We are cycling A2O, and today we are spending the afternoon in Duntroon. Tftc!
A quick stop on the way home from Dunedin. Got some funny looks from people in a passing car. Little did they know we were signing the cache found there. Nice hide
Found by Doully in a most unlikely place. All good with this one. Left TB80T9D**TFTC**
Found while enjoying a sunny day in North Otago caching with Miss EU and drawp. Great cycle trails, made for some fun caching. TFTC
My mission is my first 3 day tramp on Stewart Island. The Seagnoid has Xmas off so we are off on an epic adventure with Zara around the South Island. The Seagnoid is navigator and scribe, Zara and I have teamed up and Im cache logger. We leave Tekapo for Alexandra today.
Finally at Danseys Pass, but with Benmore taking so much time, there is no time to explore much here, will be back. snagged and tagged this one our way past. Cheers

TaybeeDragon and I are off for a three day walk on Stewart Island. But we have a camper, so once you add in getting there and back, it's a three week trip. Day 7: Tekapo to Alexandra.
The original plan was to cache all of Dansey's pass, but alas time does not allow. So we'll get the earth caches, and maybe one or two others, and I will be back here at the Oamaru Mega.

During our journey around NZ with the campervan, today we were travelling from Oamuru to Glentanner. Again we saw beautiful spots and enjoyed our tour. On our way we found a lot of caches.

In the area in April 2017 and noticed that this didn't have a smiley when I thought that it should. Looked up my note book and sure enough I had found it in Oct 2016. I must have forgotten to press the submit button back then.
After biking Kurow to Duntroon, Mr D and i-gotit were off to Kurow to pick up car #1 and bring the transport back to Duntroon. So took the opportunity to bike a wee bit further.. sadly, the GPS had just malfunctioned so only showed the rough position before karking it - went to check a likely hide, there it was.
Stopped here on a day drive to explore the region and find a few caches. A quick find, I had intended to bike some of this trail today as there are lots of caches along it - however the wind and rain dissuaded me. Signed log, TFTC
The road is getting busy but there is plenty of room to pull over here.

Not sure where the train started, definitely where I accessed the cache from Quick find of the cache though!! TFTC!!
The second weekend of planned caching trips for Chelzea and I. This one started caching near Temuka and then on down to Timaru, Oamaru over Danseys Pass and then back to ChCh from Palmerston the next day. Long and winding trip in places but managed a good number of caches with only a few DNF's. Too many to remember in detail so sorry for the cut and paste logs but thanks to all the owners it was a great two days of searching new places for a good variety of caches.
On a mission around South Canterbury/North Otago. 114 found caches today. Thanks to all the CO's for their effort. Sorry about the cut and paste. TFTC.
I convinced Sunroller to accompany me on a tour of the caches around Duntroon, Earthquakes and other parts on the way to Kurow. We had a ball.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Quick found on my trip with pollo. from Oamaru in the mountains. Here we made a stop to consider the map an as we saw that here is a cache we just had to look and write our names in the logbook
Thanks for hiding.

Holidays in New Zealand! We have been looking forward to them for years. We had lots of time to prepare ourselves for a great trip. As geocachers, we also picked out a number of great caches. Armed with a "to-do list" and accidental encounters we were lucky to log many caches. Thank you for placing them and keeping the game go on!
Day 25/28: Invercargill - Dunedin - Twizel
Around Dunedin there are some oldies we wanted to visit. Furtheron, there were too much caches to stop for. The ones we encountered were signed, many thanks for placing them. We had great fun.
This was found number 7007

Went a roadtrip today to reach my goal of 1,000 before the new year. With a muggle we put a pin in the map (Duntroon) so off we went, as we needed to meet out goal didn't start caching till we reached Oamaru. Although it wasn't the ideal weather we have great fun and at several of the stops along the way decided to get thermos and choc bickies out.
This cache was a very clever hide bit of a clamber to reach it and managed to get this out and back without drawing attention.

Headed down south with C&D and 11HPG11 for the CHCH Mega as part of the HOAC team, and decided that a Mega road trip/Mega Mission was the right thing to do. After a great day caching from Dunedin to Omarama we manged to get a few hours sleep before the big day 2 started.
Day 2 was the start of a ambitious plan to try and find as many caches as possible in one day! To maximise our chances of a big number we decided a 24 hour caching day was the only way to go. What an epic day, and some great moments too. The rough idea was to cache from Omarama to Oamaru, and then head north towards Christchurch. A huge thanks to everyone for the cache placments, and I apologise for the copy and past logs.
Find #84 for the day.

