As I was leaving Rocks Riverside Park, I had a quick look at possible archived but maybe available geocaches in the area, and this was on my way out. Subsequently, I had a quick look, but with the environment having changed in the last 10 years, I suspect this has disappeared some years ago. Thanks anyway Whint & Bad Dal for the cache placement. ---------- Today, it was a morning outing to Seventeen Mile Rocks, before needing to be home late morning to help with domestic duties and infant party preparations. An early start to attend and run Rocks Riverside parkrun before then holding a geocaching event, [Rocky Saturday Social](https://coord.info/GCAE7B0) at Rocks Riverside Park. I had time to visit a few nearby geocaches like [Below the shags](https://coord.info/GC3GK95) at Thomas Macleod Park whilst enjoying the fine weather morning.
I tried looking for this one about 12 months ago, and thought I'd give it another go today. I found it quickly, but then was very surprised it didn't come up on my app's map - so how could I log the find?? I then went through my history of logs and found the DNF entry of mine, which allowed me to get here, giggle. Then log the find. Can this one be unarchived for others? Tftc
It would appear this one is still in play afterall... is it possible to have it unarchived for future finders??
Yup, I know this cache was archived, and no idea what possessed me to look for it today. I was in the area and needed to use the water fountain. Caching is thirsty work.
Thing is, I suspect where I found it today isn't where the CO put it, as it didn't match the hint and would have been easy to muggle.
But... Here I am and ignoring the gardener who was making a lot of noise with his Bobcat, I looked initially at the place indicated by the hint. No luck! But goddadmn it! Pretty sure that's the same gecko in the same spot as last time I was here!
Decided not to give up as the cache was found recently. I looked in the least likely place that I think the CO would have put the cache, and there it was
Scurried over to a nearby sandstone block with my prize to retrieve the logbook. A mere scrap of paper (about 3cm) remained in the cache as it had been ripped. I took the container back to where Sooty was parked and managed to tear a neat narrow strip from my notebook. I put the previous log (what's left of it) in my cacher bag.
Now what to do? Sorry Mr Gecko but you have company. Put the cache back where the hint suggests it should be
TFTC Whint & Bad Dal!
Not sure if this is good news or not!!!

I had looked for this one about 6 months ago and had no luck. I was determined to find it and went back with the help of HNRooster. Better luck this time and also saw the resident geckos again Sad that it has been archived. Will it be relisted or is it finished for good ?
Suspect this cache is MIA and disappointed it hasn't been disabled...
Navigated to the park, found parking, got out, searched, got back in the car... *sighs*

For some reason I have not received any notifications on these DNF posts... seeing as its obviously gone and it has had issues in the past I am going to take this one offline and open the area up for others.... no point trying to keep something there when its just going to keep being taken
thanks to all those who have found it in the past

We also did an extensive search and couldn't find the cache. Muggled indeed!!!
I think this cache may have been muggled!
Found this cache a couple of weeks ago. Being school holidays, and living locally, we've taken the geokids to Rocks a couple of times since then. The cache has been there each time, but I couldn't find it last Thursday (Jan 24). I returned the following day and had a good squiz across the structure and I reckon the cache may be gone.

Last time I was here there were far to many muggles to even attempt. Today however there were none as it was drizzling. However, it looks like I just can't find Whint & Bad Dal caches! Spent about 15 min searching but couldn't turn up anything. I thought this one would be similar to my closest to home, park wood pimple, but I couldn't find anything. Ah well, another day . I should really head home now. Cheers Whint & Bad Dal
Great little cache! Was at Rocks with the kids last Sunday and had a bit of a look around, but it ended up as a DNF. I convinced myself that evening of exactly where it should be, and so I stopped in on Monday morning on the way to work and found it in only a few seconds... I couldn't believe that I had missed it the first time. I finally made it back there again to make some form of mark on the teeny log. It had migrated a lot further out, so I pushed it deeper under cover. TFTC!
Well the name initially confused me - but I see now what it refers to. Walked over from a nearby cache and soon was at the right location (the hint certainly helps). Looked down to see an iPhone and a set of keys (and more keys on the other side) - the locals out jogging must be very trusting - there was nobody nearby that I could see looking after these items.
I quickly had the container in hand. It could do with a new log as this one looks to be just a short strip of paper put in by somebody. I'd also suggest that the position be checked as it was easy to grab hold of as opposed to what has been written by earlier finders. Thanks for the cache.

Found easily after a lovely water play on a very hot day. It may had been placed in an easier position . No need for long fingers or equipment. But it might be out of reach for someone on a wheelchair.
sorry, didn't sign log as I have no pen. took photo as proof.

