Great location.
Took the origami penguin and left a bug. But not a travel bug. That one was already on its way.

Better log this one while I remember as I didn’t earlier yesterday while I was up there. I didn’t know if I could make it to this one. I originally aimed for Borry the Budgie but when I got there the stairs had levelled out and I thought I could make it further. It didn’t seem that far. Obviously my sedentary lifestyle lately has caught up with me and I struggled a bit getting closer to the top, but coming down was ok until it started paining my knees. Definitely need to lose some weight if I plan to do any long hikes with many vertical changes of elevation. In any case. I chatted to a number of emountain bikers at the rest area and think that that is the way to go. Even met the dude who sells them in town. This cache was still in place and found after they all departed. Signed after GC Diver and Cachedin NQ
Today was supposed to be a mountain bike ride, but with a bearing in my pedal exploding I was on plan B.
With the bike shops finally open i was able to get some new pedals and about 3 hours later than planned I was off. I rarely cache while I am mountain biking, but with the late start I decided some rest stops would be good.
Met a cranky yellow belly on the way to this one. It had a go at my front wheel before disappearing in to the grass.

Nice easy cache. Found it together with CachedinNQ. Last time I was up here people were resting nearby so no chance. So nice grabbing it this time
Such an awesome cache thanks for the hide didn’t bring a pen but took lots of photos if needed to prove my find! Thanks heaps so much fun
We left our hotel with Mr 4ando saying this hike will be pretty easy I think. Parking the car his attitude changed to, I think I may have under estimated this climb and yep he had!
We did lots of rock scrambling, all fours a lot of the time and a couple of times I did not want to look back over my shoulder.
Finally reaching the top covered in dirt and our finger nails caked with dirt from clinging on, Mr 4ando goes, oh look, I thought that there could of been an easier way to get up here!
We managed to find all 5 of the caches up here before returning to the car to go and get slurpees!

Great hint. Forgot a pen, but it's a regular run for me. Great work! Great view!
Too bad the sun is almost down and i’ll have to do the other two another day. Awesome views. Great exercise straight up instead of meandering.
Geokids were given a choice of walking up hills with dad or shopping with mum, as one had birthday money dad was dropped off in Douglas for a 2 hr solo stroll. Negotiated the maze of tracks to find this first ok, dry and in good knick, disturbed some invertebrates, sl and pressed onwards and upwards. Tftc.
Heading further N from TUMUT NSW. Went for a MTB tide while in town. Great trails. Forgot to bring pen.
Coley and I found another one! Left some swappables for the next person. Loved the hike up here! TFTC <3
Hot sultry day but felt triumphant sitting at the top under the shade of trees! Criss crossed several mtb trails en route and marvelled at their skulls as they rode passed. Thx for bringing us non-mtbers up here.
Nice spot. Found with BlackPearl26. Cache and log in good condition. Tftc
Picked up 6 of the archived 'MS GYSO' caches along the route (only 3 DNF's). Check my logs for details as they are worth the effort and add to available caches in the area.

Awesome spot. This was my 499th cache and what a way to bring up the 500th than a big hike to some awesome spots. To get this one I had to wait out a couple of bike riders 15mins and then start my search, I looked for 5 mins before I heard voices and saw 2 girls who had ridden to the top of the mountain. So I had to wait them out, 30mins went past and they finally moved on and I started heading for GZ. Then just before I arrived another couple arrived so I sat on a rock and waited them out. Finally they moved on and over an hour had passed and I started looking again when another cyclist arrived, I was about to move on when he decided to leave. I finally had the place to myself and after 5mins had the cache in hand, I signed and replaced for the next finder. Thanks for placing in a challenging spot and a favourite from me. (I love the challenging caches).
The track was a little damp from the recent rain but that meant no bikes. wonderful views over Townsville. cache was in open so I hid it under something. thanks champs
Great view. Well worth the ride, just wish we brought a pen to sign in old skool style. D'oh!! Swapped a mtb flavoured sticker for a dragon. Winning!!
Went for a walk with the girlfriend. Nice easy find and got some friends into it as well!
Took geoparents for a walk today.....a VERY long walk in fact as we were confident at first that we found the right track ( trying to take the easier track due to mum's knee problems), and we walked and walked and walked and ....walked. Finally after what felt like hours we finally made it to the cache. Amazing views especially at sunset. tftc sl tnln
Morning walk up the hill. Did not find the Purple cache but it was a good parking spot.
A cool 20 degrees as we headed up.
Saw some mountain bikers on the way up, managed to reach the top before them. Cache logged and we could sit down an enjoy the views.
Thanks for this hide

Found with the Goat Herd after a quick rest from riding the MTB up the trails. Easy find, but brilliant spot. Took nothing/left nothing.
Last year I had completed the now archived GYSO series. As I was attempting the alphabet challenge with the caches found in order, I walked past this one and T/Gowa Views nearby. Today was a milestone day with 1,500 finds bagged. I love walky hill type caches and usual favour them for milestones. So after collecting T/Gowa Views for the milestone 1,500, I returned back up the ridge line and grabbed this one.
Once on top I surprised two mountainbikers resting, who did not see me as they climbed the hill. I waited for them to leave, enjoying the great view and the breeze. Once gone, I quickly collected the cache in the obvious location.
All was in good order here. Thanks for the cache, C2M. This was a great one to kick off the next hundred.

