Sorry but another DNF Cankid. May need to be checked out. Oh so sad - this was to be my find in Lyons for the Mapping Challenge, now I will have to look elsewhere.
My first Lyons cache who'll be handy for the Canberra mapping challenge. I think I'm half way now. tFTC. Peaceful spot.
Had a nice run around the Woden area during the night and found this one off the track. Thanks for the hide.
Nice little peaceful Location here and soon found GZ and the cache .
Very quiet here on a Sat morning .
Many thanks to cankid.

Found, on our walk around Curtin, doing some caching and taking in the sights, and views. Quickly found, but given a little extra coverage on return, as it was a little exposed. TFTC Cankid.
Found It!
A quick find here while caching around Canberra. Nice little park!

Numerous times I have been quite close to this cache (usually while working), but have never had the time to stop and make the find, so today it was on my list of 'must find' caches.
I parked at the nearby shops and wandered up the hill on what had become a fairly warm day by now. Arriving at gz, the first thing I found was a wallet - still with bank cards and a drivers licence in it. The address on the licence was nearby, so after finding the cache I headed off to re-unite someone with their wallet.

A morning stroll around Curtin while waiting for a car service. A nice opportunity to stroll around the suburb and for it to reveal its treasures and caches. TFTC.
I begged to join my brothers Noodles22, and Catapult07 on a geocaching day out this morning, and I finally got an account set up to log my finds (after many trips out with Noodles22).
It was a really long day out as we travelled from Sydney down to ACT (and back!) and I can now claim 24 caches to my name!
Thanks for all the caches.

Noodles22 asked me if i wanted to join him on a caching trip today, and my younger brother Jakeblast tagged along as well.
We managed to find 24 caches, after the long drive and in the heat I thought this was pretty good for us.
Thanks for all the caches.

Found on the 30/12/2017 at 4:57:00 PM.
In preparation of completing the year of caching, I had the idea of heading down to ACT for some dense caching grounds and some along the way, but I invited a couple of my geobrothers Catapult07 and Jakeblast along. But with the long drive down they were accompanied with their Ipads, and it was difficult to separate them from the devices when it was time to leave the car to find caches.
In the end we found 26 (half of what I was hoping for).
Thanks for all the caches

Quick walk around Curtin today. Forgot to bring a pen, as usual. Ran across a few horse riders (which surprised me, as you wouldn't see that in a similar place in Melbourne). Nice views from here, especially on a fine day like this. TFTC
After lazing away the afternoon at gold creek and leaving genghicat to look after the little one, I'm slowly making my way to the old place to do some renovating before selling. That really does feel like work though, so I'm getting there very slowly. This cache makes for a wonderful distraction.
Another cache with a nice view in Curtain. There's so many nice walking tracks here. Thanks for showing me another I didn't know. Tftc. Cache is in good condition

Our 8th and last for the day around Curtin with my oldest geokid. I don't think this one strictly counts as a Curtin, and I have absolutely no idea what 'Ans' stands for but we made the find and my geodaughter finally got to place the swap she had been carrying around the whole time.... for a marble. But, she was super happy with this as she loves marbles and said it was a super clear one. Oh well, happy days!
As we pulled up in the car to get this, the radio was playing I Love Rock and Roll. Serendipitous! Tftc!
Sorry for the late log! Grabbed a few with Angel on this sunny Sunday morning. Quick find by Angel.
Cache 2953 on 10/9/17
Out on an early morning Sunday caching mission around Curtin with Bobl27. A quick walk from the parking waypoint and a quick find. About time I found this one, after using it to solve another mystery!
Thanks Cankid for the cache!

But early for the event so darzeeDi and I decided to look for caches in the area.
I picked up GeoGlors to go to the CanberraTrackfest 2017 event to earn the Canada souvenier and decided to go for this cache as it was on the way. We pulled over parked the car and then the little walk to gz. It didn't take long for GeoGlors to spot the container so we signed the log and off to the event. Tftc Cankid
Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Cankid for the cache.
Thanks again Cankid for the cache.
Nice and easy in a quite spot. BonEm and I had a good walk today.

After attending a CITO event this afternoon, Aquilus1 and I decided to pick up a few caches on the way home ; ) TFTC!!!
Was in the area today so couldn't leave without seeing what was close by
Stumbled about in the dark with one torch between the two of us but found soon enough. Thanks for the cache Cankid!

Found easily enough..along w the goaty thingy. Alas, no scribing implement within or with me:(. Tnln. HOTA
Another opportunistic cache on my walk this morning. This one proved much easier to find, although as I approached I was a bit concerned having no finds to date this year. But all was well, with the cache exactly where expected. TFTC.
A beautiful day in Canberra encouraged the pursuit of geocaches. This was a straightforward find with the morning sunlight glinting off the plastic cache holder. Some people had quite a party nearby and the ground was littered with empties, but the cache was safe.
Thank you Cankid for the cache.

