I don't get out this way much anymore for maintenance. It's been almost 10 years, so a good run. Thanks to all the finders...

A great view of the surrounding hills. We would have loved to have been able to drive up to the communications tower.
Thanks Pacmania for the placement.

Number 11 of 20 finds today plus 5 AL's with no DNF's on a Canberra-Bowning-Binalong-Galong-Boorowa trip. A good day out!
A straightforward find on the road to Galong. An impressive view of the mountain is to be had from this location. TFTC Pacmania.

Have been caching in Canberra and out of Canberra for a week and now off to Grenfell to visit friends and also do some caching as well. Today while driving towards Grenfell, stopped to do caches. Thank you to CO's for placing them there - much appreciated! TFTC
After a week caching around Canberra we are heading up to Grenfell for a few days to catch up with friends. Took a slightly longer but way more interesting route to our destination and collected a few caches along the way. Thanks to all the COs who have placed the caches so that we see more of the country side.
Floating around while the others use their amazing skills to find the cache, well, not much help was needed, *ThrosbyOC* had things well under control. Log signed and replaced and the scene evacuated OCW *Throsbyonchurch* and *DustyJasperJet*. TFTC Pacmania! Your efforts in placing and maintaining this cache is much appreciated.
Found -- 2:30 pm -- Thanks for the hunt and bringing us to this location *Pacmania*.
**Cache Condition:** Cache good.
**The Cache**
Wow, wow, wow. Giving this a fav for sure. Mt Bobbara is wow at the moment, covered in "Paterson’s Curse" / "Salvation Jane" with the rocks poking out the top. Stunning. The grass is long here and had me on high alert for wrigglers. We signed the log in either our names or our initials in some switcheroo form of LP, DJJ, ToC and then returned cache to its hide'y hole exactly as found.
**The Day**
OCW *Little Panther* and *DustyJapserJet*. Cruised down to Binalong to undertake some cache maintenance between here and Wyangala, plus a short few days camping. Want to stay longer but we have a thre day Scout hike committment. On our way to Yass for food and to complete some caches down the freeway that I was intending to target yesterday.
---
***Please don't be hasty - zip and wrap the bags - money, time and effort that has gone into them.***

Now that I had finished the Threatened Species Trail I now knew what I needed to get my target for the day (or so I thought). First goal was 100 and if I could 120 was the next (for Project-GC award). I had accommodation booked in Yass but in the end I went to Binalong and Galong to get a good start before heading into town just on dark.
Drove up this side road and quickly located the cache. Took a photo of the hill in the fading sunlight - doesn't show how purple the hill was.

Wow, shame you can't go up the hill. that would have made for a really top cache!
A great location however, and appreciate you taking us along this dirt back road too! Even better was that we could continue along it the whole way into the next town, perfect!
Enjoyed looking up the hill and at the spinning structure that mounted it, the cache was also a good find
Thanks Pacmania!

There is nothing better than a sunday trip getting caches. Signed dsd. Thanks for the cache and the adventure. All caches were an easy find and all were in great condition with plenty of room in the logbooks.
Found on a warm Autumn day for a drive around the area.
Mostly nice quick finds and generally good safe hides out here.
Cache condition is OK/good.
Thanks for the cache Pacmania,

Tankengine and I decided on a last minute trip together out and about the countryside.
We got a few caches that he didn't have and of course heaps that I didn't have. It was a lovely morning of caching ending with lunch in Binalong - which I highly recommend the Cafe on Queen. Thank you Tankengine for all the driving and company. I had a great day out.
This cache: As we were in the area and this was sort of on the way we were going to sropped by. The tower is very impressive and there was acute little ruins just up the road too, but it was on a farm probably so we didn't go exploring. The cache was a straight forward find and in good condition. Tftc Pacmania!!!

Parked and made a very quick find. I met an elderly gent who had just returned from running up the top of the nearby hill and back. He does it 3 times a week, very impressive. I drove up the top of the hill (don't try this in a 2WD vehicle) and the views were amazing. A fav point for the opportunity to drive up the top of the nearby hill. Thanks Pacmania.
Nice quick find here - pity you can't go up there, I'm sure the views would have been awesome! Thanks for the cache Pacmania.