Took a long piece of equipment to dig this cache out of its hidey hole. Log book needs replacing
As described...
Read the hint but found quickly before getting to the pelvic thrust.
Thanks

Great location, the park is just lovely. We had a BBQ down by the river for breakfast and found this one on the way out TFTC
Easy find after an early morning walk down from the shopping centre. Cache was in plain view and log was missing. placed a slip if paper in it and replaced in suitable location. TFTC
Out on SES duty after last nights hail storm. Fixing 100s of skylights. Lunch was organised in this park. I knew there were some here but didn't have time to search. Anyway I looked and one was 50 meters away and easy. I couldn't resist and found it easy. Yay. Tftc. Back to work.
Found by Sunshine Toledo and Jinga2 at 11:46am. The cache took quite a while to track down but it is there. TFTC
Saturday lunchtime and the crowds were beginning to gather [:o]
But no one seems to be the slightest bit interested in this particular spot
So I wandered around GZ, poking and feeling to me hearts content for any sign of the cache.
As the parade of eskys, prams, scooters, mums 'n' dads and kids noisily passed by, I could have done cartwheels around the area and nobody would have noticed me [:o)]
The clue did help in the end [^]
I cannot believe I couldn't see the first few times I looked

Not sure how but i missed this one on the way into the park after a cursory glance while the kids tugged at me to let them go swimming! On the way back they were happy to give me a couple of minutes to find it. Glad the relevance of the clue revealed itself or it would have driven me nuts! TFTC!
I have never seen one so small. Could have easily missed except for fellow cacher TrickyT who had previous experience with these little fellows.
An interesting park, fairly well populated by muggles late this afternoon. We used the hide object to shield us from most of them. The cache was in hand soon after.
Thanks Robmc.
Thanks Robmc.
# 1011. So many lovely parks and bits of bushland around Brisbane, I am very impressed. We were heading towards the end of our caching run today and with three sets of eyes it wasn't too long before this one was found. TFTC
This is a well constructed and cared for public park and we came here late afternoon finding 2 caches for our troubles. Not too many places this tiny cache could be.

Great hide..I first thought I'd go where my gps wanted me to go and Iolanthek said that it did not seem like that would be the spot..after a quick search minus hardly any muggles we had a quick find..when putting the cache back muggles nearly busted us but with the quick thinking of my caching buddy we quickly put their mind's at rest that we were removing twigs from where the cache was :-S tftc
Out and about today with one of the aussiegirlz
Parked nearby and avoided a few muggles. At GZ we made a thorough search in every nook and cranny, then the sneaky blighter finally turned up. TFTC, Whint.

IPhone was messing up but found it. It was busy with muggles but we were like ninjas.
Heaps of muggles around today why not was great weather Hint was very good new it was there just took awhile to see it needed to make a tool to extract from hide logged it and returned tftc whint and bad dal
lots of people around had to be quick will come back another day to find the others in the area, fire works & music on tonight everyone is arriving from everywhere this is a great park TFTC:)
Easy find today as school is in and rain is about !!! And also we have one like it
Couldn't find this one after looking around gz for a bit. Looked at notes again...ah, micro. There it is. Great cache and one of my favourite parks.
Took me quite a while to find this sneaky little hide.
Great spot I never knew existed.
Thanks Whint & Bad Dal for bringing me here.

The day was a little overcast, so I thought the park might be a bit emptier than ususal at this time and therefore it might be a good time to log this cache. I was proved correct and found this one without having to worry about too many muggles. TFTC!
Found on a busy Sunday late afternoon. Had to be subtle whilst poking about. TFTC Whint & Bad Dal
School was just about out by the time I got to this cache but I manged to get in before it got too busy. Walking through the park with all my gear I must have looked mighty suspicious, so I was extra sure to wait around for any muggles to leave before searching. There was a young couple sitting near GZ, but were luckily facing the other way. As the coast became clear I went in and started inspecting a few features. Sure enough the cache was easy enough to come across. Pulled out the log with a pair of tweezers and made my mark.

Out and about on the geo-cycle today and at no time did I see Captain Terror.

Thanks for the cache

Yes well, I guess timing is key. After the publication email found my inbox when I got home from my last outting to this park, I was keen to grab this one. Thankfully I took my time because another one has been hidden not too far away. After another day in a classroom learning all about echo loading systems and points of no return I decided to scoot over and grab these few. This was my first stop and it was good that the area was deserted and I could search without being watched. Looked in a few spots then found the beast in a spot I wasn't sure I'd be able to get at, but got myself into position and grabbed this cheeky cache from it's perch. Added my name to the log and rehid, must be time to go test out a swing somewhere. TFTC, I wonder how long until my map gets another stain?
I was unable to hunt this a couple of weekends ago due the the area being swamped in muggles. So decided a week day might be better. Rolled up to see quite a few cars parked but much better than last visit. Nobody hanging around GZ so got down to business. Quick find thanks to the clue[^] Wandered off a little way to sign the log then back to GZ to put the little devil back in it's spot. TFTC W & B
This one was also on my list to do. Arrived at the parking spot to find quite a few cars but managed to avoid the muggles whilst finding the cache. Signed log and put it back. TFTC Whint & Baddal.
At 6pm there was only 1 car in the car park so I knew that I wouldn't be interrupted with my search.
Even so I had to search a few spots before I located the little blighter.
The family has had a few get togethers in this park over the years and my father drove a tip truck out of the old coral wharf many years ago.

