I swung past to check on this one and to walk the geopooch, its all good and ready to be found.
A lovely part of Bendigo to explore Having had to return to Bendigo with mum again today, may as well make the most of the beautiful weather and get some smileys in the company of TeamAstro. Thanks bigsnuffler for showcasing this area and contributing to this great game for myself and others to enjoy. Happy trails!
Time to get away for the weekend, so a weekend trip to Bendigo (& St Arnaud) was organised with Geoturtle37.Today with the geo-scooters all powered up, we targetted the ORT & PPPT trails. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, bigsnuffler ~~
Thank you again for keeping this great series of caches intact. It makes for such a great trail. Found with no problems, signed and returned to where it was located.
Out and about with omegaman and ski pair around the Bendigo and Echuca area, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles. This is one of the caches found today.Logs signed as RASPOMThanks bigsnuffler for the cache.
We have set off on our annual winter escape but with no real plans other than a set of ideas. Our first stop is Bendigo, a place we haven't visited for any length of time in the past. There appears to be much to see and a good variety of caches to keep us entertained. We met up with our caching buddies Rebel Acts and Omegaman for a few days as well which added to the laughs and fun.Caches logged as RASPOM or SKI Pair if they had already found them. This is one of the caches we have found to date.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache bigsnuffler.**SKI Pair****
I'm hitting the road again with my Rebel Acts and Ski Pair to have some fun and explore new places. While I don't mind caching locally, there is nothing like a road trip for a few days putting smiles on the map. I had a great time with lots of laughter and caching fun. Today's logs are signed as RASPOM.
Ghihash called and it was time to start our season of caching (we dont tend to cache during the summer months for the snakes can have the bush for a bit) After deciding that we needed 2 cars we started on the 5km stretch of the rail trail. Lovely weather and other than the odd bike that we had to avoid drawing attention to ourselves a quiet afternoon. I had not completed this stretch before they were archived so listening to Ghihash story about the last trip was good fun. TtfcSorry for the generic log
I walked the Bendigo end of the trail today and checked on all the caches. This one was all ok so I put it back ready for the next cacher.
A bit worried about whatever else might be under here. It turned out the was a huge swarm of midges! We are visiting Janets sister in Bendigo for Christmas so an early morning wakeup had Brad out on the OKeefe Rail Trail. Did not stop for all of the caches by grabbed a few. On Boxing Day we will be hading to Sydney to catch up with the children J2 and B2 as well as the granddaughter. Maybe she can find her first cache while we are there? The trail was a very pleasant ride. And a beautiful day too. The only minor issue was finding coffee at the end of the ride but the coffee van in the Lake Weeroona carpark did the hob nicely Thanks to all the hiders and maintainers. And Merry Christmas 2023 to all
We have used the 1000 yard mound many times, so this was **great** to find. With emm. SL TFTC
TFTC - A few days in Bendigo. Attempting the rail trail today on my e scooter Cache is good condition
Geoteen was spending a few hours with friends at The Zone. It was the perfect opportunity for me to dust off the mtb & nearly complete the O'Keiffe Trail. I think I've managed to miss one
I couldn't possibly pedal past this one. Many thanks

Well there is an event on in Bendigo today that might involve some ice cream so a message to my good caching buddy GemmaSistema was sent out to see if she wanted to spend another fun day out caching as a lot of things have gotten in the way of us going out recently.
One of the best navigators going around as I could easily get myself lost in a carpark.
A total of 36 caches and a few Ad Labs thrown so a good day out.
A bit of Geowagon relocating, satellite maps and a bit of walking was involved to find a few more along this great rail trail.
It would have been great to some of this stuff happening back in the day.
We looked down the range and ge that is a long way to shoot and hit a target.
Thanks The Morris TFTC.

Found with Posums on our caching day in and around Bendigo. Easy find here. Massive rifle range. Might just stay back here where it’s safe! Thanks for the cache.
Started the O'Keefe Trail on my bike at lake Weeroona and worked my way down towards Axedale. All caches were found in good working order unless otherwise specified.
Thanks heaps for the caches and maintaining them for us to enjoy.

After an enjoyable trip to Bendigo about a month ago we decided we would check out the Bendigo area again and do a bit of geocaching which we are slowly getting back into after a pandemic induced slow down.
While having an early lunch at a local bakery I spied the nearby PPPT rail trail cache power trail. We decided to tackle part of the trail on shanks pony rather than our bikes.
A perfect day for geocaching, the sun was out but it wasn't too hot.
Thanks for the cache The Morris and especially the very interesting history on the cache page. Really interesting.

We are visiting Bendigo for a few days and decided to do part of the rail trail today.
Spent last weekend in Mildura and headed back home via Bendigo stopping for breakfast. Lucky we didn't go for a haircut! just the cafe, so far so good on the covid front.
Sunday mornings are Trailstevo and my walk day, 10km+ normally and a coffee, on this occassion a 6.5km out and back along the trail. 13km in total and collecting a bunch of the PPPT series. Thanks for bringing us to this trail, the weather was perfect and we enjoyed the fresh air.

Decided to escape town for a few days to do some exploring and get off the couch after a lazy weekend. Packed the car and headed north!
A slight diversion of the rail trail to grab this cache nearby. Quick find and log in good order.

Out and about caching in the Bendigo area today and decided to target a few on this trail. We found most of the ones we tackled and really enjoyed the walk through lovely countryside. TFTC
All quiet today no gunfire. Dropped off travel bug Madame Risette that I grabbed in Hoi An Vietnam, I wish her safe and happy travels.
A spot of caching on ANZAC day. Bendigo was deserted!
A lovely trail, will need to come back one day to complete it.
Thanks for bringing us here.

A day out with Cybergran V and LizzieandE testing out the potential of battery operated trail busters.
Our party had limited success with these mechanical devices with Lizzie and I prefering to hike it, but with great company in the great outdoors and a swag of smilies for our efforts, our day on the trail was a resounding triumph. [^]
Found quite quietly. I guess the range is either deserted today or the shooters are all using silencers.
Cache and contents in good condition. [8)]

Found at 8.50pm. We were camped at the range for the 1000yd shoot. A short walk and an easy find. Good cache contents. Bendigo range is a hard range to shoot well at. Frequent wind shifts and heavy mirage need to be mastered. I need more practice TNLN Thanks K&M
I have been wanting to ride my bike along this rail trail for quite a few years now. Today we had the opportunity. Teaming up with the twins from the OGomells we set off late this morning. A nice quick find in the obvious spot. TFTC
Quick find with tassie expat. Tftc. We've really enjoyed these caches while exploring this beautiful area.
A quick find with frmen1. I wouldn't be putting my hands there during summer. Even today, I used a large stick. Looks like others have done previously as there was an orderly pile near gz. TFTC