Was fun following the path through the enchanted forest. Log signed, tb retrieved. Tftc and the radar was a nice surprise. I hankered driving up the mountain to take a photo
To get off the sealed road we took this one and enjoyed the scenery even more. A cache along here was a bonus. I dropped a Travel Bug in this cache at it looks to be safe from Muggles. The radar on hill opposite puzzled us. Is it for weather or military purposes? We couldn’t find anything to indicate what it’s for.
As I drove along the road approaching the cache, I was contemplating how smooth the road was - it must have been graded quite recently I thought... and then I came around a bend and saw a grader and roller parked at the roadside just near GZ. Yep, graded quite recently it would seem.
The cache was found readily.

After a failed mission to join the crew doing the ‘BLACK OPs - Carpe Noctem’ (GC32WN6) cache this weekend due to being unable to get time off work (on Friday and Saturday) and other commitments arising, I did however sweet talk my way into having Sunday off. This then lead me to take a look around and see what was available within my free day to make it a day out. After taking a look around the GC and GCA caches, I found 2 events on the same day close to each other and I decided on attending them both. After this I took a look at what caches I could find along the way and made my trail to make it an enjoyable day out. Something I didn’t expect was, a FTF which was on cache GA13305. This added to the fun. TB visit on all caches today. I would like to thank all the CO’s of the caches I found and for the fun and enjoyment I had while finding them.

My second find today. This one is to make a and turn it into a . Last time I was here I spent a good 15minutes searching and checking everywhere correct to the hint within 40metres of the GZ. This time I was out of my car less then 3minutes and I was on my way again. It feels good to finally have a on this one. TFTC

And here I thought we'd be climbing that magnificent rocky hill. I feel slightly disappointed and relieved at the same time. Normally I would climb it anyway but the remains of a cold leaves me drained very quickly.

Took the detour along this very scenic road. A mob of roos we making their way up Bobbara. Found the cache with out any problems. Thanks Pacmania
Excellent instructions and nice cache. Left a little red car which is a lot cleaner than mine at the moment. Everything is covered in dust, including me. What an impressive hill - I'd love to walk it one day when a replaced knee (hopefully) allows it. Can be seen from miles around - lovely area. Thank you
Found It!
A quick find here while on a bit of a detour from the main highway. Nice spot for a drive down a dirt road!

Loved doing this detour on my way to Temora. That is quite a steep hill.. Thanking you for not making me walk up it to claim this cache!
Found on a Xmas day travel day on the road .
Great views from here .

#3336 4 of 23 today.
I tried to gather some likely suspects for a trip out to the coast today, but was particularly unsuccessful being father's day and all. So I decided instead to head out past Yass to Bradman country - Cootamundra via Binalong. It started out as a lovely warm spring day, but a change came across with some very strong winds, but it stayed warm, hitting about 23C - the warmest I've been since about April !
Getting very windy now.

Decided to head out West for a few geocaches with Fitzy_1965, SpecimenX and Minniek. Fitzy has found so many caches close to Canberra that we needed to travel quite a way west! So we added about 1000kms, 50 caches and only a couple of minor scratches to our tally for the day. Definitely will have to head back and fill in some gaps! A fun day with lots of caching talk and wild geomissions planned. Signed as Charlie's Angels . Unless otherwise noted, the caches were all found quickly and in line with the hints.
Thanks Pacmania for the cache!

A short 1000km round trip out to West Wyalong and back with fitzy_1965, AngelG27 & SpecimenX. This was hopefully the last test for my probation to officially head out with the gang on future geomissions as a fully fledged 'caching wench' We signed all logs as Charlie's Angels today. Had many stories and laughs along the way.

Time for a geomission! So "Charlie's Angels" AKA Fitzy_1965, AngelG27, minniek and myself headed off to the South West Slopes to clean up some country caches Lots of laughs, great company and weather made for an awesome day of quality caching!