Great 'little' cache. Visited this park today for a birthday party and afterwards couldnt resist going in a hunt for this one.
Once at GZ, I was almost convinced that it was awol but one closer look was enough to just spot the tiny cache.
It was luckily a rainy day so only muggles were maintenance guys.
Very glad this one has been replaced!

We found it! Easy to get to (with egginthesky), but tricky to find when already at GZ. Bear in mind its micro and have faith its not AWOL
There were not too many muggles around today so I had time to search for the cache. I couldn't see anything interesting and I put my hand into a few dark spots without locating the cache.
A PAF call indicated I was searching in the correct area but I couldn't find it.
A call to Whint on the way home and she will check and see if I have gone blind.

Dropped by to check on this one after crew153 could not find it and it was indeed AWOL..... I have replaced so all good to go
I have also heard it hasn't been placed back correctly, please be sure to replace in the same place as found thanks

I went for a run to this great park and made a quick find. There was not too many muggles around today as it was very muggy and overcast and the threat of rain was high. TFTC and the local history lesson.
Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
After work today we headed out this way to grab the cache and to revisit a park which we have spent many times at
The cache was quickly found, and it was great to see that the park is still getting new work done on it
TFTC Whint and Baddal, it was great to come back here today

Not too busy this morning, so found about where I expected the thing to be. Forgot to bring the extra fine tip pen and microscope, so had to be content to just put date and initials in the log. I would rate this as a nano rather than micro, but that's just personal.

We were driving past so made a stop for this one. Urr but maybe it wasn't the best day to attempt it!! With a lot of stealth and deviousness, Fangsoki eventually spotted the cache and made the grab. Enjoyed reading the history about the area - learn something every day. Thanks Whint and Baddal
Out on the hunt today with Lokipagan, this was our next target.
The place was very very busy today. There was a biking muggle standing at GZ. Under the guise of "standing out of the sun" - I was able to locate the beast. I retrieved it very subtley and signed the log.
Another muggle had replaced the first biking muggle.. so again.. I returned it subtley and we moved off. Phew. That kind of stealth is not usually my bag - but I did okay if I do say so myself
As we were leaving, we drove past GZ - and there were no muggles at GZ anymore Oh well - luck of the draw. A nice little park. TFTC Whint and Baddal

This one popped up while we were at the gold coast and we knew this would be snapped up quickly. I tried to get this one this morning at 5.30 am while walking geodog but was surprised how many muggles were out and about right near the gz . So Stairman1 and I came this afternoon and there were just as many muggles Our search started and took far too long Finally I located the little cache. I let stairman1 sign the log then hid it again. Had to tick off a find today for the calendar and was a little peeved when the rain set in. On the way home as I reviewed the possibilities, this one stuck out as the perfect grab. On terra firma, no grass, no trees, and I could park nearby if it was still drizzling... Excellent...
I pulled up close by and walked the lengthy 60m to GZ. Dressed in business garb and compendium in hand, I was never in question and on arrival at the location, I spotted the little blighter tucked neatly in it's lair... [^]
Log out and signed, I dropped it back and wandered off. All in a couple of minutes. Then I remembered the one way traffic around the park... That took longer that the cache...
Cheers Whint and Baddal.

*FTF* at c1.20pm (pub. 12.55) after being stopped for an RBT (luckily, I passed). Lucky also I had the self-control not to speed away.
Had to park a fair distance away and jog over, trying not to look too suspicious. It is indeed muggle central at this time of the weekend, so kids would have provided good cover. Cache is a fairly easy find and I do like the placement: should be easy to search and replace stealthily without arousing too much interest from those around. I wandered away behind cover nearby to do the business.
There are or have been a fair few caches in this general area, but this is a worthy spot in its own right. TFTC W&B!

To think that just yesterday I cleared this area out. I walked past that darn cache twice, even stopped to read the plaque nearby. I think I might come throw rocks at your house instead Whint.
Ah Tommy I do aim to please.... you have just given me motivation to have another in this general vicinity!!
Damn. 3.2kms from home and we r somewhere in the Tooloona circuit at the gold coast. Good luck FTF's.

Joint find with bowerbirds. We thought we could have been the FTF, but Teamtinda beat us to it!!! My sincere apologies to The Bowerbirds. I was totally sh#gged from a Rogaine last night (got back home 8:30am without any sleep). I got the prompt from Bowerbirds for the FTF, but I just had to recharge by eating my nachos for lunch!! Goes to show, not a minute to waste when Teamtinda is around. Anyhow, TFTC!!
