Out and about this morning before work looking for some caches. Big Grin
My second find for the day. The path to this cache was flowing with water so the boots got a little bit more wetter. Razz

I came past yesterday on a flying pit stop and found #1 so I had to come back today for this one. Such a cool camo, very effective. SL and headed on, just in time too as a muggle was coming up the path. Thanks Bubblegum14

Called in on this one with my "out of date" notes and via the magic of iPhone, saw that both are off-line. Well, that explains a few things [:o)]. Had a nice stroll, if a little soggy, so not a total loss. Good luck with the rejuvenation process "Bubblegum14".

16-Feb-13
Have had a look and looks like Muggles have had a play. Will fix ASAP.

As mentioned in our found log for Boonooroo Caching we had come looking for remnants of the original 1900s Gold Coast train line. Our research indicated that as soon as we found Boonooroo Caching #2 we would find the beginning (or end) what was left of a cutting. And as it turned out, we were right.

We found what we believe was part of the cache container and what looked like a magnet which might attach something on the inside but there was no evidence of a logbook or internal container. So I guess while we found the cache we couldn't sign a logbook and that's one of the 'rules' of the game.

In any case we did find the rail cutting and took many photos for our research.

Thanks for the cache.

15-Feb-13
As per our DNF log, the internal container and log book are missing.

16-Jan-13
Having found number one, I decided to continue on and have a try at the next one. It turned out to be another great hide. I stood back and saw something that caught my eye. Thanks Bubblegum14 for some great caches.

15-Jan-13
This one took me a little while. First I looked and scratched around, then I poked with a stick and banged my head. Then I simply HAD to find an ants nest and a spider (insert Spider web dance sequence here*). lastly I had to find the slippery pile of leaves.
I decided to check for a hint and as I reached for the iphone to look it up, I spotted something a little too "neat" a few metres away. I picked it up and sure enough I had it! I swapped a few toys, there weren't any TB's in here today. Well done on the hide. I am giving you a Favourite point for making it worth my pain today Smile

Was passing by and thought that I should come in and have a look. I'm not sure about the hint but found the cache upside down and the inside out. Otherwise all intact. I replaced where the two pieces were. Thanks Bubblegum14. It thought that it was too dark to go for the one at the other end but found it all lit up and a family sitting right near GZ. Another time when passing.

25th find of 69 found in during the week of my holidays on the Gold Coast. Big Grin

Swooped through on my bike on a day focussed on clearing the NW quadrant of the area I tagged out around the accommodation. This was about as far away from temp home as I got - hit this from top of the hill, but had to stop too quickly at the bottom so as to commence my search. I had assumed a quick hunt, and so hadn't read too much on the description or hint yet. After a few minutes of nothing I read the description - no extra help there, but a D2 eh? and not a T1 as I had somehow assumed (no idea why). OK, the hint? Hmmmm, there's an old, dirty looking hankie sitting on the ground behind the seat. Do I touch this thing? This is why I always carry an extendable poking stick (and gloves if really needed). Nope, it truly is rubbish.

Oh, what's this over here then? Big Grin Very nice!

Thanks for placing this cache, Bubblegum14. Found in good condition.
{Overall find #1404}

12-Aug-12
I needed a bit of my favourite game this afternoon after having sat up most of the night till the early morning with my daughter in hospital and then sleeping half the day.

This was a pleasant walk along the concrete path to GZ but it was dog walker muggle central.

I was having real difficulty tracking down the location and the inquisitive dogs weren't helping, luckily their owners were not as interested.

I searched around for a while and then went to the previous logs and saw the notes about cache design and stepped up my search.

All of a sudden I spotted something which annoyingly I had seen earlier and had paid little attention to and I came up with the prize.

All was safe and dry, thanks Bubblegum for the amazing camo, I'm giving you a favorite point for design alone.

Our first cache!!! Awesome camo- almost gave up after 10 minutes searching. Didnt have a pen but took photo Smile

03-Jun-12
I decided I could do with a walk to stretch the legs so I legged it along the wet path to this one. I didn't see a soul the whole time I was in the area (this is the type of caching I like! Smile)

I looked around GZ. Hmm nada. Checked the hint. I found something - but it looked hmmm.. destroyed? Twisted. I widened my search to no avail.

I went back to my original GZ and I found something likely. Oh. It is the cache. What a great bit of camo - and it holds the cache very well. The log was in good condition. This one might need some checking out - but still a good effort. TFTC Bubblegum14 Smile

2nd cache of the day from Bubblegum14. We were alert due to his sneaky hides we were told about. Well finding this one was not too bad, but retrieving the log was again a bit more difficult. But once we managed to retrieve the log we had a laugh about it how easy it was once you use the right method. Thanks again Bubblegum14.

Loved the cache. Kids had fun playing at the "secret" playground, crossing the creek and running around. What a great spot. We took a soldier and dropped off a balloon and dino. TFTC

On a roll with these Bubblegum14 caches. This one is well and truly up to standard. Container is most professionally put together. I had to figure out how to open it, then when the business was done and it was all wrapped up I found I had left out the little pen. While this was happening darkness was dropping like a blanket and I had to move swiftly to get out of the park and hightail it back to my vehicle. Well worth a favourite from me. Rain was kind enough to hold off while i got this one.

26-Mar-12
Found this one quite quickly.

I really liked the way the container is put together, great work.

Thanks Bubblegum14

One Boonooroo cache down and one more to go. It certainly has been wet in this park as the mower guy has carved up a huge amount of muddy circles in the grass on his last visit.

The rain was only light and I managed to keep everything dry. A nice hide and thanks for the cache.

While signing the log one of those pesky cache dwelling frogs jumped on in.

Still in the dark with geofriend we proceeded to hunt for the next in this area.

Geo-granddaughter came with us without shoes. Suddenly....she said..."Oh! I just steped in something squishy and I don't know what". Geo mother asked if she had shoes on.."No, and I hope it isn't doggy do do". Guess what folks...it was.

Happy caching.....with shoes, please.

Well done Bubblegum14. Nice hide. We came last night but couldn't see it in the dark (and probably because we didn't read the cache page properly). Up early this morning and found the well disguised cache. Amazing what u can find in daylight. Having one tiny torch between the two of us didn't help. Lol. A bucketful of effort deserves a favourite too. Big Grin FTF Big Grin at 5:26am. We were surprized how big this park is and how popular even as the sun is coming up. Thanks for showing it to us.