Had a long three days of caching with a total of 2054 km done! Enjoyed every minute of it despite some dissapointments as well. Most caches I found were really nice and in good condition, thanks to all the CO for putting them out there! Trip Kiama-down the Hume to Albury/Wodonga-Along the Murray to Cobram-back to NSW and via Hay to Ivanhoe=back down to Griffith-Temora-Yass and home.

Coordinates were about 5M out for me but Nana nel used her special powers and grabed the cache while I was bringing the hint up.

Finding caches on my way home from SA. An easy find down the co-r-ru-ggg-att-edd road. TFTC Pacmania.
After our busy period with the animal minding business slowly coming to an end, a plan was hatched with Rapidlywild for an assault on the caches around the region. The weather was kind, warm and overcast.
We stopped in Yass to commence this assault and then moved further north to Cowra.
After Cowra we decided to have a go at the Harry Potter mini powertail. After completing that we slowly headed our way back to Canberra collecting caches scattered along the way.
Quick find at this one once we figured out a safe place to park, not that we had seen any cars in this road.

Plans were put into place with one party of the FurfacesLL team to do a country drive and pick up some caches in Yass, Cowra, Young and surrounds. We made plans to set off early and headed North for a long day of caching. After finishing off Yass, we headed further north.
We had now finished off what we could in Cowra, and finishing off the Harry Potter mini trail. Seems we took the long approach to this one, the GPS'r decided to keep us on the MAIN road rather than the back road that leads straight to the cache, so we had to go south to then go north again lol. All good though, didn't take us too long to get there and locate the cache.
Log signed, cache replaced and on we went.
Thanks for the cache placement Pacmania

This was to be the last cache of a four day toad trip with Webguy.
I had a great time travelling the countryside, seeing some amazing scenery and finding LOTS of geocaches.
Now it's time to stop finding caches and cover the distance to home before the "leave pass" expires.
Thanks to Webguy for his great company & organising the road trip.
Looking forward to the next one already!
Thanks to all the cache owners for providing the geocaches for us to find.

A quick and easy find, and our last in this 4 day roadtrip that Wingnut and I have undertaken, sure, we had a bucket load still on the list, but there gets a time in the day where you need to get some KM's happening to get home at a reasonable hour.
We did 322 caches, DNF'd 5 or 6. Travelled nearly 1600kms and had a blast, thanks for being part of our roadtrip!!

Not much of a view at this time of night - but found it (yeah well I did look in two other stumps first)
Nice quiet drive on a back road which was very enjoyable, noticed the radar revolving up on the hill, quick easy find for the 13th on a day of caching. TFTC
I like going onto gravel roads looking for good caches. TFTC Left a weroamin token.
FrannyJ and I went to Cootamundra on this Australia Day long weekend and on our way home we decided to go off the track a bit to find this cache. Was a bit worried that Lois car might not like the unsealed road but we went down anyway. A great little spot to hide a cache and found pretty quickly. Tftc Pacmania.
It was a bit drizzly today, but that didn't stop us from taking a nice country drive and making a few stops to cache along the way. Visiting the area on a trip from Canada. We had a TB that likes to be near sheep, and when we made the find, we knew it would be a great place to drop. TFTF!
Travelled along a wet & in places slippery road – drizzling as we arrived close to GZ & did the short walk to cache – taken TB to move on TFTC / TFTH / SL
[:(!] Went for a weekend caching run to do the ES Series (Endangered Species Power Trail), after spending the night at Burrinjuck Waters State Park (I recommend it), I was once again on me way back to my abode and picking up a few caches along the way and this was one of them, parked the geocar as close as possible to GZ and walked in from there, on arrival at GZ the cache was located and it was in hand in a matter of minutes, once the fog had lifted, the sun was out and it was a marvelous day for caching after experiencing the previous day of miserable weather.
I love it

A nice location, but I was surprised by the amount of late season lambs that will find it hard with frost and upcoming cold weather. TNLN thanks.
Headed out early this morning on another caching adventure. Drove down the long black line to the Southern Highands and points beyond including Goulburn Yass, Harden, Young and some other places on the way home. Great cache. TFTC