This was the start of a MEGA caching weekend in the company of good caching friends. In the company of both HKCB & 11HPG11 this was going to be another memorable caching road trip for many reasons.
This is the mission that we had set ourselves up for several months back. It was HKCB's idea, I was just dumb enough to think it was a challenge and I'd be up for it, 11HPG11 was silly enough to come along for the ride once we confirmed a spare seat (Nova Lightening pulled out for family reasons).
We were going to try to beat the NZ one day record in New Zealand (it would have been easier with 4 people), so after 2.5hrs sleep after a good feed at Omarama we were ready to go. This was the eighty third on what was to be an epic day with what amounted to 401 caches collected for the day and about 38 DNF's. We managed this with 10minutes to spare but by this time we were done for and still had to drive back to Kaiapoi. All in all an epic days caching with good friends and something I don't think any of us will repeat in a hurry.
All in all it was going to be a big day with a number of challenges, great sceanery, and of course great company. Fantastic driving along and up here as the landscape was so different from what we are used to back in the Waikato. One good thing about backroads being that we could continue our neferious activites without being disturbed by muggles.
Nice quick find here without any issues .
thanks for the placement , thanks for the cache

What a Mega Mission for a group of Hamilton Over Achievers! A great trip, a long time in the planning. I teamed up with Cats&Dragons and HKCB to grab a couple of caches while in Christchurch and surrounding areas for the 2015 Mega Event. We flew out from Auckland on Friday night and traveled to Dunedin in the dark of the night. Stopped for a few hours sleep before setting off to grab caches in the Otago area on Saturday before attempting a few more on Sunday and then arriving at the Mega on the Monday. An amazing, yet crazy road trip
When C&D mentioned a day with over 400 caches I should have turned and ran... instead I said yes, and here we are. 401 caches in 23 hours and 50 minutes. All done on about 2.5hr of sleep. It was hard work with only 3 of us and there were times that were hard and tiring but I still had a blast! An amazing experience that one has to be slightly crazy to even consider
No problems on this one, thanks for the placement. Easy to search here in the dark!

After a pleasant night Freedom camping at Hakataramea. We parked on the isIand and went for a stroll.
The drain s in the camper van were blocked. A kind local guy fixed the problem.
So we ended up having lunch in Kurrow at the start of the hill walk. We completed the hill walk and had a well earned ice cream. Nom nom.
Now we're staying in Duntroon. We had our tea and BBear44 reluctantly joined me on a wee bike ride. Nice views while biking down this road.

Camping here for the night. Quick dinner in the lovely sun and headed off on the bikes to collect a few caches before dark. Cheers for all the caches.
On a road trip with VDH56 and I.C.U. last for the day before heading for a well deserved drink.
Thanks to all the owners of the geocaches that we found today on our way from Oamaru to Duntroon, Kurow and Omarama. We had splendid views and nice caches along the road!
TFTC and greetings from Belgium.
TFTC and greetings from Belgium.
Quite a busy corner but the long grass afforded some cover from muggles while I filled in the log.
Quick find before heading to Kurow. We just came over Dansy's Pass... great trip... well worth it. TFTC
Easy find by VictoriousOne (not TwoSharpe) This is a trail want to do one day. Took TB
Quick find. It is getting cold now - should we go further or stop caching for today? Okay, a few more...
A quick easy find. The container is cracked but it was perfectly dry inside (see photo)

#997 - A cache so far away from the street? Okay - there is a kind of path direct to the cache - in Switzerland we call this a cacher-highway. So the only thing I had to do was to folloing this way and - yes here it is the small one. 3 caches 'till 1000.... TFTC.
Had to climb down the bank twice after realising I had left the GPS down there.
Many thanks

Headed out for a weekend of crazy caching with sharkiefan - it was all about numbers this weekend!
For me personally, I needed the numbers so that I could get enough caches to bring my average a day back up to 4 caches at least for this year, as on a streak it's not really possible to find heaps of caches in your home hood!
This was cache number 2 out of the 116 we found over the two days. And a huge thank you to all the cachers who put out all these caches! Loved the fun time we had - though weekend could have ended better!
Sorry for not writing cooler logs, but heading overseas in a couple days, and I don't exactly want to be behind in my logging then!! Haha.

A quick find on our family trip from Wanaka to Oamaru. Probably not a good idea to try riding your bike down to gz.