[green]Holidays: Day Four[/green]
geoD is still on his own with geoP still at work for another couple of weeks. Decided to dust the mountain bike off and hit the Douglas Mountain Bike Reserve for a ride. It's been three years since I last rode the mountain bike and five since I've been in this reserve.
This morning I had no plan on what tracks I would take nor what cache I would get, only intending on getting the one I ended up nearest. In the end I rode up Easy Street, then across Beefwood, and finally up The Long Way to arrive at this cache.
There were a couple of minor offs, plenty of stops "to admire the view" and a bucket load of sweat lost. In the end it was just under two hours of riding to and from home and a great way to start the day.

After a dnf on the GYSO power trail, we had to skip this one while we were already up there but came in via the suggested parking after finishing the trail. For any who think we're just logging out of order, I have the track maps! Found this one at 1:44:00 PM. Took the last steep bit slow and steady, certainly got the hearts pumping. We were very happy to reach flat ground again. A wonderful breeze and wonderful views and a great day to do it. Thanks Champs2Monkeys
Back to mop up the remaining caches located in this particular area with MattCNS after having completed the near by Power Trial a week or so ago. The hike up to this spot from the Purple Cache showed me how unfit I am these days. At the GZ, MattCNS quickly came up with the prize. TFTC TNLN SL {#289}.

It's caches like this that prove just how unfit I am! An easy find in a nice spot. Grabbed the trackable.TFTC.
Very nice spot! Superb views and so worth the effort. I enjoyed it so much I decided to start a brand new trackable here. We are enjoying the GYOS trail and this one was on the way! Thanks so much.
Day four caching with pprass.
Hol lee s**t, what a climb. The paths took us all over the place but we just wanted to get to the top.
Thanks for putting the cache here, Champs2Monkeys, it gave us a reward for climbing the hill.

Found at 12:33 PM in the company of The Drovers GAFF1. Gosh - we must have taken the wrong track after "Feel the Burn" because we seemed to be going away from it for a long time, so we decided to get back on track by doing a lot of cross country and using the geocachers "direct to the cache method" [^]
It was quite steep in the last 150 metres or so, but when we got to the top, we of coarse said - "it's worth it" and that every one should do this, (more so that they can all experience the pain rather than the exhilarating experience )
Thanks Champs2Monkeys.

Love your caches C2M, hope the GEO Pugs didn't have to walk this hill with you.
Great view, will do the other part of power trail another day

Great location and excellent view at night. Didn't really want to be here at night by myself but the view made if for me. Now to continue on my downward journey along the power trail. Cache is all good I loved this location and its a great addittion to the GYSO Power trail. TFTC.
Took a break from GYSO power trail to grab this one. Beautiful views, and had a chat with a friendly magpie while we sat for a bit. Found with parent cachers, H and T.
My super Samsung Galaxy S3 GPS Phone Navigator device walked right to it. SL TFTC Moving one. Back on time for my goal on this hill
We parked at the water tower for this mornings walk. From here there in no warming up, it is straight into the climb. The Cache was found safe and well. The views over Townsville from here are great. Cheers.
This one was found today while doing the GYSO power trail.
It definitely got the heart racing and the views from the top were amazing.
A definite favourite point here and a must do cache for those (like me) who prefer rural caching.
Cheers and happy caching

Found this one while completing the Power Trail, found the code coin here!! But had already finished the puzzle a few days ago.
Off to the next one!

Had a bit of a break as we'd conquered most of the trail, loved the breeze up here too! TFTC
Had never managed to get up here for this one but today I was on the GYSO PT so this was an obvious extension. It was all up from Go Go Go of course but once here the worst is over. Found it fairly quickly - how it survived the fire is beyond me. Still there's never been a better time to hunt this one.
6th find if this is part of the GYSO.
Dropped off the Code Coin GC.
Thanks!

Survived the fire! Great cache! Did the final re jig of my power trail in the area and adjust its path to cross this cache as it is in such a rewarding spot. More cachers should make there way up here and enjoy a view of Townsville from a different perspective. If my 9 year old son can do it then most people can.

By santa's son at 1730.... Thought I'd go for an afternoon ride and see what damage the bushfire on the hill caused.... Everything is black and burnt so my hopes 2 find this cache was slim.... But a got to gz and found the pile and wow there is was all safe and sound...
Great climb, great views, though my Natty and 12 yo Son decided this was far enough lol. My 8 yo daughter couldn't be stopped though so 2 of us pushed on and 2 returned to the comfort of the car.
Wow what an adventure! Had a stressful week and needed to clear my head found this one quite easily but the last 100 m was a bit hairy with a drizzly day! Had to do insane cache posses trick of signing with charcoal as I took my own pen and found it didn't want to work when I got there! Decided to try for Thuringowa view but with a rapidly depleteing battery and rain closing in aborted the search and got seriously lost on the mountain bike trails and came down the opposite side of the estate to where my car was left! Burned a heap of calories and cleared my head anyway! Lol nice spot for a breather to take in the view really is the top of the world thanks for the cache Teale! Took nothing left a zebra!
Did a quick trip over the hils today. Beautiful weather for the walk. Only met one mountain biker on the way up and a couple by the time I returned back down. If you follow the mountain bike path "Its a long way to the top" the gradient makes for a moderate walk.
Bit chilly up top when I stopped so I didn't hang around. Had a quick photo session then moved onto the next cache. They are soem good maintenance on the tracks.
Thanks for the cache.

Hey, still STF !
After studying all day I thought I needed some fresh air, so I went up to the Purple Cache in the late afternoon to do some maintenance and then decided to go further up and do this one. Glad I had the maps on my GPS, didn't know there were sooo many mountainbike trails up here.
Made it just in time for sunset. The view was great on a perpect day like today.
