way.

Found[Time to Find: 7 min] Decided to venture out a bit further from Deloraine to clear up a few caches nearby. This was an easy find. thanks for bringing me here, and always interesting to read about the lives of the people who lived in the area in days gone by. Lovely church too.
This was our 2nd cache find in the caching run & we found it at 13:53
So this now makes our total find count 6120.

Time is running out. We leave the Launceston area in a few days, and there's still heaps of caches to find.
Wow there must be a lot of worshippers here on Sundays, they even have overflow parking!
[/blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Poor (Around 11 metres)
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks bubbles1971 for the hunt today.

Found by Summerhill Scouts as part of the Scouts Great Geocaching Competition.
Nice easy find thanks. Magnificent church. This trip to Tasmania going anticlockwise from Devonport is our third trip and the first in our motorhome. This is another cache, there will be many more, hopefully.

What a great old church. Didn't have time to find Sir Richard but found cache and logged in no time tftc
As we drove up the GPSr was pointing at a likely spot. It was, and a quick find was made.
Well kept grounds.

Stopped off on our drive from Launceston to Stanley. Beautiful church and surrounds. Even got a wave from the Vicar as we checked out the church.
Quick find once at GZ even though the GPSr was all over the show. May have had something to do with the tree cover. Cache wasn't covered very well so once I realised it I made sure it had a bit more cover. Thanks for the cache
Found with Tim Tam after getting info for the other cache nearby.
Nice day to be sitting under the trees and taking in the view.
TNLN thanks for the cache

Another cache that the boy found first. We nearly drove past this one straight toward the church. TFTC
A quick find in beautiful church grounds. Thanks for bringing us here. Took pathtag left spider. TFTC
Many thanks to bubbles1971,
This was our 8 of 43 for todays cache hunt, Find number 1434 at 8:55:00 AM.
We are here in Tassy, hunting down your caches. This is our first time here and the weather here is fantastic, just a tad chilly. Please keep an eye out for us and come and say hi, we won't bite.
Once we had the right stump we were right.
LPT
Love the church.

What a lovely old church. Haven't been here since primary school visits to Hagley School Farm. SLTN
Quick grab SL TNLN. Wandered up to the old church for a look; beautiful place! Wandered around to the grave yard and were pretty sobered on some of the ages on these. Many died very young, or were our age and barely into adulthood. Must have been a tough life. May they rest in peace. TFTC.
Easy find, nice location

Wow, nice little church in the middle of nowhere. Nice cute cache. Signed and returned at 2:20pm. TFTC
very eerie feel driving into the yard at night. Luckily there were 4 of us and I had the car keys so there was no way I was going to be left behind. Thanks for the cache bubbles1971. No sign of Sir Richard or his ghost luckily
Nice one bubbles1971. I'd been up here a long time ago for another cache, but it was great to come back and find yours! Thanks.
I'm not quite sure how it happened, as it certainly wasn't planned, but we seemed to end up in and around a number of churches and graveyards after dark tonight. This cache was well hidden, and I'm not sure I would have found it quite so easily in the daylight without a torch.
Seventh find in pouring rain and easily located thanks to description. I had enough torch power to ensure there were no crawlies protecting the location. TFTC
A very peaceful place on a lovely day. None of the residents were disturbed by our visit. TFTC
A pretty spot and an interesting old church. Enjoyed the alternative route through here. TFTC.
What a beautiful church. Very English. An learning much about Australian history from this lovely little state. TFTC.
Found this cache on a Launceston and Northern area raid, mainly to attend the event "Meet Butterfly Lady and Radionut50". Also it was my first time meeting Craigrat. I enjoyed event and finding a 25 + caches over the day (and previous night), although the weather was against me - It was bucketing down most of the day. Also found a sort of nemisis cache - "Power to the People" - one that I never had searched for, generally as I had always ran out time before finding time to search for it
This is a beautiful place we have been to before. Thanks for bring me back here

We know this place well as we enjoyed living nearby for several years. We quickly found the cache but could not find the grave of a young friend buried here only 2 years ago! TFTC
FlyingPigSquadron has landed! QEF in beautiful peaceful spot - lovely church which was closed.TFTC&H bubbles 1971
GPS was wobbling a bit but settled down and the cache found by geodad. Missed finding Sir Richard, time getting on. TNLNSL TFTC
Despite the very cold winds coming from the south-west, this was a lovely area today with the oak leaves just beginning to change colour and a multitude of acorns on the ground. Autumn is a very colourful time in Tasmania. The church at the end of the driveway was postcard like. Despite taking a few seconds to settle down, the GPS soon had us heading to GZ where a quick find was made. TFTC bubbles1971.
Some years ago there was another cache in this church yard and we loved the visit here, so was very happy to get directed here again for a new cache, and an excuse for another wander around the complex. Thanks for the hunt bubbles1971.
Visited here some time ago now....a lovely spot and historic surrounds. The gardener has been busy pruning all the hedges...not a job I like. Great cache hide which should last...many thanks bubbles1971...cheers.
We did not expect such a majestic church and residence here. Enjoyed a walk around the church and cemetery and under the old oak trees. Great views across to the mountains.

Nice to come back here for a look around. I was married here (can't say how many) years ago. The grounds are still beautifully kept and it was a pleasure to revisit. TFTC.
