Gps on my phone was bouncing all over, so used the hint and it was quickly in hand. Took a while to extract the kids from the open bush and even longer to get them and their sticks off the ford. Thanks for getting us out for a good morning.

Heading back from TGA, and had an hour spare to collect a few caches. Nice stroll to GZ, and with it being so hot the water was looking mighty tempting. Checked a couple of places before locating the cache. Took TB's. TFTC.

02-Jan-14
Heading back over the hill after completing Poripori and this made for a very nice find. GPS wasn't a lot of use so had to resort to checking a few likely spots before the right hide was located. Cache all good and left a couple of TB'z for the next passerbye

Well this became a memorable cache for all the wrong reasons. Driving up Ngamuwahine Road, made it to the extremely narrow bit and find a car upside down on the road with its occupants clutching their beers on the roadside Twisted Thankfully no-one was seriously hurt, but the delay was substantial as Police, Fire and Ambulance attended. There was a lot of backing up to be be done before the roadway was cleared of traffic. Finding the cache became most uneventful by comparison. I have been in here before, and knew exactly where to look. It's a very pleasant reserve and worthy of a visit. No problems with the finding, the signing, the returning or the sandflies. TFTC

Lovely walk & yet another beautiful spot discovered thro' caching. Have to admit the find took way longer than it should have, altho quickly found once I read the CO's log for the replacement cache - doh! TFTC

I found the tree that was hiding the cache and reached in to the most likely place. It had some treasure but I decided not to take anything. My brother and I had great fun playing in the river nearby and we saw a big trout.

3rd find of the day....just before tea.....ccrichie had to spend a little time on his knees checking out a few possible places.....he was a bit scared to sink his arm up to his shoulder down the holes!!!! I told him to get on with it.....nice and dry when he pulled it out. No swaps for us today though Sad

A day out at Ngamuwahine camp with the girls' kindy - perfect opportunity to find some 'treasure' with them. This was my last find of the day whilst the girls had a bit of quiet time before tea - with their friends. Quickly at GZ, but there are numerous places that fit the clue!!! Was in a bit of rush and so was grateful to find the right place 3rd time lucky....nice and dry!

A foul weather day couldn't keep me away from cache hunting.

This was a DNF last visit, so glad to find it in place today. The light drizzle turned heavy on arrival, and didn't really let up. A quick find as I knew where to look. TFTC.

glad it is now back up and running.

Cache checked, may have flown off. Replaced with a 1 litre systema, tucked to the right with stone on top and a big rock at the entrance.

27-Oct-12
Will disable and hope to check/replace soon.
Apologies for the delay!!

Drove in to start an afternoon of caching. Searched a few random places before spotting the tree in the picture.

There was a large stone wedged into a hole where it had no business. Nothing in the hole though. As others have reported this missing, think it needs a check up.

This cache may need checking after recent DNFs.

Found the likely spot, was scolder deep in hole still no luck, I do belove this one is gone, thanks for the hunt anyways

16-Jun-12
A very cold frosty morning with frozen puddles to negotiate on the way in. Spend about 10 min hunting in the locations indicated by the clue but there are lots of options and no luck. Didn't have the photo on the cache page and if that indicates cache location was probably looking in the wrong place. GZ indicated only 3 meters in the bush from the grass.

Checked photo before I went in, found the trees put no cache !. Did the loop track to streach the legs.

Wow, why so few logs for this cache? A nice wee challenge and very easy to get to. Mrs Splatty found the cache, another one that Mac Ross beat us to today, but there was no way she was going to retrieve it. In goes my arm, acting all brave!

Tftc!!

29-Apr-12
I see that Splatty was following along behind. Leg was OK to walk into here and remembered the photo to find the cache. I hope I can get back and do the loop walk although the North/south track will be first.
Thanks Geckoh

You are lucky Kennyclan - I have been to Arapuni today and past this road at 7.30am debating whether to go up but decided to be a sport and wait to the home trip. This is a great area and brings back memories of camping up here and yes there were always lots of mozzies. Had to walk a bit further than the GPS was telling me but soon saw a very likely spot. Thanks for the cache Geckoh - Oops sorry Kenny I got my date wrong - you beat me good and proper !