Quick find, so quiet on this side of Bobbara... So many childhood memories!
Watched by the local bovine population, we parked in the shade and wandered along the fence line to the cache. We have explored some roads not normally travelled today and had a great time, thanks to cachers who leave things for us to find.
Did three U turns in this road trying to decide if we could get to Galong Castle by going on. Finally trusted the car GPS and turned around. Thanks for this cache and the others that get us out exploring places off the beaten track.
On our way home after a great overnight trip to Junee to enjoy the rail festival - riding the steam train to Wagga and back, a good look around the Roundhouse Museum and a visit to the chocolate factory. And then a cache or several on the way home, dodging the storms - what more could one ask for. Thanks Pacmania.
Did a cache nearby that has been taunting me for a while, then spotted this one in my list. Though it was nearly dark we decided to give it a go, making a detour back to the highway to Yass.
It was just on dark as we arrived. Went searching by the light of my phone and were a bit disheartened by the first few places out instincts told us to look. But we perservered and followed the GPS and were rewarded. Didn't see the Pathtag mentioned in an earlier log.
Lots and lots of roos on this road as we headed back to the highway. But I was taking it slowly because the road was so corrugated!
Thanks for bringing us out here. It is great to find new spots and detours.

Minor detour on the way to Temora. Took the GC and (I think!) left a pathtag. Nice drive here although we saw a dead young brown snake on the road and nearly hit some kind of lizard. Beautiful scenery here, the rocky hillside is very imposing. Took some photos then turned back to the tarmac road. TFTC!
This was our last cache after a weekend caching trip to Wagga. As we never intended to return home on this road our GPSers did not have this cache loaded but we spotted this on our phone and thought we would make this our last cache for the weekend as it was very dark. Chased a bunny up the road and had to wait while numerous kangaroos crossed the road. Around GZ the iPhone was all over the place. When I got out of the car it pointed back down the road and indicated the cache was 48 metres away so I started walking but after a few steps I recalled the hint and spotted a likely spot although it was nowhere near where the phone was pointing but low and behold there was the cache. Must come back here in daylight. TFTC Pacmania
A little detour on the way home, friend new to geocaching and I found this one whilst nan waited in the car. Took figurine, left hand-clapper.
Good weather for hang gliding off the mount - would end up in Sydney in no time TFTC
Found on the way to Griffith and a good spot for a cuppa. Havent been to the top of the mount before. Hopefully work may take me up there someday. Dipped 2 TBs through for milage. Thanks again Pacmania.
6525 + 822 = 7347. Found during a run through the Tumut region.
Next stop for the day. Heading home now via Gundagai. While not a fan of caching in the dark I decided it was still early enough to grab a few more before getting back to Canberra. Followed the dirt road until basically right on top of GZ. A quick careful walk over and soon had the cache spotted with my torch. Nice ! Now off to the next one.
Thanks again Pacmania !!

Heading out to the WWFME we realised he were ahead of schedule. This was easily fixed by detouring to grab a few caches on the way. Loved the detour and checking out equipment on the hill, its a pity you can't go up for a closer look. Thanks Pacmania
Thanks Pacmania for yet another great location. I have been driving past on the southern side of this "hill" since the early 1970's. I have had on my bucket list to get a closer look at this station for many years now. With your cache placed so close the day has come for me to cross location of my to do list.
Many thanks for another great location. Wombat

I really enjoyed this cache. The morning was not as hot as predicted, there was a hint of a storm in the air, and a slight breeze.
GrimRaider and I are really enjoying these adventures up side roads we would never have travelled if not for geocaching. tyfc
Another great location for a cache. The ruggedness of the the hill and the fantastic rock that almost apears to be sculpted is well worth the trip 'off the beaten track'. I might be exagerating about the track a bit. It is a well graded road and there is ample room to park and search for the cache.
TFTC, and of course to my fearless (almost!) other half KittyKatch.