#1203. Started my morning walkabout in Cankid country with a search for this particular cache, actually the closest one to my very temporary Canberra home. Still a bit crisp in the shade, but uh-oh, better stay aware of that blazing sun! I watched carefully for snakes in the growing grass, being not so familiar with their presence (or behaviour) on the Curtin ridge. After a not so troublesome search I found the small container where it should be. Signed the logbook and left everything as found. Thanks for the cache - off to next one!
3:25pm 18/10 - an easy walk to a tick off another suburb. No signs of redbacks.

After a rather indulgent week and little exercise this was a great find a few km from HQ. A lovely late night walk to enjoy the amazing views back to black mountain et al. It is hidden bush spots like this that make me love Canberra. Nice easy cache to keep the daily roll going. Tftc
A long day running errands for kids (and collecting A-Z Canberra Tour waypoints along the way!!), but by 5:30pm, I still needed my daily cache. So on the way back from my final errand, I stopped by to collect this cache. I think I've seen this log before !!
A quick scoot to the GZ using the headtorch, sign and return to the car. Then home to meet my nephew's two backpacker guests - that's 7 people in the house tonight. This quiet, reflective caching hobby certainly puts a balance to the rushing around. TFTC Cankid

With newbies team Dunnehunter (their second cache)
Out for an (VERY WINDY) afternoon geocaching around Curtin with very old friends who are brand new geocachers. The Ridgeo-pup and Dunnehunter Jr have formed quite the caching team. I'm trying to explain that the shortest route is not necessarily the fastest, but they don't care. DH Jr is focused on the find glued to the GPSr and amazingly not coming a cropper on the rough ground (with MY iphone ). The RP is assisting, pointing out suspicious looking piles of rocks. Thanks for the cache Cankid

No idea what the name of this cache means nor why this location was chosen!
However it seems to be doing very well and has never gone missing which is always a good sign.
After parking nearby we ventured over and found the well covered cache in good condition!
Thanks Cankid for bringing us somewhere we have not been before

A nice easy find after walking up from Lyons shops. A strong muggle presence in the vicinity was easily avoided at GZ. TNLNSL TFTC
Cute little cache in the bush, grass has gotten quite high so sturdy shoes are recommended! TFTC
A quick find as we were driving by a nearby street and we thought we'd make a detour. This gave us a cache for the day and then we headed on home.
Thanks Cankid

Found 9:38 pm. I had gone to look, dragging the geodaughter along, for a GCA cache not too far from here and when passing by this area saw this was here so decided to look for it. I've only just realised though later (a late log entry). That this cache had the dubious honour of being my 1500th find. Not exactly a spectacular cache but oh well these things happen. I parked not too far away and headed over to GZ, at GZ it wasn't too hard to find the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
I was out in curtin trying unsuccessfully to find another cache. No luck with that, so this was an alternative. It worked out to be a good one. Thanks for the find
Our first night time walk for the year, went for a short one around the neighborhood after work. TFTC
After dropping Pagan at work, this was a nearby cache to grab for the daily. A short walk in and the cache was in hand. All in good condition. Thanks Cankid
On the way to Walk with my family and decide to stop by here to do this cache, great hide. Cankid
Out riding through the area this afternoon and this was on the agenda to replace. One of my first caches with the original container! Now there is a shiny new sistema at GZ. Game on!

It is not often I get two caching outings in a day, but my youngest needed to get out of the house to stop fighting with his elder brother, so went a-caching. After finding a nearby puzzle cache, we dawdled home finding a few more. Quickly found after a pleasant short stroll. TFTC.

Thanks for the parking information. And thanks for who ever started the new dry log.
Lively day in one of Canberra' s many green areas. Old log very damp and the new one is also damp. Lid needs repairs. TFTC
Stopped by during the dreary weather, no complaints as it meant no one was about! Overturned a couple of rocks looking, and got what I think was a weird bite from a small insect, although since I haven't dropped dead yet, I think it's ok! Cheers!
Considering it was an overcast and miserable day, my grandad and I decided to do some urban caches. We parked nearby and walked on over. Man, the spiky grass seeds are ferocious around here! Found the cache fairly quickly. TFTC!
The threat of rain today wasn't enough to put me off an afternoon's caching around Curtin. We've had so little lately that I only half believed it would eventuate. But it did & the cool and damp conditions weren't unpleasant. Rain also means no muggles !
There's a bit of a natural circuit of caches around this suburb that I was keen to try. I used to run though here quite a bit in younger (and fitter) days, so I was familiar with the area.
Found without too much trouble. TFTC Cankid.

Lovely, peaceful location, great view. Log is ok but the container is wet, could do with being checked by the CO. Tftc.
